The CPA that I was assigned to and was charged an additional $1,000.00 for their service cost me an additional $860.00 due to making me wait to pay the IRS their amount your staff sent me. Communication with the CPA was poorly handled. The only thing Tax Defense Network did was charge me $2,500 to refer me to a CPA. I have documentation that proves the above statement.

I like that they're helping me pay off my debt of course but when I call to discuss something concerning my case it takes forever to get a hold of that person. They need to keep me posted more I know they're handling my case but I would like more up to date communication. And less same email like I'm a new customer.

Total waste of time and money! After dealing with them we actually are in worse shape than we were before we started because of their handling of our case. Tax Defense has been paid in full for their services and the case is still not resolved. Hard to get return phone calls and prompt responses to email queries. Even contacted the corporate office to say we needed some answers to why we received a lien while Tax Defense is working on our case, which we were told COULD NOT happen, and of course so far they have not returned our call or responded to the email! The money that we been paid to Tax Defense could have gone towards our taxes to show the IRS we are trying to resolve the matter, instead we wasted it on Tax Defense only to end up with no results! UPDATE - (November) ...Issue still not resolved, but tax debt continues to climb. They promised no levy while they are on the case...ALL LIES, our situation is not better, no relief, and certainly not better off by trusting this company. Do yourself a favor, call a reputable company that wont lie and make you promises they can't keep, just to get your money. If I could rate "zero", I would! I would not even recommend them to an enemy.

After inputting my initial information online, a Customer Service Rep called me to walk through the services and then put me on hold for a few minutes, came back to tell me she was going to connect me to someone else and put me on hold again. I waited again and when she came back she again advised me she needed to put me on hold again. I told her she could call me back when she has someone ready-to-go to talk to me, but that she shouldn't call people and then put them on hold multiple times, making them wait for long periods. Bad customer service and just plain rude. And while I was very polite I have not heard back from them again. Good riddance ... I guess if they can't manage their front-end how can they manage the IRS?!

I was given conflicting information from the beginning. Then after everything was set in pkace was told the case woukd be closed but if I wanted to pay more that the over one thousand dollors i was making payments on i would have continued service fir only 27 dollars a month. Really???? I feel like i am Exploited because im behind in taxes. Once im current with my taxes i will bust myself to never be in this position again. I wonder if i should have found someone in my iwn state

I ran into financial issues due to previous year of taxes not being reported correctly. I reached out to Tax Defense and was told on the front end that my situation with my debt and heal issues would be a good case to get the $7,000 tax reduced or absolved. Of course their fees were approximately $2,600 which was my entire savings. I could have used this to settle with the IRS. They told me that by absolving my debt would cost this and that would be all that I am looking at financially. 7 months later and several attempts at getting this resolved, all they could do is set up payments that really cut into my budget of $145.00 and now the balance I owe to the IRS is $13,147.54! They claim to have all this success and great rating. Their customer service is good but how could they not help me, a single woman who supports herself and OBVIOUSLY has no money to pay the IRS. I feel I was totally deceived and there is nothing I can do now that they took my money upfront. My suggestion, is get a CPA to work with the IRS or some other company.

Don't get fooled by TDN! Our odyssey with TDN began when we received a notice from the IRS for failure to respond to an audit. The audit was for 3 years and somehow we owed 75k+ even though we had paid taxes. We explained the circumstances of the issue and was told by TDN they could help us for $7500!! We were very concerned and naïve about the process and paid the fee upfront in two installments. This fee had to be paid in full before TDN would begin any services. Needless to say TDN sold us a bill of goods that did not hold up. There are too many bad things to list here but in the end we ended up owing the IRS the same amount for the years audited; had taxes filed late for the following year because TDN took over 1 year to complete and file the taxes; and then TDN refused to help us resolve with the IRS unless we agreed pay more money to continue services. One really frustrating issue was that they frequently transferred our account to the "new" person in the office causing delays and significant time on the phone re-stating the issues and background to bring that "new" person up to speed. The only reason we give TDN a rating of "1" is because the first person who initially handled our account was an advocate unfortunately she left TDN because she was overworked and underpaid. Bottom line do not use TDN!!

I contacted these folks, 1st they made sure I knew that they only take on cliets that meet their criteria and our case may not apply. We owed $ 80,000 + due to closing a business and capital gains from that. The attourney we spoke with made his consultation to check out our case and then promised to contact us on a Saturday to go over his findings. He never got back to us. But my wife pusued the case with the IRS and on her own was able to get the Offer in Compromise we requested help from the TAX DEFENSE NETWORK. THEY FAILED TO HELP AND RESPOND BACK RESPONSIBLY, OUR DEBT WAS REDUCED TO $12,000 WITH NO HELP FROM THESE FOLKS i WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO MY ENEMIES!!!!

I engaged Tax Defense Network because of the positive reviews received online only to learn otherwise. They delayed and delayed, passing me from one person to the next without actually performing any work. The only thing they did do aggressively was tap my bank account. I sent all back returns promptly only to learn nearly 2-months later that the person on their staff I sent them to was no longer assigned to my case but that person and the organization overall did not have the decency to provide me with any information. Do yourself a favor and stick with not-for-profit organizations when pursuing assistance for tax-related matters. Their motivations differ and are better placed.

TDN charged me over $8,000, for the WORST service I've ever experienced! The first person told me a few days before Christmas to "... liquidate my 401k and pay the taxes, have a Merry Christmas...." When I explained that I received a monthly income from that account, she shifted me to a 'supervisor', then gave me to Mr. B. He wound up getting me into an unsustainable payment plan for NYS, taking a third of money needed for rent, and caused me to have to overdraw my 401k just to pay rent & utilities. He NEVER addressed the IRS issue, and made it sound like the world would end if I didn't sign off on the payment plan for NYS. I eventually wanted a refund. I was offered $2,500, which came with a caveat that I sign an agreement not to speak ill of the company. I refused, and I NEVER got the refund. I complained to the BBB and I still haven't had any resolution, and the payment plan nearly bankrupted me.

Good service. it's just sometimes they're hard to get hold of. The main CPA should have an assistant that clients can talk to in case the main CPA is not available. Otherwise it's good once you actually talk to them

I owed back taxes - After doing some reviews of companies, I went with Tax Defense Network. After discussing my issue with them, they said they could help. Signed a contract and gave them all my information and started a payment process to TDN. Bottom line, I got the same repayment program through them that I could have gotten through the IRS. So, after several months of negotiating between the IRS and TDN (after which time I had finished paying off my bill with TDN, which was substantial), I still owed the IRS all the money from the original bill. Now it would seem that TDN could have told me right up front that they could not help me and saved me at least some of that payment. So, if you are looking for help with any tax relief company, make sure get some assurance upfront (hopefully in writing) that their payment is based on the success of the case.

Tax.defense group is a,scam! I paid 5 k and 2.days after they got their last payment. I called to remind them I was a customer and they printed out forms that were partially filled out and had the grammatical errors of a.12 year Old from Sarah and was informed, I have to fill out the rest of the lien release papers. This wasn't what I was promised my Chris who is the slick used car salesman of this hell trip. Then Sarah told me the mysterious lawyer.who is always.talking to the irs and never once.called me. Could not be reached. I have asked in about 5 different emails to.be given his name,and bar number. No answer. Chris .wants to talk on the phone. I prefer email as nothing he verbalized to this point has come to attrition. So what I have Is partially filled out offer,that Sarah assures me.would. Not.pass because the price was.to low, what is the point of their exercise then? Total waste.of,money would like to see the refund policyfjf
