I have had the absolute worst experience with geico. My damage adjuster “Huy D” has been terrible. From the beginning he has ran me around in circles. I totaled my car and needed geico to pay it off since I had full coverage and gap insurance so it should be no problem. Mr D originally told me he needed to go inspect the car to make sure it’s a total loss so I needed to get all the paperwork completed for the tow yard. I did that, just for Mr D to then tell me that he only works remotely and can’t go up there. So I asked him what to do since he’s an inspector what does he do if he can’t go in person and what do I do because I need my car to be verified for “total loss”. He tells me if I have pictures of the car then he can do it that way, but I always had pictures and he never gave me that option before? If we would have done that from the beginning this would have been done way faster. So I submit the pictures to him, he of course takes days to respond because that’s always how he has been. Come to find out the car had been moved several times to new tow yard because it was there too long. So now I have repo fees and towing fees that geico is supposed to handle for me. But Mr D said it would take a week or 2 for the check to get sent to the tow yard for them to get it and capital one needed it sooner otherwise they were going to put on my card that it was a repo because capital one is the one that had to tow the car so being in the original tow yard for so long. So I decided to pay the fees upfront myself and have geico send me the check in the mail. Everything is paid now and Mr D goes days and weeks taking so long to do this, after almost a month he tells me the car is good to go now and they are going to pick it up, me and him both call the tow yard to make sure everything is good and the lady tells us yes. More days pass and I ask him what is going on why isn’t the car picked up, he tells me that the tow yard is now saying they need some paperwork to release the car, even though they just told us it’s okay and Mr D is saying he doesn’t know what the paperwork is. So I myself call the tow yard to figure it out even though that’s his job, she tells me the only “paperwork” she needs is the towing company that is coming to get the car for me to email her an appointment day and time along with their ID, which is understandable. I called back Mr D and explained to him what “paperwork” it was and he said yeah I know I just called. But why didn’t he call days ago to figure it out? Also how did he not know what kind of paperwork it is, I called and found out within minutes, very easy task. So now over a month has passed and it’s been 31+ days and capital one has now put on my credit report a “repossession” due to the car being in the tow yard for so long and not getting paid off and completed in a timely manner. Huy D, who is a my Geico auto adjuster has destroyed my credit and put me through hell to get this situation taken care of. I take complete responsibility for my car accident, but as my insurance company you should help me fix it since that’s all you’re there for. On top of that I reached out to Geico directly and they told me they can’t do anything expect transfer me to Mr D. Although he works for them and I’m telling them he’s not helping me. Not to mention throughout this whole month, Mr D never answers phone calls or text messages for days at a time, despite how many voicemails I leave him. He also told me that if we can’t get the car out of the tow yard(which makes no sense cause it’s there and ready they just need an appointment from the towing company that’s going to come get it), that I’ll then be given the car back to me and Geico won’t pay anything off on the car or do anything and I’ll just be stuck with it. Even though I have full coverage and gap insurance and the car is very low in miles so it’s not an older beat up car, unbelievable. It’s safe to say Geico has great coverage and policies but terrible auto adjusters and they do not help you even if you call and tell them the people that work for them aren’t doing anything. I am now fighting to get this “repo” off my credit. On top of that I have lost my job, my car, I’m injured with a fractured neck and can barely walk, and temporarily lost my license. Despite having these injuries I still took ubers and got transportation to get all the paperwork and everything done just so it was easier for him even though I was supposed to be at home resting, but that didn’t help at all.

I would give them 0 starts if I could. I was with them for over 7 years and instead of treating long term customers better they constantly raised my car insurance rates. When I moved to NY I was paying $800 more than I would with any other insurance company I looked at. I got in an accident that was 100% the other person's fault and I had to pay Geico a $500 deductible that I never got back. So I paid $500 for an accident that wasn't my fault. The next time I did all the work and went through the other insurance company because I didn't want to lose another $500. The customer service is awful. They were never able to resolve any issues and I probably had to call5 different times to get them to change my billing method. I will never use them again and I don't recommend them to anyone.

