I started coverage with Ambetter on 5/1/18. Since then, I have had to call them 3 times. Each time, the representatives I have spoken to have been unable to assist me with questions. I requested a supervisor and had to wait in excess of 15 minutes to speak to them and then they could not assist me either. All they did was refer me to my bank where the payment was made.

Beware this is the worst company, can't talk to anyone but a dumb customer service who doesn't help at all. paid my premiums on time and they said I have never paid a premium my bank has called and faxed over proof still they won't help they suspended my Insurance, I call everyday and get told the same crap. STAY AWAY DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!!! THIS IS A NIGHTMARE

I paid one month in advance and they sent money back. My son had been in hospital for a couple of weeks and I wasn't paying attention to bills. Six weeks later, my policy got cancelled as they said I couldn't pay in advance. .Then, I found out my policy doubled because of a mistake. I called the company because I was out of meds. One day they said I owed a certain amount. Then I ended up calling back three times and every time they said I owed a different amount. Today, I can't afford it and will most likely die because I can't afford to get them money.

I wish I could choose NEGATIVE stars. This is the worst coverage I have EVER HAD! I had traveled to Massachusetts for Valentine's Day. Wound up getting violently ill, A BLEEDING EMERGENCY that I had to call 911 and get an ambulance for....THEN, I get A HUGE BILL from the ambulance company as WELL AS the hospital...TURNS OUT AMBETTER (SCHMUCKS) DOESNT COVER OUT OF STATE EMERGENCIES AT ALL AND NEVER PAYS FOR AMBULANCE NEEDS EVEN IN THE STATE OF OHIO! WTF! I GUESS IT WOULD HAVE BEEN CHEAPER TO JUST DIE FROM MY INJURIES!

I was enrolled in auto pay. But they told me I wasn’t and did not even inform me before cancelling my service when I was willing to pay. When I complained about it the customer service representative got rude. Now, I cannot reenroll the clinics of this health plan sucks everything sucks about this health plan. The clinics look like a typical third worls countries clinic. I only chose this plan because it was cheaper. Had I known earlier about the poor state and shape of this sorry health plan I would have invested in a better plan even if it costed more.

Impossible to actually order glasses. Cannot order anything online, and when I was told I could order at Walmart, I spent an hour and a half on the phone trying to get guidance on how they could actually implement the $130 off. My insurance expired before I could ever use benefits. 10/10 would never ever use this company. I'd imagine if you had a serious health issue, you'd die prior to receiving any sort of decision on whether they would cover.

I wish I could give zero stars. They are complete liars. They list doctors on their website, which consumers use to select carriers, who are not in their network. Once you have selected Ambetter, you find out the truth and you are stuck with sub par doctors. I am stuck with them until open enrollment even though they used a bait and switch to get me as a customers. They are liars and not reputable.

They are hopelessly messed up. They continally deny my claims as out of network when I find the providers on their network website! I keep getting the same bills over and over from a Dr I went to and when I call Ambetter to ask why they are not being paid they say they never got the bill. So I call the Dr office and they say they have submitted and resubmitted bills over and over. It's like they don't want to pay the bills. I cannot believe they call this health CARE because it is NOT.

They should call themselves Amworse because if you need any specialty medication, you’re pretty much SOL. I’ve been on a medication for nearly a decade and have appealed their rejection of it without success. An ok health insurance company if you don’t actually need anything to benefit your health.

Do not use this company. They will put profit above your health every time. I need a once a week infusion for a complicated genetic disease. I sent the info to Ambetter a week before my policy began. 30 days later I still don't have the drug. They also denied the nursing service to infuse the drug. I filed a complaint with Fl Insurance commissioner. Stay away. This company will kill you.

WORST INSURANCE COMPANY IN THE USA. Ambetter continues to deny their lies. Don't use this company you will be very sorry. I have not found one person who is satisfied with Ambetter. Most all have the same response "Ambetter lied to me about benefits" All they want to discuss is payment methods. Even the supervisors lie over and over. They refuse to release transcripts of your phone calls because they are full of lies. WORST INSURANCE COMPANY IN THE USA.

