I worked with a rep to design a system which would generate 110% of my current usage on the understanding the entire house would be connected to the Solar system and Tesla Power Wall. My system has been in use for almost 2 months. 10 days in I realized I was still using city power, despite the app showing I was generating far more than I needed and was sending excess power to the city. I spoke with a rep and we determined that some of the circuits had not been connected to the system. I was told a technician would be scheduled to come out. My project manager, Brad B will not respond to any of my emails or voicemails. I talked another phone rep last week and was told i should not expect to be completely energy independent, but that the scheduling team would call me back in 3-4 WEEK to SCHEDULE a technician. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!

ADT installed my 52 panel system about 2 years ago. The system produced well for a while. The electrical wiring on the roof is now shorted out and I get nothing but balcony about being out of the solar business, and I should fix it myself or find someone else. It tripped all the breakers, and one will not reset. The weather was raining when they installed it, so all the panel serial number locations are random instead of being where their software says they are. From the symptoms I'm sure the short is in the rats-nest junction box they put on the roof to connect to the system controls. The 25 year workmanship warrantee is apparently just part of the sales pitch. But ADT claims they don't do Solar anymore. The warrantee is like vapor when you talk to the ADT reps. The Enphase control system is the best. So far no failures until the system went down March 3 of this year. It is still down until the workmanship of the field wiring is repaired.

We are very unhappy with the solar panels. We still have a power bill, which we were told we would not have. We asked about the batteries first thing and were talked out of it now we will have to add them to our loan later. When they install the panels they tore up the yard and have still not fixed yet. If I would have know all this before hand I would have never got them and if I had the option to cancel and send them back I would.

I had the solar panels installed more than a year ago and the installation has still not been certified by the city. The installation is not according to fire code. I have been bugging them and they continue to put me off.

I was told my bill would be about $115.00 per month for the next 25 years. It's been $250-$300. I'm very disappointed. I feel like you have me over a barrel. Is that too bad for me? Maybe I'm not understanding something correctly.

The installation was completed quickly and done well but the backoffice folks didn't send the Interconnect Application to Dominion Energy so my system is still unusable. They still have not provided all the information requested by Dominion Energy so I'm not sure when my system will be up and running.

I was told that after the first of the year I would never receive a bill from XCEL anymore, that I would only be making payments on the solar panels. And when the solar panels were paid off I would not see any bills for electricity. I called Sunpro's office today and they told me I would always get an electric bill if I was on the grid.

I originally bought my panels from SunPro. They have since changed hands and is now ADT. Approximatly 8 months ago my system stopped reporting my panel production. I called and spoke to tech support and went through a series of verbal instructions on how to fix it. None of those instructions worked. I was set up with a callback from a higher level of tech support. After months of trying to get it repaired, I was sent a new electrical motherboard of some sort. I called Enphase to let them know I had received it and to inquire as to when they could come repair it. I was then informed on the phone that it was MY responsibility to get an installer to come repair it. I do not know how to get in touch with a "solar installer" but they were happy to provide me with a list of numbers to call. I reluctanctly called the first number, and was advised by the agent that answer the phone that they did not install my panels therefore they would not be able to send anyone out. The agent then advised me that there is a YOUTUBE video that could show me how to replace this motherboard. The product is still under warranty, but no one wants to repair it. I have contacted the finance company MOSAIC and asked for their assistance since they financed the product to the sum of $37K. They also advised me that they didn't have anything to do with the actual product and that I would have to reach out to who my solar dealer was. At this point, I want the panels off my roof, because not only am I paying $287 a month for the financed panels, I am also paying $300+ for my electricity bill. I will not accept any offers of repair at this point, its gone way past that opportunity. JUST COME GET THE PANELS!!

The lowest rating I could give is a one star. The above rating and all star ratings below would be NO STARS or ZERO if I was allowed to do that. I had solar installed by SunPro, and about 1/2 year later lost function of 1/2 of my panals. Upon trying to find a number for SolarPro, I discovered that SunPro had sold to ADT. I contacted ADT, and did have a service call in a timely fashion, for diagnosic investigation. They found a totally fried and burnt out optimizer, which they left in place. The promise was they would check with the Manufacturer and get back to me. I waited about 2 weeks and called back. The response was that they were still dealing with the manufacturer. After that, despite calls every day to every few days, with promises that someone would call back within 24 hours, I NEVER received a single call, email, text, or boo back from ADT. Not even after I requested that the Customer Service agent communicate with his supervisor. And the representatives NEVER let me know if there was any type of problem with me, my solar, my location, or my electricity supplier. It was always, " we will get this resolved for you. " I would have been fine with them simply telling me they didn't want to do business with me, rather than being strung along. (That's an airlines' tactic)! I finally gave up calling, and despite a lenghty file of calls and communications, now 3 months later, not a single peep. This is a totatly unprofessional and unscrupulous company, at least as far as the solar is concerned, and I would have to conclude that it applies to the home security business as well. DO NOT get involved with them. Find another company. G Richardson Alamogordo, NM

I was so disappointed in this "All-Star" company. We got all the way through the process, despite having to change sales people- only to find out they had not given me the solar panels to cover the quote I had initially received. There was a break down during the design process, and they just stopped calling. I reached out several times and finally a "new" district manager contacted and told me that "we had replaced the former guy and that my salesman had been let go"- and "he was going to come see me in two days and shake my hand and get this back on track". Friday came and went no call. So now I am once again looking into quotes! BIG disappointment.