I would give less than a star if possible. Geico was the insurance representing an individual found 100 percent at fault for an auto accident. The claim was set be settled and was then handed off to someone else who never communicated they were taking over the claim. It took me reaching out to get the claim moving after sitting for 2 months. This person than deleted all the work the other agent had done. In contacting this person's supervisor they informed me they didn't have all the paperwork even though it still showed up for me in my claim and I emailed her all my files. It has been 9 months since the accident and this still isn't settled and I am still playing mom trying to get updates. Geico was my auto insurance provider for almost 6 years. I just switched because of this experience. This is absolutely being handled inappropriately and will poor communication and unnecessary stress and work on my end.

One of the worst insurance companies EVER. DO not use geico. After my car was stolen from a locked garage with over 8000 dollars of gear in it, Geico made me not only pay my deductible, cedar rental, but also had it taken to a body shop after recovery where limited repairs were done and the car is now needing an additional 1500 dollars worth of work. In attempts to call or have any help at all with this company, I was met with rude unprofessional behavior. As a first responder, emergency doctor in the midst of a pandemic, I was asking for help on my end when my car was stolen. Instead, I was treated so poorly. GEICO...no longer a customer. After 13 years of being so you have done a disservice. Please do not use this insurance company.

ZERO STARS but it made me give them 1 Star!! I would give -5 Stars if it would let me! WORST service and WORST experience with an insurance company ever!! We had ONE incident during the entire time that we had them and they raised our insurance almost $100 a month! After finding pretty much the same coverage elsewhere...for WAY...WAY cheaper, I sent them the requested declarations page to show proof of new insurance. They claimed that once they received this, they would take care of the prorated amount that they claimed I owed. That was a lie. Nobody contacted me to let me know anything was wrong or needed so I assumed that it was taken care of...only to find out it wasn't....when I receive a COLLECTIONS letter in the mail!! Beyond pissed and beyond horrible company!! I would NOT ever recommend them to anyone. Trust me, there are equal or better options out there for a better price! Progressive is where I went and it will save me a ton!

I have had auto insurance service with Geico for a while, and when I renewed my policy for the 3rd time I spoke with a representative who advised me. After a couple of months of my new renewed policy I noticed that I had not gotten what was discussed. I called in and they said they could not help me because it was company policy. I then spoke with a supervisor who advised me even though the other representative did in fact tell me what she told me there was nothing they could do because it was company policy. I was charged more money than I was told. They effectively STOLE from me because I was charged more than I was promised I would be charged. Management is telling me it doesn't matter what I was told it is company policy and so there's nothing they can do about it, although I can cancel if I would like. When did stealing become legal? Because last time I checked charging someone for more than what you said you were going to is stealing.

This was the first time that I had a situation where I needed assistance from Geico. And I’ve come to the realization that this company doesn’t actually care. Dealing with a car situation can be extremely frustrating and difficult. And having multiple customer service agents hit you with rehearsed, one line responses in unhelpful. I was clear with each of them that I needed help and that I didn’t have much experience with the process, which I feel a lot of people go through. So it’s your job to know, and it’s then your job to explain. But if you can do neither then why I am I paying this company to help me? Most of the time they take my money and have to do nothing. But the fact that the first time I actually need assistance and I’m left feeling worse off is ridiculous.

I've been with Geico for 18 years now and I typically don't leave a bad review but I'm really disappointed in Geico. The automated clearly states that they are here to help us and take care of our needs. Unfortunately 18 years of being a customer with them doesn't mean anything! I haven't worked since August and all I asked was for a payment arrangement to keep my coverage effective. The representative Paige that I spoke with was very nice and tried to express to the manager at that time which of course you know you don't ever get to speak with them my situation and I was willing to pay but just couldn't pay the full amount. Paige came back and advised me the manager stated I had to pay the entire amount and the only thing that the manager could do was waived the lapse in coverage. All I could say was WOW!!!! 18 years means nothing to you all. Think it's time to change companies!! A company who cares about there clients and not just there money....

I used Geico for my car insurance which was fine. When my car lease was up I called to cancel my policy and the agent I spoke with accidentally cancelled the policy for the wrong date (backdated by a year) and as a result I was refunded. Now 2 months later Geico is saying they caught the mistake and corrected it so I need to pay that refund back. In other words, Geico made a mistake and I need to fix it. I've told them that I no longer have that money laying around nor do I see how this is my problem but Geico will not relent. I will never use Geico again and neither will any of my friends or family.

