Had UHC for a year and didn't really have troubles with them. My preference on doctors and hospitals were not covered under them so we decided to switch when open enrollment came again.

UHC has covered us for about 5 years. They are a good company, I just feel that the coverage is so limited in spite of how high our rates are. For people who are generally very healthy, who don’t make very many claims, we pay a lot of money every month!!

All insurance has skyrocketed in price the last few years. But if you have to pay, we want a great service. They do a great job with customer service. We have never had a problem finding a provider.

The health insurance is not bad. The doctors I use are associated with UHC too. Really the only issue I have was the prescription cost. I know that different places charge different amounts, but sometimes it seemed the price was high.

I’ve had UHC a few times over the years and I really had a positive experience. They provided quality services at quality facilities and most of my doctors were contracted.

I've had United health insurance for several years now and have generally been happy. Most providers take United and they have good programs that incentivize you to get annual check ups and to be healthy. More good than bad.

United has decent policies. What impressed me most was their mental health policies; all appointments with a counselor are 100% covered. Definitely check them out

United Healthcare's HSA website seems very limited and archaic to me. It's hard to find all the information I look for. They also do not approve medications I need to function at work, so I have to pay for those out of pocket. It seems the pre-authorization process will never be successful for certain medications for anyone.

United Healthcare insurance sucks. Poor customer service. My Dr ordered 2 medications and they were not covered on my plan. All they care about is money in their pockets.

The worst health insurance company ever. Cant get ahold of a customer service rep without wait 30 minutes. Poor information given out to clients about co-pays. m no knowledge on the part of reps. Delay approvals for needed procedures waiting for you to die so they dont have to pay. Would never ever sign up with this company again!

Without my knowledge, UHC put me under a different company. When I went to make an appt with a doctor, I was informed I wasn't "in network". The final straw was when I received a statement from the "new" company for $300.00. UHC could not explain to me how I was under the new company. BE WARE OF FISHY EXPLANATIONS....

The customer service representatives are horrible and not well trained plus communication is very bad as most if not all are from a foreign country so English is not their first language. Every issue takes close to 1 month to rectify I really regret getting this insurance and it's only been 2 months.

My mom has aarp united healthcare. She is in the hospital and her doctor had to battle with them to pay the hospital bill and allow her to stay in the hospital. I am so disappointed. When I get calls they seem so concerned about my mom.

I recently just started to have United Healthcare as my insurance provider because of my new job. I have diabetes and declined my Ominpod Dash Diabetes management system. I dont think this insurance really cares about the health being of us. Just another money grabber.

Be aware of this insurance. !!! They don't want to pay anything. Not even preventative care. They left me with more than $10 000. Didn't pay a penny. They go around to net pay even benefits like colonoscopy.we pay cash. This is a scam!!!!! They want your premium $550 /month for 1 person.

United Healthcare Medicare Advantage had very few dentists in our city. Our dentist just called to say they will no longer accept our plan. The only practice left specializes in kids but takes adults, only with wait of months for appointments. It must be a really lousy plan if nobody wants to accept it.

If people are saying this is a good company for your health needs they lying. They deny really important medical needs for clinical findings such as blood work. How can a doctor do their job without proof a person have a condition. It’s so many things I can say but boy I’m gonna change them as a emergency.

$700 for $6500 deductible and there are always surprise bills. It’s cheaper to pay cash than use insurance for prescriptions and counseling. Also, this company got more than a billion dollars from tax payers, you’d think they hire someone to answer the phone.

Just signed up with them through Healthcare.gov. It is HARD to get someone online, their info is confusing and they send you to different departments to get a straight answer. I asked for a manager 3 times and got placed on hold for over 5 minutes each time. I'M DONE WITH THEM!!!

Despite having a plan that includes dental coverage for routine care, when my dentist repeatedly submitted claims they were rejected---the stated reason usually was that I wasn't a member of UNH. Trying to obtain resolution of this problem proved impossible because of a impenetrable web of bureaucracy. Go elsewhere if you want your claims paid.

The rudest people I've ever dealt with. You are NOT doctors, you deserve to be investigated. I wonder how many people have died from denials because this company wants to play GOD, and tells the doctors what they can and can't do. I am taking this as far up as I can.

As long don't have an HSA or need any help, it's probably fine. Online access is terrible and you have to call for assistance. I'm currently waiting for my eligible medical expense to be taxed because I can't provide "acceptable" proof of eligibility, and I don't have hours to spend to get this resolved for something that is fault of my own.

I am so upset. I had Anthem bcbs for many years through my employer. July 1,2019, my insurance co. changed to United healthcare. I am having a vein procedure done soon, that Anthem was going to cover. United healthcare denied the claim, saying it is not serious enough. Now I have to pay 4,000 for s necessary procedure.