I wish I could give them a negative star rating! The sales guy for ADT Solar lied to us several times. 1.) We were told that the company used their own ADT employees to do the installs, NOT TRUE! In actuality, ADT hires subcontractors to do their installs. 2.) We were told that with the system they designed for our house it would leave us with a $0 , ZERO, electric bill! Again, NOT TRUE! We have had electric bills due to the solar panels not producing enough electricity for the last 5 months, last month's bill exceeded $220. On top of the utility bill, we are also paying a monthly payment for the $52K Solar System loan to cover panels that DON'T ADD UP TO OUR CONSUMPTION! To make matters worse, we requested additional solar panels of which cost us extra but it still doesn't produce enough energy to cover our current consumption needs. We thought that we would buy an Electric Vehicle in the future but that is now out of the question for us! We also asked the sales rep about adding batteries to the system and were told that we did not need them and that the plan they designed was the best solution and would cover our consumption needs, plus more. 3.) We were also told they had electrical companies with solar buy back programs of 1 to 1 for our excess energy production, again NOT TRUE! 4.) NO Customer Support. The sales rep won't return our phone calls and no one from ADT Solar is willing to help us either! I would STAY CLEAR from ADT Solar! Nothing we were told was true and we're completely disappointed that we ever considered making this purchase! It's just one big snow job!

I wish Sunpro would have never sold out to ADT. I had my roof replaced and ADT solar remove the panels so that the roofers could replace my roof. The problems began when ADT came out to replace my panels. The installers took no pride in their workmanship when reinstalling the panels. I watched them spin the corner of the panels on my brand new shingle roof they wore Off excessive amounts of asphalt for my shingles by again not taking pride in their workmanship. I had to ask my roofer to come back out and replace dozens of damaged shingles that the ADT solar installers caused. They sent two separate cruise out to take pictures and according to them there was no damage yet my roofer who is in that business clearly stated that they did and since they took pride in their workmanship replaced what they could as a professional courtesy. I've tried to work out an agreement with ADT solar an adjustment to their Reinstallation of their panels but they've refused to compromise. They have now since threatened to send this to collections which I will provide whoever wants to see all the correspondence I've had with this company. They have a very good product but their installation practices and professionalism does not allow me to recommend them as a solar business for somebody to go to.

It took months to get a quote. Then things went downhill. I was told it would be a two-day installation. The panels were done in on, but not the electrical. They didn’t come back for 5 weeks, even after multiple emails and calls. But they couldn't even manage to finish after the 2nd full day. Again it was over a month before they came back for day 3 of the installation. They didn't finish that day, but did return the next day (day 4) and complete the installation. A couple of days after that the system went live. I logged into the account that allows you to monitor the system only to find out there were 18 errors with the system, and that it hadn't produced any electricity for my home. I reported this a few days ago, and not surprisingly nothing's been done about it. I'm now nearly 3 months from the 1st install day and I still don't have a solar system I can use. Oh, but they do make sure to get paid the full amount of the system prior to the start of installation. I've tried at least a dozen times to get to speak to someone above the person who oversaw my account, but they've refused to speak to me, or even email me back. They've refused to refund any of my money for the inexcusable delays. Who says they're doing a two-day job only to have a 5 week gap in between the days? No one worth using for sure! The electricians that came the first two days were incompetent and slow. They were to install a 220V outlet for my car to charge. There was a rough hole cut in the sheetrock and the outlet was just pushed back inside the sheetrock. I had solar installed on a home before by a different company; a good company. Unfortunately, they didn't have an installer in this area. The difference between the two was night and day. They were competent, professional, and timely. The system didn't have errors at set up. In fact, it didn't have any during the time I lived there. I have zero confidence in the product or people involved with ADT Solar. I would say yes you should get solar, just not from them.

ADT Solar sold us a 37 panel system in July 2022. It is late October now and we still don’t have a working one. ADT (also known as SunPro) sent a crew to install the system in early Oct. When ADT left a third of the panels are not working, the installation quality is horrible and there was trash left on the roof, gutters and lawn. I have sent emails to five different ADT representatives documenting the 16 deficiencies and asked for them to be corrected. I have gotten no action from them. I had one response and it was, “We will have someone look into it.” All the flashings to prevent water leaks are incorrectly installed. They will tell you customer satisfaction is number one but don’t believe it. Once they collect the money they disappear. It is near November now and no working or corrections made. Do Not buy from ADT Solar!