I had this company for almost four years. I am very disappointed of how they tricked me into something to keep me paying money even though I don’t even have a car. I had my car total loss and I called them to let them know I finally found a car that I want to add to my policy, then the car had transmission problems took it back to dealer. I got sick with Corona, then I called the company to let them know of what’s going on and telling them I don’t have a car to insure. The guy instead of cancelling my insurance put me into a program where I pay money still to insure me even though I don’t have a car. I was not aware of any of this. Then I realized that they are asking me 411 dollars for something I never asked for. I called the company, very rude customer service having no empathy what do ever with the customer ripping the customer off. They all care about your money and how to rip money out of you.

As a former customer, I would have to say they are good at some things like customer service. However, their prices go up without notice and they often are now higher than other companies. No longer are you receiving the 15% or better discount.

I had spent some time in another state with family due to deaths from covid-19. Geico decides to raise my premiums based on the state I was visiting because a couple mishaps, which were not my fault, happened to my vehicle while visiting. This is TOTALLY WRONG! I should have the right and freedom to travel wherever I want, whenever I want in my own vehicle!

If I could give zero stars I would. I was in a hit and run accident in my Mini Cooper and the Geico adjuster, Jeff, insisted on ordering after market & recycled parts for the repair DESPITE the fact that both the shop and the manufacturer strongly recommend AGAINST using non-OEM parts. I have been fighting with them for days now, delaying the repair and causing frustration for both me and the repair shop. They will spend days/weeks ordering and installing parts just to show they don't work/line up properly then have to remove everything and install the correct parts and THEN try to credit for the garbage Geico ordered. This delays the repairs and costs everyone more money in the end. Do not buy Geico insurance for your car - it might be cheaper but you will get screwed with repairs.

Deal ,

Beware of Geico's liability employees Dawn M, Tyler H for SURE, because they are highly deceptive and practice deception regularly and they don't give full and direct details. They put me at risk to the covid 19 corona virus by not sending their adjuster to estimate my property that their client caused to my property. I had to drive my vehicle to Geico auto repair express shop for Geico to do their estimate and Geico PAID92$ to their shop to dismantle my vehicle to do an estimate and Geico refuse to reassemble the vehicle. I had to tow and reassemble the vehicle. There's more to say but don't trust them and beware of them. They completely ripped me off. They refused to allow me to report to the Director of claims.

hello i would like to reach out to you to tell you how dissapointed i am with geico. Ive had an open auto claim for months and i understand there is a pandemic but i have been without a car for months and geico has not helped whatsoever. The adjustor handling the claim has not returned my repair shops calls or messages nor mine. My truck has been done for over a month and hes too worried about being on vacation then doing his job and the shop would not release my vehicle without being paid. he admitted today he takes off fridays and does not wanna deal with the calls and messages from people and he then laughed thinking it was funny. Ive had to take uber rides ask many people for a ride and sometimes not make it to work but yet you guys still take my money for the insurance i have. After my policy is up i will be dropping you guys and to all my fellow first responders i will tell them all to not deal with geico. What a terrible experience. I am still without a car and with a bill every month from you guys.

Horrible experience with Emergency Road Service. Waited over 3 hours for a tow truck. First tow company send a new tow driver who wasn't familiar with area and then second driver came in a small vehicle: no tower. Geico then denies we called for a tow. We spend over 3 hours with dispatchers and Geico. By the way; first tow truck driver started out 6 miles from us; apparently he doesn't know how to read the corner street signs. But that does not give Geico an excuse to make matters worse. We took hours off from work for no reason because the tower finally got to my home after working hours. We spend approximately over 3 hours back and fourth on the phone with so many different people from towing company/dispatchers & Geico. We gave the same specific directions we give to anyone else to get to us and they have no problem getting to us. This was unacceptable. Geico can put the blame on the tow company/dispatchers, but they were part of this horrible experience; they should have called a different company after the first hour. I will be reaching out to AAA.

During COVID I was behind on payments since I lost my job for 2 months. I was living on my tax return and stimulus check. I was not driving my car, and tried emailing and talking to someone about reducing my payments, as I could show proof via mileage or whatever. They were not willing to work with me, and when I tried to pay off my remaining $270 I was then charge $411 out of NO WHERE to cancel, or it would be sent to collections. I have been with Geico for almost 5 years, so I was extremely disappointed that during a pandemic they would do a long term customer like that. I will always let my friends and family know what I experienced with this insurance company, and how they were unable to help me during these times. Money hungry company.

