Their customer service was fair. Each time I called, I talked to somebody different, and if I asked if the original agent was available, they would say that they could help me. I didn't want to explain my whole story all over again, that's why I wanted to talk to the first person I spoke to. Besides that, I have saved money, and they kept me updated, however, I haven't heard from them lately.

The folks at community tax....a LIFE SAVER when I tell you the IRS was on me, it all started with the letters they began to come more frequent so I started looking for help. Shout out to Liberty Tax they connected me to Community Tax. I spoke with David, I gave him my entire run down. Then he connects me to Brian, it was the 1st week I believe, that he got me squared away. He set me up with a payment plan (that I can afford) You guys I thought I owed the IRS a TON of money, I was wrong it turned out to be half of what I thought I owed. Call Community Tax ASAP they will help you, and answer ALL your questions believe me I was texting them and everything, yep they will call you back. Hello , Recently I found I needed help with three years of tax returns. I really didn't know where to start. I called a few "tax help " companies each offering services beyond what I thought was needed. Along with initial fees up to $2500.00 The young man with Community Tax took a fair amount if time to actually listen to my circumstances. He followed up professionally and courteously and made comfortable arrangements for payment. I was happy . Then I began working with Courtney M. and she was wonderful. She took a good deal of time answering questions , explaining the process and what to expect. I can't express how relieved I Geely and the confidence I was able to have in Courtney. My returns were processed timely and correctly and I even received a small but unexpected refund. Courtney was patient and informative and the process was si much simpler than I could have imagined. I will continue with Community Tax going forward and know I am in good hands. Thank you Courtney and community Tax.

I don't have anything to compare this company to other than my failed attempts at negotiating with the IRS. That says a lot right there though. Community Tax obviously did something right to sway my decision to work with them. I regret having to pay anyone to help me deal with the IRS but that is our reality; you cannot work with them. They are steadfast in their pre-determined decisions and there is no swaying them. My interactions with the company were consistent. The staff were cordial and efficient. They did their parts then turned my case over to the lawyers who worked their magic with the IRS. The end result met my expectations going in vs. the manner in which the IRS proposed that I proceed. For that, I am grateful. Oh, my case worker left the company before my case was settled but another agent (Ryan S) jumped in and handled everything to my satisfaction. If you are looking for help with the IRS, you will have to get help. I recommend Community Tax as a reliable company to assist you.

I can’t speak to the degree that the company is over great, HOWEVER today I contacted the agency regards my tax (concerns) and the agent I had the pleasure of being Linked to was named Lorenzo, The duration of my Call with Lorenzo was great, As a consumer/client, he answered ALL of my questions directly, I sensed he was very knowledgeable of the services his company provided, that was very mind settling for me! He walked me through every step of what this process would look like for me in detail being again very up front, forth coming and informative. Although many people are “fearful” to face their wide variety of issues with the IRS, contacting Community Tax and being able to speak with an agent such as Lorenzo gave me a lot of peace moving forward in this process to get on the other side of my Tax issues, with hopes of comfort and a great resolution individually tailored to me situation. Lorenzo was nothing short of personable yet very professional and well-spoken with the services offered by Community Tax and that I am grateful for.

I reached out to Community Tax, LLC. from Chicago, Illinois back on November, 11th 2020 in search of Tax Relief Services. I had received a lien or wage garnishment letter, and I knew I did not owe as much as the IRS says I did. I didn’t want to fight the IRS myself, when I could have Tax Practitioners do it for me, right? My care was untraditional as I'm more hands on than most. Community Tax did an investigation into my tax issue as part of their phase 1 program. I have to say that you can't get a CPA to look over your complete tax record for $250.00 as their phase 1 costs. I think more of the money might be made through phase 2 and negotiations with Federal and State agencies. They are creating a new standard for the industry and customer best interests come first. I stopped before going into Phase 2 for two reasons, I was afraid of being taken advantage of not knowing what I was doing and I believe no client should pay full price for a service until they know what kind of options are available to them and what the expectations of the service are. Let that not be evidence of dissatisfaction: quite contrary… Let me put it into perspective for you here. My tax bill was $35,000. Healthy, but not massive. I would expect to pay around $4,000 to a CPA or Tax Consultant to help me with my tax problem. The average client, at a tax resolution firm, spends between $3,500.00 - $7,000.00 just to the company handling the tax problem. The more you owe, the more complex your scenario, and the overall time estimated to handle your tax resolution will lean you more towards the top end of that. I owed $35,000, I had 6 returns to be filed, 1 to be amended, and the TOTAL cost as a percentage of the TOTAL tax bill that Community Tax LLC proposed to charge me WAS ONLY 4% percent of the outstanding debt, including the investigation. You can do the math, but I'll give you a hint, it was going to cost under $1,500.00 in service fees to the company for an investigation, filing the returns, amending the returns and settling my debts for my particular case. Note, your price will be specific to your circumstances, I can't express the importance of that. You can trust this company. I personally did not go into phase 2 because, A. As I had stated early on, I was more hands on and only interested in the investigation. I would handle the returns myself. No foul. A+ B. An early on miscommunication between myself, the client and the sales rep which was later resolved to my full satisfaction. The Customer Satisfaction Department is. No foul. A+ C. I thought of a different way to get the tax bill handled. No foul. A+ My experience with the customer satisfaction department was A+. Definitely reach out to them if you have questions or concerns. Whenever I had a question, she promptly answered it via phone call or email. Whenever there were documents to be processed, she immediately notified me. If there was any type of correspondence from the IRS that I didn't understand, I contacted her and it was explained in depth so I completely understood. Most importantly, she treated me with great care and concern. Not only did she handle the business end but I felt comfortable and cared for!! I ran into a tax problem. I searched on the internet to find a company that was a one stop shop (attorneys, CPA's, case managers, ex-IRS employees, etc.). Community Tax met all my filters and was BBB A+ rated. I was still skeptical about working with a company out of state (I live in MO). I contacted them and detected excellent customer service immediately on a Saturday! Nick C. handled my intake. He handed me off to John P., a case manager. John promptly returned my calls, was knowledgeable about the products/services Community Tax offered, and kept his word on everything he and Community tax promised. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved. Their price was competitive, and they delivered on a payment plan with the IRS. I have and will continue to recommend Community Tax to everyone!