We had the most terrible experience with ADT Solar! Awful customer service, communication, management and quality. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy! Over 7 months to get the system up and working! Workers cut my power, cable and irrigation! They even urinated on my property in broad daylight! I endured at least 24 different issues with this company. They caused my great stress. Here are the latest mistakes made by Sunpro/ADT Solar on my solar installation as of 9/2122: A) Half, or 24 of 48 of my solar panels were not working on a brand new install That is pathetic! B) The company knew that half of the panels are not working on a brand new system that was promised to be working in March! Yet it told me that the panels would not be fixed for another month! That is certainly not being responsive to a customer that has had all these issues getting solar panels working! 7 months! Really! C)Noor, an account manager supervisors assigned to my case, told me that she would see that the solar permit was submitted to my power company. I waited 3 days and it still had not been submitted, so I submitted it myself. Another promise made and broken from their poor customer service personnel. D)Vince said he would take over and work with me to resolve the many issues on my project. I sent him pictures of the latest broken pipe issue on the 7th Sept and asked him to contact me but he never did! Ghosting customers is never good policy. E) As stated above, our gardener just noticed massive water pipe breakage due to the company’s negligence. Half, 24 of 48 solar panels were not working on this brand new install!I will need to pay someone to be there to supervise the repair. Really?! This company’s crew can’t even install the solar panels correctly? So to sum up, I have at least 24 issues with my solar installation. The company has sent me 2 gift cards of 500 each.. Those do not even begin to make up for all the anxiety, stress, time and effort I have experienced to to this botched solar installation. 1) I signed the contact in January ‘22. It was supposed to be installed on roof in March. You folks came out three separate days to try to install it. We had to change our schedules 3 different days only to be told that they could not do a roof install. 2) I was very upset and was put in touch with Neal. We decided to do a ground install. He was kind enough to tell us for all our trouble and delay that he would charge me the roof price for a ground install. Neal personally came out to tell me where the install would happen so I could move any shrubs in the way and call to have all utilities marked, which I did. I paid around $35,000 to you in March. The ground install could not happen for two months so I lost two months interest on that money. 3) We had to leave for Vermont when the ground install was scheduled so had to pay someone to be at house during install. I was told install would be 1 to 2 days. It took over a week, so that’s 5 days I had to pay Donna to babysit a job that was supposed to be finished in March! 4) ADT’s crew first cut the power line to our house, leaving the house hot for about 4 hours. Then they cut the Xfinity line leaving our house unprotected by alarm and cameras when no one was there! Your workers said both were not marked. I was not there so don’t know what the truth is. I do know One of the workers told Donna Sunpro would take care of getting Xfinity out to fix it ASAP. Well, that did not happen! 24 hours passed before I called Xfinity myself. Brian also called around the same time and a crew was dispatched but this company really needs to communicate clearly with the customer and this repeatedly has not happened. 5) We went out to speak with one of the workers on a Friday in May and saw him peeing on our property! C’mon! Where is this company’s professionalism???! 6) Donna said there was no supervisor the whole time M-F the crew was working. Again, not professional. Who knows what else that crew could have been doing on my property. 7) The crew destroyed one of my shrubs and tore up my grass without my permission. 8) Brian and the crew told Donna and I on Wednesday that they did not have the parts to finish the job and did not know when they would arrive. Seriously! What professional company tells a customer their project is all ready to be completed in 1 to 2 days as Spencer told me and then does not have the parts to complete the job!! Or not know when the parts will be in? 9)Brian, the supervisor told us the crew would be working today, Memorial Day so I paid a worker double to come in. But they did not show up. Again, total lack of accurate communication with client and very unprofessional. 10) Sunpro/ADT told me the solar would be up and running in March, so that is 5 months of higher electric bills because of the company’s delays. The concrete is uneven, unsafe and full of holes. It needs to be redone and have all the chunks left all over my property removed. Again, where is the supervision and professionalism of this company? They did repair it eventually, but really? 12) Noor, who is supposed to be dealing with my complaints as a customer seems put out that I am bringing them to her attention. She says I have “been bashing” her. I don’t need that from a person whose job is to resolve customer complaints. None of this is personal. I just want a working solar system and to be fairly compensated for all the unprofessional screw ups, delays and lack of communication that has been repeatedly happening since March! 13)All of this has caused great stress on me, my spouse and our relationship. In short, this job has been botched so many times in so many ways! What a horrendous experience with this company!

Honestly, I would not give this any stars. We signed for the system in April was told complete installation would be 45 to 60 days. We are now working on 5 months. This has been a nightmare every step of the way. As of today, the system still has not been inspected by the State (was scheduled over a month ago for yesterday) but no one showed up. Our Service Manager, Christopher C is of no help at all. He never ever responds unless we call the sales rep and get mad. The most recent example of his lack of support is, we reached out to him several days (4) to verify when the inspection was to be done. He responded he would get back to us. Still nothing and no inspector arrived as scheduled (yesterday). Today, Chris finally got back to us after we really got angry, he was defensive and rude but still had no answers on what is going on with our system. We can give you example after example of the incompetence of this company. We were required to schedule time off from work to be here for installation. Two days turned into 4, which turned in to 6, plus a half day which ended up being 11 hours. The reasons we were given for all the delays were numerous from the teams were not informed of what was needed or what was done prior, or they are lacking the equipment and/or supplies necessary to complete the project. The hardest and one of many annoying things is they received their money from the finance company, even though the system is not usable. We are responsible for the payment even though we are not able to get the system inspected and final steps (we were told another 2 weeks after the inspection). With no answers from our Service Manager Chris, we will be paying a couple of months charges for a system still not ready to use. Overall, I would warn you of how unprofessional, unresponsive, lack of professionalism they have displayed in the several months dealing with them. Now they have their money we are not a priority and can't get anyone to respond to our inquiries until you get to the point of anger. If you are thinking about this type of system, I again would strongly suggest someone else. We are researching how to proceed legally - get their equipment removed, and our home roof and bricks (where they installed something, we would have never approved) repaired. if you have any suggestions - please let us know. I wish you the best - but I would not recommend wasting your time, effort and money with ADT / Sun Solar.

About a year ago I signed a contract with SunPro to install solar panels. I believed in the solar program. The panels were install quickly, I was so excited because I was going solar. Unfortunaly I am not using it. I received the following message couple times a week stating "Good afternoon Mr. G, how are you? I just wanted to follow up with you and see how things are going. Currently, we are still woking on scheduling you for inspections, We have been able to get some more people on board to help with the inspections so I am hopeful we will start getting through them quicker. In the meantime, we will continue to keep you updated with any new developments." I have received the same message for months. While paying the utilities company and paying for the system.

