As far as the performance of our solar system - it was a 10. The downside is working with this company during a life event. We have provided all maintenance to our system at our own cost. We are now in the process of selling our home with the current set up and have received ZERO help. The phone number is AI only. They don't answer emails that we sent long before we even listed our home for sale. Theres no way to get a copy of our solar lease which we never received after digging through all the paperwork/emails provided to us. A total fiasco. We are a few weeks away from closing and the buyer may back out because of this hiccup.

I chose one star only because no stars was not an option. I assumed the lease of solar panels through SunPower and have nothing but headaches ever since. The panels were not working when I assumed the lease and are still broken 9 months later with no fix in sight. I have contacted them time and time again with resolution in sight. They have stopped providing any support other than, call these other solar providers for help. Assuming a solar power lease with sunpower was the worst decision of my life. They charge a 300 dollar fee if you want to refinance your home and delay the process by 30 days to do so. I would sooner shoot myself in the foot before agreeing to sign another lease with them.

If I could rate negative stars I would. I got sold on a solar lease that sounded great but turns out to be complete hassle. Had roof leaks multiple times due to installation issue that sunpower confirmed and stated they would reimburse me for. Was told in April of 2024 to have repairs done. Submitted receipts and was told payment was authorized and would be sent. I never received that $5250. Now I’m being told due to the bankruptcy that I may not receive my payment. We are a single income family of 6 as well as a disabled veteran. This is how they treat their clients. But don’t worry, I still have to pay my lease payments. For what, they don’t keep up on their end of the deal why should I. Complete scam. I wish I could tear this system off my house. I probably still won’t get an answer on my Payment after this review.

9/9/24-When I took over lease buying my house it started outworking well, Then 7/23 it stopped working and customer service is a joke. Finally after several calls 11/23 they came and fixed part of panels and 1 box works. Told need more invertors and 2/24 they came out and said you need more invertors and that is already what I was waiting for since 7/23. Told 3 weeks they would come in and now still waiting phone call after phone call. I hold I get disconnect and still paying $450 electric bills with no one fixing my panels now over a year. Now I call and the hold is the bankruptcy has everything on hold. One year and two months later, no help at all from SunPower. Worthless company for sure, do not use them. BMedina.

My experience has been horrible! Everything got screwed up starting with the installation process all the way to not getting what I was promised. I told them I wanted a system that would cover my monthly electric bill. So they went over all the electrical paperwork then recommended how many panels I would need to cover my monthly bill. So I said okay and agreed to get the system that they recommended bc I trusted their professionals but the system I have isn’t enough to cover my bill. So I called bc I was promised that it would cover my bill or they would cover the difference but they aren’t doing that. The only person that did anything right was the owner Chad. He was wonderful and did everything he could to make things right but so many things were wrong that it was impossible. I’ve left so many messages with customer service and I never receive a call back. Now I receive an email saying that they filed bankruptcy so all of the warranties that I was expecting to get me through all the years now doesn’t exist. Now I have system that if it breaks down I’m screwed bc I don’t have a company that will honor my warranty. So the reasons that made me purchase the system no longer exist. So I’m left on my own to figure things out but still paying a company that no longer will be honoring our contract.

It almost never works consistently. I have to check the app every day to make sure the panels are working. If I’m not diligent then power is being taken from the grid and I am losing money. The panels costed $10,000 and don’t work consistently. The help center is most likely in the Philippines. When customer service determined that a techinican would have to come look at the issue in person, the email said that they have frozen all work orders because of issues with their contractors. The company has also filed bankruptcy and is looking to be bought in the summer of 2024. This entire thing might be a scam.

Solar system is not the least expensive in the market but decided to go with them because of recommendations by friends and colleagues. All was good for 1.5 years, and now, one of my panels is not working. It has been a month since a case was open and have yet to receive a call from a technician. Customer Service is a joke and do not help. Great at the beginning, but once you have an issue, they do not care to fix your problems. Losing $$ by not having the solar panel generating.

The SunPower installation in September 2022 "appeared" to go well, but in early 2024, discovered we had roof leaks caused by the SunPower installation (this was confirmed by SunPower technicians too). This resulted in more than $12,000 of repair work, which Timitria Thompson assured would be reimbursed by SunPower when completed. Work was completed early August and receipts submitted to Timitria at SunPower. She responded that they would be reimbursed. Subsequently, the bankruptcy was announced and now I am not able to get ahold of anyone to confirm payment will be made. This is ridiculous.

