The night vision does not sense movement at night, failing to sound the denture noise, it is not a failed camera it is a manufacturer malfunction, we have had them replaced, but the problem still proceeds, and because of this I have watched my truck be broken into multiple times, I noticed that bright colored clothing at night is not detected, and it also does not detect a fast walking person, very distressing that the cameras don’t do there job at night time when the majority of the crimes are committed during this time, when I spoke with customer service they told me the service techs do not come out at night time to properly diagnose the system failed, so I am paying full price for a half operational security system... very disappointed...

I have had a good experience with Vivint. I wish my heater wouldn't kick on in the middle of the night. Smart assist says that it recognizes your patterns, but it still warms my house up too much when it's late at night (2am). I'd go to sleep in sleep mode and wake up to my house being VERY warm this winter and spring. Every night I'd wake up and cool the house off again. Also, I could never figure out how to dismiss notifications when I had someone working in the backyard. For example, mowing the lawn. Just constant notifications when I'm at work. Everything else has been excellent. My mother and next door neighbor has had a terrible time with vivnt. Especially in the first 3-4 months. It took almost a week and 3 different people to get her equipment installed correctly. And it still says she has windows open that are not open.

Great service, quick response when something goes wrong, hardware wise. The negative, system installation can ruin doorframes and/or doors with drilling into them to install sensors. Some times the app does not respond or lags up when it should not. Communication between Nest and control panel does not work properly. The cameras only rely on 120V electricity, if power fails or there is a power outage, there is no backup battery option for cameras. They only use 120V power and nothing from a chargeable source. With this, it limits the ability the camera can be used, because it requires a power source that is nearby.

Vivant has responded to all of my requests in a timely manner. All of their sales people, telephone supply and service technicians are very professional snd I have high regard for all of them. The biggest issue with the company that I have had is they try to trouble shoot over the phone too often and too much. I'm not sure it's due to Covid19 and pandemic but I have called needing service and I have to beg and plead to have a service person sent to my home. They try to get the customer to fix things that truly require a professional who understands security installation. Once I had to take a picture of a door jamb and the company thought they were helping by sending me the part- which was the wrong part anyway and had to send a service technician anyway. It's a waste of time!! On the positive side, I love the phone app and ability to open snd close my garage snd front door remotely! I think the service technicians are friendly, trained well, neat and tidy and very helpful!!!

I would like for Vivint to do an independent review of its initial customer service call in lines. As a consumer I find it most prevalent that in calling into large company one speak or shall I say it an automated phone answering service. This service often when a caller is seeking to speak with a Person younare given another phone number or link sent to you to go to. Then there you dealing again with AI. You spend so much time being routed to everywhere but what you requested through the initial call. I believe if calls are recieved by a Person the caller would spend less time on a call to resolve the caller's problem. Thank you. I would like tonhear by about this issue that is near to my heart as I consider myself a true customer service oriented observer in all aspects of dealing with call backs to all companies.

The convenience of the system is good. The system has worked well. I was impressed with the capabilities of the system. On the up front of the installation the that I did was allow myself to be pressured into a contract without fully understanding it's content and the length of it. I played a spent alot of money up front for the installed equipment to keep the monthly payment down. I did this before fully understanding the contract and how long it lock me into it. The system works good but perfect. The picture clarity is not what they made out to be. I guess because digital zoom is not the best quality, but they are good as long as you don't need to zoom in for clarity. I like the overall performance of the system. Just disappointed in the camera quality. So far I haven't needed customer service.

I've had positive interactions with the customer service the few times that I've had to interact with them. The equipment covers all the bases as afar as what I need for my home. The pricingn is totally expensive. Originally I had a contract for about 42 months and I understood that the pricing would cover the leasing of the equipment but I expected that after the contract was done, my pricing would fall because the equipment has been paid off and I would mostly be paying for the service now. But the price has not dropped so I actually need to get in touch with them to see if I can reduce my monthly payment.

The equipment is good but door sensors where they put it on my back door, one fell off. It just isn't good quality. I would hope that they get their sales people to be more truthful because he told me all these things that weren't quite true. When the installer came a lot of things I thought I was getting once available to me, I couldn't get. Window loks were going to be fifty dollars a piece and she didn't explain any of that. You said to get the system and all this and I could have window locks and I should have been conscious of it because he didn't ask me how many windows I had but I thought maybe if they secure you it's the same but I had to get glass brakers in order to feel safe.

It's not fast when connecting to my cell phone. The app is user friendly. I had an issue and they responded pretty quick but it took them three tries to fix it. They kept saying it was a bad sensor when it was actually the panel and I had to tell them either replace the panel or take the thing out. It has worked perfect since. I do like their higher end cameras better than their lower end cameras, I have two of each. The higher end camera has a wider view and higher resolution. I think they need to stress to their customers the amount of speed they need on their internet. I'm in a rural area so internet is difficult.

