The Good

  • Solar Products from Top Brands
  • Free Home Evaluation
  • Multiple Financing Options
  • Customer Reviews

Solar Products from Top Brands

Havasu Solar installs top-of-the-line solar equipment with every solar energy system. This includes solar panels from industry leaders like Q CELLS, Silfab, Solaria, and Outback Power Systems, solar inverters from SolarEdge, energy storage solutions like the Tesla Powerwall and Generac PWRcell, and roof-mounting equipment from IronRidge.

In short, every Havasu Solar panel system is built with energy efficiency and durability in mind, and is designed to help customers save money on their electricity bill.

Free Home Evaluation

Havasu Solar offers a free home evaluation to prospective clients. During the assessment, a company representative will come out and provide the specifics on whether or not your home is suitable for solar, how much you can save, and what kind of payment options are available. This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions you may have.

Multiple Financing Options

Through the solar company's partnership with leading solar financiers like Dividend Solar, Sunlight Financial, LoanPal, and Sunnova Financial, Havasu Solar can offer customers multiple means of financing their solar energy system. In addition to direct purchase, customers can also apply for either a low-rate solar loan or a solar lease.

Like direct purchase, a solar loan allows homeowners to take advantage of the federal solar tax credit while paying nothing upfront. A solar lease, meanwhile, keeps monthly payments low and places the financial burden of installation and maintenance of the solar electric system solely on Havasu Solar.

Customer Reviews

With an average star rating of above 4.5 stars out of 5, the general concensus among past and present Havasu Solar customers is that the company delivers on communication and quality of workmanship.

The Bad

  • Limited to Arizona
  • No NABCEP Certification

Limited to Arizona

Despite offering an impressive line of solar system products, financing options, and warranties, Havasu Solar is only available to Arizona residents.

As Arizona represents a highly competitive solar market, Havasu Solar may find itself competing with larger solar brands with a national presence. That being said, nearly two decades of industry experience uniquely qualifies Havasu Solar as a local solar expert.

No NABCEP Certification

Havasu Solar does not appear to hold a certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), which authors some of the most respected and highly regarded solar technician training and certification programs in the solar industry.

Although the lack of a certification should not imply poor service or solar installation quality on the part of the company, its presence can make a difference to homeowners comparing multiple solar providers.

The Bottom Line

Havasu Solar seems like a good option for solar installation if you live in Arizona. The company has been in business for over 18 years and prides itself on installing high-quality solar systems guaranteed to lower your electricity bill. Customers can be assured they're receiving a residential solar system with guaranteed savings that is built to last.

As always, we encourage potential customers to read our verified Havasu Solar reviews prior to making a final decision.

Mr. Nuanez, we would be happy to try to help you. Some solar companies under size the system so the price looks better on paper. We will NEVER downsize unless the home owner tells us to. We have the highest average system size and the lowest cost per watt in Northern AZ. We all use a lot of electricity, and we wanted to install a larger system for your home, but you had a competitor's design that you wanted us to match. You said we were trying to sell you too large a system. So we did what you asked. We installed your system in the agreed upon 60 to 120 days. Well under the 180 day limit. Now you're getting a bill. We try to make every home owner in our family happy. So, as a gesture of good will, we will add more panels to your system at an extreme discount. We want every single home owner happy with their solar! Let us know!

Hello Carianne! Thank you for choosing Havasu Solar! Your solar monitoring shows your system is producing more than promised. I hope this explanation will serve as a reminder that when presented with our size recommendation, that would have completely covered your bill, you & Michael chose to reduce the size of your solar array, not once, but twice, requesting that we not use 2 roofs that we suggested. In our conversation, we discussed the system would not cover the whole bill, but you & Michael chose that option rather than use the recommended space for the larger system. We designed a system with 57 panels. You both opted for an array of 33 because you liked how it looked. We appreciate your business and we pride ourselves on being very transparent keeping our family of home owners informed. Maybe you would consider revising this review?
