So in January of 2022 I reached out to Money Solver / Tax defense network to help me resolve issues with IRS and most important with the Department of revenue. I had a discussion with one of their "sales People That would connect me with a tax expert . He promised to solve all our issues and get us back on with all agencies . He gave connected me with a lawyer that apparently had quit . That should have been the first red notice. He told me the total cost would be 6500 dollars , a fair amount to give us peace of mind. Then I was connected with a second set of "Tax Experts" Mary B from somewhere in Wyoming, and she seemed capable and boy was I wrong with that. At the end she admitted ( after sending me sales tax returns that were so badly written that I could see that they were not right ) and after about 3-4 months she sent me an e mail to reach back out to Moneysolver office and she admitted that she did not have the required knowledge to handle this . At this point I had already paid them 4500 dollars and sent them all the paperwork ( that I still have not received back ) so I did talk to the Final lady Gina D and another battalion of Tax experts, and told her all I needed for them to do was do as they promised and I would resume payment . At this point I believe it was all just a scam and hope I can recover some of my hard earned money and find some real help . Needless to say this has left me in a far worse position . I have reached out to the new lady Gina several times in the last 2 weeks but no reply. I think they know I am on to their scam. I have all correspondence with them saved all the e mails and will attach the last one that Mary B sent me admitting that she does not understand Colorado Sales tax law that she was supposed to do for me.

Beware. The slick sales agent will make promises and is very convincing. Jerry J did nothing but say how busy he was and made me feel as if I was bothering him after he received the first payment. All of his promises were BS. I declined his services after the poor treatment and failure to do anything. This guy is located in Jacksonville FL and the “attorney” nope she is an “Enrolled Agent” is located in Hawaii??? Huh?? I found out the hard way that Tax Defense Network vends these cases out to other companies. I’ve called my bank and requested a refund plus stop payment in case they try to withdraw any more money. I learned a few things: 1. Don’t let a sales agent scare or pressure you into sending money immediately. 2. Never sign up with anyone who is in another state. 3. You want an attorney…not a sales agent, enrolled agent or any other title. 4. If you own a home with equity…I’m going to SHOUT this….THE IRS WILL NEVER EVER ZERO CHANCE OF APPROVING ANY OFFER IN COMPROMISE!!! 5. Be careful and do your research. Don’t talk to anyone who will take advantage of someone in a desperate situation.

I came to them after being promised they could get rid of all my fees and penalties so that I could pay it back a lot quicker. Then the two ladies working on my case continued to ask for the same information over and over and over but nothing came of it. Then they ghosted me for MONTHSSSSS I tried everything to reach someone emailing everywhere I could and calling numbers I could find and leaving voicemails then after I started to get crappy an mean another women reached out. She apologized that the ladies on my case moved on or whatever and I thought all was well. So then I send the information again but this time we’ve lost 80% of our income by now so we were then and still are drowning in more bills then income…. I was super hopeful this new lady would be the one to do what I was promised from the start… erasing my fees and penalties and preventing further ones(fresh start I think is what they called it) and since the IRS was already holding two of my bigger refunds that should have covered most if not all once the fees and penalties were removed. I was so excited to think we’d get our 2020 taxes after not getting taxes since 2013-2014 and well that didn’t happen… the lady set up a paper for low income people that stops them from seizing assets an such (that I absolutely could have easily done myself!!) but did NOTHING for the fees and penalties then I called irs and was able to remove one years myself which they said my tax lawyer should have already done if they were actually doing anything for me… so now here I am again with another big refund (over 14k) for 2021 still going off to the irs cause I could only take off one year myself and my “lawyers” said they “did everything they could” for me by filling out one paper that I could have quickly and easily done my dang self!! And now y’all still charge me this monthly payment for the service I signed up for but never received and this is the 2nd tax refund I should have been getting back with y’all’s “promises” and I’m DROWNING in bills with very VERY little income and just had my fourth child(had to return to work within a week of giving birth because my part time income is all we have) and I’m losing everything outside of the bare minimum I’m able to keep between my tiny income and maxing out all my credit cards(which has DESTROYED my credit I was in the 750s and now I’m in the lower 600 range) and y’all have the nerve to blow my phone up about a late payment needing payed to avoid legal repercussions or whatever and threaten that you report to my credit bureaus like my credit isn’t already bad enough…. I still owe over $4k and have no way out of these payments but didn’t get anything close to the service I was promised and calling constantly to remind me that I’m so damn broke I can’t afford to even pay attention ain’t helping… how about you do something helpful and pay off my account with y’all since you didn’t help and it’s taking a toll on my credit and I can’t afford the payments if I want to keep my rent, lights, car, and phone that I have to have for my children’s specialist and schools and my work… I don’t know why I’m wasting data to type this y’all don’t care and people like me that are desperate for real help will fall for the bull crap. I’m just sad and freaking mad!! I’m so tired of this all!! I’m a good person and I give everything an more to anyone in need but still always manage to ended up on the losing side and I give way more chances than anyone deserves! Shoot even now typing this I feel bad for putting a bad review on y’all but I’ve got to get this off my chest and no one wants to hear it on the phone so y’all can read it here and anywhere else I can find to post this with everyone else too

I enjoyed working with Richard. He communicated well with us. I would recommend him to help someone else. I was unhappy that after one year and $6000.00 later and still owe the IRS the same amount.