I was supposed to pay a certain amount, like twenty some dollars and everything was good, then I checked my billing after two months and they were charging me around fifty six dollars and I called and asked them to rectify the situation and they realized the mistake but nothing happened. I had to call again and it's kind of rectified but I'm still waiting for them to pay back whatever they overcharged. The best thing about Vivint is that I can monitor my home from whatever while I'm away. I can see who dropped off packages or anything like that, I can talk to them. I can let anybody in or not let anybody in, disarm my house, or whatever I like.

I have had good experiences with Vivint. They always answer d my questions and solved any problems I had. There was one exception to this . I had a sky Monkey which they recommend I use to store my photos. After spending hundr dis of hours scanning and storing old family photos the powers that be with Vivint decide to stop offering that storage system. They did not inform me that it would be necessary to download my photos to another storage device. All of a sudden I could no longer access my photos. After many phone calls they gave me a online address where I was supposed to be able to access my photos. I did access some but many were missing. After two or three more attempts it did improve some but I never was able to access my photos. What could they have done better. Just send me a simple email telling me I should download my photos so I could save them. They never did that. Very frustrating.

I have a humungous contract with them. They told us it would be thirty dollars a month for the monitoring fee but they bill us fifty a month. If there is an alarm, they do call us right away. They don't just send the police because they want to know whether someone is there. When I get someone on the phone, they are great. When someone comes to the house, they are good and know what they are doing.

I really like that they have security feature freebies. My previous security system did not have that. I feel that my home is secure when I am away. I like a lot of the features. I love that I can adjust the thermostat when I am away on vacation. I feel like they do a good job reaching out when there is a real alarm. I did have an issue last year in the pandemic getting people on the phone for customer service. They did make it really easy to go online and chat with someone who was able to troubleshoot my problem.

Vivint is more proactive and communicative about their services than the other company I worked with. Their representatives are easy to get a hold of when there is an issue with the system. They generally can solve problems over the phone. Most of the time it works very well, though there is the occasional issue with certain devise, but it is always able to be resolved. My biggest issue is the installation, they don’t use the right screws to hold the equipment to the wall.

If you have any questions they are more than happy to help you out and everybody's always been knowledgeable. Any questions you have they're able to answer in a second and if there's any problems they're able to fix it right away. If there is a situation with the system or an alarm or anything like that they use every means possible to contact with you and are really good about taking care of you. I've never had any problems with anything, but I definitely see where it could be a little bit more discreet.

I really enjoyed it when I first got my system. I've been trying to reach my retailer, and he hasn't returned ANY of my calls since I had an issue with it. For some reason, my camera very seldom makes the noise it was making at first where the red light on the camera will come on. Sometimes it does and sometimes it does not. I am not so happy right now. It started it about 2 months ago.I don't know what to do..

I really like the systen EXCEPT the technicians are not super knowlegdeable. For example the one hooking up my system when i moved didnt know how far away one of the cameras could be from my house or router. Wanted it on my detached garage but decided against it because tech was “unsure”. I really question the price point also Sometimes i wish i had not signed the contract (because of the price) but nothing i can do now. The cameras are a tad “laggy” when viewing away from home but other than that i like everything else vivint has to offer

I was very pleased until i found out I have to pay a service fee and $50 for any new sensors. I have installed all new windows and cannot figure if the sensors I have will fit or how to install them again. I cld Customer Service and he said I wld have a service fee and each new sensor wld be $50. I paid a lot for this alarm system and I think it is rediculous to have to pay so much for these additional sensors. If the old ones do not work, then I will have an additional $200. I'm just not happy about this.

I had an issue with front door and garage door sensors recognizing the doors were closed. Vivint had me get two (one for each door) new sensors for the doors. It took three weeks to receive them and from the day I ordered them I had not a problem with either door since the day I ordered them. Right now, I have two sensors that I spent money for that I don't need. What do I do to return them and get a refund? The system is working great right now.

I am pleased with Vivint for the most part. When we've had alarm go off (all of which has been by accident), I have been contacted immediately and everyone has been extremely understanding and responsive. My only complaint was that our saleman promised us a life alert system at no extra charge and we never received it. I talked with a customer service rep (Ana M) on July 31,2020 at 5:49pm about this and was assured we would receive one and we never did. We have had 2 occasions that having one would have been optimal (my husband had 2 strokes).