If I can rate 0 or negative I would! We have panels owned and panels leased. The panels we owned have not been working since April and we have been constantly calling and have escalated but no resolution. I was told they would call to follow up but they never do. I have asked for them to call but they would email instead just to say they have no update. We are now getting notification that our electric bill is way higher than normal. So on top of paying for the solar panel we have we now incurring electricity charges. We live I. IL and summer days most important so w exam save as much solar as we can for fall and winter and yet it’s summer and we end up paying g already. Worst company ever

I have been trying to get in touch with someone about billing and get put on hold from their automated answering system before they just hang up on me. They seem to have shut off my autopay, however, the money was taken out of my account on August 1st. I tried to set up a new account as instructed in a letter I received about changing their billing app, but it will not accept my information. The customer service has been awful since day 1, and it hasn't gotten any better. I took over the lease of the solar panels when I purchased my home last year. If I knew how bad the service would be, I would have never done that.

I do not recommend Solar Power. Their customer service is aweful. We were sent to the wrong department several times and the solution to our issue was always different every time we called. We are attempting to transfer our solar to the new homebuyers and told us it can take 60 days to do so. It took them 1 month to send all the correct documents and to send to the correct department. We are now on the verge of losing the sale of the home due to Solar Power. Along with that, they are jeapardizing the purchase of our new home because of this delay. If you plan to sell your home, it is a nightmare to transfer the solar over to the new homeowners. I would not recommend.

Here's a revised version of your review: --- I am currently a Realtor representing the buy side in a transaction where the sellers have a PPA with SunPower. The experience has been incredibly frustrating. SunPower has been extremely hard to get a hold of, and no one can provide a definitive timeline or even a manager's contact or name. Both the Escrow company and the sellers, buyers, and their representatives have struggled to get through. The customer service representative who spoke to my buyer was very rude and disrespectful. This is no way to conduct business. It has been 7 weeks, and we still have no resolution. How can a real estate transaction take place with such extended and uncalled-for delays? Families are unable to move on with everything being on hold. There has been no proper communication or emails from SunPower. Their behavior is very unprofessional and unhelpful. My buyers are significantly burdened, having to commute from San Diego to Temecula four times daily because the transfer isn't complete. School starts in a week, and this situation has caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. I do not recommend SunPower based on this experience!!

Made inaccurate statements and kept changing their responses after calling them out on it. Made promises that did not appear in the agreement. Eventually, they went out of business and did not tell me. When I reached out asking about delays they shared they are "not taking any new leases", even though my agreement was signed prior to this announcement. They began searching for other companies that are under SunPower to pass the project on to, but without the benefits promised with SunPower, one of them being a company they spoke negatively about and encouraged me not to go with. Going out of business for a reason, over promise, under deliver, bold faced lies. Dodged a seriously terrible situation with them going out of business when they did.

poor, poor customer service. signed up in December 2024 now August 2024 and not hooked up yet. Constant delay's no contacts with state consumer affairs or their own engineers to ok the project. Finally got the system installed in May but Failed inspection in July because of paperwork not finished correctly. Was told it would be taken care of next week, two weeks now no calls or emails and they won,t answer the phone to let us know wha'ts going on. PGE just let us know today that it will be 30 days for ok from the solar company to turn us on , so we save NO money this summer on our electric bill when it is so high. Why did we go solar, sure don't need the aggavation

My system has been half down due to a failed inverter for over 3 1/2 months now. My electric bill has soared over $1000 and I can't get anyone to fix my system. Rather than sending someone out to diagnose my system, Sunpower had me, the homeowner, do all the troubleshooting for them. They refused to send a tech out prior to declaring bankruptcy, stalling me on the repair for more than a month before flat out stating they had no one to send. Then they closed my case without asking or taking any action to remedy my situation. Now I reopen the case every time they close it, which is roughly once a week.

I have been extremely dissatisfied with this company. My husband called the company back in January 2024 to inform them that 7 out of our 20 solar panels were not working. They told us they would put an order in for the parts and once the parts came in they would contact us to schedule an appointment for someone to come out and repair them. It is now July and the issue has still not been remedied. We have called them every month since to get an update and try and figure out what the hold up is. We continue to get the same run around that either the order was put in wrong, the parts aren’t ready, they are waiting on the other company to schedule a date but it doesn’t actually seem that anyone knows anything. They have not been proactive about contacting us, we have always had to be the ones to reach out to them which involves long wait times with little to no new information. It has been extremely frustrating and if I could do it all over again I would choose a different company.

