I have over $832 in my go fund me account I've locked myself out and have no way of contacting these people do not use go fund me because if you make one mistake they get all of your money they do not have proper questions and proper answers for all the fucking problems they have all that money and I can't even afford a damn telephone

Changed their operations to a stripe account we are a small society who don't have the money to get a company number so this has prevented me from money for my choicen charity and left me uncertain of what will happen to the little donations we do have

Thank you for this honest feedback, Breanna. Since you wrote this review, we've recently updated our fees to remove the 5% platform fee from all US, Canadian, and UK personal fundraising campaigns. There is still a payment processing fee that varies by country, but for the vast majority of GoFundMe users the fees are significantly lower. Instead of the 5% mandatory fee, donors are now asked to make an optional tip to support GoFundMe.

Really terrible support, with very little information on how the funds are released. Very little or ambiguous information on how tax is reported. These are gifts to a family that needs help immediately. Why make the process so unduly complicated, and charge 5% for this terrible service.

I created a account to help a sick cat i rescued. Go fund me is a terrible site and ill never use it again. They held my funds trying to accuse me of fraud even after i sent the receipts and bill. Dont use go fund me. They will use every excuse to take your funds from you.

The campaign went great my goal was almost hit. My son has a brain tumor and the community rallied to raise several thousand dollars. I have yet to receive funds. Drawing funds is a nightmare. Customer service is awful. They shut my campaign down while I was still raising money. Do not use go fund me

Cancels campaigns without even knowing what exactly is being campaigned. They clam it's against their terms of service, but the terms of service are very vague and poorly written. So if you make a campaign, expect it to be deleted because it'll violate one of their poorly written terms.

The process for withdrawing funds is misleading and deceptive and we were raising money to save abandoned/sick dogs. Don't use it. They took almost 8% in fees, shameful. They don't disclose it until after they take their fees.

WOW this web sites really sucks...it sends you to the next page and just keeps on loading,,,,maybe did something wrong but after five years working at IBM I would think I would know what i am doing....well my sisther in law has cancer and we were hoping to make a difference but no here... find a different site!

We never heard back from you until you wrote into WePay with a question on September 17th. We responded on September 18th after WePay sent your email over to us and from there we were able to immediately clear your campaign to withdraw the funds. For future reference, please respond to our verification emails quickly if you are having trouble withdrawing your funds. Now, it looks like you've received all of your funds, and we're hopeful that the those funds were able to help your daughter rebuild after Hurricane Harvey.

They take WAY too long to transfer funds...im in a huge bind because of it!!! And no PayPal really complicates things a lot...if PayPal started their own crowdfunding site they would probably squash GoFundMe.

Such a shame that an amazing concept to aid those in need feels that a 7.9% fee is fair to take from donations. It's an utter insult to the donor and receipient. Beware!!! Choose another method!!!

You may be excited to learn that we've recently waived our 5% platform fee for personal campaigns in the US, UK, and Canada, which means most campaigns on GoFundMe will now only have a payment processing fee, which is roughly 3% (it varies slightly by country).

I've never donated, but I like the concept. If you are starting a go fund me, make sure to get the word out on social media to get funded. Simply starting a campaign won't do it.