During this epidemic GEICO has justified not providing roadside assistance to myself, a disabled man, and my disabled wife and left us stranded on the highway without any concern for our safety and well being. We had to pay out of pocket for the tow and GEICO has continuously allowed it's employees to discriminate and then claim that being disabled and having rights is only a feeling to justify violations of the Americans with disabilities Act conducted by GEICO employees by virtue of their position to show inhumane treat and bias towards disabled individuals during this epidemic and GEICO has refused to reimburse us for the tow we paid out of pocket which is financial exploitation and abuse of disabled americans and theft of finances . Financial exploitation" means the use of an eligible adult's resources by another to the disadvantage of that adult or the profit or advantage of a person other than that adult. "Eligible adult" means either an adult with disabilities aged 18 through 59 or a person aged 60 . "Deception" means a misrepresentation or concealment of material fact relating to the terms of a contract or agreement entered into with the elderly person or person with a disability or to the existing or pre-existing condition of any of the property involved in such contract or agreement; or the use or employment of any misrepresentation, false pretense or false promise in order to induce, encourage or solicit the elderly person or person with a disability to enter into a contract or agreement. The illegal use of the assets or resources of an elderly person or a person with a disability includes, but is not limited to, the misappropriation of those assets or resources by undue influence, breach of a fiduciary relationship, fraud, deception, extortion, or use of the assets or resources contrary to law. GEICO ALLOWED numerous employees to conduct “tortious interference with a contractual or business relationship, and defamation arising out of GEICO’s refusal to reimburse me on my roadside assistance I had to pay out of pocket because GEICO refused roadside assistance and left my wife and I stranded on side of the road near without any care for our safety or well being. When try to obtain the reimbursement GEICO chose to use my disabilities to mistreat me after they mistreated my disable wife and I on 6/8/2020 when we requested our roadside assistance. GEICO engaged in systematic fraud by denying the Roadside assistance and allowing it's employees to financially exploit, abuse and mistreat disabled americans is services both covered under the applicable policies and under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The two key requirements for an act to be called a "disability hate crime" are that it is motivated in part or whole by prejudice against someone because of disability or something related to ones disability i.e. income/finances; and second, that the act is actually a crime which it is a crime to financially exploit a disabled individual which GEICO emergency roadside assistance did on the 8, June 2020 - present day and are justifying not reimbursement of those finances because GEICO feels there policies allow them to violate federal and US law in that exploitation they showed on the 06/08/2020 to justify not providing a service that was paid to receive which violates the Americans with Disabilities Act and GEICO continues to show prejudicial bias to those rights and protections under law making it a factual federal disability hate crime. Due to the debt GEICO caused us it is now going to interfere with our housing for not having the ability to pay our cost of living due to GEICO'S fradulent conduct and telling us being disabled is a feeling( the thing is , that's like telling a women with breast cancer is only a feeling ) and having rights are merely an opinion. Other federal and US laws prohibit GEICO'S rife and inhumane conduct since GEICO is depriving us of our rights in a concerted fashion by virtue of it's employees positions and are continuing justifying the exploitation and abuse and refusal if services in GEICO'S official capacity as a business and doing business in the Untied States.

I have always enjoyed being a Geico customer and have given it 5 stars in the past. I went to review my renewal and the fee went up. When I looked at the billing, it said that I am credited $167 because of the corona virus. but the whole amount went up 30 more dollars compared with my January billing. This tells me that I received no credit for the virus. What a farce. The next time I renew my bill it will be $197 more than in January, 2020. Geico didn't help me during this pandemic. They took advantage of me and other good Geico customers. I didn't get a reduction in my billing, but an increase in my billing. Look at your bill and see how Geico has taken advantage of the customer. And no one has been much during the past few months. I am ashamed of you Geico. I did not type the word amazing in this space. I am guessing that this review will never be posted because there is no submit button for what I want posted.

Makes contracts for 2 years and claims you can’t back out, but in every case Comcast increases what you pay, claiming it on taxes. Even increasing several times a year. Then expecting you to act as Tech support when something is wrong with their equipment. Ever since they began working with business, residential services have suffered. They need to split the companies and compete for the most satisfied customers. Right now residential would lose.

