Smart Wave exceeded all of our expectations during the design and installation of our system. Our experience began with Smart Wave’s sales rep. Dan’s honesty and transparency during the proposal process. Next was their well structured, project management approach used on their projects. What impressed us the most was the outstanding communication and quick response by Smart Wave’s Project Coordinator, Darcy, throughout the job. On our job, she was able to reach back to the rest of their team and get questions and actions resolved quickly. Other things that impressed us were their competitive pricing, use of premium components in their systems, good documentation, warranties and outstanding value. And we like the fact that we can monitor and record the output of each of our solar panels online.

With all of the different steps involved in putting a solar system on the roof of your house, you would expect a few issues to come up. We had 2. They were resolved almost instantaneously. Analee was our project manager, and she handled every step beautifully. This was a 4 month process, but it felt like much less. Not a scrap left in our yard from the panel installation. Almost daily emails to update us on the progress, and the next step. We even got to throw the switch ourselves, after the new meter was hooked up by the power company. The end result: A fixed electric bill for the rest of our lives. Also, constant monitoring by Smart Wave, to stay on top of any possible issues. From sales, to management, to technicians, this is a first class operation.

I did some research and the panels had a longer life than others. That way I don't have to worry about changing them. The system is still pretty expensive, but I like the ability to get solar power plus we also got a battery as part of the deal. Also, you guys are the only ones in our state that allowed power to be taken from the solar panels when the grid was down, that was something I really wanted. I really liked the sales guy. He was not high pressure and just told us all the stats and let me decide. I'm a mechanical engineer, so I appreciated that and he did a good job of answering my technical questions. The project manager kept track of everything for me and helped us get the app going. So all the way through from beginning to end she told me exactly what's going on, and it was very nice. It took just a couple of days to install. They did a nice job and I think the quality was good. They made one drill wrong but they fixed it with really good quality. I checked it out and I'm very pleased with the installation process and the speed.

I analyzed four companies and five options and they came out on top. Smart Wave Solar has reasonable installation rate. They worked with me as I analyzed my needs and helped to tailor the system for my needs. They did not oversell me on the house battery option. The materials are high quality. The installation was efficient and they were prompt in supporting any issues I had. Warrantee is solid.

Every time there has been a hiccup or problem, they have just been wonderful to work with. They've been very easy to get a hold of and they have been wonderful in returning calls. We actually had a problem that was unforeseen. We recently had a new roof put in and when the workers were installing it, they kind of wrecked parts of it, but then they replaced it for us. They were wonderful. I don't really have anything to compare the system to, but I feel like we are getting pretty darn good returns as far as energy being produced.

The quality is very good. I've had no issues with it. I chose them because they provided the best value (with all the research that I did comparing other companies). Of course, the system is fairly new, so something could pop up later. But as of right now everything seems to be very high quality and work properly. I think the communication was very good. There were just a couple instances where there was a bit of miscommunication, but it was fixed so there's were no issues in the end.

When I have issues, they take care of them rapidly and the actual owner makes sure that things are done right. I'm still waiting to see how the system works, but from what I've experienced so far, it looks like it is doing well. I still need to see whether it reaches the full kilowatt capacity, but that may be due to the position of the sensor. We'll see how things go in the summer. The installation went very well. The workers were polite and cooperative and helped with some things that I needed done on the roof while they were up there. I've already recommended Smart Wave to four people.

Smart Wave wasn’t necessarily the cheapest but we liked the product they offered and all the information they were able to provide. They have been very responsive and quick to get us information. There was a bit of a scheduling sniffy but it was corrected quickly. It took about a day and a half for them to install it. Overall it was really smooth. It seems to be good quality.

In comparison to Blue Raven Solar, they were actually honest. Other companies are dishonest about their prices and what they could do. Smart Wave kept me informed about what was happening every step. The quality seems comparable to other companies. I am satisfied with it. Installation was quick. It only took maybe two days. They didn’t bother us. It was pretty easy.