Fake list of providers. Many providers are not accepting Ambetter. Needed many hours on the phone to finally get approval to a provider for my colonoscopy . Was told free colonoscopy screening was covered . That anesthesia was free as well. Now I get my bill and told that the anesthesia actually was done by an OUT OF NETWORK provider and was NOT covered . Got a bill for $500 .. PLEASE KNOW you can file a complaint with the Office of your states Insurance Consumer Advocate !!!!! I certainly will- this is just wild what this Ambetter is trying to pull off .

HORRIBLE THIS MARKETPLACE OBAMACARE IS TERRIBLE!! they told me to get the plan I wanted in indiana to keep my deductible at 3500 I had to go up to paying 225/ month so I did because I was pregnant. Then after I had complications and I was in the hospital for a week and my baby in the NICU they told me I did not have a 3500 deductible that they SPECIFICALLY WENT OVER AND TOLD ME TO GET THIS PLAN FOR THE $3500 DEDUCTIBLE. They told me i had a $5500 deductible instead!!! How can these ppl get away with this it's robbery

I'd rather give it NO stars. So far: They have no record of my first payment. However, they sent a card. With an incorrect ID. I called them and also sent a screenshot of my first payment and they said, essentially, "Oh well, don't know what might have happened to that." The P.O. box address on the email they sent me (saying they had not been paid) turned out to be incorrect. They did find that I had an account, but I was enrolled in a more expensive one I had not chosen. They have frozen my ability to obtain needed prescriptions. I call them Amworse.

if i could give them zero stars, i would. this is the worst company i have ever dealt with in my entire life. avoid ambetter at all costs. you honestly couldn't PAY me to work with them ever again. all they do is transfer you from person to person, no one can help, ever. honestly if i could call the CEO of this trash company, i would. even better, i would physically go to the CEO personally and tell them what a terrible company they have. it's absolutely incredible how unhelpful they are. i've been paying them monthly for three years now with nothing in return. DO NOT INSURE WITH AMBETTER.

My Experience was that their provider network was so small, even in a large metropolitan area, that I sometimes has as few as one, or even no provider option, and in fact in the last quarter of 2017, was unable to find any care in two needed specialties. Several they show in their network were either no longer taking ambetter, or scheduling out until the next year, or not actually in their listed specialty, or otherwise unavailable. They also failed to provide their listed rewards 4 times throughout the year, two of which they acknowledge, and all of which they now refuse to offer.

Trust me this is not the company to use for health coverage. Only if your visits to the doctors are sparse and non existent and your monthly premium is 0.00. This company doesn’t value their employees or members. They don’t provide quality training or good response times. Please only use them as a last resort and still don’t consider them even then.

I would like to give no stars!!! I have spent DAYS trying to fix our plan. There was a data entry error and it took 9 days to get the prescription drug side of the insurance correct....all while my 4 hear old asthmatic had to go without meds for 9 days. There was no urgency in fixing the problem. They r a confused company..refuse to call them a provider as they only provide headaches They did not even know they were no longer on contract with walgreens I have been paying for a service I was not even showing active for....

It takes a LOT to anger my wife.... but they managed! One of the few times I've heard her voice raised. Trying to simply get a letter confirming my cancellation so I can be put on her insurance, but they cannot send a letter because I am no longer a member.....??? Hmmm.... Another commenter put it best: "Ambetter is a maze of confused people" Staff was polite and friendly when they eventually did answer.

company dr directory is predominantly outdated and incorrect. They do not pay their drs therefor the drs on their list stop taking their insurance. i live in daytona beach fl so i don't live in the sticks yet i call doctors on their list upto 85 miles away and still no one will take their insurance!! (for an ultra sound or a dexa scan....run of the mill tests)

The worst marketplace insurance. Total scam. I’ve called about 15 times to update my kids primary care physicians and have been told 15 times they are updated and correct but they arent. I’m paying for a health insurance I can’t use. We pay $1400 a month for a plan that people get for free since it is a Medicaid company. Doctors don’t take it. Do not use or buy this insurance. It is awful and they should be ashamed of themselves for the company they are running.

I have not seen my rewards for the gym. I called they say someone else takes care of it. I called them and got no where. My reward card didn't work. They were supposed to send me new ones and never did. Finding a provider is harder than you expect. Even the brand new updated book they sent me half the doctors offices I called said they don't except buckeye. Don't waste your time here.