Geico is the worst insurance I’ve ever dealt with it, the worst part in particular was dealing with Tyler S and Ada L, they’re reps who were useless and used shady tactics so that they wouldn’t cover my car damages. Tyler shira was unprofessional, rude, and seemed inexperienced and seemed his main goal was just to brush it off, he refused to speak with me over the phone and even hung up on me during a conversation. Horrible customer service. Website boasts that most questions are responded to within 1 hour. Haha. What a joke. Mine is going on about a week and I've still not heard anything. Also their COVID-19 Giveback is a complete sham. I still had to pay the exact same amount during this crisis. It's one thing for a company not to offer financial discounts during this pandemic; I get it, not all businesses can. But it's just plain unethical for a company to boast that they are providing financial relief to their customers and they actually are not. Their commercials should be pulled from TV. I can't stand listening to their lies. Time to find a new company with a better values.

If I could give no stars I would!!!! Horrible customer service, very rude on the phone, After I got in an accident when a stolen car hit us in my Dad’s car (Which is covered by Geico) they told me they could cover medical injury and then waited till I was well into treatment to deny my claim even though I offered proof that I had not stepped out side of my Dr. guidelines for activity during treatment since I am an athlete and needed to maintain some sort of mobility... I could have gone through a different cheaper Dr who doesn’t take insurance and saved a lot of money, But because they told me they would cover it I had to go with a Dr. that took insurance. And on top of that when I looked into having them cover my car before any of this ever happened they quoted me a ridiculous $346/month for limited coverage for a 2010 Toyota Corolla... which Basically means I could total my car every year and they would still make money!!! I ended up going with State Farm who have always taken care of me and charged a third of that for full coverage. If you value honesty, and customer service that actually cares don’t bother with Geico. 15 min won’t save you a penny but it may cost you several 1000 dollars! I can understand if there are policies that they have to abide by but they lied to me. and denied covering any medical bills of any kind including my initial trip to the Doctor and X-rays that clearly show damage to my lower back, and they tell me this right in the middle of an international pandemic when we are all out of work. they don’t care about you all they care about is your money and what they can take from you!

Called Geico on April 16th to see if they're offering programs to help with payments.Being forced out of work from the Covid-19, the best this insurance com was able to do, is 1. Delay my payment til April 30th of the month as if I'm magically going to find money in my bank account after Being put of work since March 17th (and 2. Offer a 15% discount on my RENEWAL. I asked how does this help now when I'm out of work now? Seems to me like that's just a way to get people to renew with you, you're not helping DURING the crisis. I just began my policy with you guys, I am just as affected from the restrictions going on as someone who is getting a policy renewal now during this pandemic. Thanks Geico, you guys really tried hard for your customers

I have had geico for about 5 years and they never fail to cause an issue. I've tried to cancel them numerous times over the past month and they still took an auto deposit even though my policy was forced canceled for nonpayment even though I informed them I was no longer using them and they refused to cancel my policy. They also somehow ended up always having me paying double or even triple my policy amount each month and they'd claim I'm not paying it at the end of my term but I end up paying it anyways. They're useless over the phone and honestly are the Verizon of the insurance world. Maybe they shouldnt take money from someone who told them to not do so in the middle of a pandemic where most of my state isnt even working. Will never use them again. I'd rather pay a premium that is 3 times more expensive then deal with geico

My car was hit in the rear by a Geico driver. Geico made the decision to total my car. The amount they paid me is at least $2,000 under what it will cost to replace a car of the same make, year, and approximately the same miles. I searched all cars within 100-200 miles and still have not found one, four weeks and the search goes on. In the state of VA, all dealers charge a processing fee, Geico would not even cover that. In the end, since Geico will recoup some at least 30% of what they paid me by salvaging the car, they're out of pocket costs will be less than mine. The agent said (very arrogantly), that's the way it goes.

I had to remove someone from my policy. Geiko had me fill out a form in order to do so. When my policy re-started my insurance coverage increased by $150.00. I started looking for another company for coverage. With my heavy work schedule months went by as I paid my premiums with geiko each month. 2 weeks ago I called them to try to negotiate my rates. I found out that the reason for increase was due to that someone I signed papers to remove had been added back on and they had 2 tickets which resulted in my $150.00 increase. I asked the representative why they were put back on and they said that's their policy. I spoke with a supervisor and wanted the difference I had been paying for. She said they do not do that. I consider this theft. Be very careful if you need someone removed from your policy!

