It took 3 weeks for my refrigerator to be fixed. They just increased the monthly fee by fifteen dollars which makes it unaffordable to me. I will have to cancel in August when my year is up. Up to this point, I would have recommended it to anyone.

AHS said they didn't have a contractor to install my dishwasher and sent me an email equesting that I get my own installer. Then they denied that they told me this and refused to allow me to send documentation, saying AHS is not allowed to send or receive emails because they "might be used to hurt the company." If this isn't promptly resolved I'm cancelling my two policies.

AHS is a huge ripoff. I would caution anyone that is looking due a home warranty company to not use American Home Sheild. I have been with them for over 7 yesrs with relatively few claims. However, I now need them to replace my ac and they are giving me the run around. I have been without ac for over a month and a half. Presently, I have had to get a lawyer involved to assist me in getting my ac replaced by AHS . This is a very bad company.

The customer service is not good . Most of the customer service reps are in a foreign country and that makes it difficult to understand them . Also AHS is a rip off .... not paying for much of anything anymore. Your prices are steadily going up and you’re declining to pay for most things .... via reciting the contract . We thought A-US AIR CONDITIONING had done a good job and we left them a good review, a few hours later we discovered that when they blew out the condensate line, they separated a joint and water damaged the texture of the wall below. I have tried to contact them multiple times to see how they want to handle paying for the damage. Apparently, they want to do nothing. If AHS sends you to them, I would ask for someone else. Our problem is NOT with AHS other than that they said we just had to take it up with the contractor.

Hot water heater tank is leaking. Had to turn the water off from my street for the leak to stop . I do not have water. Been a week now... Still waiting for approval from warranty company. I feel like certain things should be a priority. Running water is one of them. Very disappointed. Still waiting.

American Home Shield does not have any quality control for services provided by contractors. My experience has not been good as contractors of AHS not always perform a good job. This makes more work for AHS as customers call to take care of bad jobs.

called about ceiling fan being really noisy. contract says it would cover all parts. service call was made and the contractor said there is still noise so contractor would submit for replacement. no follow up from AHS. I called twice, first time they said they would call back within 24 hours. no calls. I called second time, agent said it's not covered afterall and won't be replace. DON'T RECOMMEND THIS WARRANTY IF YOU NEED REPLACEMENT It won't be replaced.

Extremely disapointed with the additional coverge we paid for. When it came time to repair, claims would not cover. Even getting the service contractor to explain that the part needed was part of the working system, claims would not listen. When transfered to customer service-resolution, to cancel my policy, the customer service rep, after an hour on the phone, made it exremely difficult to even cancel the policy. Very deceptive online portal to get customers to sign up for additional coverage, but you rely on "small print" contract stipulations.

You guys told me to confirm an out-of-pocket amount that was quadrupled an hour before the technician came, and all you could say was “sorry”. One of your representatives told me that I should call AHS to confirm the information I get in your emails. I had to make the payment, as I hadn’t had hot water in two weeks waiting for the plumber to arrive. I’ll be canceling my plan.

Working with customer service is not a good experience. Most are hard to understand since they are foreigners who are extremely hard to understand. Secondly, it sounds as if they are reading a script without understanding what the problem is. Third, literally no follow thru nor follow up. Lastly, when trying to go to a higher level seems impossible and even when you do get to a higher level, it is a voicemail in which it does not matter if you leave your information - no one calls you back
