Everything they said would happen, happened. They were in control of the process from start to finish, very little leg work required from me. Two years in, I mistakenly thought i had a problem with a panel. I messaged my salesman Rich. Within an hour a technician called me and explained that I had nothing to worry about, everything was functioning as normal. Everyone I've spoken to from the company has taken the time to ensure I completely understood what was happening and why it was happening. I couldn't have asked for better service.

When I was looking to go solar these guys did an amazing job explaining everything. I spent many hours over several phone calls and they were easy to reach and answered my questions. On install day they were professional, neat, and the system works great.

A good sales process which was not pushy at all - and a very thorough preparation (including permits) performed by the company ahead of installation. The installation was smooth and the system has performed as promised. Service after the sale has also been outstanding.

I wish there were more stars than just five -- I cannot recommend New York Power Solutions enough for anyone who wants solar panels -- even for those just considering it. One day when changing the air filters in my home, I noticed that they were very, very dark. Since I change them frequently, this was unusual. When I had my boiler looked at, it turns out that it was backing up with soot and, though I couldn't see it, this soot was slowly making its way into my house. Since I didn't want my kids breathing in that crap anymore, I decided it was time to at least entertain starting a transition to cleaner energy like solar. I met with Rich H and he carefully and thoughtfully stepped me through the whole process of having a solar panel system installed, including tax credits, the breakeven price of electricity, whether or not we should get battery backup, financing, the permitting process -- everything. There were no high pressure sales tactics -- after all, between the NYSERDA rebate, sales tax exemption, and federal and state tax credits, a solar panel system has never been more affordable. Nonetheless, I never felt pressured to buy. After I worked through the math myself and agreed to move forward, they did a site inspection to make sure that my roof was suitable and provided a more detailed estimate of how much energy my system would produce. They will not proceed with the install unless they think your roof can handle it. After that, our project manager Cindy walked me through what was required and the entire process from drawing up the blueprints to the final QA appointment. I had many, many (many, many) follow up emails which she patiently and promptly answered. I researched the panels, the microinverters, the rail system -- everything that they install is warrantied and top-of-the-line. No compromises in quality here. They even include critter guard (an essential for anyone getting panels) at no extra cost. Installation was quick and efficient -- they installed the best equipment and did it all in less than a day. After install, I had a quality assurance appointment, where I was walked through my system, the app to monitor it, and any questions that I had. The entire team was great and the process was streamlined. NY Power Solutions took care of everything - from the blueprints to permits, to installation, inspections, etc. I can't emphasize how important it is on a big project like this to have someone who is local and understands the process of permitting and dealing with large bureaucratic local governments -- especially in New York. You want a company that is large enough to be around to stand behind their warranty in 20 years, but also small enough that they know how to get things done in your specific neighborhood. New York Power Solutions has knowledge of how to get things done in local municipalities that large national carriers just can't match and their prices are competitive, as well. All material and labor is warrantied for the life of the system. I would highly recommend New York Power Solutions to anyone considering going solar. Their courteous and knowledgeable staff made a large and complex process easy as pie. No muss, no fuss -- and no more paying for my electricity! Thank you New York Power Solutions!

I highly recommend the company. It took about seven months between contract signing and installation (this disclosure is not possible below). I believe the time frame eas related to my town, the utility, and volume/demand at the company.

DO YOUR RESEARCH! I sat down with 5 different Solar Panel Companies before I purchased. Joe Strzelecki from Long Island Power Solutions came to my house and sat with me and went over step by step what I could expect and answered all my questions. But to be honest... after Joe finished up his meeting with me.... there were very few questions I had. All the companies go over the same things and say the same things but where Joe shined was that he gave me the pro's and con's of materials used, installation methods, production numbers, accountability, buy vs lease, etc. So based on Joe's perfromance I decided to go with LI Power Solutions. But it did not just end on a great sales presentation! Once the work began... LI Power Solutions shined even more. They took control and handled everything from scheduling roofer to setting up inspections to the installation. Their support staff in the office was fantastic in keeping me fully updated. The project was was done with no disturbance to my home and nothing more needed on my end. When the job was done... it was done. No loose end for me to take care of. The materials and mehod of installation used was exactly what was promised by Joe. The production numbers Joe presented to me that I could expect from my installation and the savings was spot on. 3 years later my panels are still producing perfectly and my electric bill from PSEG ranges between $12 -$15 per month. Yep that is right... 3 years... $12/$15 per month. It is a no brainer!!! I literally brag to all my friends when ever I get the chance. And to top it off even more... a couple of months ago I had a simple question. I reached out to Joe thinking "I'll probably have to call the main office"... Joe answered me back THAT DAY... three years later! I can say with confidence that if you go with another company you will not get the same level of service, quality materials, installation or dedication to customer satisfaction. Skepticle??? Call Joe... make sure you get Joe Strzelecki! Invite him to take a look at your house. If after meeting with him you are still unsure, I have personally told Joe I would talk to anyone unsure to tell them my experience and show them my installation at my house. NY Power Solution was and has been fantastic throughout the ENTIRE process, from system design, permitting, installation, and service after the sale. Any issues were dealt with rapidly and met with kindness and professionalism. Shortly after installation, a micro inverter malfunctioned. We got a phone call before we even noticed am issue. The team scheduled the replacement and took care of it, and no one had to be home for the repair. Power output estimates were extremely accurate. We haven't had an electric bill in almost a year! If you’re looking to do solar panels, I highly recommend NY Power Solutions. Their team is very thorough from the design phase, getting the paperwork ready for filing and following through the permit phase. The contractors are very knowledgeable and completed the project with no issues. They even came back the next day to double check things because they received an error message on their computers. Everything works fantastic, we had it installed during the tail end of winter so it took about a month or two before we started see energy being stored. Now, we’re at our 6 month and we’re storing a ton of energy. They have a team that walks you through the app on your phone to monitor everything. What I really thought was great in the field is that the contractors put a wire cage around the panels to prevent birds, squirrels or any kind of animal that can get on the roof and could potentially eat the wiring. So many panels companies don’t do that step and it’s very risky.
