Although subscribers should be aware that all offers require credit qualification, 2-year commitment with an early termination fee, and eAutoPay.

With select packages, customers will receive a free 3 month trial of premium channels from SHOWTIME, STARZ, and Disney Movie Pack.

*After 3 months you will be billed $30 per month unless you call and cancel.

DISH High-Speed Internet Add-Ons

One of the advantages of investing in DISH TV is the additional discounts that you will receive when you bundle your service with other services offered by DISH. For those that add high-speed internet to their DISH TV plans, pricing can start as low as $20 per month. This high-speed internet service will provide speed for surfing, streaming, and gaming.

*Internet services and pricing are subject to availability and some restrictions apply. For more information, it would be advantageous to speak with DISH customer service representative

Whole-Home HD DVR

The Hopper 3, DISH’s award-winning Whole-Home HD DVR and secondary receivers allow customers to watch TV in any room in the house. Users can start watching a show in the living room and when they get tired can pause and resume the show once they’re in bed. Customers can also say goodbye to recording conflicts as DISH lets customers record 16 programs at once. Perhaps one of the most unique features from the Hopper 3 is the ability to watch four channels at once.

For customers with more than 2-3 TV’s in their home, DISH offers a small but powerful complimentary receiver, Joey. A Joey connects multiple TV’s in the home with the Hopper to help create what DISH calls a “whole-home entertainment experience.” The Joey has all the same benefits as the Hopper and can either be wired or wireless.

*All offers require credit qualification, 24-month commitment with early termination fee and eAutoPay. Prices include Hopper Duo for qualifying customers. The Hopper, Hopper with Sling or Hopper 3 is $5 per month or more. Upfront fees may apply based on your credit qualification

Free Professional Standard Installation

Unlike most service providers, DISH will mount the satellite dish and install the Whole-Home DVR system for free. The company is extremely transparent about what customers can expect on their installation day and what the installation includes.

Customers can expect their DISH technician to:

  • Conduct a site survey and provide recommendations to where the satellite dish should be placed
  • Assemble and mount the satellite dish
  • Install DISH receivers (Hopper, Joey, etc.) for each television included in the service, in up to 6 rooms
  • Program DISH remotes to work with the TV and DISH Receiver
  • Answer any questions
  • Provide prompt and courteous service

24/7 Customer Service

Because of the company’s focus on customer satisfaction, DISH has technical support agents standing by 24/7 to help troubleshoot, resolve issues, and get customers back to watching their favorite show. DISH has nine call centers located throughout the United States filled with customer service agents who are ready to help answer and resolve any questions.

Voice Remote with the Google Assistant

DISH offers a voice remote that is compatible with the Google Assistant. This has been done by integrating the smart assistant directly into each DISH set-top box. Users can change channels, open apps, search for specific actors or shows, ask questions, and even manage daily tasks like adding food items to the shopping list. Other features include a remote locator, backlit keys, and the ability to personalize specific hotkeys.

Does Not Offer NFL Sunday Ticket

While DISH does not offer NFL Sunday Ticket, customers/sports fans can get the Multi-Sports Pack which includes the NFL Network and the NFL RedZone.

Weather Conditions Can Affect The Signal

As many customers have noticed, a satellite dish is affected by the weather. Storms, clouds, and snow will all mess with the TV signal. While this isn’t a problem for cable TV, DISH customers should be prepared to deal with this. However, customers can still watch their DVR recordings during short-term outages.

The Bottom Line

Customers who want all the bells and whistles from their TV provider should definitely look into DISH. The company offers reasonably priced TV packages — each with a great channel lineup and a 2-year price guarantee — 24/7 live and award-winning customer service, the industry’s most advanced DVR system, and the ability to watch and record shows on a mobile device with the app. As far as getting your money’s worth with DISH there are plenty of options.

Customers should be aware of all DISH’s current network fees. However, the company is transparent about all its fees and customers can easily find them on the website.

DISH doesn't offer NFL Sunday Ticket. However, if this isn’t a deal-breaker, then DISH is an excellent choice.

We recommend customers call or visit the site to see what offers and promotions DISH has to offer.

Called June 10 to cancel my service. This was noted on my account but they didn’t cancel it. They charged me for 2 months. I called again on July 15 and was promised a refund. Never got it. Called July 24 and was told “the previous representative lied to me”. The request for refund was never sent. Now I’m told it will take 19 days for a refund. I’m a senior citizen on a limited income. When I asked how I should buy food until then, I was told there was nothing they could do. Corporate has not responded.

