I like knowing I have some type of protection for home. I do not like that issues cannot easily be resolved when I’m away from home. I have to be present and most of the time I have to do it myself with someone over the phone. For this kind of service I don’t like that monthly rate went up more than $3 per month.

Thermostat has never connected to vicinity as it was supposed to. The front door always says it fails to lock when it actually locks. Other than those 2 issues giving works for us.

disappointed with the install and the quality of the equipment. we have had multiple issues with our door lock. I dont like that I am required to spend an hour on the phone with support trying to fix the issue before they will consider sending a tech out. I'm upset that when I was having issues with the poor install of my equipment the response was vivint will send me glue and I can fix the problem. the customer should never be required to fix the mistake of the business.

Vivint had a good offer at the time I purchased it. They have always been nice when I have called in. My favorite part is the video camera for my doorbell. The only problem is my keyless entry. It always flags on the monitor that it's not locked when it is locked so I don't know what the issue is but that.

I like everything it's supposed to do, like allow me to see security video footage from anywhere any time. Unfortunately, it only works about half of the time; often the mobile app will sit there buffering for several minutes and sometimes refuses to show the footage I'm after until I eventually give up.

Thinking about switching because the cost is a little bit high. The security system is good like anything on the market. It is easy to use. The app works good. My problems are with them not communicating with me about the internet. My internet went out over Christmas and I never got an email that there was a problem.

Vivint is not as good anymore because of covid. Functionally it is very good. There used to be a team of technical people to come and fix things but the structure is not there. They still do a pretty good job.

I have security cameras but I don't get notifications on my phone that someone has triggered them, while they present I can see playback later but not while they are at my residence. The cameras also go offline quite often. I sometimes get error messages when trying to view footage from the cameras.

After 5 months I’m still having a hard time trying to get everything installed. We called to make an appointment but the contractor was only tracking to put in the thermostat. We still have cameras that need setup, and a garage door remote controller. I wish we never agreed to go with this service since I’m stuck having to pay for products that Im not even using. I’ve even asked vivint to take some of them back. First I was told they would accept them, and that we would get credit towards my bill since the job isn’t complete. I’m still making my regular payments, and now they’re saying they won’t take the products back. It’s a good Idea and system, but honestly it’s worthless when I can’t even get it installed properly, or get proper help. I can’t really tell what the issue is. I made the choice to pay for this service but at this moment I feel like I was misled into thinking I was getting more than what I actually got, and I feel trapped. I think The biggest downfall is lack of communication and inconsistency within the customer service.

The service from start to now, was hurry up and make the sale to have CPI removed from the house, install your equipment. We were lied to that our front door lock would continue to work with the system. No, now we have been told that it has to meet Z wave tech specs. The cameras and panel disconnects from wifi all the time, never had that problem with CPI.

Expensive, overpriced, and they charge way more than equipment is worth... and lock you into a five-year contract. There are many other security companies out there that are much cheaper, don’t require a technician to come out for every little change you make, and don’t require a contract… And for only a fraction of the cost to get more features and benefits with other companies. I wish I would’ve done more research before choosing Vivint.

The security system works okay. It takes a long time for the front door to display on the panel when the doorbell rings— upwards to 45 seconds to load. Also, cameras do not work on echo displays.

Good customer service. I have 4 cameras with Vivint and 3 of them are not recording. I tried to get the issue dealt with and spent twice with a representative. To this date they did not help to get the cameras recording and I am considering whether to stay with Vivint or not. This issue should have been fixed long ago.

Love the system. Just do not enjoy the sales people continuing to show back up at my house try to up-sell me more. I own your product and pushy salesman are the last thing I want coming back. The last one 2 days ago came I’m up. I told him I wasn’t interested in anything he was selling he said “I’m with vivint so you already have me. So let’s talk about your solar panels next....”PLEASE stop pushing for more. It’s still the pandemic. Email me...don’t try to come in my house

It’s ok but can be bette. I have issues be where the camera are not working as explained. Doorbell doesn’t always capture people come to the door. Also front camera doesn’t always work with the lingering feature. Automated options are very limited .

I have an ongoing issue that has never been resolved. The back door sensor will stop talking to the system. We have replaced the sensor and the issue is still there. It is well within reach of the main base. Nobody can fix it.

I am paid a bit to much and the cameras go off for some time I have to keep resetting the panel screen my door bell camera would not connect but said it was connected at the end the cameras work when they want too after a day or two this has happened 3 times now I’m might cancel after I finish paying off the products
