Very dishonest company and try to get out of paying all claims. Horrible customer service trying to confuse all issues and rebilling claims so many times they try to get you to just give up. Change policy benefits in middle of coverage and cant ever talk to anyone that knows anything. Wouldn't recommend them to anybody!

They dropped my in the middle of life saving treatment with a Dr referral I HAD to use due to their terrible illegitimate coverage. This company is run by crooks and all around dishonest people. They have no problem taking your 500 a month until you actually need to UTILIZE your coverage then it's so long sucker. Ambetter = Trash.

I’d put zero star if I could. Worst insurance ever. Went to hospital in ambulance for possible heart attack. Was told to see my cardiologist ASAP. My cardiologist wanted to preform a stress test. Ambetter DENIED. I repeat denied a stress test to find out if my arteries had blockage. How sorry is that for a health Insurance Company!!!

After calling 25 different doctors, listes as "in network" through the Ambetter website. NONE of them actually take Ambetter insurance. This company is fraudulentl! There is a class action lawsuit filed in 2018 and is currently in progress. Drop Ambetter asap and get in on that lawsuit! They should have been taken down years ago.

Horrible. My husband has a heart condition and Ambetter routinely denies basic tests and procedures that could make a difference between life and death. They also frequently deny routine medication. Ambetter simply doesn’t care. Around our house we call it Am”worse”

I called to make sure they would cover the Cologuard test and was told yes, it would be covered. Guess what? Now I have a $649.00 bill. I've appealed twice and they have denied it twice. This test must be covered because it is part of the ACA. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS INSURANCE!!!

Charged me $800 dollars more than my premium was suppose to be and when I called they told me it could take 30 days to refund. Asked for a supervisor and was told none where available and I would get a call back. Still no call back. On top of that they changed the plan I choose to a terrible plan.

Bought this insurance because I thought one Dr. I liked was on it, surprised he’s not, so now I’m stuck with a Dr. farther away! So upset and I guess I should have read reviews. Just got my May bill on April 29th, glad I already paid it, due on May 1st.

I have been denied a scan for the bulge on my right side 3 times in the past 2 years. I was told there is no reason for a scan. Finally the plan allows me to have one but has my account payment information wrong and denies me. It’s been 3 years and I still have a bulge on my side.

A better has had incorrect billing information for me several times. Each time I address it, I am told it will be corrected. In the mean time I am denied benefits and appointments because of it. I have called several times since January. The care is limited. There is no Urgent Care. I am in fear and anxiety often.

Never trust Ambeter. I was ripped off by Ambetter. They went into my bank account and took all of my money. I am fighting with them daily and they will not return my money. I first thought it was an honest mistake and quickly found that this is serious. They actually stole my money. Nearly two thousand dollars.

Without any notification Ambetter has discontinued their Health Rewards program for gym memberships. This is equivalent to taking away a $240 per annum benefit from each of their customers without any communication. Unethical.

Absolutely worst health insurance company. Sent me health ID cards for myself and my daughter and when I went to get her immunizations half of the year through, they told me she was never covered. Now, they will not refund (for my daughter) my money, for paying for coverage. Just horrible business practices.

Ambetter denies and denies claims then says the claims are too old to pay. The service provider is coming after me for payment. I'm on social security and no other assets. Ambetter is terrible. I did make arrangements to pay the deductible which was $6000 but Ambetter hasn't even paid that much.

Spent 2 hours on the phone with 2 different people explaining my situation - both of which hung up on me! I am now on my third call to them again explaining my situation now the computer is frozen! We can not find a doctor within 100 miles of us that accepts the Ambetter insurance. We were told to drive 2 hours for a doctor. We also were told that this insurance is medicaid and that is why none of our current doctors are accepting it.

Ambetter lies about their coverage in the ACA website. I picked Ambetter because it said a major, well respected health care provider near me was in network. When I went to get a procedure scheduled the Ambetter website informed me the closest in network provider was 135miles away!!!!!!

I'm on Affordable Healthcare Act in which I have a premium and the government kicks in $1,300 a month. I can't even get an ID card to go to the doctor. this is an Arizona I was in Montana before and had great insurance. This insurance company is a joke

Absolute trash. Have been trying to appeal coverage for prescription and have made 20 phone calls totaling over 7 hours or phone time with them and no resolution. It has been 22 days of trying to get my medication covered and they claim that an expedited appeal only takes three days.

The worst insurance experience ever! Unable to get a person on the phone. Only thing they were worried about was making sure you paid your premium. When my wife turned 65 and went on Medicare, we quit Ambetter verbally and in writing, but still received past due notices for four months after! One arm does not talk to the other at that company!

Horrible coverage in Central Texas! They list a lot of Dr but if you really look, the are pediatricians not accepting mew patients. Meanwhile the primary care physicians that do accept it are the bottom of the barrel in quality. This company should not be allowed to exist. Terrible customer service and they deny everything. Most doctors won't take this plan. The ones that do, charge more for an office visit WITH this insurance than they would if you paid in cash. This group is simply taking advantage of our corrupt government laws. If you can find another insurer, do.