The best thing about using Vivint is probably the convenience of being able to see things on our mobile devices when everything is working properly. There seems to be a loss of connection between the panel and wifi system and I've had to reset the camera at times, and currently our doorbell camera doesn't work. I've received instructions on how to correct it, just haven't had the time in the past few weeks but yeah, that's kind of where some of the challenges are at the moment.

You get a lot of bang for your buck. Everything seems to work like it should and when you need to get a replacement, they have a lifetime guarantee so you don't pay for it. A suggestion I have is that they should give their long-time customers free yard signs when the other ones are bad or get stolen or beat up rather than having them pay for another one.

I enjoy having that security to know that if something goes wrong, the appropriate responders will be called. When the battery went out, it wasn't batteries that we have, and so therefore they had to send it to us. We had no help in trying to rectify it or fix it over the phone while they talked to us. There was no support and it was just a very frustrating time.

I like having Vivint because the reliability of the video camera, the technology is always up to date. They have the most up-to-date monitoring as well, not just the home security but for carbon monoxide. The issue I have is in terms of how they have stuff divided. They have one place that has a charge for monitoring and you have another place that receives payment for the equipment.

Overall, the home security, thermostat adjustments (via app), and live cameras have been good and we have gotten our money's worth for that. The partnership they have with the myQ app for opening and closing the garage door is a lot to be desired. It is supposed to be synced with the Vivint app, but it is constantly having issues that feature has not lived up to its name. At the time of this survey, the issue remains ongoing.

I loved this company and still really like them but customer services experience left me a bit unhappy which is why only four stars. The equipment has always worked and the service as always been reliable. I feel the price is fair but I can't say that I have really compared it with any other companies to truly know and I don't use a lot of items offered to know the price ranges for those.

Alarm works fine. The app is terrible and takes forever to load regardless of wifi. I've had really good customer service and service that has been fair. The doorbell camera very often doesn't pick up people who come to the door. I feel that for the price I pay the app and doorbell should work better, and I feel sort of stuck because I'm paying for their equipment.

Have a lot of times that it does not record or it alerts that someone is ay door and no one there. I would like to figure out how to set it for viewing and checking area when not activated in away mode. Needed it one night when I was home and someone broke into my property. Why would we not be able to view at different times when we are home and alarm not on. Should not have to have alarm on at all times when home.

It has worked as expected so far. We've only had one issue where our alarm went off while we were not at home. An agent called my fiance and told him that Vivint had already sent someone out, but later, we were told that you hadn't and if we wanted to send someone out that we would have to pay. When I got home, I could not see that anyone had broken into our house, but it did raise concern about what would actually happen if we needed services and how reliable Vivint would be in that situation.

Their customer service is great and I've always had good luck and success with them. They all seem very friendly and very nice. I like the 24 hour support. I do wish that somebody would come and replace my basement key sensor and backdoor sensor because they aren't working and every time I open the door, it falls off. I think that with the amount of money that I pay it would be nice if somebody would come every year or two and check my to see if my cameras are working properly and if they need an upgrade. That would be very helpful.

The security system has definitely put my family at ease. I like the access the app gives me with being here at home or away from home and the convenience of cameras that in the yard whatever it maybe, indoor and outdoor cameras as well with the app. On the one or two occasions I did call, the customer service reps showed courtesy and knowledge of my question and then a definite quick resolution. I think it's very good value.

So far the experience has been very satisfying all things considered. There have been glitches with a few of the cameras where they randomly shut off. And the outdoor cameras will sometimes mistake snow or other things as “a person lingering”. Not terrible, but this will trigger my alert notifications for a straight 2 hours or more sometimes.

I love the views we get from the cameras. Some of the new camera alerts just say “custom alert” on events instead of what it actually is supposed to be alerting. The only other issue was the motion detector was set too sensitive and would go off when our dogs were moving in the house if set. We changed that setting and will be testing it again soon but we are home a lot now and haven’t had to set it for long periods of time. Otherwise it works very well and we have been happy with the service.

the people that came to sell and install were very nice. they were fast to install everything, cleaned up after they were done and made sure everything was working right. when my alarm goes off they call immediately and if i don't answer they call my support... they honor their promise for awards and discounts. it just costs a lot for the system, but they payments are not high, depending on what i wanted in equipment. I love that i can talk to someone on the cameras.

The cameras are great. High quality images and easy to access images. Overall the security system works wonderfully. I have had issues with the thermostats, originally I had a NEST that would not sync up to the system and then switched to the Vivant version and still have issues with then "smart assistant" feature. Ultimately I had to put it back on a manual schedule. When. the system was installed in my new home their tech was amazing. He was very professional and did a wonderful job integrating the equipment as seamlessly as possible into the house and exterior.

