So far we have had a really good experience with AHS! The contractors sent to us have been professional and quick to get in touch, and we are happy with our results. One hiccup occurred the other day when the rep. on the phone tried to tell me that a service was not covered (follow-up from previous service) - when it is indeed covered. Also, she was a bit difficult to understand as we spoke. But OVERALL, we are happy with AHS.

When they did get there, they were nice and professional (and on the phone too) - but it just doesn't seem like anyone is in much of a hurry to get things done. I needed a washer repair... it took over a week to get scheduled, but then the technician was great. Needed a part, another 7+ days. Then to try to reschedule was the run-around. AHS gave me instructions to call service company directly... held 20 min. to be told by them, AHS has to contact them to get it rescheduled. What I found is, the 1st call goes pretty smoothly, but the follow up is hard to schedule on-line or to make contact with the service company. Needs to somehow be streamlined please.

Recently our dishwasher stopped working . After first visit it was clear that it will need to be replaced per the assigned technician. However, AHS went with replacing parts and had us pay service fees for additional two repair ticket. Post which they agreed to replace; and gave option to choose but not great value options. When ordered one which suited us they just left on us to deal with the warehouse and Manufacturer as we received two damaged appliance and it has been over an month we are without Dishwasher. Bad experience. We have neen customer of AHS aince 2008 and never had such bad experience., but this incide t really begs us to question the value of continuing with them as Platinum member.

The service call was great, they came out right away. Unfortunately, my refrigerator has to be replaced. The first time they were supposed to bring the new refrigerator, they brought the wrong color. They were apologetic, scheduled a new delivery for 3 days later. The second delivery no one showed up. I called to confirm the delivery, the rep said "Oh yeah, they'll be there". No one came. The delivery time was 2-6, I called again at 5:30 to confirm, I was told the delivery center was closed and if it was scheduled they would be there. I have taken off of work twice now, one for the 1st delivery (wrong color) and 2nd one for a no show. I still don't have a refrigerator and have lost time off of work twice. Now I have to call in the morning to see if maybe they can try a 3rd time. Completely unacceptable.

I have been enrolled in AHS for many years. I have always had a very good and pleasing experience for those past years. However, my current and most recent experience is turning out to be negative! After MANY follow up calls, I have yet to have a resolution to my AC breakdown and no one at AHS seems to be able to give me a clear answer on whether or not the parts I need have even been ordered and therefore to ETA on when this thing will be fixed. AHS are supposed to be ordering the parts for the contractor. No one seems to know if or when ....

very easy to schedule service. Generally fairly quick response. Have mostly done a very good job at repairs and repair firms have been good. My only issue is that occasionally it requires two visits when repair is a patch rather than an actual repair. Very courteous customer service folks when seeking problem resolution. Cost is not cheap but overall we have been very satisfied.

Had an issue with hot water not coming through to bathroom washer & shower. Plumber fixed it, but after running laundry and taking a shower the next day, there was leaking from this water source. I asked for a call-back and the first rep I spoke with said since this issue was a result of the first call, it would be free. However, no appt was scheduled. I called back, and a different rep said that I needed to pay another $100 deductible because a leak is different than hot water. American Home Shield will nickel and dime its customers instead of serve them. On the bright side, the reps are very responsive and seem to schedule contractors pretty quickly.

AHS has been either really good or real bad. Service request for dishwasher was completed in 3 days with no issues. However my HVAC went out and AHS sent a service tech to look at it and mistakenly called it a pre-existing condition. This confusion was easily overcome by an HVAC technician receipt I had who serviced the unit post inspection and prior to me closing on the house. This receipt showed the unit to be in normal working condition. After speaking with AHS, they told me they could schedule a second opinion but then AHS proceeded to schedule the same HVAC company again who gave the first opinion. I called AHS and they apologized and put me back in the que for another company. Three days later I looked online at my account and the second opinion request had been closed. When I called to ask why, their answer was they couldn't find a second company and management made the decision to deny the claim. I explained the proof that I had but the representative just repeated the denial as if reading it again. I asked for a supervisor and again explained the situation. The supervisor asked me to email the proof of HVAC in good working order to her and told me she would elevate the issue higher. Three days later I called back to check status but found no decision made. That afternoon I received a call from AHS from the supervisor who told me the claim was still denied but couldn't tell me why. I then explained again that the HVAC was working when I bought the home and read the technician comments on the receipt proving so. I then explained this was my last call before I was to bring the case to court. The supervisor then agreed to reopen the request for second opinion. It has been another 2 days and no repair tech has been assigned.

While some of the customer support team has been helpful, I've also had some that either couldn't or wouldn't really help. The last person who I spoke to, refused to answer my questions and kept repeating what sounded like a rehearsed prompt even though I had already told them exact time and details that I was given information by the electrical company. They gave me details, but when I spoke to support asking why this was the outcome, the support person repeated that they have no access to that info yet another support person was able to easily provide it since they had to do a recall for my original request. But besides that, I'm also getting conflicting responses about my coverage even though when I originally decided to go with American Home Shield, that certain things would be provided. So far, I'm not having the best time being with American Home Shield.

I have had some really good experiences with American Home Shield, but there have been a couple of service providers who have been pretty bad. I have been waiting for over 3 weeks for a dishwasher repair, that was just replacing a drain hose. I have repeatedly had to contact the service provider for an update. On two different occasions he was supposed to call me with an update regarding receipt of the part, but failed to do so. Today, he was supposed to be here to complete the repair between 4 and 6 pm, but did not show up and didn't even have the courtesy to call. This is the second issue I have had with this service provider, and if he is assigned to a future repair for me, and AHS will not provide a different service provider, I will cancel my coverage.