If I could give them negative stars I would. Horrible customer service and do not honor thier warranties. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DISH OUTDOORS! I had a king pro satellite for 4 months and then it no longer worked. After hours with tech support, it was indicated it was a faulty satellite. It is under warranty and I was transferred and given multiple numbers and still never able to contact a person about a replacement. They have not been able to help me and the warranty is useless. If I could give them negative stars I would. They refuse to help in any way and refuse to honor warranties and send you to a third party (PACE) that goes to voicemail and never returns your call. Have never been able to get my equipment replaced and only worked for a few months. I have filed complaints with BBB and FCC. I am very disappointed with customer service as well as the company.

The service was okay in the sense that it didn't freeze up too often but it did freeze up and then what really upset me was I had my account set up for automatic payment monthly and for some reason one month they did not take it out so when I noticed and I called a few days later they said that okay we can go and make the payment almost double of what I was paying, I said well no that's not how much it's only this much and they informed me that because I had missed a payment (I forgot what they called it but it was similar to this...) always on time discount was now not valid. To which I said, but I didn't miss a payment I have my ACH set up in the money is and was in there your automated system or whoever does your monthly billing missed it. And I when I went I had to get a manager and they still said that it is now in the computer system that I missed one and they couldn't do anything about it and I find that very ridiculous so they lost a customer because it was their fault not mine and I'm not paying double for their screw up.

After being a loyal Directv customer for over a decade, I was finally enticed by DISH’s low rates and was drawn over to the dark side. What I quickly learned was Directv must have a patent on everything user-friendly. Because DISH is the exact opposite of user-friendly. DISH is the nemeses of user-friendly. Two clicks here, aux button there, touch your toes, twirl around, wave a sock in the air. AARRGH! Even the closed caption on DISH is annoying (it’s on banners). After hours of frustration, my eyes glazed over as I sat in front of my TV with a dazed look of bewilderment, trying to sort through the confusion. I found myself clenching my fists, eye brows extended, temples twitching. Let the madness STOP!! Sadly, the damage is done. I’m locked in for three years.

The good part is I have actually learned how to use the settings and other aspects of the T.V. and remote. I don't bother calling anymore when DISH reliably shuts down /freezes/ needs to download/start up again 10 minutes before a 2-hour movie concludes. I am subscribed to 2 add-on services: MAX/HBO and Starz. According to customer service I am not subscribed to Starz (put have been billed for it monthly) and have yet to see the second season of 'Just like that,' now in its 5th episode. I have yet to see any listing on demand. My bill increased by $40 dollars and when investigated it was for an add on of Paramount plus and Disney--never would I think of those services and purchasing them. A technician came out recently and admitted he won't use DISH. Why haven't I cancelled? I am undergoing treatment for cancer. I finish next Monday and when I feel well enough DISH will be a distant and unpleasant memory.

Once again tonight I lost my Dish connection for the thrice monthly down time. I lose about an hour a month, always when I've had a good day and just want to unwind. I've written poor reviews about Dish before, and I would leave it at that, but it happens so regularly that I feel compelled to renew my complaint. And don't ever let them replace anything for you if you want your subscription to expire so you can escape the Dish Empire. I made that mistake and they tacked on another year. I signed the paper for the technician, but he never told me that meant I was signing on for an additional twelve months. Beware, it is in the fine print. I would love it if Dish went out of business so I could be free from their grasp. I endure the sixty minutes of no TV a month and when my 24 months has finally passed I'll find a much better deal. Long review, but Dish will treat you like an unwanted step child as soon as they have your signature. Dishonest and poor quality.

DISH is by far the WORST of the various satellite tv service providers. You get the least choices, pay the most, have terrible customer service, I haven't had my CBS station for 5 months, now have lost my locals. Am constantly having to restart or refresh (pull plug) when I lose the picture. And I hate hate that after a few hours, it goes off "Live" TV and I have to keep clicking the remote to keep it going, when I like to have it on in the background when I'm cooking or doing chores, etc. DISH SUCKS. When am I going to get my locals back???? Meanwhile, they've got me tied up with a 2 year contract and huge cutoff penalty fee. Bastards!!!