This Company is bad no Doctor will be in the network and the Doctors that are or the one Doctor I found was rude. Like my problems and time were beneath him. Ambetter service center there nice people, but my claims have been denied due to them. Overall I spent a year with no doctor and afraid to see someone because of it. I certainly can not afford 3-4hundred dollars a visit. In short use another insurance. provider if at all possible. I give no star if I could. But you wouldn't see if I didn't.

If I could give a no star I would. I was on vacation, got a sinus infection, went to a Doctor in a clinic, got a bill for $424. 00 NONE will be paid because I was on vacation. I said to them, so if I went to the ER it would of been covered? They said Yes. So they would rather pay $2500.00 for an ER visit, then for a clinic visit. No wonder this country is in the mess it is. WHAT A JOKE.

I am liable to pay for the mistake made by their so-called customer service representative who was supposed to cancel my insurance from October 31st but entered November 31st on the system. Never been enrolled in such a shit Insurance Company and I warn everyone to be aware of this kind of scam they running.Now when asked for the insurance termination confirmation, they are coming up with many clauses and conditions which was never told to me when I called for the cancellation. I recommend everyone to get any other Insurance but not this one.

Constantly misrepresenting that they have providers that they don't, no customer service, providers hate them because they are not paying their claims - you pick it. Don't count on the Texas Department of Insurance helping you with problems - the singularly most do-nothing agency in Texas.

I find that there website for listings of providers is deceptive. They show numerous facilities/doctors but yet when you call they no longer accept this insurance. When you do find a provider that still takes Ambetter, then as a new patient your wait time to get an appointment can be 3 months. In addition when you call their customer service they tell you they are sorry, but can't help in any way, just the way things are. Very frustrating!

Neidorff is the highest paid CEO in MO. Good reason. They weasel out of claims by saying the preapproval wasn't done right. And going to in network ER, but they won't pay the doctor. Then you get a surprise Bill, which is still legal in WA. The vision center listed on their URL said you have to prepay cause Ambetter won't pay them. Our healthcare system is so messed up. Thinking about going to Costa Rica and getting out of this train wreck of a country. Friends love the health care there. And they don't spend any money on wars!

This is by far the most negligent and incompetent insurance company ever. They have the worst IT system and are lousy with customer service. Never return calls, often have glitches in the system that will cancel your service and they offer no warranty to fix their mistakes in a timely manner. Meantime, you are left spending 1-hour phone calls with useless agents that cannot fix a damn thing. I regret this choice so much, as soon as I can I will change the insurance company for a decent and respectful one one.

Worst insurance ever. Medication shown as covered before enrollment was reason I chose them. As soon as enrollment was over they changed the med to pre-approval only and then denied it even after doctor did everything they required. I had heart attack years ago. Heart doc wants ultrasound done to review my heart condition now as I am having symptoms, but Ambetter won't approve. Ambetter Peach State healthcare.gov has been worthless to me and has been a huge financial burden each month with the hefty premium I pay.

This Company is the 'Lowest Denominator' in the Health Insurance and Obamacare industries. They have a very thin network of the worst Physicians, horrible Customer Service with long hold times, and they are very stingy in authorizing expensive procedures and medications. This is NOT a carrier which I recommend at all,,,one should not be insured with them for any kind of major illness or care. If you are given a choice to pay more for a slightly better carrier, do so! This company is even bad at collecting premiums, and has a high cancellation rate. Much of their service is outsourced.

You have to be brain dead to buy this insurance. I needed a cardiologist while in the hospital. All of Dallas FtWorth had 3doctors in their Network. 3! And not a single one worked in a hospital in their network. You ate forced to pay either a doctor bill or a hospital bill. The insurance is an Obama care joke! Its rediculous!!! The Democrats that forced this crap on us need to be lined up and shot! Thank you Ezekiel Emmanuel. You need to be drawn and quartered for what you have done to health care in this country. They charge you $400 a month and practically NO doctors in my area take this insurance, or the ones that do are not accepting new patients. Their provider directory is outdated and incorrect, and even when you call and speak to a live person, they give you names that will not take you as a patient. I spoke to a few doctors on the list and every provider has refused to work with them. They are a pain even for the providers. Not worth even for free. The worst company I have ever dealt with. Tried to cancel and they told me 14 day process. Then they took away my tax credit which raised my bill from $108 to $678. Now they need 30 days to review the notes. In the meantime they are charging me a late fee for a month of charges I should have never been charged for. Do yourself a favor and go with another insurance company cause Ambetter should be Amworst!