Horrible experience over promised under deliver by a land slide. I was in the market for solar and had a rep come out to visit and he was late which I forgave him he gave me the reassurance and promising So I decided to move forward. So the process was no where close to ADT solar guide sheet. I had to doc u sign multiple times, I had to resign my contract because no HIS # which I search up and it was not valid. Then I was told it was a glitch and that I had to resign again. Which lead to the loan documents that I had to resign and when I reviewed it, I was livid it was 8k more than what i originally agreed on our proposal I ask them why there was a glitch. I contact my rep and and ask them why so they ended up revising it to the original Proposal so I ended up signing and proceed to move forward. Then couple days later the administrator called and said the your permit can’t be pulled for your job because of the ADT sunpro merger licensing has not finalize. By this time I was heated you would think the rep or a manager or someone would call me to update me and not give me the run around mind you I was ready to move forward after so many attempts but this last one just done it for me. Terrible no calls or explanation I felt I wasted 2 months waiting, getting solar Shouldn’t be this stressful. If your reading this just due your diligence and research. I have all documents and receipts just waiting just to be let down. Horrible

1st the guy to give estimates was 2 HOURS late. NEVER called to tell me he would be late. I have schedules too.. Didnt really look around my property, just sat in my dining room punching buttons on tablet. The Google Earth photo they use is from 2018...NOT current. He wouldn't listen to me tell him how the sun goes over my house everyday. I should know, I have lived here for 17 years!!! Should have made him sit outside in the heat with my 2 Pittys watching him. Couldnt tell me anything about the system or what it entails or how it works.. NOTHING. Acted like I was to stupid to understand. Yes I am old, but I am far from stupid!!!.. He had to run a so called soft hit to my credit before he could tell me anything. Seems all he cared about was could I pay for the system. REALLY???!! At the end he tells me could cost close to $50,000 !!!! I have a 1000 sq ft home!!! Thats a lie!! I looked it up with other companies. Only maybe $20,000 for my home. WITH BATTERY BACK UPS!!!! Dont know what his problem was.. Tells me oh ya you can't get the 12 months free thing unless I give him 12 names. Whoever signs up then you get 1 month free PER PERSON!! He acted like because I didn't get it I wasted his time!! REALLY!! HE WASTED MY TIME. The customer service phone lines are even worse. NOT friendly NOT informative at all!! I just wanted to know how much this company would charge me for a certain system. NOT to be judged on my credit.... Should NOT have to pre-qualify just to get an estimate!! I have ADT Security. Thought it would be a good experience. HELL NO!! NO discounts for elderly or if I have the security system either!! What a scam!!!

First, this will not be my final review, as this story has not been completely written. However, after multiple chapters, I cannot recommend this company to anyone for any service! Second, I know this is a veteran-owned business, so as a veteran, I feel horrible having to speak truth to power. A profession is a profession, however, and accountability is in order. This company is overwhelmed with the solar demand AND has proved to be incompetent in managing complicated operations issues that require increased customer attention and resolution. Additionally, their communication is extremely poor, and they deflect issues across multiple actors involved in the solar PV installation (salesman, account manager, operations manager, electrician, etc.). Among a myriad of installation problems (they had to dig multiple trenches that tore up my lawn and landscaping, they cut a LPG line because they weren't hand digging as agreed upon close to the house where multiple lines converged, etc.), ADT (SunPro) Solar mis-designed my solar system in their haste to get to a sales contract and now lack any sense of urgency to resolve the issue to my satisfaction. ADT did not account for an existing whole house generator and 400 amp service to two 200 amp breaker boxes when they designed my system. I had to put the brakes on the project because the generator was not electrically isolated from the solar PV system, a known imperative I gathered during simple research online while "trusting but verifying" their hasty work. As a result, the one line diagram approved by engineering was invalid and failed inspection by the country, leading to a delay sequence that has no "get well" date. In summary, the ground mounted solar system, installed for over a month now, is unusable with no ETC for PTO known by any party in their management hierarchy. The system failed inspection with the county and a one line engineering diagram reflecting the final wiring is all that is needed to move the project forward, acknowledging there are still more rate determining steps once the one line gets fixed. It has been three weeks since the inspection failed, and there have been no communications reflecting 1) understanding/responsibility of the problem and 2) a coherent update on the one line diagram progress and resolution. Meanwhile, the first payment on my $95K solar loan is inside 30 days, and I fear that 1) the system will not be PTO and 2) based on other complaints, they will not honor their commitment to make these loan payments for me, which will place me into a financial hardship. Finally, they sold me a solar system consisting of LG-380s while LG was in the process of departing the solar business. They knew this and did not mention it at all during the sales process. I get that this is on me for not doing my research but it's obvious now they were in a rush to sell me outdated/sunsetting equipment and I'm clearly paying a premium for that, which makes it harder to swallow that they are not getting the system to PTO in a timely manner. ADT needs to get this solar project complete per the contract with the promised solar production as the solar loan has funded that I am liable for. As a fellow veteran I placed my trust in this company and they will offer you a discount and assure you they use their own installers and the installation will go smooth because they have years of experience and are industry leaders yada yada ... but I am here to tell you, loud and clear, and as a credible member/leader within the US Armed Forces that the reality is much different once you sign that contract and you need to pause before you think about hiring this company! I do not and will not recommend ADT to anyone! And I will continue to share this story in the local community and on the social media forums for folks that are in the market for solar with rising energy costs. I now know that there are so many better choices out there! Get multiple quotes and read the complaints and reviews. They matter! And contact me if you want to know more detail and how this story ends.