It is 4/2 and I have been attempting to cancel services since 3/16. I have called and emailed several times. The cancellation process has been long and drawn out. I have been trying to get a final balance due, if any, and have received four different answers as to what I owe. I am being charged for unreturned equipment even though I requested shipping materials to return equipment and was told in an email that it would take 30-60 days to receive the shipping items. I spoke to a customer service representative just now, who after hearing many various stories about his life, that he has a black belt, a mother with a green thumb, and a dog phobia, told me he could send the shipping materials in 7 business days. I have to call customer service back again to find out a final amount due when I receive the return shipping information and boxes and wait for Dish to receive them back. 0 out of 10, I would not recommend service with Dish to even my worst enemy. This has been time

I have been a dish network customer for almost a decade. When I was getting ready to move I put my service on hold. When I moved into my new home I called to cancel dish because I can get all the streaming services for much cheaper. they told me that I had signed a 2 yr contract and they had me on record accepting it. i explained to them that I would of never knowingly re-upped my contract especially since i was getting ready to move and that the deal I would of gotten would be running while i was on hold. i explained everything to them and they didn't care. I even let them know that at the very least I was misled, but once again they said there was nothing they could do and charged me over $300 termination fee. i asked could they at least reduce it since it was obviously not what i wanted to do and have been a loyal customer for over 9 years. they couldn't do anything. i am done with dish network for life. i will never do business with this company again.

Been with Dish almost 2 years (22 months to be exact). After signing up initially they rolled out new equipment but I could “pay” to upgrade. Called to cancel several months ago due to increased cost and old equipment and was hit with the $20 a month to get out of contract mess. Finally got fiber internet in my neighborhood so after it was installed I called to cancel again. For a week, 2 hour wait times, others I know also canceling had same issue. Did the call back option last week and an hour later someone called only to route me to another extended wait - pointless. Finally waited 80 minutes today to be chastised about my time with dish. The rep started out excited and talkative but once I explained I wanted to cancel it was all downhill and down to business. So APPARENTLY you have to pay $20 to receive a cardboard box and mail the equipment back. 1 box per item so $40 for me. Nowhere to deliver or drop off equipment and no way around this. Total scam! Based on how many are on long wait times, lots jumping ship.

Dish Network is horrible if you live anywhere that gets any kind of rain or snow. Service instantly dies and their customer service team says to just deal with it and watch DVR. No I pay for actual live TV service and they can't provide that if it isn't sunny outside. Don't waste your time or money with them. I have a small amount of snow...measly 3" of snow right now and service is out. They say it's a major weather event. No it's not! I live in the NE of the US. We always get snow. 3" isn't a major weather event. Noone at Dish seemed to care and when I said I want to cancel they said ok here is your termination fee. Nope!! Not going to happen. Maybe they should tell customers that if they could ever get snow falling maybe they shouldn't get Dish Network. Oh also if it rains or there is a breeze your service won't work either. Don't believe them when they say our service is great...and service is always restored quickly if it does go out...that's crap. Mine has been out all day due to a little snow! Save your money and get streaming services or cable I'd give zero stars if I could. They do have one amazing customer service girl...Ashley I think...sweet girl from Kentucky. She is great...the rest don't even care

If a "zero" rating was possible, that would be my more honest assessment. Signed up for DISH because of $400 MC "rebate" and my perception DISH network would do more thorough one app searches. My hopper went down, each and every time I used it, programming searches were more of an encumbrance than streaming, generally ease of use was more difficult. I called and cancelled offering to pay $186 to terminate contract. I immediately returned and received confirmation that all hardware had been received by DISH. Four Customer Service people all read me the same info from their sheets, refusing to either listen to my proposal or negotiate a contract settlement. DISH then proceeded to charge my Credit Card. DISH is NOT the way to go, folks. They have no idea of customer service in 2022. I'll now be spending every chance I get, in the future, to more fully explain my dissatisfaction with DISH, each and every chance i get, until the day I die.

I've had Dish for the past few years at a second home. When it works things are fine. To go from what Dish refers to as "vacation mode" to reactivating service again, you must call Dish service. Thats where the nightmare begins. 20-30 on hold to talk to a real person. I've just sold that property and I'm now trying to cancel my service. On hold 32 minutes than call disconnected. Called again. This time ONLY 30 minute wait and got a real person. He verified my information than said he had to transfer me to the correct dept. Another 15 minutes on hold to be told once more I had to be transferred once again. I got mad and hung up. Looked up corporate office and called. Same story there. Only offer the same number that gets you a 30 wait time. Dish isn't worth the aggravation. Can I give minus stars?