I originally signed an agreement in nov 2023. After receiving many excuses for the delay, panels were installed on 6/28. Was told I would be contacted within a week to complete setup. As of 7/23 I’ve reached out to installer (js industries llc) 4 times. They’ve not answered calls or responded to message sent. I was given installers contact information by Sunpower support along with a Sunpower email address should I require additional help. When I sent an email to Sunpower requesting assistance, I received an automated response that the address was not monitored. My project manager represents energypal an authorized Sunpower distributor. I will update this review if the situation improves.

I honestly think I got shafted leasing the solar panels. It has doubled my electric bill. Just think, during the day, I go to work and do not turn anything on. Panels generate me a bill/invoice and I got no benefit. Then I come home in the late afternoon and turn on computer to do reports, lights as needed and lo and behold, the sun goes down and I pay Edison. I am double billed. Then on top of that, here it is on a sunny weekend day, I have no A/C on, no pool motor and the meter arrow shows it is going to the right and that means I am still paying Edison even though I have 21 panels on my roof! How in God's green earth! Are these panels supposed to generate 100 watts, I am billed for 100 watts for each panel but they only generate 15 watts or something? I am on my 3rd inverter. I believe as none of the equipment installed seems to be decent operating material. Please check account #100025868493. General piece of trash scheme that I fell for.

I am extremely disappointed with Sunpower’s service and handling of the issues related to the installation of solar panels on my tile roof. Nearly 18 months ago, Sunpower installed the system on my house, and since then, it has been nothing but a nightmare. The installation was poorly executed, resulting in significant leaks into my roof. This has caused extensive damage to my property, and despite numerous attempts to get Sunpower to address these issues, they have consistently failed to provide a satisfactory resolution. Right after installation, I have made countless calls and sent numerous emails, only to be met with delays, excuses, and a general lack of urgency. Sunpower’s customer service has been negligent at best, displaying a complete disregard for the severity of the situation and the impact it has had on my home and family. Their technicians have come out multiple times, but the problem persists, suggesting either a lack of competence or a lack of concern for their customers. The leaks have not only damaged the roof but also caused internal damage to my house, leading to additional repair costs and stress. It is unacceptable for a company of Sunpower’s stature to handle such serious issues with such negligence. I trusted Sunpower to provide a reliable and professional service, but they have failed miserably. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere and avoid the prolonged headache and financial burden that I have experienced. In summary, Sunpower has demonstrated a complete lack of accountability and professionalism. Their inability to resolve the issues caused by their poor installation has been both frustrating and costly. I hope this review serves as a warning to others and prompts Sunpower to take their customers’ concerns more seriously in the future.

I have been working with SunPower for 200 days, and I am still not connected to the power grid. Despite numerous attempts to get answers from corporate, no one is responding to me. I was informed that my installation was passed down to their "trusted" installer after the company laid off all their crew. This is beyond disappointing. It's the middle of summer, and my panels are installed, but instead of harvesting energy during the peak season, I am left fighting to get someone to acknowledge my request and complete my installation. Emails and calls lead nowhere, leaving me with no choice but to contact SunPower through all social media channels and review sites. They promised to cut my $500 electrical bill to $200, and I hope they honor this commitment and reimburse me for my costs. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I would not recommend SunPower to anyone based on my ordeal.

The service for repairs is really bad, Mico inverters are breaking down often and for a replacement you have to wait 3 months or more. This time they made an appointment between 8 and 10 and around 11 I had to call them with the question when are you? Around 12:30 I got the message appointment cancelled we are coming the next day between 8 and 10 just before 10 I got the call appointment cancelled we are coming next week, let's see if they are showing up not much hope in the service company out of Orlando Florida.

I have no idea how this company as so many great reviews. We signed a lease, which had a guarantee for the amount of solar they will produce for our house. Our panels died within last year and we were basically told we need to fix them and keep paying the lease payment. Apparently, we were supposed to go down to the local SunPower parts shop and fix the panels ourselves. We fought with them for months to get a tech out to fix it. Finally we stopped payment on the panels, since we were paying for nothing while also paying the original electric bill during a summer in Arizona. The tech finally came out after waiting 6 months and said the PV5 was no longer communicating/working with their system so they had to change it out for a PV6. Once it was swapped out, IT STARTING WORKING! IMAGINE! We started paying on the bill and received a final debt collection notice. We paid the missing months because we were tired of dancing around even though we paid for nonworking panels just to move forward. Nope, according to the last invoice, they have received no payments, even though their sorry website says we all the payments owed to them. We've spoken to over a dozen "representatives" and they are all clueless. They keep asking for money even though our bill should be 0 until the following month. Would never recommend this guys to anyone.