The contractor made a statement that was taken wrong and American Home would not consider the time the plumbing had been functioning without a problem. The contractors wrote something to keep you folks from paying to have the repair taken care of. The plumbing had been working for over 12 to 15 years, with no problem. Another plumber( (that is not concerned about any he may encounter said his opinion it should be covered. The contractor provided my your company had to return to repair a simple faucet replacement because they didn't fix it the first time, ( they didn't have the faucet in their truck. Very unprofessional. They dud not secure the new faucet well and I need to call and HOPE they will return again and secur the faucet before it creates another problem. I will call them for this, never will Icall them again!

The ease of service request on the web is very easy to use and the contractor assignment is quick as well. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star is because they send out solicitation emails on maintenance specials like dryer duct cleaning. AHS assigns this contractor, but in one instance I had a problem because of the contractor and they had no record of it since it was not a service request. Even though they chose / assigned the contractor to me they felt exempt of all responsibility.

I was very pleased with my first experience with American Home Shield. Our dishwasher was broken, so I filed a claim. Within a few days, an appliance repair person came out and fixed the problem. My second interaction with American Home Shield has been a nightmare! Two weeks ago, we woke up to water spraying everywhere in our garage. I filed a claim, but they couldn't send anyone out until Monday. We turned the water off to our house to temporarily deal with the problem. The first plumber came out and said the water pressure was too high. A second plumber came out on Friday and identified three problems with the plumbing associated with the water heater (recirculation pump, pressure valve was leaking, and the expansion tank). We had to wait for approval to get the recirculation pump replaced. Now we are waiting for the part to be ordered. We still don't have a date for when this will be repaired and that is very frustrating.

On June 16 you sent a plumber re: leak in shower master bath.He agreed there was a leak and told me I had to tear out the shower wall and drywall so he could get to the pipes. I did that on June 20. Called them back to inform them of that. He returned a couple days later and said the valve (sor some part..I don't know was so old. He did try.. he didn't have one and Home depot didnt. so he said he would keep trying and whole thing might have to be replaced. I said Just fix it..because my guest shower can't be used due to I have ordered a new door and it is not here. So this was mid week around the 22nd.I did not hear anything that week, i called and texted and finally they said they would check with him to see what was going on. On july 5 they texted he was on his way. He replaced , I believe , a value. Then I called you to see if you could replace the drywall and put back in the shower wall.. She said that she would call me back. That was three days ago.I still don't have shower in my house since the new door in other room not here yet.Just tell me something..anything..so I can move forward.Thank you.Sherry Jones

AHS advertised AC tune-up coverage for Platinum members. There was no clear time frame or instructions on how to request this service on-lime besides the only request service option available . When I called to make an appointment with the assigned service contractor for the AC tuneup, they didn't reject my request at the time of the booking because it's not available during this time. Instead, when I was told that's not covered after the service rep arrived at my home. I wasted the whole day waiting and they took my $75 without performing any work at all. This is unfair and unacceptable practice.

There has only been 2 times where the appliance that needed fixing took 2 weeks due to ordering of parts (washing machine and the refridgerator) but over all we love AHS. They send people in a timely manner. The technicians are very nice

It is very difficult to understand the person, which is frustrating when you need assistance. I have had an AHS policy on my residence for over 25 years and when i resently purchased 2 rental properties, I selected AHS believing i was getring the xoverage needed. That was an enormous mistake. The rental property policy is very limited and restrictive and should be made to be as comprehensive as my primary policy. The approvals for issues are not consistent and make no sense.

I waited 4 months for my refrigerator repair which is difficult because it is a high end unit and the contractor was not familiar with it. I love AHS but will not rely on it for my refrigerator repair again because the contractors who can repair it won't accept your trade fee. But in every other instance I have loved the convenience and professionalism of the service providers.

I have had some service companies come out that seemed knowledgeable and competent. But I do not have confidence that AHS is vetting the service companies very well. I had one company assigned to fix our HVAC, and it dragged out for MONTHS and MONTHS. That company not only did NOT actually fix the problem, but they made multiple mistakes that would have caused a lot of damage if another company hadn't found and fixed them. In the end it just cost us money and no actual resolution. And when I did try to locate a contact for AHS to register my concern about this company, I could not find any place to do so!!! So while I have had some problems resolved with a satisfactory (and even good) level of service, now I fear who may show up at my door if I file a claim.

It has taken 3 calls to get someone dispatched for a dishwasher repair. The first 2 calls resulted in customer service closing service orders when there was no contractor available. The third call resulted in an AHS open order for oven and dishwasher, as I requested.however, the contractor was only aware of the request for dishwasher repair. I understand the difficulty of getting contctors at this time. However, it is not ok for me to have to keep calling AHS to open a service order bc customer service hadn't followed through. I felt badly for the 3rd rep, she did her best and did get at least the 1 dispatch cared for. AHS did dispatch a plumber recently, with no problems. I would like to have a phone number or email to contact AHS if an issue is not resolved. The only recourse is customer service line. The account information on my login page is not current, so I cannot rely on that. I think AHSis having understandable issues in this current environment finding contractors and parts. Please do a better job of training customer service to follow through, or hire appropriate snagging if demand has increased.

3 Sundays ago my well stopped working at 6:30 am. I called AHS and went through the phone menu. Within 3-4 minutes I had a work order number and name of the company scheduled to fix it on Monday. I called their emergency number. I got a call back and he arrived at 8:45. He fixed it by replacing the motor box and it was fixed by 9:45. Perfect