On 3/1/22 I had to have new smoke detectors wired in by ADT Solar, because it's city code, since I had to get a breaker panel upgrade. My mother was at the house while the electricians installed the smoke alarms.I work in ac/heating and about 2 weeks later I noticed I was missing a tool. I looked everywhere in the house and could not find it. I started to panic and wonder what happened to it because it is in a big BLUE container and is pretty heavy and cost about $714. Finally I got the idea to check some of my security cameras in the house. I looked on my kitchen camera and noticed that on 2/25/22 that tool was on the floor. I continued my research and found that the electrician, not the apprentice, took my tool on 3/1/22. The electrician did ask his apprentice if he wanted to meet him at the shop the next day and which car they should go in. I have him on my doorbell camera taking it to his Sunpro car. I contacted my salesman and he made phone calls to find out what happened. I spoke with a manager about it and said the electrician stole my tool and she chuckled and according to her my tool was sitting in the foremans office the very next day, March 2nd. I have posted the videos of the electricians on Youtube.com and Rumble.com. Look for Sunpro electrician taking my HVAC tools to his car. On 4/1/22, while my mother was getting her solar panels installed the manager brought not only my big blue container, but also another tool I did not realize he had taken, which means he made a second trip for that one. The big blue container has evacuation hoses in it and the other smaller container she brought to me was a Fieldpiece refrigerant leak detector. Both of these tools totaled about $1000 together. She treated me like I should be grateful that they are bringing these tools back to me. That day I spoke with the salesman and said no one ever offered compensation to me. This electrician took $1000 worth of tools out of my house, and according to ADT Solar, it sat for about 2 weeks before I realized it was missing. Had it been at ADT Solar the next day and, according to them, the foreman asked the apprentice if they were his and he replied no. Why did they not return it immediately? She offered $500 for compensation after the salesman spoke with her and said I was upset. I said I wanted to speak with her manager and she sent an email back stating that she first received notification of the missing tools Sunday March 27th and that on Monday March 28th she found both in the foreman's office. Until this time she claimed that ADT Solar had my tools in the Foreman's office the next day, so why is she saying now she found them in his office March 28th? Why not keep the story the same that they had been in his office since March 2nd? The day she called I had to call the salesman and ask what was going on and she did not call until 11am-12pm. She should have called me 1st thing that morning and asked, What can we do to make this right? I let her know that Sunpro did an excellent job on the install, but I am being treated by upper management as if I did something wrong. I spoke with her manager, the regional manager, and he also has this attitude that I should be grateful to them and that he is doing a favor for me by even considering offering compensation to me. I spent a lot of money with this company and had expensive tools taken from my house and they do nothing at all about, because according to them it was in their office the next day. I spoke with the regional manager and he said he would send an email the next day with an amount for compensation. Up until this time I have been patient with them, because the regional manager did not contact me until about 5 days or so later, and shortly after 7pm I sent him an email saying that I had not heard from him and that I was going to go to the BBB, etc. to leave reviews. He emails me back saying, Sir, my EOD is in the evenings I thought we had an amicable and reasonable conversation but now Im starting to get an understanding of your character. I did nothing wrong to ADT Solar! Management has dragged their feet on this matter since I reported it to them. They are treating me as if I do not matter! He also ends the email saying, Had the tone of your email been different, my decision could have also been. With that said, I will make you a one-time offer of $300 in exchange for a non-disparagement signed letter. You can choose to take that or post the negative reviews, in which, I will respond to with factual information. He then gives me until 5 pm CST on 4/13/22 to respond or the offer is off the table. I am writing this review with factual information. According to your side that you consider factual information they had my tools the very next day and did absolutely nothing to get them back to me until I found out where they ended up. Here are the facts, either the electrician stole it or the foreman stole it as, according to ADT Solar, it was there the very next day and the apprentice said it was not his. Over 2 weeks later they still did not return my tools!! And they want to treat this situation as if they did nothing wrong and I should be grateful to them!! Every single person I have told this story to say the same exact thing!! It was not an accident!! Since ADT Solar has chosen to treat me poorly, I have gone to the police and told them to press charges against anyone in this case that they see fit to charge. If you choose to use ADT Solar, just remember if they take something it is an accident or you could go elsewhere. There are enough solar panel companies out there. Very poor customer service. A Sunpro employee took tools that did not belong to him, took the tools to the foremans office the next day (according to them), and no one thought to find out who the tools belonged to? It should have been easy to find out who they belonged to because they were coming from my house the day before. Had I not had the cameras I would have never gotten them back and I would have been out $1000 and they treat me like I wronged them!