Initially we went with them because they gave us a two hundred dollar amazon gift card to talk to us. Once we did the appointment and found how affordable it is, it was a no brainer. The price is reasonable for the system. The equipment works properly. They are a really great bunch of people. They are awesome about keeping us informed. I get weekly updates. I've enjoyed a Smart Wave Solar system for years! It's provided my family with safe, reliable power and has been one of the best investments we've ever made. Smart Wave Solar sized our system to offset our consumption 100%, only leaving us with a small connection fee with our utility. All of the rate increases with the power company of the years have had no affect on us, which has made our investment even better. Since our system has been installed we have had absolutely no issues with it. It's required no maintenance and is still producing close to the same amount of power it did when we first turned it on. Our next step is to have Smart Wave Solar install a Tesla Powerwall to our existing system so our home has a complete battery back up solution.

Steve is the greatest most honest person we have ever dealt with. He didn’t have all the answered but was honest that he didn’t know, he politely said he didn’t know, but will find out, & did. We have met with dozens of solar companies and was really disappointed that they would make up some BS story and try and back peddle when confronted about it. We were just looking for honesty. We weren’t even looking to buy solar when we went to a home show, Steve asked my wife about it while I was looking at something else. She asked him one Question, same question we asked all the other solar companies. He directly said “ I don’t know, but let me find out” first time anyone had said that. So my wife dragged me over and we started talking to Steve. He dazzled us with his intellect and honesty. We talked to him for about 45 min and then signed up to have him come and give us the speech at our house. He knows his stuff! He was great. We signed up, he went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with everything before we pulled the trigger to purchase. He walked us through the whole process, did a soft hand off to another rep and before we knew it we had it set! The company as whole was great, but Steve was the guy who made it all happen. Thank you!

The best Ask for Celia and Jayne. We looked at 6 companies and got bids. They work around everything. They coordinate needs. We put a new roof on and the worked with the contractors. We did cash and they gave amazing discounts and worked to make sure everything came through them as required. This is the best, now stay clear of Vivant and Freedom Forever. DANGEROUS. We did not go with them. They force a signed doc to get an onsite inspection and a quote. Their sales people told us things that are not in the contract. We cancelled in 36 hours. 6 months later they are demanding $3,000.00 for items the contract said they would pick up…. All items are in the box’s and new! Stay clear of Vivant and Freedom Forever. When you go with Smart Wave Solar, you have the best by far. Just look at the ratings. They will make anything right! SW/SLC

I can say with confidence Smart Wave Solar is one of those rare companies that are true masters of their industry. They handled every step of the process. As we got further into the project I was taken back by all the coordination needed between power company, inspections, permits, and HOA. But Smart Wave Solar handled it all. It was evident they knew every step. When it came to actually installing the system it happened In a single day. If I had a question Bethany (their contact) responded within hours. If you are in the market for a Solar solution you'll find none better than Smart Wave Solar.

This is the second house, in Heber City Utah, that I had solar panels installed on and the process with Smart Wave was much easier and smoother than the previous home. Our energy consultant, Steve M, was fantastic. This guy knew his stuff, he didn't try to "BS" me and was very low pressure. He didn't try to upsell on anything we didn't need. Since I had been through the process before and learned some lessons I did have some specific requests. Smart Wave accommodated what I had asked for and the quote came out as expected. The only issue we had during the ordering process was more with the financing company but Steve and his team worked tirelessly to get that resolved. That issue was not on Smart Wave Solar and was entirely on the rep with the third party finance company. The install came sooner than I had anticipated. It was about a month from the date we had signed the agreements. The install team was led by Michael who was great. He walked me through what there plans were and informed me upfront that they would likely need to return the next day. They entire install crew was friendly, polite and very good to work with. As mentioned, they did return the next day and finished the job. After the install was completed about another month passed before the system could be turned on. This was to allow time for inspections to take place and a new meter to be installed. This part is outside of Smart Wave's control, but they sent me a message every Monday with what was happening, what they were waiting on and what to expect. I loved that they sent these little emails and text messages just so you wouldn't think you were forgotten and remained informed. The installer for my previous home did not do this and it was a lot of phone calls asking what's next. Once everything was approved, a quick email was sent with instructions on how to power on the system - which was super easy and anyone could do this part. The system came online and we were producing our own electricity. As with anything new, there were a couple small hiccups with the system that Smart Wave worked quickly to get resolved. Overall, the entire process was about 2.5 months. I was blown away that they did it that fast. In my other house it was almost 9 months. This is a good company and I have been impressed with how they operated. Are they perfect - no, but no one is so don't expect perfection. But they will certainly do their absolute best to achieve perfection and keep you happy which is more than most companies will do.
