ASE Auto Protect is an automobile extended warranty company based in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The company has more than a decade of experience in the industry. The company's innovative features, like the choice of mechanic, are a standout.
ASE Auto Protect has three tiers of protection plans, each with different levels of car warranties or protection. This provides a variety of options for customers to choose from, rather than be limited to only one option that may not provide everything needed.
Especially for customers who are price sensitive, this means customers can choose the protection that is most important.
The company’s plans offer 24/7 roadside assistance and free courtesy towing, which are very beneficial to customers. As anyone who’s ever broken down on the side of the road knows, being able to get immediate access to service and towing when needed, especially not having to shell out $100–$200 or more to get home, is incredibly helpful.
While many auto insurance companies or others offer roadside and towing services, it is an “add-on” fee, which may be covered by ASE Auto Protect’s coverage, saving the customer from paying twice.
However, other companies in the same space also offer rental car reimbursement for $30 per day up to five days.
ASE Auto Protect allows customers to choose a mechanic, as opposed to having a list of mechanics to choose from. This means customers can bring the vehicle to their preferred mechanic, which is especially beneficial for those who have an existing routine with a mechanic who knows the car and its quirks already.
There is a lack of reviews available from current customers online, and information about the company is difficult to find. This makes it challenging for customers to dig as deep as would be beneficial before doing business with the company — perhaps an area for the company to invest future efforts in.
In order to receive a quote, customers must submit information about the vehicle and speak with a representative. For customers who do not prefer phone contact, or especially for those who are hearing impaired, this lack of access or transparent pricing could present an unnecessary hassle.
Especially in a time when many companies offer 24/7 chat service via the company website or Facebook messenger/text, this is an oversight.
The company’s website does not state whether the policies cover cars over a certain age, certain brands or models. It is also not clear if there is a waiting period on the website. Endurance Auto states that the company’s policies warranty cars up to 20 years old.
It would be helpful for ASE Auto Protect to provide similar information more readily available.