SUNPRO put an 8ft copper rod in the ground for the solar panels near our utility lines to our home on 3/29. So on 3/31, I was working (at home as usual) and I thought our home was catching on fire. My husband was just about to leave for work before I screamed fire and all i saw was bright orange glowing light coming from the water heater and the back of the washing machine. My husband yelled for me to called 911 and i was frightened while telling 911 that theres a fire in my home. The 911 operator told me to get out of the home but i was worried about our 2 cats. We did that and we were outside waiting for the fire department/police not knowing what was going on and i was crying because my 2 cats were still somewhere in my home. I was frightened and crying worried for my 2 girls because i thought my home was burning down. What happened is that the gas line heated up to 1,300 degrees thats why there was smoke, gas, and water everywhere. I didn't understand why this happened. But then the firefighters saw the mistake sunpro made and how the gas line got to 1,300 degrees, because the 8ft rod that they put on the side of our home actually went near our eletric & gas line. So that's why my home was full of carbon monoxide and why our water heater burst and spilled all the water from our water heater which is about 50 gallons that filled up my laundry room & sons room. All of this because sunpro installed that copper rod on the wrong side, they put it where our utilities are which they are suppose to put it on the opposite side. If you can imagine I was very upset that day and I still am to this day. To make it worse I have chronic pain issues due to an autoimmune disorder and thats why i work from home and i was in such a panic on 3/31 running to try to get our water hose to put the "fire out" and just panicking. I consequently I was in so much pain 2 weeks and it didnt make it better that I couldnt sleep because of how traumatic this all was. If anyone has chronic pain or an autoimmune disorder they know that stress and too much movement really is horrible because everything hurts badly afterwards. I have so much water damage and we were without hot water for 2.5 weeks (cold showers suck. I had no choice but to shower in cold water because our hotel was almost an 1 hour away to and back home). I hate that I cannot make a meal for our family, i am a huge baker and enjoy cooking but because our appliances were destroyed due to the electrical lines heating up and literally frying all the cords on the appliances i have no appliances. What sucks the most is that I had to pay out of pocket to go to laundromat to wash clothes for my teenager daughter, my adult son, mine and husbands clothes. Also we had to pay out of pocket for food for 3 weeks now which for a family of 4 is costly (2k up to this point). We have been eating just fast food to save as much as we can. But eating fast food for 3 weeks straight sucks. Sunpro didn't even offer to help pay for our food on day one we just had to figure it out. If my husband didn't have a credit cards I guess sunpro expected that we use our saving but we shouldn't have do any of this when this was not our fault. i feel like we weren't important enough because we don't live on "the rich side of town". It feels like once they got their money from our panels they were like "wow that sucks" (by the way the solar panels arent even turned on yet). They also were bragging that this isn't anything because they have seen worse things happen to other customers who they installed improperly. That was shocking. I got angry when we got the bill to pay the financing company that we financed the panels on, I am literally stretched thin because of the expenses we had to pay out of pocket. I have just felt like they don't care that they destroyed our home and displaced my son who is in college and had possessions destroyed due to water damage and because fire fighters had to take all his stuff out to control the water. I am so unhappy that no one higher up has tried to check up on us weekly AT LEAST to see if we need anything or just to show compassion for our situation. And what angered me the most is that after they destroyed my home Sunpro had the audacity to keep the appointment to turn on the panels. There are 2 damaged room, no hot water, and we have no appliances, I told them to go away because I didnt want anyone from sunpro in my house right now. On this visit to turn the panels on what added on to my anger is when i told the sunpro employees who were here to turn the panels on to go away because of what they did, the employees said "oh you're the house? I saw the pictures." So what they're just showing off pictures of my home and laughing about a miserable day that i dont want to be reminded of. I dont appreciate them having a laugh at my expense. This just solidified that they dont care about what they did. They didn't even bother to communicate with each other so that they didn't come by when my home is literally upside down. I am never recommending this company. I wish I could get these panels off my roof because I hate looking at them on my roof because I am reminded of that day where everything was ruined.

50% Chance You Will Regret Solar Especially from SunPro It is unfortunate to want to do solar and in the end be advocate to not get solar in Florida residential, your neighbors are horrified, and your stuck with a 20 year loan. Real ROI is like 23 years don't be fooled. FYI Solar in general is bad at residential level and new Florida net metering makes it useless. Get a Generator and Gas tank for backup power. Below is apparently common, educate yourself before signing anything. Company with beautiful brochures showed misleading advertising graphs (KW cost, national inflation), incorrect pricing parts, $3000 to cancel on 4th day if you do sign and figure out nothing matched salesman statements. SunPro came out to install, told twice this looks wrong by installer before they even started. 8+ trips to get system working over 6 months, then roof leaks. They use their own employees however they are untrained no idea what's going on. Brand new roof had leaking roof, inside with buckets and drywall falling, tracking tar and dirt in house, 3 more trips trying to caulk holes, replaced roof separate company, still left with $14K loan and partial solar. Apparently this is normal*, several company employees said they had 3 more problem appointments to fix just that day, not alone. Employees completely agreed it was a scam :/ They charged a premium for the most horrible service you could receive. No one at company knew what the other was doing, every person coming out had some new person with them training, technician shows up and would ask what they were there for. Took 2 months for them to even notice the solar was completely offline during roof repair. Loan for 8 panels (2.9KW) was 14K, saves me $42 in electric bill and pay $52 on my loan. Something they wont say, your insurance will cost more and they don't cover it under hurricane deductible.

First, I need to say that the sunpro installers were great, that is, when they were here. Second, I need to point out my failure in researching companies, it was a friend of a friend thing. Had I done a better job at vetting, I would not be in this position. I have an 11kw system with a 10kw Enphase backup battery, that's the only good thing. The system works great, however, I arrived at this point by a high pressure sales team. $73k. That's what my system cost. Sunpro lied from the point of sale, to the activation of the system, which took roughly 7 months. The home energy survey was an absolute joke, I was told my doors would be resealed, never happened. I was told that my water heater would be wrapped, i could have done a better job with tape and toilet paper. I was told that all my lights would be replaced with led's, they brought 2 cases of warm yellow lights for ME to install, and did not even get the 5 candelabras that i needed for a chandelier. I was promised things that I never got, and I am now certain that I never will. I wanted a system that would do everything that I needed it to if the grid went went down due to storm, or whatever. I was told that with 31 panels, I would never have a worry. When the last of the electricians came just before activation, I found out that if the grid goes down, I will not have 31 panels. Only 19 panels will work because that's all the battery can handle. That's not what I paid $73k for. I've given them opportunity to make it right, I guess they don't care. It is now my mission to save others from the huge mistake I made by using sunpro. Do your due diligence, GET MULTIPLE QUOTES! I know many are happy with their sunpro experience and that's great, I guess I'll be the odd one that gets crapped on. Sunpro is owned by ADT home security which doesn't have such a great customer rating, and I can assume that sunpro will end up the same way. Do yourself a favor, if you decide to go with sunpro, make sure they are only one of at least 3 quotes. The installers were all great, the company is crap. I will now begin my quest to scream that as loudly, and widely as possible. You've been warned.

