I apologize for the lengthy review, but feel I should be 100% accurate. I purchased a Guardian Home Protection system when I purchased my first house. I signed the 5 year contract, had the system installed, and everything was fine. 18 months later my wife was offered a job in another part of the state and we decided to move. I called Guardian when we were getting everything ready to move after selling/buying. Everything went as I expected. The individual explained I didn't have to remove any equipment out of the home, and just had to call when I got into the new home to have them come by and set up the new system. We moved into our new home and I called Guardian to make an appointment for the new home. After giving my new address I was informed I was out of their area, but they would still be able to accommodate me. All I had to do was tell them exactly what I needed some the technician can come to install it. I was told they could not send a technician out without that information, because they needed to know what to bring. This was back in February of 2018. Life got away from us with my wife starting her new job so we just never got around to cataloging what we needed so the technician could come and install it. I ended up getting a job overseas so, again life got away from us. Meanwhile I am continuing to pay the monthly fee since I did sign a contract and the reason the system is not in my home is because of my own lack of doing. Well let's go to present day. I am getting ready to come home and I realize "hey I need to get that system installed". So I call Guardian to set everything up. I am then informed that they do not cover where my new home is again, which I expect. But, now they tell me that they will not by any means install a new security system. I ask what my options are. And, they inform me I can either pay the termination fee or just continue to pay the monthly payment until my contract ends. This is ridiculous. They say the contract is for the house. That's it. If you move and they cannot provide you service to that house they are not liable. Since again, the contract for your PREVIOUS HOUSE. I was trying to continue service with the company and was basically told to pound sand. If you are thinking about this company I would take a long time thinking about it. I would say go with someone that is more likely to have coverage and not swindle you. I understand I signed a contract for 5 years. I was ok with it. I was alright with their service. I wasn't calling to terminate or cancel I was essentially going to get a system installed and have another five year contract. But ended up getting screwed because the contract is for the house. Review Update: Since the writing of my review Guardian contacted me, and i was able to resolve my issue with them to my satisfaction. Like I said above I had no issues with their actual product.

So far I like the system. The notifications when the system is armed and disarmed. When a door is left open I immediately am alerted. It's nice to be able to set secondary security codes for guest with the ability to easily delete that secondary code whenever you don't want guest access. Yes, and even had 1 false alarm. I disarmed the system and was still given a security call from the company to make sure there was no break in.

For some reason the alarm panel reset itself at 1:30am, and started beeping a problem, called customer service but was told I had to call back after 6:00am EST because their tech desk was unmanned until then. I thought it was 24/7, what do they think, problems don’t happen during off hours?? Had to listen to it beep fir iver 3 hours, unacceptable!!!

Guardian may have what are considered to be "lengthy" contracts, but I would not hesitate to recommend them.

The service man was very efficient and knowledgeable. He explained to me what the problem was and proceeded to reprogram my system correctly. The whole service call was completed in a short period of time, and the service man showed my wife and I how to set the alarm and clear it , with no problems.

Guardian was a good company to work with. We had years of trouble free service. No equipment issues, no double talk, no lies. There was only one problem. Once the contract was over, they started bumping up the price every year. So we decided to go with ADT, which was on the other end of the spectrum. Total lies, undependable service. I wish we had first read the reviews.

He was very courteous,answered all of my many questions and took the time to figure out what the problem was. He is definitely an asset to your company. I feel your equipment should not be breaking down and if it does Guardian should replace with upgraded equipment that will last. After all your rates have gone up since I have been a customer.Hopefully, I will not have any other problems.

I left a review on another site stating this fact. Someone from the company contacted me. A technician came to my home and fixed the problem at no charge to me.

When I was woke up at 1 am with a consistent beeping, found it was the alarm panel - withing a couple of minutes Guardian called to inform me that the carbon monoxide sensor was failing -(no carbon monoxide) and would need replacing. Have had Guardian for years. If I ever had a problem with my system they came out right away. Very knowledgeable and helpful. If my alarm ever went off they called immediately and made sure everything was ok . My other company I had years ago sometime didn't even call, I feel safe when I go out and know my house and my doggie are safe.

Our experience with Guardian’s customer service has been great! The reps are professional and timely. They are also knowledgeable about how to fix issues. I would have given 5 stars except that we had to pay to replace some of the equipment. We had to replace the main battery and most recently the transformer plug. I am not sure how the equipment should last. But I feel like that should not be our expense to cover.

They always call immediately should I have an alarm & inform me of the exact area of the alarm. For the most part, the alarm was caused by household pets setting off the alarm which although annoying, shows the alarms work the way they are supposed to.

So far, we have been pleased with the service. The company is quick to respond and let us know if something seems amiss. My only complaint is that the Guardian app is mostly unreliable. It takes a long time to arm or disarm the system and often it does neither. I have to resort to the key fob to do the job remotely and that's using it within only a short distance.

We have used Guardian Protection for many years having switch from ADT. We recently moved to an new house and had Guardian install a security system. We are very happy with the sales representative, installation and service. We highly recommend Guardian Protection.

We moved into a new home. We have always had a security system but have never had one with Guardian. WOW! Guardian's service was excellent and with all of the IOT devices available, it's hard to not pick them. Definitely feel safer while away and even when at home with Guardian

I have a newer home pre-wired for alarm; this company was the suggested company by builder over ADT. I have had service now for over 10 years, with cameras, renewed contracts, alarms, service outages due to updates and some minor equipment replacements. Never once had an issue or compliant. Always kinds, responsible and quick to respond to alarms etc. I enjoy online viewing and freedom to set, change edit home from smart phone miles away from home. Good company, products and service.

A great security company is one that you don't have to think or worry about if they are working tonight just in case something might be happening in your neighborhood and up and down your street... A great security company is one that is always on the ball and constantly looking out for your safety, day and night, winter and summer, spring and Fall and that company is Guardian Protection... I couldn't go to sleep at night and sleep like a baby if I didn't have Guardian Protection... take it from me folks...Go Guardian Protection !!!
