Super disappointed in customer service. I was told that if there was something I wasn't happy with after the installation I had 30 days to call and they would come remove it and put original back on. I have called seven times since September 2, 2020 and no one has called me back no one has showed up I tried calling the sales guy and his name is Luke and he never returned my call either.Not really a happy camper with them right now.

The system seems to work fine. The sales process was very “slick”. First he explained the hardware was without cost just pay for installation and monthly monitoring. Great deal! Then after signing the paperwork I get a ding on my phone that someone was doing a credit check on me. Then I find out the “free” hardware is being financed. That's why they install same day so you are sort of stuck. Sure you can cancel but then you're left with holes in your walls.

I have been pleased with the user friendly Vivant system. The picture from the cameras is sharp. The doorbell cam/speaker is easy to and works well. Overall, the system works as it should and as it was presented to be by the salesperson. However, I give Vivant the lowest rating in trustworthiness, based off of the shady sales practices. Multiple neighbors purchased a Vivant system all within the same week from the same salesperson. However, once we started talking to each other about what we got, we realized many of us were paying the same monthly price but had different levels of equipment. For example, my next door neighbor got keypads on 3 doors, 3 cameras, and a garage door lock. I got one keypad, 3 cameras, and no garage door lock, yet we are paying the exact same price. Vivant's system may work well, but their sales practices are garbage. Watch your back.

It's not very complicated to use. When I was having trouble turning on the night light, I got prompt service. You are limited on where you can mount it because it needs to be near an electrical outlet.

Fully accessible from my phone. It is good equipment. Never causes me issues. I would love it if I could customize the sound of my doorbell, like if I could have the Harry Potter theme as the ring. They are very receptive and explained things in customer service.

Initial setup was good but lacking in follow through; I didn't even get a sign, which was the first sales part of the sales pitch... I'm not overly thrilled with the wired setup but it's not overly invasive. My biggest concern is notifications. I made adjustments to the sensitivity parameters and notifications disappeared. They were still gone after I reverted to their initial settings. Other than that, it's not a bad system.

After the first couple of weeks, the cameras began to pick up less objects that were in range. The cameras also stops recording while people are still within range; sometimes even by the door. The live streaming only functions properly from the smart hub within the home. Anywhere else, on any other device, the live feed starts buffering after a few seconds. Requiring you to refresh the app multiple times.

Frustrating. The tech took several hours to install and couldn't get my Nest synched up with my system, after having me change my log in email and credentials through Google. The rep misspelled my name in my account and promised to fix it after the fact...2 months later it is still not fixed and I have sent him 4 unanswered messages over the last 3 weeks and have been completely ghosted. The garage sensor no longer works from my phone and a tech was supposed to come out to fix it but I have heard nothing back. And the one time my alarm did go off in the middle of the night it wasn't loud enough to wake me for 30+ minutes. So I'm frustrated and dissatisfied.

My experience with Vivint has not been too great. Five days after the system was installed my sliding glass door sensor stopped communicating with the panel, all that was offered was a replacement part that I had to install myself. Well that was a while ago and it is still not installed as I don’t know what I’m doing nor do I think it’s fair after only a few days of service that I’m expected to replace the part myself. So that sensor is useless. Also one day when my family got home when we walked through the front door and the alarm didn’t go off, we checked the panel and the panel still had the glowing red light and said that the system was armed, so it’s safe to say I have little to no confidence in this alarm system. Most recently the panel said the front door sensor was not communicating with the panel so now I have problems with two sensors and only had the system a month. I recommended the system to three people and one has already had the system installed, most likely I will not be recommending Vivint in the future and hope the people I recommended this system to have a better experience. If I could cancel this contract I most definitely would.

The sales guys showed up at my door and were very nice. They sold me on their cool cameras and said they could install the same day and my new cost wouldn't be much more the the $28 per month I was paying. I agreed and they started installation right away. Of course the cost was way much more than I expected. I not only had a higher monthly monitoring cost, but I also had a new loan for about $2400 for the equipment. In addition, the Vivint sales guy didn't ask me if I had contract costs remaining on my current contract. Turns out I still owed several hundred dollars I had to pay. I must say, I'm not enamored even though the system is nice. I feel like they took advantage of me. I do not appreciate this marketing technique and I feel like I've overpaid.

Very smooth salesman; told us we would get 2 months free to “try it out” if we liked it, or could return everything with no issue. We were charged immediately and never received any months free. Never had any follow-up from anyone. So far the doorbell / driveway cams and system overall are functioning fine. “No contracr” but we’ll have to pay over $2000 to pay off hardware if we cancel before the 2-year financing plan is over.

I know that we could have saved a ton of money by purchasing the equipment on our own. I am stuck in a contract now and half of the time our cameras don’t even record the activity. I can’t always depend on the cameras alerting me and when they do the image freezes. The front door lock had never consistently worked like it is supposed to. The batteries that they installed in glass break sensors went dead within a month and they aren’t regular batteries. I liked the concept that was sold but not the product and service. I had a technician scheduled for yesterday and no one called or showed up.

The security portion with doors, locks, and glass breakage seems to work well. The camera are not the quality that was presented to us. You cant zoom in on recorded footage making it very difficult to identify people who have been recorded. Nest cameras are far superior in range and the ability to zoom in on images that have been recorded. The Vivint cameras also pixelate and are choppy live. The sound quality is also lacking in clearaty and volumn. Support is also on the poor side. You have to call Utah and wait time is long. Techs that came out are not always knowledgable about their system. Also the system can only support 4 cameras with only 3 recording. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate the total system a 5.

I was told I would receive all equipment for "free" only later to find out that I am actually paying for the equipment though an interest free loan. The total of what I am paying is what I agreed to however I was specifically told equipment was free and it very much was NOT.

Good overall. Like the app for setting home security when leaving the house. Don't like the app or the thermostat for trying to set the mode of operation-- just won't work. Have worked with customer service on this-- thought it was fixed, but same problem showed up 2 days later. Like the doorbell camera altho. would like a higher definition camera here even though obviously more expensive. Doorbell deterrent is a good feature.

For me the affordability was the deciding factory, it is a solid value for money. My favorite thing is the camera that comes with the doorbell. It is high quality and a live feed. Heard about them through a subdivision on Facebook and so I called them and the person I spoke with was super helpful. They are clear on things. The system is good quality compared to others I have seen. I like the updates I get on my phone at work and the ability to turn it off.
