Great company because they give credit to almost anyone. They need to do better with credit line increases. Also need to do better with reducing interest rates after a customer has some credit trustworthiness.

When I filed bankruptcy in '97 these guys gave me a card just before my court date. They were supposed to be away for me to rebuild my credit but instead they screwed up my incoming payments so badly that we argued for 4 years. After they lost they waited 7 years and then tried to rebill me in collections for what they had already failed to prove I owed. Capital One will never be anywhere near MY wallet!

Former customer who moved to a different issuing bank due to frequent fraudulent charge issues. Capital One did an admirable job fixing fraudulent charges, but the nuisance of having the card terminated and being sent a new one became too much to deal with. Hopefully technology can help their loss prevention do a better job on this front.

Security on cards is good. However, customer service is NOT great. Sometimes it takes forever for my payment to process on their end, even after they have pulled the money from my checking account. Very difficult to get my credit limit increased, and I have never missed a payment.
