I shared it in the survey. Doctors offices didn't want to take me as a patient because Oscar is so difficult to deal with . I was told that on more than one occasion. However, the OBGYN I ended up selecting I am happy with.

The plans are terrible. I would have to pay $4000 in premiums and $8000 out of pocket before they would ever pay a single penny. Completely useless unless you're planning on almost dying every month and have $12000 to burn first.

If you have a high-deductible plan, preventive services are covered in full, but any non-preventive services will be subject to the deductible. This means that you'll be responsible for the full negotiated rate of those services up until the amount of your deductible is met. Additionally, if there's ever an emergency, your plan covers emergency care at out of network emergency rooms as well as urgent care at out of network urgent care facilities. I highly recommend you NOT to get Oscar or you better be ready for surprise bills you shouldn’t need to pay for. They also sell the idea of having a platform where you can easily contact someone via chat but once you have a problem and need support they will simply disappear.

Depending on the type of lab work needed, your provider may have labeled the lab work as diagnostic and not preventative. Another common situation is when the lab work is sent to an out of network lab instead of one that is in network with Oscar. Don’t choose this provider for healthcare. None of the doctors on their website have ever heard if Oscar. And their customer service is a laugh. I am reporting them to the Arizona insurance fraud. $834.00 per month and can’t find a doctor.

Oscar started out with good offering, but now after the first year they are jacking up premiums by 15% and raising the deductibles by almost 40%. So much for their, we are here to help and care. Now it is how do we grab more money without providing any additional benefits.

Most Doctors, quality Nursing Homes, Medical Equipment Companies do not accept Oscar Insurance. Only the desperate and fly-by-night accept Oscar. This is why only a one star rating. Oscar employees are caring and perform their jobs well. They get five stars.

Not only do they barely cover anything even when you've got a Gold plan, there are so many drugs they won't cover as well. For what I'm paying, I could have just saved and negotiated prices without insurance to doctors. Thanks to the ACA I was required to get insurance or be penalized. I hate our healthcare in the USA.

My mother is currently in the hospital and will be discharged soon. Oscar is refusing to accept a payment from her so her insurance will be reinstated. Oscar is refusing to pay for home health care and physical therapy. BOTH of which she needs.

Not happy with Oscar. The doctors list is NOT updated and slim. In California. I had to call my old Doctor and ask ? Oscar then added him to their “find a Doctor list” They dont cover a full blood panel when getting a physical like most. They hardly cover any general issues! Everything is extra. Terrible customer service.

As for coverage of a blood panel when getting a physical, these services should be covered under the benefits of your plan as long as they’re sent to an in-network lab. It’s possible that your provider is referring to preventive services being covered-in-full in which we follow the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommendations for preventive services. Any preventive lab work done in conjunction with an annual physical will be covered in full with all Oscar plans. Any non-preventive lab work will be generally be covered, but subject to the cost-sharing of your plan (copay, co-insurance, or deductible). This is a horrible company...their customer service is the worse! I have been trying to get a refund for the last 3 months. I have been told 3 times my check is in the mail...well, I still have not received any money!! After 10 calls, still no refund! Horrible customer service!!!

I chose the wrong insurance policy. Horrible is the word. Read the small print when searching for plans. It gives you the persuading benefits of AFTER deductible is met. Everything is 100% to MY cost. Might as well not have insurance. Cant change my plan since it's not open enrollment.

Don't be fooled by all the fancy apps and simplistic design. Oscar is super expensive, has high deductibles you will never meet in the year and when you do need a doctor who is in network prepare to go to the worst doctors in the city. Also Liberty Dental what a joke.

Horrible company. Was lied to the entire time i was signing up. For the $1100.00 a month I pay for this insurance I should be able to find a doctor in my area I was told when I signed up that my doctors are in coverage. And I gave them a list of medications I take and was told that they where covered. They are not covered.

They seem to lose information often and take FOREVER to process claims (still waiting for mine almost 5 months later, while receiving collection demands from the provider). Dollar amounts owed change at random. Nothing is made clear on plan documents or when calling customer service. Terrible.

The absolute worst health insurance company imaginable. I'm a 60 year old man who has dealt with 10 health insurance companies during my lifetime. Their customer service is horrible, compliance is a joke and concern for the customer is non-existent. I'm dealing with the Attorney General of NY to resolve my issues.

BE AWARE PEOPLE. This insurance company is a big scammer in the market. if you visit their so called "In Network Doctor" they send testing (like blood, urine) to out of Network labs without telling you and decline the claim. I would say stay away with this insurance company.

HiOscar has the tendency to bill you monthly then suddenly demand 6X the price for no reason. I didn't even use my plan. They spelled my name wrong, and got my address wrong from day one and it's still NOT fixed. I cancelled them. DO NOT BOTHER SIGNING UP.

They hardly have providers and experienced tough time and also got delayed for my treatment because of lack of providers and all they have is only BAYLOR/SCOTT and WHiTE network who are expensive. I will be changing the insurance the first chance i get.
