Thank you for your feedback! If you have any specific maintenance questions, please give us or your installer a call, but in general your system should be very low-maintenance. The main action you'd need to take would be to make sure the panels are kept clean. There are many great local panel cleaning services that should be able to take care of this for you at minimal cost.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service request that I submitted via phone more than two weeks ago. My inverter stopped working. I was assigned a case number. I have been calling every few days and the current status is the case is waiting for someone in Sum Power to approve before they can schedule an onsite inspection. I am missing solar generation for more than two weeks. Waiting for more than 2 weeks to get a service request approve is not customer focus.

The installation process was great! My sales rep and project manager were very helpful and available. The customer service care since then SUCKI!! I had to make a claim for a roof leak over 3 weeks ago, and have camped out on the CS line for hours trying to get help!

Escrow for my house that I’m selling is being held hostage by this company simply because they want the loan paid off instead of transferring the loan over to the new buyers. If you want solar and you need financing from this company, good luck selling your house. It’s been 22 days and they are still running the credit check for the buyers which is rubbish! Customer care will pretty much tell you to go kick rocks instead of let me see how we can help.

I would not recommend going with Sunpower or Sun run and there is a couple other names that they run under. They took three months to put up solar panels when they said it would take two days. I had to miss a lot of days of work because I had to be home for them And all the damages they’ve done to the roof and the gutters. I tried to repair them and they will not come out here and repair anything. Please think about the companies you’re going with Sunpower is definitely not the one you want and if you did, I’m so sorry. Good luck .

I have the panels..hey I just to say it's been a nightmare..they over charge on these 25 yrs lease...they have unqualified folks working on installation they contracted my work with a company called hooked on phonics .. Took for ever for install then Installers left trash all over. Worked for a while then the system went down and it’s been 11 months and counting. My “production guarantee” won’t be paid until the system is fixed so they keep billing me for a system that dosnt work and no lead time on repairs I now have double the electric bill because I’m paying the power company and SunPower

I had a permitting issue that came up during install and sunpower denied my plans, my rep Jared L took it upon himself to resolves said permit issues and sunpower installed solar( so in theory those issues had to be resolved in order to move forward) come almost a year later I am getting letters from the city saying permits were never approved. my rep also scammed me out of $1000 visa rebate card. sunpower just tries to outlast customer complaints untill you get tired of getting nowhere. Never trust Jard L or any sunpower rep! Crooks! Liars! Dishonest!

SunPower Installed panels on my home late 2016...overall, I have been pleased, but repeated failed Inverters have become a big problem, as I cannot get them serviced from any local SunPower dealer, or the Company themselves. I ve had an Issue going on since August 2023, and resolution is nowhere in sight. Repeated promises for looking into my Issue &a phone callfrom both Boss Energy in Charleston SC, and Sunpower themselves go Unanswered! the telephone only seems to work one way. I would NOT recommend SunPower to anyone, as the service after the sale is apparently non existent

I would not recommend Sunpower, we live in an HOA and they did not read the form and provided incomplete information, and no follow up or advisement on the progress. We had to inform Sunpower that the local utility had approved the work. We have decided to go in a different direction. If they can not provide a complete HOA Permit Form with backup documentation then going forward will repeat this trend. Although there are good reviews below, this review is our experience.

My solar system is installed and approved by city inspector and utility company. Sunpower has FAILED to activate my system. The delay now is one month. Sunpower provides no explanation, no estimate of when the system will be activated. TERRIBLE customer service. Improper installation has left our roof with at least approximately 8 + leaks. SunPower came out and moved the panels around because the hold down screws came through the roof and leaked. They filled the holes with silicone expecting to stop the leaks. They said they wouldn't know if that would work until it rained and to get back to them if the problem continued. We have been contacting them for the last 4 months without a response. I'm told by a roofing contractor that the panels have to come off and the roof repaired before the panels can be reinstalled. Started off great, but unfortunately still dealing with an installation issue 8 months later. Freedom Solar, the installation partner, installed our panels too low for our flood zone. I’ve spent over $130k and countless hours trying to get Freedom out to move the panels so we can pass inspection. The city inspector literally stops by once a week and I just can’t get anyone at Freedom to resolve this. I wish SunPower would live into the seamless service they promised. Dozens of calls and tickets that just circle. So frustrating

This was my worst decision. Ever. From day 1 of install until now I have had nothing but problems with every aspect of this company. The customer support is horrible, the system goes down regularly and takes months to fix. It takes weeks just to get a response from anybody after leaving multiple messages. If I had one chance to go back in time I would use it to stop myself from buying this system.

My system has been offline since May. It took several weeks to get it serviced. At the end of June they determined my inverter needed to be replaced. In October I was told the inverter was still on back order and I was given the option to have it repaired. I was told that would be quicker. It is now December, still nothing. You can’t speak with a manager. No one will call you back. This is the worst company I have ever done business with. Find another company if you want to go solar.

After working at some length with the SP's sales agent we agreed to a roof layout, # of panels and price. Signed contract. SP had an aerial view of the roof and SP conducted a site survey. Later found that SP had submitted permit with the utility with different roof layout. Few weeks later SP said we needed to sign an addendum for an additional $25,600 "because of our type of roof". No detail has been provided for the increase. Several questions have been ignored. No installation to date--bad experience.

Terrible system with underproduction for last 10 years. I have another 15 years old system that works better. Even worse is customer service. Anytime they come to service your system, they wipe off data and claim that they don’t have information. They are supposed to monitor system.System is non functioning for last 13 months and still they can’t replace an inverter. Yes, this is happening HERE IN AMERICA from a company claims to be all AMERICAN. I guess it’s just because I have fully prepaid lease. You can’t go wrong by getting solar system from any company but SunPower.

I started down the path with SunPower in August 2022. It's now Sept 2023 and I'm still waiting for the panels to be "tested" so I may use them. My local electric company, ComEd, has given me permission to use, however SunPower still tells me I'm in the testing phase. The slowness and lazy attitude shown be nearly everyone in the company is tiresome. Their responses are scripted verbiage each time...no new info can ever be obtained. They have now started to bill me prematurely, which is another headache. So now I'm paying ComEd and SunPower. I would not recommend SunPower to anyone!

It’s been over 2 months since I last contacted them and I still haven’t received a response. I’ve consistently called Sunpower and emailed support for an update since the beginning of July and still haven’t gotten the new system. We lost the solar system and had to pay high electric bills this summer. This is incredibly disappointing and professional.

SunPower in Palm Springs is incompetent and don't understand how they are in business. After contacting them 2 months ago regarding my panel reads "error" and solar panels have been useless they still have not come out to fix. I get the runaround stating they've submitted the work order but needs to be approved? I would highly not recommend this company to anyone. Worst customer service ever!

I started my project 1 year ago and the sun power haven't finalize it. They put solar panels on the garage roof without checking first is it permitted or not. Now when city declined to give permits they just stop responding to my emails and calls.They never keep any promizes the gave to me. Do not overpay to this company for the fake reputation. They didn't even close the trench and put back pavers they removed 1 year ago. Isn't this redicioulus. I was financed $36k for 17 panels and they are laying on my roof without any benefits.
