Sunpower failed / fails to explain why their export to the grid meter shows more than my utility company import to the grid meter. I contacted both CT Atty General & CA Atty General. CT failed to get a reply to my question & referred to CA Atty General. Sunpower failed to respond to either of us. What are they hiding?

in 2017 Horizon Energy Systems installed a solar system on our rooftop from Sunpower (18 modules and 1 Inverter). The inverter has failed twice and, therefore the solar system doesn't work -We have been told we need to remove the old system to install a new one - company doesn't respond - worst $32K I've ever spent.

SunPower owns Blue Raven Solar. Blue Raven Solar resorted to deceptive sales tactics, attempted a bait and switch then threatened legal action when I pushed back. There are plenty of good to great companies in the Solar industry, don't make the same mistake I did and sign with a predatory company.

This company is horrible and not responsive. Spent $55,000 on solar panels and they hooked them up wrong and I’m not getting and advantage in having solar. Called and got nothing from them. Got an email that didn’t answer the issues with my system. DO NOT BUY

After paying extra for SunPower, believing it to be a quality product, we were mislead to think we could monitor the panels individually. Every other company offers this feature. Sun Power does not. It is not worth the extra money if you cannot accurately track the performance of such an expensive system. Buyer beware.

Do go sunpower. I spend $52k on there panels still getting a big bill from psegli . They promised to produce 18000kwph year but only produce 17000kwph/yer . When I asked about the guarantee they said they only guarantee the system not production.

We have been reaching out to sun power every single day to get the system fixed. All they say is scheduler will reach out to you and that has never happened. We didn’t get notified of the system being down and once we found out, we were assigned a person who never showed up. Very poor communication from them and we are very frustrated.

Be careful. The system works great but, I have recently had an issue with my system and getting someone to come fix it has been nothing short of a nightmare. System has been down for a month and still trying to get it running again. Just can't seem to get anyone from Sunpower to take it seriously. Very disappointed

Made an appointment for an estimate. Took a day off of work only to have this company be a no-call no show. Got a "how did we do" survey the next day. Reported to the company they failed to show and got a call that it was due to covid. I call BS. This company isn't about following through.

Terrible company. They do not reply to complaints, leave you on hold for ever. Our system was down, they said it was working and we received a huge invoice from our power company. SunPower has done nothing to resolve the issue.

Terrible customer service. My solar panels came with the house I bought and are still under warranty. I called several times to schedule an appointment to discuss adding a battery storage system. Can't get anyone to call me back. Several phone calls and emails...nothing.

sunpower has not performed any maintenance as promised by the salesman , i am a 74year old disabled senior and have had their system for one year, and it has not perfoemed as promised. they have not been cleaned,and are creating a fire hazard on my roof . we were sold the cleaning,and bird stop if needed.

I had a Sunpower 12 panel system installed in 2016. It was expected to generate 6000 kWh annually. Year 1 was 6500, year 2 was 3500 and year 3 was 2000. Several calls and emails later I am waiting on a technician who is only available in April almost 3 months after. Can someone from SunPower escalate this and help ?

Ever since my system was installed, I have lost connection for three times, nothing has changed in the house, WiFi, internet, IPTV and all. I tried to reach online chat and help hotline, and every time is unsuccessful. If I had a choice, I'd never even consider sunpower. What a hoax!

It is a waste to choose this company and their sales people. The rep came to our house and said he was quoting a larger system then we would need. Apparently, he can't do math based on our electric bills because our lease and electric is about the same as before. Very minimal savings.

I never got to see any product or talk to an installer. After setting up a consultation, they called back a few days later and said we were not good candidates for solar, even though my roof has is sunny all day. I am frustrated that I can’t even get someone out here to tell me why or explain what they think the problem is

Factors like Shading from trees or other obstructions, or the amount of daylight time in your area. Each of our authorized dealer creates their own form of determination. It appears that you were working with Certasun LLC. SunPower is not involved with their determination process and has no visibility to that information. I would advise that you contact your sales representative for more details.

This is the worst solar company, promising our bill would be almost to nothing from the electric company and its not, I'm pay the same or more with the solar panel. Company doesn't honor the contract, neither did they put the correct amount to sustain the usage. Do not use them at all.

After I was talking to signing up I was promised the world. Absolutely nothing. No help from anybody I had to contact the Better Business Bureau just to get a response from your home office once you sign up they leave you high and dry I have been having problems since day one and nobody has addressed it at all

As of right now . I give u 1 star I had to have adverters replaced, a panel replace , The outside module is having issues all within a 2 years . I’m paying for a lease plus full price on my electric bill . The other problem is no one is going to read this . So I wasted 10 minutes in your survey .

Had my panels installed August 2018. Worked well until we had a blizzard and now the system isn't work as it is supposed to. SunPower is warranty won't repair the system. Do not buy this product. It is incapable of handling extreme weather.

Based on the inspection that was conducted on your system, it was determined that the damages were a result of the blizzard. Per the warranty, under Sec.4, Exclusion and Limitations, any conditions exceeding the voltage, wind, and snow load specifications would not be covered. A blizzard would be considered an "act of god" and damages resulting from the blizzard would not be covered under the warranty. Please send me a PM with any additional questions you may have. Very poor customer service . There Customer Service reps are located in the Phillipines. they waste time taking information. They cannot really help the customer. I've tried contacting my sales rep with no luck. They won't allow backup systems so when a grid outage occurs there is not power.

I wish I never dealt with Sunpower. Their dealer went out of business, and never filed my tax paper work. The Sunpower rep told me to seek advice from a tax preparer. So all the tax credits I was promised when signing my contract never happened.

I have 2 bad roof leaks. No one cares about. I just bought my house a year ago . Brand new. They came out repaired the leak. After that no one called nor came by to check on it again. Also no one repaired the damage done in the inside due to the roof leak.