Recently bought new home in jan2024 and it's been 5 months my solar system is not activated yet. First sunpower team didn't submit the paperwork to Smud later I found with Smud there is no paperwork from sunpower.. After doing everything once everything was ready to go then sunpower team just sending us emails with instructions how to activate solar system by our self instead of sending their team member to activate it. After first e-mail they reply after a month later and then same lame excuses like we did try online but unfortunately didn't work out so again received same e-mail how to activate by our self... Really disappointed, non professional and 3rd class service from sunpower.

This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. No call backs! No email replies! It's like they have my money and now I'm forgotten! I had my panels removed by the sub contractor they sent out for a new roof replacement. Now the roof work has been completed almost a year now and I still can't get my panels replaced back up on my roof. Called and getting nowhere! Then they are switching sub contractors three different companies and can't get any answers. I got dates for installation but I got NO shows and NO calls! I can't keep taking off from work for this! I'm am missing out on any benefits I am supposed to get with solar! I feel that I'm wasting my money!

The saleman recommended I lease the system in the event the system needed parts/repair it would be the responsibility of the leasing company. Sounds good to me!! During early 2023 I experienced some minor issues but it wasn't until October 2023 that I had a major issue. The Green Convergence techs that were on the phone with Sun Power finally advisedd me that one of my inverters required a "new brain". It is now May 2024 and after multiple emails (documented) prmising me the parts were on order (a lie) they finally came clean and said the parts are no longer available. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! WHAT KING OF WARRANTY IS THAT??? Now I will admit the red light has not come back on but when and if it does, what are my options. YOU GUESSED IT AND i WILL NOT LET IT GO!!! You talk about bad faith. I would never receommend this company to anyone. BEWARE OF THEIR WARRANTY.

An unbelievable travesty of a solar company. Whatever credibility they once had is now gone. I've been trying to get them to correct a botched installation that resulted in the doubling of my power bills for 7 months. DOUBLING OF MY BILLS. They said it was due to the fact that it was winter, but it was actually due to the fact that they put the sensor wires in backwards and doubled around! So they've come out and done something, but their own systems clearly show that it still isn't working, and they are refusing to refund our overbilling to the tune of thousands of dollars "until the system is completely repaired." But since they closed their residential installation division 2 weeks ago, it's unclear who will support our more than $33,000 system going forward. The minute you pay them they want nothing to do with you, so my recommendation is DO NOT PAY your final bill until you've had a few good power bills from your power company and are absolutely certain the system is working. I mean, this is on top of them taking more than a month to remember to hook up our system, forgetting to include the solar regulator, and rushing the installation so badly that they left trash all over our yard every time they came out. Worse than one star.

A lot seems to have happened to this company because they are NOT worth even one star. We have been waiting for them to comply with PG&Es requirements for over 6 weeks. We've had four different project coordinators and none have managed to complete the work. The company does not respond to messages or calls except to say they will get in touch soon. Don't hold your breath because it won't happen. So far we have paid them $48,400 and had to hire arborists to remove trees at an additional cost of $1,950. Their installers had a very different approach to the location of batteries, the hub, etc., than their alleged designers. We now have two huge batteries next to our front door and no sign of the company even trying to make the changes that PG&E requires.

By far the worst company I have ever worked with. Do not use them. They will be professional up until installation, after installation if you need anything you are not able to be helped. I have had a leaking roof for 6 months due to their installation and they refuse to help me. They will not answer emails of phone calls, its just a never ending cycle of me trying to get help and resolution and they say the only person that can help is this Suzie however she is never in the office and if she does feel like responding she give you 24 hours to respond to her again or she closes ticket you and you restart. Worst company and this is by far causing my family to be scared of a roof cave in with no regard from this company!

It’s been absurd that my project has been delayed many times, and nobody is even on top of my project. My project started in October 2023, and yet today is March 26th, I’ve been waiting for more than half a year, it still hasn’t been accomplished yet. What’s worst, we failed the building department Inspection. The Sunpower guy didn’t even try to fix it and left in the middle of the process, and it’s been seven days I’ve never heard back from them again . It’s been a very stressful process. I have to try to contact them a few times a week just so I can get a hold of someone on top of my project, otherwise it’s being ignored. I’m investing $50,000 cash in the solar panel project, expecting it to be reliable and giving me a long-term benefit. Now I’m not sure with this type of irresponsible service, how much I can expect in the future. I suggest people to look elsewhere, I do not recommend Sunpower.

