I didn’t like the fact it took 4 months to get a settlement. I was told not to make any more payments, once I joined the program. I was not told my credit score would drop tremendously, my credit limit would be decreased, I would get harassing calls nearly every day. I would rather to have paid the minimal or something on the account as to deal with the harassment I’m enduring. The one account that is supposedly settled did not stop the calls. I thought this was a good program; had I been warned of the setbacks, I would have been more prepared. I would never recommend the National Debt Relief Program to anyone. I am pleased with the settlement, not the steps that NDR takes to complete the task.

I started this program in May. These were my stats then: Enrolled Debt - $18,849.11 Active Debt - $13,931.11 Resolved Debt - $4,918.00 That much difference already! You cannot imagine what a relief this is for me, to know I will be out of debt sooner than I ever could have been doing it all alone. And to no longer getting ugly calls and nastygrams, because you take care of things like that. I will ever be grateful for this program and glad it was explained so carefully I had no qualms at all about signing up for it.

They know that I have Alzeihmer's/Dementia so they know exactly how to explain matters so that I do understand because I do forget quite often. Being respectful is a key factor for me. Before I explain why I gave National Debt Relief (NDR) 4 Stars, I wanted to mention that I've heard some horror stories from friends who have used other debt settlement companies and totally got screwed! I think the worst was this one debt settlement company that my very good friend thought she was working with who essentially just stole her money! They told her they had gotten settlement offers for her and she approved them. But the company never made any of the payments on her behalf. Which now makes sense because she would occasionally still get collections letters for accounts that had supposedly been settled. Anyway, this is how she finally caught on to what was happening and she immediately cancelled her program. But all that money she put into the debt settlement program over 3 years she still hasn't seen. The reason I mention this is because that was a horrible experience for my friend and totally BS! So, my point is that, I can at least say National Debt Relief is legit and did what they said they would. Their fees are a lot in my opinion (which is why they didn't get 5 Stars), but I was aware of that up front and still chose to proceed. I'm now very close to all of my debt being gone (well, my credit card debt; I still have a car loan). But it's still going to be such a relief, and NDR got me there, so they get 4 Stars from me.