Worst experience ever! If you have the time I recommend to work with the IRS yourself. Took over a year to finalize things with the IRS and IRS is still going to garnishing future tax returns until the debts are fulfill in full. I rarely heard back from the representative and when I did it was to hear that it was nice working with me. I was promise I was going to receive back my payments that I made to this company due to my financial hardship and I wouldn’t be owing back any debt in the future to the IRS it was all false. Payments have stop for now with the IRS but once again IRS will keeping my future TAX RETURNS until my debt is pay in full, if I would of educated myself in the beginning I would of pay the IRS $5,500 instead of this company. No words for my representative who was rarely there to answer my calls. Stay away!

Definitely a waste of money. Communicating with them is poor and for what they did, I could have done directly with the IRS. They dragged on for 8 months before providing a "resolution" of a payment plan with the IRS. Newsflash... you can call the IRS directly and set up a payment plan. The reason I was using their services, which was clearly communicated during the consultation and multiple times via email was assistance in getting penalties and/ or interest reduced. Despite me asking multiple times for documentation on exactly what they had been working on, I never received any clarification on what they did that I couldn't have done on my own. Save your hard earned money and work with the IRS directly.

The service provided by Kenneth W was excellent , very informative and very professional . As a whole I am very disappointed in the initial stages of contacting Tax Defense Network . I was promised solutions to my tax challenges with out presenting the qualifying conditions, namely TAX LIENS . This is unacceptable . And the price tag is way over inflated . I would never recommend this company to anyone for that one reason and also the price tag. I got into more debt with the programs fees . Now I have to pay those monthly fees to a lending company on top of my monthly tax settlement . I do not know how I am going to make the payments . Total cost per month is $163 plus the settlement of $ 478 . So $641 total.

Ruth R with Tax Defense Network has been with me every step of the way. She placed my mind at ease and I now have peace. The entire team has been great.

I am pleased with the job that TDN did for me. It took quite a while, but I believe that it was due to the Covid-19 shutdown. I am able to pay off my debt to the IRS in monthly payments that are affordable. Thanks

Extremely disappointed with this Firm. They are extremely difficult to get ahold of and they provide you with no proof of extensions. When there is an issue, they don't tell you, I found out that the State of California would not honor the Power of Attorney, yet they knew about it but never told me. I also found mistakes in the paperwork that was sent to the Federal Government, they denied the mistakes but sorry when the IRS sends you a document that clearly shows the mistake, who is wrong in this case, not the IRS. So far I have had to do everything myself. This is not a reputable company and is not worth your hard earned money.

I hired Tax Defense Network about 5 plus month ago, and this far I have not had a great experience. I got assigned to Alisha which I personally have only talked to once and that was because I had left messages and send emails and finally was able to have her answer the phone. Although she is very nice on the phone, there is no follow up, I was to have I believe 2 reviews as which I have not had any and this is July, and I have no clue where I'm at. She stated she had over 200 clients so maybe thats why, not sure. I also had them to do my tax return for 2018 and 2019, because when I first called the gentleman stated that they do all that, so I said ok. So i never heard and never heard about my taxes being filed and called several times about them, which you can guess it, no answers. The one call that I was able to talk to Alisha she said they are working on them and I should get them at anytime, and that was at the end of May. So I checked my email daily for updates, and one day I decided to do a search for Money Solver in my yahoo account and a Paul B had sent my taxes for my review on May 28th, I never got a call or email that they had been sent, if I wouldn't of done the search I would of never saw them, very frustrating . So they were incorrect and I had several questions, so I email Mr. Paul, 3 times and also called his number and left voice message, and this is what July 22? and still nothing. I also sent Alisha a couple emails and I have heard nothing. Also at the time of my first call I informed the gentleman that I wanted them to check on 2016 to make sure everything was ok with them due to wasn't for sure, since I got a pension from my husband if they were correct, and lets face it, if your going to get a settlement, you need to make sure that everything is correct, because per Alisha if they settle for 2018 and 19 then something comes back then the settlement is null and void, so you have to pay another close to $5000 to start over. So at this point I am not happy, with almost no communication, no updates on my case. With the people that I am dealing with, I would not recommend to anyone.

In my opinion this is one of the biggest scams going!!!! The person that signed me up promised me all kinds of stuff. Said they would get late fees and penalties dropped. They did not. Told me he could get my debt to the irs cut in half, they did not. I ended up paying the irs the original total I owed and paying tax defense network almost $4000 for there “services”, which amounted to the occasional phone call or email. All the tax defense network did for me was file my 2018 taxes !!! Biggest scam ever and I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. So all in all my experience was very negative and I would not recommend them to any one!!