Overall, my experience has been good. The system performs as it should and we're happy with the service. There are some glitches in the system with the cameras. We have made many, many adjustments to our doorbell camera but it constantly goes off just for traffice going up the street or people talking outside or even birds on the shrubs next to our house. That's annoying. We also can't delete notifications on the phone app when the list gets big.

I like the service overall but there are a few glitches that come with the cameras. There is a lag when trying to see video once a notification comes up that someone is at your home. Most times when it finally loads the person has left. Or when clicking a previous recording it fails to load. I do like the system but when it gets glitchy it makes me have slight secondary thoughts.

I like the panel and the thermostat, and the camera, however, the doorbell with camera are lacking. First it would be nice if the doorbell would hook up to the original doorbell for sound since the panel is not very loud. Also, it constantly loses connection with panel, which isn't very good for a doorbell since you do not know if someone is at the door.i also was double charged and even triple charged some months on my bill since July. Hopefully that was resolved.

I really enjoy using Vivint. I like how everything is streamlined through the app. Nothing is perfect but overall for the most part things are smooth. The only issue is have is with my doorbell camera and Vivint doesn't know how to fix it. The company just needs to make sure their app runs smooth and fix bugs and major issues with their products especially their doorbell camera. I'm considering swapping mine out for another brand because of the plethora amount of issues I have with that product.

It's OK. Need to offer additional services like the keypad should be able to have a code, customers should have the option to request an aditional key pad. I cannot hear my door bell when upstairs and my mobile phone does ring to let me know someone is at the door. Only the keypaid downstairs indicates and I'm not able to see who's at the door until a quick flash on the phone if I'm near it.

I love my state-of-the-art and the customer service has been good overall. however my sales representative didn't have any literature on the service when she did her sales call and she promised me the first three months free. Which were not that was a disappointment. But I have not had any trouble with my service. Hopefully this review will allow me to get those months I was promised.

Their equipment is reliable and seems to be doing its job. I'm comfortable using the system because it hasn't had any issues. The man who came to install my system was great. He was informative and took care of everything. When I had to call in about an issue, and I wasn't pleased with how they handled the issue with my system. If you have a brand new installed system that isn't operating properly, they make you solve the problem rather than taking care of it themselves.

Vivint has an integrated solution for your video capture of the cameras. The videos are put on a hard drive and there's a phone in the base module for emergencies. The equipment all works together and there isn't any trouble with different components of the system conflicting with each other. Their sales person wasn't very honest about the equipment being purchased as part of a loan, and I don't like doing loans. Whenever I call in, they make sure I go through security questions to verify I'm the right person.

It was a good move for me to switch to Vivint since I was unhappy with my previous provider. I really like the app experience where everything is in one place. I was able to integrate my nest with my current security system. I haven't had much interaction with customer service, but the initial set up was very smooth. The panels are nice and the doorbell works very well. The cameras are high quality.

So far a little mixed. While the sales team has been eexceptional. The service team has fallen a little flat. The hardware upgrade to my previous system was an improvement. And the integration with the majority of my smart applicances from multiple apps to almost one has made life easier for my familiy. In the end we lost a little functianlity, with no way to regain it.

I like the service but think it a little over price. The main thing I dislike about Vivint is the way the installer cut corner to get job done my install looks horrible so there’s no way when people come over I could ever sell them on a system. I have wire ran though my walls and looks horrible I wish they would have took there time and put thinks where I wanted and ran the right way through the attic.. and the way it’s ran is going to make my house hard to sell in the up coming year.. hope you can fix this

Good! Simple to understand with many security and device settings options! Not the best on customer service and device issues after installed. They did not give my friend the referral credit as promised. A few sensors occasionally stop talking to the base from time to time, and the camera footage is slow to load most recent events sometimes. But overall we are happy with the system.

At first, I did have a problem, I wasn’t sure how everything was going to be covered, but after I explained everything, they took care of it. The equipment is made my humans so there will be failures, which I had with one piece of equipment. I do like the cameras in the front and the rear and also the app on the phone so I can keep an eye on things.

The cost is a little bit higher than other security systems. Because of the location of their main office, it takes them awhile for the mail to come in and by the time I get the bill, Its time, it's almost time to send it out and it takes as long as I get it for them to get the bill, so I'm always charge the late fee. I haven't had any trouble with their alarm system or any thing. The best thing about them is when you call in or when the alarm is triggered, they call you right away on the phone or they will come in on your alarm system.

I'm just happy in overall with the service, I mean nothing outstanding, but anytime we've needed any service it was done right away so I'm happy with that. We've had a few issues with our garage door sensor and it was taken care of, but we've still had a few issues whre we've had a call about it. We've had one of our sensors fall off of the back door and also our patio door sensor has fallen off a few times.
