How long will it take before the solar panels are installed?

In the best case scenario, a solar system can be installed and turned on in around 90 days. However, many variables are involved in getting the solar system installed and turned on. Delays in turning the system on may depend on the utility company. Some jurisdictions take longer than others.

Does Solar Optimum require a contract?

Do the solar panels work when there is a power outage?

Solar panels do not work if there is a power outage. The solution for this is the home battery back-up that we offer from Tesla Powerwall. If there is a power outage, energy is pulled from the battery. Solar Optimum currently offers Tesla Powerwall and Enphase IQ battery options.

Despite an ongoing +4 month long complaint with Freedom Forever, they at last sent Derrick Corona and his college to reinstall our 14" twirly-bird roof vent taken down, on on a whim, by irresponsible subcontractors on 09/06/25. Freedom Forever dragged their feet for almost 4 months trying to get the original subcontractors to replace the whirly-bird vent, without success. Today, 01/10/26, Derrick's team got it done, with our high praises of 5 stars! Praises go to a few true supervisors who really cared, and escalated this project onto completion! To those supervisors, we give our heartfelt hank you, sincerely!! PS To a few unkind supervisors set up 2 appointments with the homeowner (on 12/29/25 and 01/10/26) to arrive between 7AM-8AM and in both cases, the workers didn't arrive until 1 PM and 10 AM respectively. That sort of treatment to this homeowner is: reprehensible, seemingly on purpose, and outright mean! This homeowner personally feels that some of Freedom Forever's supervisors inflicted "bad manners" and harmed the face and image of Freedom Forever!! To those supervisors, I add, shame on you! Ultimately, we had white glove service with Solar Optimum. Shout out to Joe in sales who helped us make the decision between the three bids we gathered. He's a great front man for the organization. Initially, we had a bit of a glitch with their paperwork & their system and moving through it. We solicited the assistance of Gerson Rodriquez, Administration Manager, in the corporate office and within a matter of minutes he addressed every issue we were having. He is detail oriented and does exactly what he says he's going to do. He brought along Mohi Shahsavari, Director of Operations. Mohi is another power source for the company (no pun intended) 😉 We got daily updates to make the corrections, and then he moved us forward quickly to completion. We also had the pleasure of connecting with Jessica Reyes, Customer Service Rep, who walked through the final steps with us. When you take on a solar project, it's an expensive proposition; and there's a lot of moving parts. Honestly, we would never want to tackle it again without having this amazing team by our sides. There will be hiccups, and there will be delays. You are working with a number of organizations including City permitting & your electric company. There's a number of steps along the way. But we were guided skillfully and had an amazing end result. Their connections throughout the industry were stellar, and their guidance helped us understand the next step of each phase of the process. I will always keep this team in mind for anyone who is asking for a reference for the BEST Solar Company around. They have quite a history, and they continue to live up to their reputation.