Even at one star I am extremely disappointed with the service I received!!! I have made many, many calls to a so called “Customer Service Department”. No return calls even when promised. Finally I tried to contact the President of the company and then received what I was hoping would finally be THE call that would assist me. He was pleasant and again I was promised a call from someone who might assist me. Nope, she was maybe the worst one I had spoken to at the company, It appears that I have only one avenue to take, getting an attorney who can hopefully help me get some answers. I own a medium sized business and have many years of experience in life (I am 68 years old) . I have never ever had to personally contact a lawyer in regard to a personal solution. I am sad it has come to this!!! Steve Weisbecker

The finance company is now hounding me and the system is something a first grader could do batter at. They make all kinds of promises but DO NOT deliver. SRP has failed the system twice due to numerous infractions. The major one is that the breaker coming into the home is 1/2 what it should be and I believe my home is in danger of burning to the ground. They then tied the system to the wrong breaker in the wrong building and that panel can't even support the system as I understand it. When they 1/2 way installed the system (probably the wrong panels) there was such a mess and wire, nuts, screws and other debris all over my back porch, garage entry, and back yard I was afraid to allow my dog to go into the back yard. 3 weeks later I am still picking up items that could hurt my dog. When I informed the company - you guessed it no one was sent back out. Good luck cleaning up our mess was the attitude. I also had told the company I needed the system to be such that if the power went off from SRP I desperately needed the building to stand on it's own due to safety concerns. It doesn't!! and no one will return my calls. Here is the deal if you have read this. You have been warned. I have two previous homes in other parts of town and the solar company I used at those times don't serve this area so I know how it should work. Call anyone but DO NOT use ADT/Sunpro. ADT took over right before we signed the crocked line.

Horrible. We signed paperwork back in July of 2020 it's now Jan 2022 and our panels still aren't up and working. I was told in October of 2020 I would get a refund for all the months that my panels haven't been working still never received a refund. SUNPRO keeps saying they are waiting on Duke Energy to switch the meter. But when I called Duke SUNPRO never sent in the application for the solar panels or the meter. I've been asked so many times how I like the solar and who I've gone with by new people also building in our neighborhood and I tell everyone not to go with SUNPRO I'm so disappointed and still waiting on the refund and the application to be turned in to Duke for my meter to be changed. Then they go and say my name doesn't match on my homeowners insurance and my Duke bill but I sent them my most recent bills proving that they do. They are trying to put the blame on anyone but themselves for there horrific customer service

Sunpro Solar is a SCAMMER / SPAMMER / ROBO CALLER / COLD CALLER / PHONE TERRORIST. As a Scam-Baiter / Scam-Buster, I can tell you that Sunpro Solar is one of the worst. For several several months, Sunpro Solar has called my phone several times per week. When I disguise my voice as an elderly, special needs or highly vulnerable individual, they will claim that I already have an appointment to purchase SunPro Solar products. When I tell them that my memory is bad, they claim that I made an appointment yesterday. When I tell them that I am a poor person that only receives a little money from social security, they double down on the manipulation tactics and unwanted calls. In many ways, Sunpro is worse than the most heinous scammers, as they specifically target people they believe to be elderly, special needs and highly vulnerable. Do not be surprised when Sunpro Solar is hit with another class action lawsuit.

Our experience with SunPro has been absolutely awful. We purchased a $65,000 system including 42 solar panels and 2 Tesla batteries for the purpose of being able to power our home and appliances in the event of a major power outage such as a hurricane. The system was installed in March but then wasn't turned on until July after a lot of painful back and forth with Sunpro to make it happen. And it only happened because we had a friend who is an Executive at Entergy who was able to help us. The first chance that the system was put to the test it failed entirely. During Hurricane Ida, the power went out and once our batteries used up all of their stored power during the night, the system failed to work. I called customer service and they weren't helpful and then I texted with a customer service manager who was involved in getting our system turned on and she told me that our system was tied to the Entergy grid and it would not work until the power was turned back on. This was completely contradictory to everything we had been told and the reason why we invested so much in this system. It was devastating and then we had to evacuate and were displaced from our home for a week and half. No one ever attempted to get in touch with us to follow up regarding this major issue. After speaking with several other solar companies, we realized that this woman was not informed and had given us incorrect information so I called Sunpro back and after 2 phone calls, I was finally able to speak with someone who confirmed that our system did in fact fail and it was supposed to work during the Entergy power outage. They are supposed to be coming to do a site visit to inspect the equipment but I haven't heard from them since and we have been given no indication that they care at all about this massive failure. I would highly advise not going with this company.