I have been a dish customer for over 20 years. Never been late or missed a payment. We bundled our account with windstream 16 yrs ago. We ended up selling our 2nd home and unbundled. Windstream took out the entire dish bill but didn’t pay dish the full amount which they took out of my checking acct jun 2, I’ve been trying to get this straight but neither company will help or cares. You can’t speak to someone who actually knows something. I will be cutting the cord because no one will help me. My advice is don’t bundle and if you want to talk to someone who can fix or even attempt to try to fix a problem, dish is not your company. I’m done but they don’t care. It’s funny in the United States of America, businesses don’t care about paying long term customers. My question then is where are they getting their money? Subsidies from our taxes? I have never missed a payment windstream paid $83.18 on 6/23/22, I paid them $167.59 for dish on 6/2/22. Where is my $. I have the statement from the bank. To keep my service on I’ve paid dish a total of $391.04. For June and July. These numbers are wrong and their math is wrong. I’m done no more $ all because a human couldn’t help a customer. Good luck to anyone new who goes down this road!

I was a Dish Customer for over 20 years. We live rural and satellite TV was our only choice. The only internet was 3mb DSL over phone lines. We were finally able to get decent internet and decided to switch to streaming TV instead of satellite TV. When I called to cancel my service they tried to tell me that I was under contract for another year... I had been a customer for over 20 years and was perplexed as to how or why I would still be under contract. I was told it was because they had to replace my satellite reciever the previous year. Now this is we're I got really upset because I had been paying the extra money all of these years for equipment protection. They told me in order to cancel my service with them that I would have to buy out the remainder my contract which I did it cost me nearly $250. I did this instead of arguing with them because the person on the otherside was only stating that that they could do nothing to help you unless unless I payed. So I paired and I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, it took over 6 months but I got my money back...

We have been DISH users for nearly 10 years only because they are the only provider in our area. Not once during that time has the customer been first. They do not monitor the age of equipment and/or offer to replace before it dies. Our most current issue: primary box had fatal error meaning we can not record, pause, go back, go forward, can only watch prime time recordings from primary box, will have to re-enter all of our favorite recordings set up, and DISH will not expedite delivery of new box or provide a delivery date. The only positive I have to say about DISH is they have live chat so it is not necessary to speak to live person and listen to them read canned responses. Our bill continues to climb - is nearly $200/month with NO premium channels. They have never allowed a credit no matter how long ALL paid for services are not available. Our bill is set up for auto pay so they get their money on time no matter how poor the service is. My next correspondence is to the FCC and both my state and federal representatives.

I regret getting Dish, have only had it 3 months and nothing but problems! On demand only works about half the time. If it does work, it often freezes constantly! The Hopper needs reset at least once a week to function properly! Their billing is crazy! I asked that a bill be mailed before service started. It took me 3 months to get a bill. Then they claimed I owed for a month I'd paid for! Out of total frustration and risking no television, I paid the full amount to bring the account current! I should not have a payment due until June 2nd. Somehow I suspect something will come up! They also applied a service contract without my consent! I'll be going back to Xfinity as soon as I can!

This company is an absolute ripoff. At the beginning of April I was moving to a new home and I looked into dish network. I set up installation which was to take place on April 9th. I moved on April 8th and that day I realized someone had stolen $1,500 out of my bag. I contacted all of the extra companies that were to be doing connection at my home that weekend. I contacted dish Network was guaranteed by a customer service representative that my install would be placed on hold and that I would not be charged any amount of money until I was ready for connection. The very next day, they took almost $170 out of my account. We are now at April 22nd and I'm still fighting to get my money back. By them removing money from my account unauthorized they also cost me to go in the negative in the bank account due to someone stealing my money and not having money in my account for them to take money. So now I have paid $70 and overdraft fees I'm still out the $170 they took from me and was told by a representative today they have exhausted all avenues and basically it doesn't look like I'm going to get my money back. I want everyone to be aware this company does not care about their customers or their potential customers all they care about is stealing your money.