I am absolutely fed up with Ambetter! They are the the worse insurance company you will come across! I live in MS zip code 39507. They only have 1 dermatologist within network in my area and he only come in MS one Friday a month. He works out of FL. For a OBGYN they offer no women doctors that are in network. If you ever call Ambetter the reps will be rude to you and give you incorrect information. I do not recommend Ambetter and I will be getting rid of this insurance asap! Very disappointed with the lack of help and service.

They steal your money and never actually help you... no one answers the phones so the 24/7 help is a lie, most doctors won't take this insurance and they pretty much refuse to give you an approval unless your dying. I've had several insurance policies over my lifetime and this is, without a doubt, the worst. However, because I purchased it through the Marketplace, I'm stuck with it until the end of the year. Each time I try to choose a doctor from the list provided online or call Customer Service, it always ends up that the doctor doesn't take Ambetter for new patients. They don't cover 2 meds that I need. And that's not to mention the $6,850 deductible per person. Insane. None of this is revealed when you're buying the policy of course. Stay away!!!

Ambetter is absolutely terrible. They offer rewards for doing things like taking Nutrition quizzes and visiting your PCP, only problem is that it's near impossible to use the money.. I received my 'debit card' that is supposed to be how to use the money you earn and I tried it several time with no success. Called literally 3 times and emailed back and forth a few times and got nowhere. Nobody knew anything about it and nobody knew how to fix it. Then after a few months it just magically worked. Next month it wouldn't work again.. unbelievable.

Never, ever do business with Ambetter! They took a payment in November of 16 then didn't provide member packet. When filing tax return I find they didn't issue a 1095A Called on 3/16 to learn that policy was canceled and they would not issue 1095A. Suggested I call back on 3/20 to inquire about refund. THEY TOOK MY MONEY, DIDN'T PROVIDE COVERAGE AND THEN MAKE YOU JUMB THROUGH HOOPS FOR A REFUND!

I have called 17 Dr's on their list. They either don't exist or don't accept Ambetter. Finally found 1 at a clinic an hour away! This is the worst I've ever seen in ANY company for ANY thing! EVER! DO NOT GET! Who knows what's ahead for my husband needing a routine colonoscopy. I'm terribly scared for our health needs this year and I can't wait to be done with them.

I call repeatedly and get no where with them and they have the audacity to tell me to sell the doctor to go with Ambetter, ha not my place to do their work! Only had one doctor in my local area that was on their plan and accepting new patients. That doctor's office was unable to confirm my coverage, even after multiple attempts. When I tried to contact customer support, Ambetter customer support number repeatedly disconnected (i was on a landline). Finally had to get a supervisor to call my provider directly.

They are always very nice when you call, but after 15 calls (over an 8 month period) they still can not fix a claim for $33.00 that I was billed incorrectly for a wellness visit. I also contacted them via their online contact form (which says someone will respond within 48 hours) and no one has ever called me. I've written 2 letters - no one calls. I would suggest you not purchase insurance through this company - heaven forbid the problem would be with a claim for hundreds or thousands of dollars.....

My plan just kicked in today and I've called 3 doctors listed on their website for a pretty urgent need and all of them have said they don't take this insurance. I had no idea this was even a thing that could happen to this scale and to be honest I am absolutely terrified that I won't be able to get the care that I need. I wish I had looked for reviews before taking this plan but I didn't even know this could be an issue... not a great start.

Despite the fact that healthcare.gov has sent our paperwork to Ambetter, they still can't figure out our tax credit. After multiple phone calls to both parties and no resolution from Ambetter, Ambetter lying on their website about doctors who take their plan (the closes gyno for my wife is 200 miles away) my patience for Ambetter's incompetence is up. I sat on the phone with helthcare.gov for two hours to switch insurance companies at the deadline.
