The Good

  • Solar Products from Top Brands
  • Six Month of Paid Electricity
  • Free Home Evaluation
  • Multiple Financing Options

Solar Products from Top Brands

Havasu Solar installs top-of-the-line solar equipment with every solar energy system. This includes solar panels from industry leaders like Q CELLS, Silfab, Solaria, and Outback Power Systems, solar inverters from SolarEdge, energy storage solutions like the Tesla Powerwall and Generac PWRcell, and roof-mounting equipment from IronRidge. In short, every Havasu Solar panel system is built with energy efficiency and durability in mind, and is designed to help customers save money on their electricity bill.

Six Months of Paid Electricity

Havasu Solar guarantees the lowest cost per watt in Arizona. Homeowners that choose Havasu Solar as their solar installer will receive a check that offsets the first six months of utility bill payments within a week of a successful solar installation.

Free Home Evaluation

Havasu Solar offers a free home evaluation to prospective clients. During the assessment, a company representative will come out and provide the specifics on whether or not your home is suitable for solar, how much you can save, and what kind of payment options are available. This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions you may have.

Multiple Financing Options

Through the solar company's partnership with leading solar financiers like Dividend Solar, Sunlight Financial, LoanPal, and Sunnova Financial, Havasu Solar can offer customers multiple means of financing their solar energy system. In addition to direct purchase, customers can also apply for either a low-rate solar loan or a solar lease.

Like direct purchase, a solar loan allows homeowners to take advantage of the federal solar tax credit while paying nothing upfront. A solar lease, meanwhile, keeps monthly payments low and places the financial burden of installation and maintenance of the solar electric system solely on Havasu Solar.

The Bad

  • Limited to Mohave County, AZ
  • No NABCEP Certification

Limited to Mohave County, AZ

Despite offering an impressive line of solar system products, financing options, and warranties, Havasu Solar is only available to residents of Mohave County, AZ. While this narrow service area and nearly two decades of industry experience uniquely qualifies Havasu Solar as a local solar expert, homeowners living outside Mohave County — even as close as Phoenix — will need to work with another solar company.

And as Arizona represents a highly competitive solar market, Havasu Solar may find itself disadvantaged to larger solar brands with a national presence. Promoting verified Havasu Solar reviews from trusted sources can be an effective way for the company to stand out among the competition.

No NABCEP Certification

Havasu Solar does not appear to hold a certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), which authors some of the most respected and highly regarded solar technician training and certification programs in the solar industry. Although the lack of a certification should not imply poor service or solar installation quality on the part of the company, its presence can make a difference to homeowners comparing multiple solar providers.

The Bottom Line

Havasu Solar seems like a decent option if you live in Mohave County, Arizona. The company has been in business for over 18 years and prides itself on installing high-quality solar systems guaranteed to lower your electricity bill. Customers can be assured they're receiving a residential solar system with guaranteed savings that is built to last. As always, we encourage potential customers to read our verified Havasu Solar reviews prior to making a final decision.

Hello Robert, Your system is a Sunpower System and you've leased your system. I requested a review & diagnosis of your system and we found that YTD Year To Date, your system is producing dead center of the high & low allowable production range, and MTD Month To Date in August, your system is producing 107.7% of its expected output. Since Jan 2021 to Aug 2021 your consumption has increased substantially. So, you are using more power than your system was intended to produce. Please know we build every system based on your past history of usage. If a home owner uses more power than they produce, they will get a bill for the difference. I spoke with Sunpower on your behalf and they said they will be happy to discuss a complete system review with you. Havasu Solar is committed to customer satisfaction and we will do anything we can to make sure you have a clear and satisfying understanding & expectation of the performance of your Power System. Please call me if you have any questions. Thank you!
