Going with them was not my choice, it came with our home. It's the only thing that they would install in our new home. They are extremely expensive and I can't get out of the contract with them for a long time. I've never really needed customer service, but the couple times I've called and spoke with someone they were okay. The only place you can put the thing in the bedroom gives off a white glowing light where you are unable to sleep unless you can cover that up.

Now I have 7 months left on my current provider's contract and 3 years of contract to go with Guardian Protection. Besides that, I haven't really used it yet, but the service itself is fine. Wonderful service! Great customer responsiveness, price is comparable. The app with service is great for monitoring all the bells & whistles that go with the alarm system. Once we learned the system, we have not had one false alarm. We really like the really loud alarm that would act as a deterrent if anyone did break into the home.

I apologize for the lengthy review, but feel I should be 100% accurate. I purchased a Guardian Home Protection system when I purchased my first house. I signed the 5 year contract, had the system installed, and everything was fine. 18 months later my wife was offered a job in another part of the state and we decided to move. I called Guardian when we were getting everything ready to move after selling/buying. Everything went as I expected. The individual explained I didn't have to remove any equipment out of the home, and just had to call when I got into the new home to have them come by and set up the new system. We moved into our new home and I called Guardian to make an appointment for the new home. After giving my new address I was informed I was out of their area, but they would still be able to accommodate me. All I had to do was tell them exactly what I needed some the technician can come to install it. I was told they could not send a technician out without that information, because they needed to know what to bring. This was back in February of 2018. Life got away from us with my wife starting her new job so we just never got around to cataloging what we needed so the technician could come and install it. I ended up getting a job overseas so, again life got away from us. Meanwhile I am continuing to pay the monthly fee since I did sign a contract and the reason the system is not in my home is because of my own lack of doing. Well let's go to present day. I am getting ready to come home and I realize "hey I need to get that system installed". So I call Guardian to set everything up. I am then informed that they do not cover where my new home is again, which I expect. But, now they tell me that they will not by any means install a new security system. I ask what my options are. And, they inform me I can either pay the termination fee or just continue to pay the monthly payment until my contract ends. This is ridiculous. They say the contract is for the house. That's it. If you move and they cannot provide you service to that house they are not liable. Since again, the contract for your PREVIOUS HOUSE. I was trying to continue service with the company and was basically told to pound sand. If you are thinking about this company I would take a long time thinking about it. I would say go with someone that is more likely to have coverage and not swindle you. I understand I signed a contract for 5 years. I was ok with it. I was alright with their service. I wasn't calling to terminate or cancel I was essentially going to get a system installed and have another five year contract. But ended up getting screwed because the contract is for the house. Review Update: Since the writing of my review Guardian contacted me, and i was able to resolve my issue with them to my satisfaction. Like I said above I had no issues with their actual product.