My wife and I were extremely stressed over the substantial debt we had with the IRS due to financial and health related devastating events in our lives. Our accountant suggested we contact a tax resolution specialist and after reaching out to a few, Community Tax, was by far the most professional and comforting firm we spoke with. We discussed our predicament and I have to say from the initial conversation we had with one of their very knowledgeable and caring agents, we had a sense that the tax burden would be handled. They suggested a number of alternatives for us and we agreed with their recommendations on which path to take, While the process took quite some time and we had fears of completion along the way, we continued to be updated and told not to worry as they would make sure there would be a positive outcome. After being notified of a sudden wage garnishment by the IRS, I knew I had little time to get to the bottom of it before I was sucked dry. I have always been skeptical of on line help requiring the most personal of information but I HAD to make a choice. I spent a good while comparing different firms and at this point I feel like I made the correct decision. I called Community Tax and was answered by a gentleman named Charlie H who understood my skepticism and assured me, on many different fronts, he understood and would help me through this entire process. I was then introduced to my practitioner Paul G who had Charlie's same cool, calm attitude, easing my anxiety and explaining things concisely, in a way my simple mind can handle. Both assured me they would do everything they could to help me out including expediting my case because of its impending doom! Within a week, a three month stop has been put on any garnishment. This was facilitated by Greg L who went above and beyond to be sure all based were covered before initiating the stop. As a carpenter, I always measure twice and cut once. Although I'm not finished (not even close) with my tax woes, I certainly feel quite comfortable with Community Tax and will continue to seek their guidance to get all this behind me.

All practitioners are not created equal! Community Tax gets my FOUR-STAR rating for doing pretty much what my husband and I hired them to do: provide professional guidance, and allow us time to breathe, focus, regroup, and relaunch to meet the MONUMENTAL task of resolving our corporate and personal tax issues. There were periods of frustration, as some of the prior practicioners assigned to our case seemed somewhat distant, distracted, or detached. Not so with our most recent Community Tax practicioner, Jennifer B!! She gets my FIVE-STAR-plus rating!!!!! Jenn made the ongoing ordeal MUCH more bearable! She was attentive and astute, engaging and enlightening, patient, personable, polite, proactive AND professional! Before employing Community Tax, we entrusted most of our corporate and personal tax work to local, sole-proprietor preparers. As small business owners, we delighted in using the services of fellow, local professionals. However, one or two "dropped balls" helped propel us into our tax abyss. We were completely unprepared and overwhelmed! Community Tax's involvement allowed my husband and I the EXTENSIVE time we needed to attend to other personal and business matters, while back-tracking to address a MULTITUDE of UNPLEASANT IRS NOTIFICATIONS! Jenn B managed to RESTORE some of my dwindling TRUST in the "experts" we hired to assist us. I'll close with one of the things that most impressed me about Jenn: A recent corporate-related letter from the IRS mentioned receiving correspondence about which I was unaware. I asked Jenn, in a pre-scheduled phone session, if she could verify what correspondence the IRS was referring to. I was expecting an answer in a future session. However, while still in the current session she sent me an "e-doc" to sign and return, to authorize her access to the IRS correspondence in question. Our session ended with her saying she'd get back to me, shortly. " SHORTLY" came less than TEN MINUTES later!! In that short amount of time she had phoned and spoken DIRECTLY TO an IRS REP!! Have you ever been on hold for FOREVER, waiting to accomplish this feat!!? Yes! I was totally IMPRESSED! Yes, I told her so!! And yes, should any new "drama" arise (Lord, forbid!) with THE IRS, I plan to contact COMMUNITY TAX, and ASK FOR JENNIFER B, Esquire from the outset! Jenn, THANK YOU for doing what you do with excellence and grace. "Many are called. Few are chosen".

Do not fall for this company.they bring you in with a nice line saying how much they can help and all the contacts they have at the IRS and how they can get you the best deal and how their team will be in touch with you making sure that you have the best information to help your case in the end there is lack of communication they’re making final decisions without your consent or consideration and you actually end up paying more with the fees that are added on. In my opinion it’s best to do this on your own and skip the added fees charged by community tax. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone I know. If you have not signed a contract with them I suggest you do it yourself
