Install of a wire sticking out of my wall and running along my baseboards. It's tackey and unprofessional. They couldn't come up with any solution but a bare wire and a hole in my wall that isn't covered although it is in a very public place. Their customer service is horrible You can only chat and it's useless. They gave me a $15 credit for ruining my hallway. Choose anyone else.

I had issues from the start. The sales rep said our ADT equipment would work . After numerous calls they finally got all of the sensors to work on all windows. Now I am wait for the buyout amount to be sent. They sent an email that said it was approved and would be processed on the 14th of August and still no Visa card as promised. Called again and requested a priority mailing and again told it will be another 7 business days. No a happy customer.

Vivint billed me for months after service was canceled and not only refused to make it right, they extorted us into paying extra fees to avoid collections even though their service, such as it was, had stopped. They intentionally overcharge customers and keep billing after services cease - this is their business model (we are one of MANY with this complaint). They are THIEVES and SCAMMERS. If ZERO stars was an option, that would be my choice. TERRIBLE COMPANY

Absolutely WORST company ever! No monitoring, often times could not access app on phone, and the door monitor began to malfunction. Put in a service request, didn't hear anything but "we're so sorry blah blah", then covid hit, now it was they couldn't send anyone out. Still waiting btw. In the meanwhile, we have unplugged the cameras, and not using their "equipment" for OVER A YEAR NOW, yet somehow they still feel right to charge me. Yea, I'll probably end up paying, in legal fees to sue you. And do not bother to replay "oh send us your contact information", you don't do anything anyway.

Horrible customer service. Impossible to cancel. Whatever you do, do not go with Vivint. I chose this company because of the reviews on this website and wish I would have stuck with ADT. We have had 3 scheduling issues on their end with 2 no call no shows. It takes weeks to get anything scheduled. The technicians set up equipment improperly and then make it impossible to get them out to fix it. We are extremely disappointed with the service and would not ever recommend to any family, friends, or strangers on the internet.

Extremely disappointed the last few years with vivint. The camera in the back of my house will not record people coming and going from my yard but it records every single vehicle in the alley. It records every time the wind blows YET it's so pathetic that I can literally stand in front of the camera and do jumping jacks and it will not record me! We have had multiple occasions of someone stealing from our yard recently, wood and bottles, and the camera never catches them but if a rabbit hops past it will record that!

Terrible customer service and equipment, the technician will not show up for appointments when you complain and get a new appointment to ask they not send the original technician, and they do any. Found out when getting a new system, half the sensors had not been working, including the fire break, which was to alert the company of the fire. The cameras did not work; they only recorded after someone left the room. Then when canceling the charge for an entire month after you put your request in. Outright criminal

Did not inform the need for a permit through city for dispatch services. First we heard of a permit was when our alarm was triggered while out of town and were told they could not dispatch authorities. Customer service was horrible… being tossed back and forth between agents with no resolution. Biggest waste of time and money after 6 yrs. Please go elsewhere and beware of vivint’s carelessness and deceit.

If I could give no stars I would. Been waiting 6 months, 5 appointment cancelled without notification to fix equipment. I called to confirm appointment and it had been cancelled for tomorrow. Next appt available is Feb 21. Like I really wish I could place a bet they won't show. Win big bucks for my wasted vacation time waiting for anyone fix cameras that r not working.

When you sign up that don’t tell you about their contract. Not only that if you move you have to start your contract all over again. Basically you are paying for the equipment. When your contract is up it takes 30 days thereafter before your cancellation. Then they want to blow your phone up buggy you for a cheaper plan. Please don’t do it because of the contract that they don’t tell you about. The camera works when it want to. It doesn’t pick up everything that goes in your home. Not worth it in my opinion.

The installation and wiring was as unprofessional as I have ever seen. They taped or stapled wires across the interior ceiling, outside was equally as worthless - so bad a windy day frayed and ultimately severed the wire to one camera and they insisted on a service charge to fix their very sloppy installation. They are consistent in their sloppiness and unprofessionalism up to customer service (which is clearly not in the US - their training needs to start with speaking coherent English). If you are considering them, all I can say is Run Forest, Run!

Just got off the phone with a guy named Bryce, in Customer Service. He was purposely unclear about the prices, and I was going based off the prices I saw online from other recent-dated blogs . He was suggesting an extremely expensive financing option, without telling me about the upfront cost. Not only was I not interested in financing, he kept flip-flopping the prices as the call went on. I've ready plenty of great reviews about Vivint, but Bryce single-handedly ruined my opinion of Vivint. He's a liability to the company.