You should not have to enroll in auto pay.the managers and supervisors were not able to help me. I was told one price by a LICENSE AGENT but when I went to pay my bill it was a 300 dollar difference. I work in customer service myself I know calls are recorded so they should have listened back on my call and fixed my issue. They basically told me it wasn’t anything they could do and not all calls are recorded and it’s because I didn’t enroll in auto pay. Ok granted that may be true however they still didn’t try to see if my call was recorded or not. That didn’t make any sense.i canceled my policy and I didn’t even have them a month literally for 2 weeks

I have been a customer for many years. Never a problem until now January 2020. We have our premium drafted and apparently they changed software which resulted in our premium being doubled. They never notified us (even though they could see it) and when we brought it to their attention the nightmare began. They had to three way call out bank to verify, again even though they had the funds on their end and could see it was paid twice, then they said it had to go to accounting for process and that would take 5 to 7 business days. Still did not receive refund for over charged premium. Called again and was told their system kicked it out of accounting as it needed managers review. They were going to leave me hanging saying they will try to monitor ....at this point I blew. First, when it was kicked out of their accounting process for manager why wasn't that done immediately, secondly why do I have to constantly call and check and thirdly I told the young lady that I deserved better that she needed to make sure a manager was working on it and I deserved a callback with the info as to when I could expect refund check. It is almost three weeks dealing with their mess. Extremely frustrating and no sense of urgency or follow up on their part. I will be looking for another insurance company. If they do this over an accounting issue how will they be during a claim? UGH! Now, trying to post review and submit button not available to me.

I recommend being insured by Geico as they have great prices and are always on board helping they’re customers. I feel safe driving knowing that I’m protected.

Horrible claim service! A denial letter was sent before they even spoke with me. There was no investigation done by the rep until I spoke with her manager. Both Geico insureds. Neutral police report with no tickets issued and word vs word. Other driver broken down and disabled in a lane of travel claimed he had his hazards on. My statement is he did not have his hazards on or any lights on and was blocking the entire lane of travel on a dark road, 1 lane of travel in each direction divided by double yellow lines. They took his word that his hazards were on over my word that he did not have any lights on his 1999 dark green Chevy pickup even though the police said they had just ran into him broken down 15 minutes prior. The Geico claim rep said there was no reason for them to believe that he didn't have his lights on even though it was the other driver's word against mine that he didn't have any lights on to show he was broken down in the travel lane. The other driver caused a danger to other motorists on the road and was obstructing traffic. Instead of GEICO doing a double denial GEICO said disabled car is 0% at fault. To take someone else's word over mine when there is no way to prove that his lights were on is unfair and improper claim handling.

This company is ridiculous. I would never recommend them after what they did to us. My spouse got an insurance coverage with them for their low rate. An underwriter, Katrina, who is flat out rude. I get it, you talk to a lot of people but don’t be in customer service if you can’t do your job and talk to people in a rude manner, but regardless they requested bank statements to prove my residence because I have two different jobs. I work in finance in one city and work for my family business in another city. I have no problem proving my residence but they were asking to see transactions made in one city. I’m not providing an insurance company transactions or my bank records for proof of residence. They would only accept that. I requested if they would just put my insurance at my other home location and they refused and cancelled my policy and never refunded us our money as promised. I never had to go through trouble with car insurance but be careful before proceeding with this company. It’s not a loan, it’s car insurance but I found a better insurance company. Sadly since I work in finance also, I’ve seen lots of issues with geico on the backend that customers don’t see. Beware!

Was Geico member for couple years, wife was pregnant with our first child, was rear ended by a drunk and drugged out driver in a much bigger truck. At this point the car was the least of our worries. Hurried her to the emergency room, received a call from Geico. Saying we had uninsured motorist insurance that we would be covered to not worry and just make sure baby was ok. She developed preeclampsia due to stress of the crash, baby had to be induced over a month early. Shortly after received a 20 percent paid off bill from the hospital. Geico refused to pay. Contacted them, they said let’s just forget about all this and we can give you 800 dollars. But you have to sign a waiver. Due to bills where required to get a lawyer that would charge us only when Geico paid them back. Cancelled policy immediately. Sometimes the savings are for a reason. I ask you to please Consider a different insurance. You might not always need insurance but when you do, this insurance company will treat you like you committed the accident. Squeezing every penny they can instead of doing the right thing, you pay them for a reason.

