We had a long 4 day blackout and our solar battery unit was not able to keep a charge. Our ability to utilize power generated by the solar panels had been severely limited. On top of loss power from the AC grid, transmission and communications from the converter to Generac was disrupted. I think this is the reason that a service call was issued by Generac. Sunnova’s service tech was able to help get the system working properly. In the process of the first service order a solar panel was found to be faulty. I’m not sure if Generac will issue a second work order to fix this problem.