Horrible costumer service, overpriced and dated equipment, and dose not work well for active service members. It’s like pulling teeth ever time we PCS. And every time you call with an equipment issue ( which is often) all they try and do is get you to upgrade your equipment to other crappy equipment and extend you contract. I do not recommend unless you like having a three or five year headache. Also they started using third-party financing for their equipment upgrades which means you have to open up a whole new line of credit with a another bank just to upgrade and finance the equipment.

no dont do it your in a contract for 5 years and the devices are the most expensive. dont do it dont do it. Once you get in the contract your there for 5 years that adds up to 3000 dollars you get charged interest. They say you have 30 days to get out but realy you only are given 3 days. They usualy dont over the contarct very well. DONT DO IT ! AND IF YOU DO IT THINK ABOUT THE TOTAL COST OVER 5YEARS>

Not good. I have garage camera, garage door controller, home thermostat, fire alarm and home security. First garage door opener from app or home control will work half the time. Home thermostat temperature is not correct 80% of time. We went on early summer vacation and forgot to change thermostat to A/C so we tried changing it through app but couldn't. Called Vivint and they couldn't do anything because we weren't home. So don't count on controlling your home when on vacation.

Was told by sales agent I had two weeks to cancel. Called him the next day after installation and explained that I wanted to cancel. While he tried to talk me out of it he never explain that I had to fill a form and submit it to the company so as to cancel. Upon calling the company to find when they would be removing the equipment they said they never got a signed notice I am responsible for the entire bill and the 60 months contract. RIPPED OFF!

The worst service I have ever had... Don't bother trying to call.. it's a waste of time. Been waiting for a call back from a Rep since May.. I call everyday with no response whatsoever I'm still paying very high electric bills plus there charge.. they upgraded my panels 6 months ago and still not running... If I knew then what I know now I would have never used Vivint Solar...

I purchased a home with their solar panels installed and had to remodel. I paid them $5k to remove the panels and store them while the roof was getting repaired. They Lost the panels while storing them and customer support was unresponsive for 6 months. They broke the terms of the lease and I had to get lawyers involved to get out of it. Another 4 months later and I can not get this company to respond to me. They must have paid for the other reviews because this is not a 5 star company.

We purchased a home with a Vivint security system installed. Vivent promised to transfer the system to us, but after many phone calls, weeks of waiting for a callback, and employees who seemed completely clueless about how to help us, we gave up. The equipment may well be good, but I have no confidence in a company that says they are on the ball regarding home protection but completely drops the ball when it comes to following through on their promises. I've never written a review before but feel a need to warn people.

The installation that they charged me for is not even set up properly. someone rings my doorbell and I get notification 10 minutes later and they can't even set up the time properly. if they ring your doorbell RUN RUN AWAY

I have not been with the company over a year, however I have never had more than a month that the complete system was fully operational. The lock never works , it worked for maybe a month after i joined. I am just tired of calling and getting placing a ticket then waiting in the house all day for service. It sucks!!! I have tried for several weeks to get a technician out to the house to fix the problem with the unit and all customer service wants to do is tech it over the phone, which hasn't worked!! It makes me wonder why I pay a company that has no regard for my personnel safety or the security of my house!!! If you have a chance, don't use them! All they want is your money, they don't care about you or they would have sent a technician on any of the same problems I keep calling on!

My 2 bedroom glass breaks went bad after 2 months of having them. My door bell camera goes blurry from time to time. When they called me to offer there service everything i asked for the either agreed or approved, but when it comes down to actually installing the system they try and charge you for everything.

Our system was installed by a local guy who was pitching another companies equipment the whole time. We have not yet received stickers or signs (a year later) as the installer said he was out and they didnt work anyway.

Lied by rep, according to him there would not be any hidden fees or permits needed for the service and I was fined because of it. Whenever I asked something he would move the conversation to my special needs kid. Then didn’t tell me about the terms of the contract or how long I’d be paying for equipment that works half of the time. I was taken advantage of, hopefully no one else does.

Terrible, I just noticed that when I moved in Aug 2020 that they started a new service and didn’t transfer the service. Now I have been paying for a house alarm in a house that someone else lives in. Thanks to your stellar sales team who said that it would be cancelled at no cost. I can’t wait for my year to end so I can cancel my current contract. It is sad because I like the system.