Our salesperson was amazing. I’d give her five stars if I could. She promised what she expected from the company, however, the company didn’t follow through. We talked about the “single day install” but ours was closer to one week rather than one day. I will also add that we do not have a large house. We agreed on the amount of panels and the arrangement of the panels only for the crew to come out and tell us that arrangement would not work. We’re on our second project manager because the first was not responsive, never answered phone calls or emails. We are now on month three and have no clue when we will be operational. The reviews on here are all somewhat good - but it’s been a nightmare here in Georgia.

I cannot say in words how disappointed I am. I had 2 bids but went with the higher cost at SunPro because I thought I was getting better service and equipment. I am a cash buyer that spent nearly 50k on my system. We signed up in January 2021. Put the deposit in on Feb 14th. Panels were installed Mar 11. Went through multiple visits from SunPro to do final hook ups. 3 APS inspections…2 of them wrong inspections called in by SunPro, and this is happening in May 2021. Fast forward to today June 5th…SunPro comes out to do final commissioning and activate the system. The Enphase Envoy box is broken…doesn’t work. What a horrible experience. I have had a solar system “installed” on my home that I paid cash…for 3 months that does not produce, and doesn’t work. I don’t think our experience with SunPro can be any worse. The “account representative “ would set up calls and appointments and not show up or call until hours past the time. I believe I had 3 different representatives until I was given the direct line to the regional director. We are beyond disappointed.

Our solar was installed on March 4 and 5th but still not hooked up..a lot of damage was done to our home..still not fixed..the installers left a mess of screws electric pieces and cigarette butts...my previous little dog died...no one call about fixing the ceiling damage...I finally got a professional who gave us an estimate and I sent it on...why can't they send us the money so that we can pay this professional to fix it...why can't they get us hooked up so we can use our panels..so damage to my home and my little dog dead is all I have gotten is being depressed and the run around..I am already paying for nothing Kathleen Herron Kathleen Herron

When it's working it's great. I get about 75% of my FPL bill. Did NOT work following hurricane. Zero generation of electricity since which is one week.

Be honest with your customers. I found out the things the salesman told me weren’t exactly true. I never hear back from them. Installation did go fine.

Do not buy from this company!!! It does not honor the 25-year warranty and will not fix my 3-year-old installation. The installer left the job site with 3 down and said nothing. I had 8 down the next year, and they finally were fixed in October 2022. I now have 3 down, and these people will not do one single thing to fix the panels. Do not be fooled by them!!

We’ve had solar with adt since December and it’s been a nightmare of a ride. From being lied to about how much coverage we would have to everything. Since summer has ramped up we can’t even turn on our ac unit or we’re sitting in the negative with two different bills the electric and then solar side. The panels has caused the house to be extremely hot and trapping in extra heat to say the least I wish we never would have went with it. They take your money and then their done with you can’t even get any one to call me back.

I got panels installed in August 2022, and after they were installed, they didn't care anymore; the panels were not working. I have three arrays installed, but only two workes properly; one array with six panels is not working; even technicians said it must be a faulty wire, but c/s refused to file a ticket to get a fix and called cust service a nightmare; they never answer, and when you complain about the production of the solar panels, they refuse TO FILE A TICKET to help and hung up the phone, TERRIBLE COMPANY, CHOSE ANOTHER ONE.

Hello Ms./Mrs. Riley,
We would like to apologize for the service provided to you. After reviewing your system, we can see no errors being reported and all panels are producing. If you have concerns about the production of the system, we can conduct a bill review after the system has been on for 6 full billing cycles with your utility company. If you would like for us to complete this review, please email 6 months of utility bills, front and back, to customersupport@theprocompanies.com.

Chose another company - worst customer service ever! I've been waiting since July 1, 2022, to have my solar panels installed. This company was anxious to sign the paperwork and then ghosted me as a customer? I reached out to the company representatives the week of 10/17/2022...and the response was "I'll have the account manager reach you ASAP!" and "Let me see what I can find out for you. Thank you"....yet nothing from the account manager! Plenty of other solar companies to chose from...but I'm stuck with this 3rd rate company!

I can't imagine anything more frustrating than the experience I have had trying to get the panels ADT installed hooked up. The panels were installed in May and it has been 5 months and they are still not online. EVERYONE involved has taken their sweet time to do anything and I have a feeling it will be another 2 or 3 months before it is connected to the grid. I would NOT recommend using this company.

If I could give zero stars I would. It’s been 5 months and we still don’t have workable solar. We do have a hole in our roof from the solar installation process. This company has done nothing but delay and provide excuses. Our project manager provides zero communication and she won’t connect me to a manager. We are now paying for our electric bill and our solar loan. It takes months to get our loan reimbursement from ADT. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

My 74 year old mother got roped into a 25 year contract. My sister and I didn't realize she had put panels on the house in December until January. As of right now, they still aren't active because my mother had a stroke shortly after the first of the year. My sister and I both think she has Dementia, and didn't realize what she was signing. Who would give an elderly woman a 25 year contract?!?! We want them to take the panels off. We aren't sure if my mother will be able to go back home.

My install finished in March 2021. The installation is sloppy and devalues my home. The supports extend beyond the panels. I have called multiple times to have it fixed. Sometimes I got a reply and promise to fix but no action. So I was forced to start payments. After I signed the activation agreement FPL said I could activate my service. The electrical box they installed inside my house has two switches. One does nothing. It is not working. This big conglomerate company will probably need to be sued. Next time i need a contractor I will look locally.

Sad to say, but I had to go with a different company AFTER my system was installed. Very unprofessional installation, not to mention I was lied to about the system that I was sold. When I asked what was going to be done about these issues, I was told to “Figure it out”. Since then I have gone with a local company and have had much better results.