SunPower is unresponsive several times with my experience. I actually had to report them to the BBB for lack of communication and response. First, when they installed the solar panels, I had my home inspection that failed, and they needed to come back. Not a big deal, but they took forever to comeback, and I had to hound them to come back out and they had forgot the issues that needed corrected and took 3 visits to get it correct. Second, when I had a roof leak they did not respond for weeks and then it turned to months before I heard from them. I had to get my own contractor and fix the leak myself. I plan on selling my home and getting solar again and will not be using SunPower due to their lack of customer service. Also, my co-worker used SunPower and had a similar experience as I did. You can have a great product, but if you can respond or fix issues in a timely manner then the product doesn't matter.

I actually purchased solar panels from this company about 12 or 13 years ago and I was very happy I did so they worked as expected and the company was a pleasure to work with, in fact so much so that I had 5 of my friends contact them, all of which purchased their own. Sadly this all changed with the company a couple of years ago. My unit was no longer producing the power it should. I contacted SunPower and almost a year later they resolved the problem. Yes I said that right almost a year. But that isn't even the worse of it, their technician who replaced the faulty unit created a problem with the electrical that caused the main breaker on my house to burn out. At the time I did not realize that, plus it was in the middle of summer here in Arizona, 100 plus degrees. The electrician that did fix the problem had to disconnect the solar panels to do so. This cost me over $1000, which I have been trying to collect for over 6 months now. The company just flat out refuses to work with you. They haven't denied it, which they can't, but they haven't reimbursed me either. Sadly I have spoken with two others that purchased the solar panels which have had problems to where they are unwilling to work with them as well. This company has gone, at least to me, as gone from a good customer service company to an extremely poor one. At this point if you are looking for solar panels, which I believe are a good investment, I would definitely look elsewhere.

I hired Blue Raven to install solar panels for me because the salesman promised a lot. They did not deliver on the sales promises. The system took forever to install like over 6 months. We missed the entire summer of solar production. During the delays, I was promised that I would be financially compensated for lost solar production, then when the project was complete, they decided to not do that. I had to personally manage the subcontractors that Blue Raven hired. This took weeks of scheduling, emailing, and phone calling. I had to manage the city inspections myself. And I was sent bills for the subcontracted work that was supposed to be covered in the Blue Raven contract. One of the main reasons we hired Blue Raven was because they promised to handle everything. They did not do that. Once the project was complete, we realized that they did not even install what they promised. I emailed and called them multiple times with these complaints. They mostly ignored my emails and did call me back. I would have to call 4-5 times to get 1 response. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Hi Mike, We cannot guarantee anything outside of the written agreement you signed. To ensure you were aware of this, it is addressed within your contract and was also mentioned in your introduction call, which was recorded on 3/2/23.

Before installing the solar system, your home required a new roof, an upgraded main panel, and structural upgrades to the rafters to support solar panels. Much of this additional work was beyond Blue Raven Solar's control due to the scope of work. Moreover, because of the required work, Blue Raven Solar was unable to present, leading the contractors to contact you directly to schedule the work. It should be noted that while we request all contractors to direct payments to us, we cannot guarantee that they will fulfill that request.

While Blue Raven Solar does not guarantee a timeframe in which a solar project will be installed, our primary goal is to ensure they are completed before customers have to pay for them. In your case, the project was completed over two months before you had to make any payments, which is why no additional compensation was provided. It has been confirmed that Blue Raven Solar did install everything as outlined in your agreement, and although it is not guaranteed that customers can monitor their usage, Blue Raven Solar has reached out to you directly to explore the possibility of installing a consumption meter. I regret to say that my experience with SunPower Solar has been deeply frustrating and disappointing. I've been facing ongoing issues since July 2023, and their customer service has been abysmal, to say the least. In July, my solar service unexpectedly went offline. I promptly reached out to them, expecting a swift and professional response. Unfortunately, my concern seemed to fall on deaf ears. Despite my efforts to communicate the severity of the issue, there was no follow-through on their end. Hoping for a better response, I reached out again in August. Once more, I was met with promises - assurances that someone would be sent to address the problem. Yet, these promises turned out to be empty. No one showed up, and my system remained in limbo. What’s more frustrating is that they assured me my system was still generating power, which was difficult to believe given the circumstances. By December, with the issue still unresolved, I spoke with a representative named Brandon. The level of service did not improve. Brandon was unable to confirm whether my system was operational or not. He had me reset the system and assured me he would follow up the next day. That follow-up never came. This entire saga has not only caused inconvenience but also led to a lack of trust in their service and commitments. The lack of accountability and responsiveness is appalling. I've been patient and understanding, but the situation has gone from bad to worse with no resolution in sight. To anyone considering SunPower Solar of El Cohn, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. The lack of reliable customer service and the inability to deliver on their promises has been a source of immense frustration. A solar energy provider should be dependable and responsive, especially when issues arise, and unfortunately, this company falls significantly short on both counts.

