I have been a very satisfied customer of American Home Shield for years. I have contacted them with appliance issues and it is painless. Stuff wears out, and when it does you can call or go to the AHS website and request service. The repairman comes out and problem solved! Really, what more could you ask?

We have had American Home Shield for several years and worked with them for repairs several times. Overall, I have been thankful to have the protection and peace of mind. The process however can be lengthy and I wish that consumers had more choice in the service provider we would like to work with. When our a/c went out last summer we had a very difficult time coordinating repair. All of the repair companies were understandably busy, it took many phone calls with lengthy wait times, but we were able to finally obtain a waiver to choose a repair company on our own because the AHS providers were either unresponsive or too busy and unable to meet the service level agreements. The situation was stressful, but I received my reimbursement as promised.

Our AC unit went out. It's been 2 weeks since the diagnosis and nothing has been done yet. Today is Friday. Was told it will be done on Monday day or Tuesday. I'll be canceling after they install new unit

If I could find another home warranty, I would leave. My last experience almost cost me an additional service fee due to the lack of training of some of the call agents. It required a supervisor to call me back.