I had gotten into a accident to couple days ago and they are making my process take so long. They were suppose to get someone to look at my car and give me an estimate before I left the state and it gave them plenty of time. I had finally found someone that was going to do it the week I was leaving and now last minute they reassigned me to a different auto adjuster. I honestly regret going with Geico they do not care of the customers.

I had the WORST experience using Geico. They continuously and in my opinion purposefully didn't update my automatic withdraw, after calling them and telling them for several months my new debit card number. They claim to have MAILED me documents indicating my insurance would be cancelled. Which i was signed up for paperless billing. Then cancelled my policy and once i found out (2days late), they charged me for having a lapse in auto insurance. Then after i signed back up they back charged me for new forms i was supposed to sign and send back due to waiving certain parts of the insurance. These guys are crooks.

I have been with Geico less then a year. Signed up for 6 month installments that automatically come out. Well, I told them 3 weeks before my nexts months payment was due that my online mobile account kept changing. Was reassured it would be fixed & the system would update after 24 hours. Nothing changed after 1 week so I called again (now it’s 2 weeks before payment is due). Was reassured again it was taken care of. Another week goes by (1 week before payment comes out). Again I’m told it’s a system error & everything we be good by the time my payment is suppose to come out. So, then 2 days before payment comes out I check my account & it says something different again. Then I called, was told it would be fixed & will only be charged the $172 that my policy is. 2 days later I’m debited $172, $254, $584 & another $584. So I call again. They tell me they will refund the money in 3-5 business days. Meantime, my next paycheck is here so I go to check my account again. Then another $584 is debited our twice! So, I email them and call again. The lady was rude saying I call too much & I should wait for someone to call me. Well, I got an email telling me to call & now this is a completely different issue because I was debited again. Anyway, after all that I will have 2 separate checks being sent to me to fix the issue. I was not happy with the lady who helped me & oh hung up on me. Moral of the story bad customer service & beware of automatic payments. Wish I had looked at reviews ahead of time because I seen some warning about this already...

Worst provider EVER. Quick to collect premiums, snail speed to provide customer Svc or settle a claim. My daughter was sideswiped by another car. It was only paint transfer and the police were not called, all the insurance information was exchanged. I thought we were all good to go but the driver immediately file a claim against my daughter. Call Geico to dispute and they said if I could find a witness tell him exactly what happened everything would be good.Placed signs at the intersection asking if there were any witnesses. Witness came forth and supplied a written affidavit and call Geico on our behalf. They lied and said they never received the statement nor did they ever reach out to the witness. It is obvious from the position of the damage to both cars that the other driver was at fault but Geico is wanting to charge us so they can double our insurance premiums. They are truly a for-profit company and don’t give a rip about their customers. They will not return your phone calls so I had to call the insurance commissioner to get them to cooperate. Please take your business elsewhere because if you were on the end up getting frustrated if you ever file a claim with them. If I could give zero stars I would

No stars... what a crap company. We have been a customer for over 8 plus years. I was involved in a rear- end accident where I was rear-ended by another vehicle. The adjuster came out to the dealership and claims that part of the damages caused by the other vehicle is was not a result of the accident. He was asinine saying when you are in an accident you look differently at a vehicle. I asked for a supervisor. My rear panel is dented from something hitting it from the crash. My whole exhaust is buckled in the middle and he was even told that by the auto body manager and played it off by saying it barely moved and just needs to be put back on the bracket. The exhaust tip is crushed. Never have been treated so badly by a company. How many thousands of dollars have we paid to this company and instead of being with you through this traumatic experience they leave you in the dust. This company is ridiculous. No customer loyalty!

Was in an accident at no fault of mine. Person who hit our car also has Geico insurance. Spoke to several Geico representatives to find how how to move forward to schedule a chiropractor visit for help with pain that I am experiencing. Was told by several representatives that they can’t help me and that I would have to go to the chiropractor first then call to see if it’s covered. The chiropractor called Geico to say that is not the correct way to handle and accident claim. I was then contacted by Geico who said that I “waived” the PIP insurance but that I do have coverage for anyone in my house that is 16 or younger. That make no sense at all when there is no one living in my house who is 16 years or younger. This is not a professional way to handle an accident claim. I would not recommend Geico insurance. Very disappointed in the way Geico has mistreated the accident.