Total scam! Few things to be careful with Sunpower & their contracts. I chose to lease my solar panels, was told that if I did automatic payments I will get a discount. Never received the discount & always got the run around on getting it fixed. Now that i'm selling my house, I asked for a release of contract & payoff since the new home buyers want to buy the solar panels. I was given a quote at the beginning of escrow, and now that i'm close to closing. They came back & said they made a mistake & are charging a 4k difference from the original amount. Asked SunPower for documentation on how that came about. Devon, the manager said, the representative that originally gave us the buyoff quote does not know what they are doing, and eventhough it was a mistake on their behalf. They will not honor the original buyoff quote. I asked for documentation on what was left to payoff & the manager said they do not know how they came up with their own numbers, but thats what it was. Be careful folks! SunPower apparently does not even have traceability of their own documentation.

We installed SunPower solar panels on our home in 2018. In September, 2023, I realized that 3 inverters are no longer working and I reported that to SunPower. I have been calling them weekly since then to try to get the warranty replacement done but SunPower keeps telling me different reasons why the repair cannot be completed. First they did not have a contractor in my area and now they're telling me they don't have the parts yet and it may be one or two months more before they receive them. I was told earlier that they did have the parts and were trying to find a local contractor to do the work. I've spoken with multiple customer service agents and today I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told the supervisor did not want to talk to me. If I had known this is how they treat their customers I never would have purchased their product. If you're reading this review (and there are others like mine) - do not purchase your solar panels from SunPower. They do not take care of their customers.

This company has the worst customer service. Their panels had not been working for who knows how long and they failed to notify me when I contacted them I find out their system that as supposed be monitoring hasn’t been working for a long time. They still haven’t replaced the part and I had to pay over 4K in electricity I have called and they never have an update the last person I spoke with “Jessica” said she can’t help because the person that knows my case is off and when I asked to speak with a supervisor she was bothered and put me on hold them comes back and said her supervisor Liz did not want to speak with me because “there’s nothing we can do”. I told her that was unacceptable and she said that she and her supervisor were only going to tell me the same thing. I would not walk but run from making business with this company. I didn’t even chose them the lease came when I bought my house I wish I would’ve had the opportunity to find a better company.

Customer service with SunPower is one of the worst I’ve ever had to deal with. I’ve been assigned a coordinator that hasn’t responded to 5 emails requesting a status on my outgoing outage. When I call the customer support line they aren’t aware of what the repair tech did on his visit on 10-13. That’s when he removed and inspected 13 panels and declared they are beyond repair and must be replaced. He also removed the trunk wires for the panels and Disconnected the entire system. I’ve heard not a word from SunPower about replacement etc. It was very frustrating this morning when customer support said they don’t see anything in the case notes. The case number is 03228248. And the coordinator who doesn’t respond is a Sandra Casanova My problem has been going on since February of 2023. That’s over 8 months. Solar power is great just hope and pray you never have any problems.

I got solar panels installed in May and There has been a faulty panel that has been up there ever since. It has taken multiple visits for technicians to diagnose and the problem still has not been resolved. The warranty does not discuss how quickly something is supposed to be fixed. When you get solar, you are responsible for the performance of your own system so be aware that in that regard it's another headache vs just being connected to the utility. Sunpower does not make it easier. It's not the installers fault in this case. Sunpower just won't approve the repair and replacement. Furthermore, the problem was pretty obvious that the panel was underperforming and for some reason this has taken months to escalate with me having to push the ball forward. If I hadn't reached out and continued to reach out the problem still wouldn't have been looked at. To this day, the panel has not been replaced. With all the technicians they sent out, it would've been more cost effective to have replaced the panel by now.