Do you like to watch things such as the Olympics? You WON'T GET TO with Dish Network! And, when you want to express your frustration for the lack of basic cable channels, they will suggest you do their dirty work and complain to TEGNA to demand that they give Dish a better deal for the channel, what kind of business asks their customers to go begging on their behalf, DISH network, that's who. Guess which other networks still allows you to watch NBC and won't have you calling other companies to complain on their behalf, Xfinity, Direct TV, etc. This move should be the end of Dish, but they have their customers by contract and they play on that to the tune of >$400 if you wish to cancel to do something simple like watch the Olympics when you pay $100 a month for cable! GETTING DISH WAS THE WORST DECISION, I WILL DROP THEM IMMEDIATELY ONCE THE CANCELLATION FEES ARE SO HIGH, DON'T GET LIED TO, GO TO ANOTHER CABLE SERVICE.

This provider has some clear dishonest and predatory practices. I'd caution anyone -- especially those who are elderly -- to stay away from this provider. They falsified a contract, signing MY name below terms I never got the chance to see/review. In short, I put my account "on freeze" for a few months while I traveled, and when I came back, was told I had to pay $35 MORE per month to get local channels. Local channels! This fee was never disclosed, but apparently I signed a contract (I didn't), so, they get to do whatever they want. There was a missed opportunity when I put the account on hold to disclose/review these terms, but that didn't happen. They conveniently forgot to go over what would happen when I took my account off freeze. Calling Dish TV to talk about their dishonest business model gets you nowhere -- especially if you talk with Nicole who didn't seem to see anything wrong with the above AND then hung up on me. Amazing. Keep preying on the elderly, guys. And keep signing contracts for them. Top-notch business.

I’ve been a DISH customer for over 6 years and am now completely disgusted with their service and respect for their “valued” customers. They don’t care, at all. They take away multiple channels, features, etc and in return want you to pay $20+ more a month. Like…. What?! That doesn’t make sense to ANYONE. I’m willing as a customer to pay exactly what I’ve been locked into for the last 2 years, even losing packages, channels, etc. But for you to charge me an extra $20 for LESS is insane. I also referred 2 family members to DISH within the last year and that still doesn’t help with honoring long time customers. For the past 3 months I’ve been on and off the phone with DISH trying to come to an agreement. They all told me call back there will be a better offer. The last one said call back at the beginning of the year and there will for sure be better offers. LIES! I called back and they were much worse. They lead you on. They lie, deceive, and are dishonest. DO NOT do business with them unless you like being lied to and disrespected. You would think that if they are offering you less in a package they would compensate you somehow instead of charging you wayyyy more saying that is their best “offer.” They lost my business and will lose my parents and in-laws business as well. BYE DISH!

So far, not impressed. They keep removing channels but yet do not add channels or compensate for channels removed. All local channels including NBC was in our package when we signed up for Dish Network which we are still paying full price for our package. It’s football season, NFL that airs on NBC, we are unable to watch due to Dish Network removing NBC. We can only watch NFL that is scheduled to air on NBC by subscribing and paying for alternate streaming and or a designated sorts programming. As soon as our contract is up we are out. If you like your football, don’t bother with Dish Network! I had to give at least one star in order to continue the review. If given the choice, zero stars!

If it were possible I would not even give one star. I asked very specific questions about specific stations when I signed up. I was promised channels that they didn't even have a current contract with. When I complained they said that it was an independent representative so they were not responsible for the lies and could not release me from my contract without fees. Then they dropped our local sports, the main reason we even have a TV service in the first place. Again, they will not let you out of your contact without huge fees because programming is subject to change. They are the worst because THEY ARE LIARS, GIGANTIC LIARS! AVOID ANY CONTRACT WITH THEM!

Dish is the worst. To begin with- they up charge you, raise rates, and have lots of hidden fees. Anytime there is bad weather it completely goes out. I had to pause my account when I moved because the new place would not allow dishes. When i finally canceled the account I was told I would be charged for equipment not returned. I had already returned the equipment- after searching for a while the agent told me that, yes, i had returned the equipment and would not be charged. I still received emails saying I needed to return equipment so I called back and spoke with an agent who, again, told me i would not be charged. UPS showed up looking for my equipment to be returned. I called Dish and, again, was insured I would not be charged as they had it in their records I had already returned the equipment. Yesterday I get an email saying I was charged for unreturned equipment- 45 minutes later after getting a supervisor on the phone I was told there was nothing in my file showing my equipment was returned and there was nothing to be done about the charge, regardless of the fact that 3 separate agents had informed me 3 separate times on 3 45 minute phone calls that I would not be charged. Dell customer services, policies, and management is unorganized, inefficient, and just plain awful. As a customer I never should have had to jump through these hoops for a problem on their end- that never did get resolved. I will never be using Dish again, nor recommending it.