I was in an accident on September 13 and Geico has made my experience more stressful. I was told if I was to go through my PIP that things would move faster but that has not been the case. They stopped paying for my rental 2 weeks in without even issuing a total loss payment, because my car was a total loss, and then demonized me cause I made a issue about it. My bank got their part for paying of the rest of my car but I'm still paying out of pocket for a rental. And on top of it all they talking about my total loss check must've got loss in the mail. After this is over I'm dropping them as my insurance company. They have done nothing but stress me out through this whole process.

Called Geico for a quote, I had them years ago but they kept going up on me so I switched 3 years ago, to a cheaper & better company with much better customer service. They kept mailing me their flyers asking me to come back. So, I decided to give them a call. WOW! they ask you so many personal questions it rediculous. My wife's & mine education level, our previous jobs, what we did at our jobs, then a soft credit check, he got really personal. Just unbelievable questions that I really thought it was none of his business. I asked why all the stupid irrelevant questions. He said for a discount, lol lol I felt like I was being raked over the coals. I decide to forget about it and hung up. They want you to tell them your family's life story to some stranger on the phone. Then I read some newer reviews and found out they get you cheap in the beginning, than raise your premiums expeditiously.

I would give all zero stars if I could. I had geico insurance for over twenty years and have never had to use it until june 2019 when a woman hit me. Geico is the absolute worst insurance company to deal with. My adjuster Moveita S is terrible. From day one she has given me nothing but attitude no matter how nice you are. She doesn’t not do her job. Does not return phone calls. It’s a joke! My accident was on 6/7/19. It is now 10/19 and I just received the second billing statement for the doctor that took care of me the day of the accident for $476.00. One month ago I sent the bill to Moveita who assured me she would take care of it. Again she didn’t do her job! I was told no fault denied payment for it. It’s funny because the day of the accident I called geico and they gave me the no fault claim number and said to go to the emergency room and everything will be covered. Five months later the MD bill is still not payed! What is the point of having insurance if when you need it nothing is covered! I would not recommend this company to anyone! It may be a little cheaper but you get what you pay for! Terrible!

I contacted Gieco to renew my policy because unforunantly I was three days late to renew it as life happened so that part was my fault however I asked them to give me the quote for the renewal of the policy plus the amount already due and they refused to give me the total of both together. I even spoke with a manager Morgan and they think because they put on a sweet condescending voice that they are being "nice" but I dont appreciate being treated as if I'm some sort of terrible person because I had a few family fires to put out. They acted like i was a thief because i asked for the total of the 2 prices together so i could just make one payment i find this unacceptable and will never use their service again. People dont call and ask for the total price if they aren't going to pay very rude! I will be telling my whole family to switch as well and they absolutely will.

I was rear ended by geico policy holder at a red light. The driver was not the policy holder of the vehicle. Taking to hospital for injuries sustained by ambulance. Everything was good on the handling of getting a rental and my car fixed. The adjuster that came out for my car estimate was great. After getting my car back I have been treated like the victim. Lady handling my claim has not been in contact with with I have left numerous messages but then when I leave a text message that kinda rude she immediately calls and says I have had zero voicemails from you. Wow? So a lie. This is definitely not how I should have been treated at all. I didn’t ask to be rear ended at a red light and in my new car I had for only three weeks.

DO NOT GO TO GEICO FOR INSURANCE! They told me two different things about a claim and ended up charging me double. It took days/weeks to talk to management and then he pretty much stated he couldnt do anything about it. When requesting him to go back to the recordings he stated not all of the phone calls are recorded (well of course not). So pretty much he didnt listen to me and the representative told me that I should have lied. So since I was being a good person and was truthful and Geico representatives are not trained well enough to lead their customers in the right direction, that I was penalized. My husband is in the military and we have been with Geico for almost 3 years! Never again will I return back to them and I am very disappointed. I would not recommend Geico to anyone... they lost a great customer and actually they lost our whole family because now everyone is switching! So just beware- they dont care what you say and actually said that I should have been dishonest. Now that is not a company I want to be associated with! So way to go Geico! You lost out on thousands of dollars due to your mistake and lack of judgement!
