I think the service is great. The new equipment, for the most part, has had no problems. Unfortunately the representative that came to the door to sell the service made promises that were not granted. I did contact the company but nothing ever came from it.

I absolutely love having a code to get in and out of the house. I love being able to lock or unlock my front door from my phone. I honestly can’t say I have found anything I dislike about having Vivint.

We already had to replace a camera. The install wasn't great. Wire from the driveway camera was draped over and behind our storage shelves in the garage. When the camera was replaced the guy changed what it was plugged in to, to the garage door opener outlet on the ceiling. Now we have a hard time getting our garage door to open with our remotes. The main panel was plugged into a gfci outlet that it trips now when we run our dryer. We thought that we could get around the garage door openers by getting the one you have, but its higher than we could go buy ourselves.

The app is not always accessible, the cameras are always stating person detected when no one is there one camera location is useless the automatic door lock is set to automatically lock after set amount of time it doesn’t always work. The garage broken glass detector is constantly saying it’s not working for no reason. I set alarm and when I check it it’s disarmed

The remote disarm has not been totally satisfactory. I go for a walk after arming system, and when I return and disarm the system, the alarm goes off when I enter the house. I then have to enter the code. This has occurred two or three times.

The sales rep the presented the product did a horrible job which reflects on the company as a whole. Took 3 months to get the correct services as they were offered. The last service person that came out after 3 service was polite looked at the problems and haven't had a problem since.

Not good. I have issues with the delay on seeing who's at my door. I doesn't matter if I'm away or at home. I get the same results. However when I'm away it does take longer for camera to load when away. Sometimes by the time camera is loaded the person is walking away. Also called to cancel service .(equipment paid in full @ time of installation) 6 months later no record of this call.

I have had a great experience with the on line chat. Very easy to use and all my issues were answered and dealt with in a timely fashion. The one issue I do have is with the lag time for the video response to the doorbell. When we try and respond to a delivery drop of to possibly have the courier leave the package inside the door, they are gone.

We've had a few problems with our lock not being properly aligned and with the battery in our door lock running low. The one time we called tech support, it was a horrible experience--abysmally slow and the tech basically talked in circles.

Love the alerts we get when people are on our property and seeing packages delivered! We feel safe at home. We absolutely hate that it takes some wiggling to lock the door because the lock jams and the Vivint tech that installed the gear did it wrong. That is very concerning to us and the only reason we do not recommend Vivint to others.

I do like my alarm system and feel like it is fairly priced. The issue I have is that I had referred a friend of mine and he got a new system. I was supposed to get a $200 bill credit or I asked for a camera in the back instead. I never got either one. I also referred my boss and it did not turn out very well. I will not do anymore referrals wheter I like the alarm or not because of these issues.

Have 2 issues already: 1). Smart Thermostat does not turn on our backup electric heat on our heat pump when its 10 degrees or below. Customer Service recommended having Heating Tech troubleshoot heater. Found out that our heater works just fine when manually connect heat, but thermostat does not communicate for backup heat. Customer Service then downloaded a new Software update and said that should fix the problem. Update didn't fix the issue, and now we're worried whenever temps are going to be in teens or lower. Would like to disconnect Vivint thermostat and install new one. 2) Another issue we're dealing with is with our control panel. We can no longer view video footage from control panel, we have to use the app on our phones to view footage.

I really like the customer service at the beginning, now that I am no longer a "new" customer, I feel like the customer service has decreased drastically. I got new doors in my house and trying to get someone out here to put the sensors back in has been a mess even though I was promised that if there was any issues that a technician would be out in no less than 24 hours.

Vivint the company as far as pricing and customer service is perfect. The equipment on the other hand could us some work. My Doorbell camera comes on by itself saying something/someone is detected when nothing is there. The front camera and back camera have not detected when an actual real person was present in our yard and got into a vehicle parked in the driveway. Mind you the camera is pointed right at this vehicle and it didn't catch anything.

ok...not great. Always have issues with connection and the cameras and doorbell have connectivity problems whenever i connect. If someone is at the door and rings the door bell it takes so takes too long to connect and by the time the app connects to the doorbell the person is gone. I have business class internet (210mbs down and 15mps up) so I know that the issue is not with my internet connection.

Vivint is like no other when it comes to security. But the price of equipment is a little pricey. After investing a lot in equipment within a year everything gets out date. Work on good quality products not quantity of how much money you can make. The rest of the world is doing the same but to be a great company are you going to be like the rest of the world losing business during covid times. I have left the company for this very reason once. It's very frustrating. Value your loyal and faithful customers. Rather then new customers only. Because we can all cancel at a moments notice.

Fair. The technician who installed the system left a big hole in my wall without mentioning it or getting my permission. Also, there was a thunderstorm which knocked my garage connection and customer service was not helpful in resolving it so it's been unplugged for several months just to stop the beeping and flashing light, Disappointed in my salesman who did not return ANY of my calls. Would not refer Vivint to anyone at this point.

A lot of improvement could be made to the interface not only on the wall mounted screen but the app too. Set durations for recordings so users can manually adjust, more options on being able to customize notification alerts. Say you only want alerts from certain doors or cameras but not all. Also connectivity on cell data could be improved drastically as well plenty of times I have low connection and when I arm the house my app says its good to go but when I get home it was never armed.

Great! We had a situation where the interior motion detector wasn't working and they hadn't installed door alarms etc. They sent someone out and he reprogramed and installed the door alarms within minutes at no cost.

I think vivint is a greta company. The start up is kinda of expensive since you have to use a second party for your equipment but other than that great company. Also linking new things to your vivint system such as camera or door locks is impossible. I think I have to call and pay to do it like I did my garage door opener. Which if I already own the equipment why should I pay for linking my equipment if you a compatible.

Good. The technician came out placed Blue cloths over his shoes whenever inside and got all my cameras and security system installed and was on his way. Amazing customer service, my sign broke due to high winds I placed a call for a replacement I was told it would ship out on the same day.

They only value new customers. Loyalty is not appreciated. I've had two homes with Vivint and referred multiple friends including the owners of our previous home. However, when my panel was outdated snd I wanted to add a product I had to pay full price for both items, when nee customers received a discount. Take care of your recurring customers first!

The system has been fine. However, I am not happy with the cost on the contract versus what the ales rep told us the total cost would be. The sales rep stated the entire system would cost around $800 total, wo-thousand dollars. There is no way on Earth that the equipment we have costs that much! 1 security camera at the garage, one doorbell and the panel, over $2000! That is crazy

I have been enjoying my smart System. A couple of issues I have been having One of them is I'm starting to get "Can't playback Video" When I try to watch a video Clips for the day. Another Problem When I open my Garage then close it I'll get a Message saying " Failed to close Garage" But I just watch the Garage Close. An my Module for my Garage keeps disengaging an It I get a Massage of something like " My Garage lost signal" or something like that an I'll have to Open then close my Garage Manually to get it back active.

It's been a little disappointing honestly. The salesman that came to the house became unresponsive after awhile. It took quite awhile for my stickers and yard sign to arrive, but I did get them. The installer said he was going to throw in a light for the sign for the inconvenience but I have never received it. I called in to inquire about everything, and told the representative on the phone about the items but the light has not arrived. Maybe this letter will get it shipped to me finally. The system overall I am pretty happy with except the price and the garage door system. The garage door open/close feature fails quite often.

Vivint, at the first was questionable. We had some issues with the initial installation and was was to be included. After that rocky start, Vivint has been great to work with. We had an issue and they quickly responded to make the necessary corrections. I'm glad we have Vivint as our home security.

So far so good. Quality of my 3 outdoor cameras are very good.Have to say the indoor camera is terrible I would not recommend wasting your money on the indoor camera. I have a $29.00 in door camera from Amazon and the picture quality is 100% better than the quality on a & $249.00 indoor camera.You guys might want to go back to the drawing board on this camera. Wish I could get my money back on the Vivint Canmera it flat out sucks.

nest died and i was left in the middle of the summer without a thermostat. apparently the nest is defective or something. the cameras constantly go offline. instead of doing proper wallfishes the installer drilled holes in the ceilings and dropped cabling down the wall to a power socket. installers should be certified electricians able to handle situations that make installations look shoddy and second rate. my wifi works across the street with full signal yet cameras literally 20 ft from my router frequently go offline. im not very happy at all to say the least. when they work, the service is great but theres usually at least one camera down at all times.

It has been a very disappointing experience from initial contact with their salesman who lied and said wow showing me letters that he said would be mailed by him cancelling my current security contract and that vivent would pay balance. Both were a lie. Which I only found out well after cancellation time frame had passed. From installation to present they have been a big disappointment. customer service it's almost non-existent. I was on the phone for more than several different occasions trying to get through 2 customer service only to be lied to on more than three occasion about follow up on correcting a problem of their making. if I could have my money back and cancel this contract now, I surely would the only thing I would recommend is stay away from this sheisty business and don't let me get started on the equipment my wife can't speak through the camera when using her phone which was supposedly one of the reasons 4 wanting to get this system. the camera records all the time and the functions on the app that's supposedly allow you to delete excess frames stopped working several weeks ago and it's more problem to try to contact someone on the phone then it is to Everyday go through and delete one photo at a time up to a hundred photos everyday. windy days really cause the camera to record every little thing that blows by and if you back off on sensitivity then it doesn't record when you need it I recommend you go with another company that's what I recommend about this company. Stay clear

Equipment seems to be working well. The panel and the cameras and the door locks are in good working order. It is a bit expensive but it is peace of mind having them run the system. Customer support is great most of the time. On a few occasions I’ve had some difficulty making appointments.