I wish that I could give zero stars. I was with Dish for 15 years. It just became too pricey and not worth the $180 it cost me per month. I decided to drop them. They kept me on hold for over an hour. They kept switching me to different reps and promised me everything to stay. They even asked me to give my account to a NEIGHBOR! At this point, I wanted to disconnect NO MATTER WHAT! ! When I wouldn't stay with them, they told me that I was in a contract (after 15 years!) I had to have my DVR replaced last year because I was hit by lightning. They said that this trade for a working DVR entered me into a new contract. I argued for a while but they DID NOT CARE. I still canceled. I also canceled the automatic payment. I guess I'll have to dispute the information that will be sent to the credit bureau. THEY DO NOT WANT YOU TO LEAVE and will try any cutthroat way to keep you as a customer.

These people are crooks. I had ordered the NBA package last year not this year. With the NBA the way it is and being broke I can't afford it nor want it. They auto charged me for it $200. I didn't even realize I had it either. I hadn't watch any games. Went to pay the bill and seen the charge. I contacted them and they said no problem we can take it off. They didn't. I called back and again was told yes it will be taken off. They didn't. Called a 3rd time to be told they can not take it off that I have to pay for it. So now I pay or get my TV shut off. Horrible service. To lose a long time customer over $200 is sad. Oh well. Stay clear of them people.

My 2 year contract expired 2 months ago and my bill went from 110 a month to 150 a month. Called about the continuing lack of regional sports networks fox sports Florida and fix sports sports sun that have been off air for almost a year now. My bill was never adjusted to reflect the loss of my regional sports that are part of what I am paying for . I spoke with the retention department and was offered a 30.00 a month credit but with a 12 month commitment. Why would I take that weak offer. I have been paying for channels I have not been getting and have had a 40.00 a month increase after my 2 year commitment expired and now dish offers me 30.00 a month off but wants to lock me into another year? No way will I agree to that . That is not customer friendly and dish does not care about retaining customers! No wonder they are losing subscribers left and right. Do not sign up with dish. You will be screwed with network contract disputes between dish and the networks and you will be left holding the bag as the consumer. Dish does not care about their customers!!

Unhappy Dish Customer Chicago, IL

I contacted Dish because I was switched over to electronic billing without my consent which has resulted in a total nightmare with billing and late fees. We spoke with a Dish representative for over an hour, made a payment and thought we were all set. We were not told, however, that we were only making a partial payment. We never received anything indicating an additional payment was due, so received yet another late fee. The whole process has been extremely confusing and the representatives are unable to provide detailed information that is important to know, and help you understand billing and services. The supervisor that I spoke to, sounded extremely bored and uninterested in helping. He sounded like he was just reading a standard response from a script. This whole experience with Dish has been horrible, and started with Dish arbitrarily changing us from paper to electronic billing. Extremely disappointed.

Don't you hate when you read a contract after you have signed it and it has crazy stuff you never would have agreed with just to watch sports. Here is an excerpt from the contract I signed. ***You acknowledge and agree that DISH has the right to, without notice at any time and from time to time (including, without limitation, during any term commitment to which you have agreed), add, delete, rearrange, alter, change and/or eliminate: (A) any and all prices, fees and/or charges; and/or (B) packages, programming, programming suppliers, services offered by suppliers, software, applications, features and/or functionalities. ***You further acknowledge and agree that DISH has the right to, without notice at any time (including, without limitation, during any term commitment to which you have agreed), change your payment terms if you fail to make payments by your payment due date. ***You are still bound by this Agreement (including, without limitation, the RCA) if you change your residence. ***Do not sign this Agreement until you have read the entire Agreement (including, without limitation, the RCA).*** Lol, They changed my due date to two weeks after I received the installation and when my twenty four months was up they billed me for the two week before I was due. Two week before I was due. Oh. You will also sign a paragraph that states you can not sue them in court for their crappy service. Beware my friends, beware. Its totally not worth it.

Was a DISH customer for six years...rates continued to increase each year...NBC was blacked out due to contract dispute with Scripps for over 6 weeks. When I called to cancel my service because I found better rates and customer service with Directv....Dish charges me an early termination fee because when I upgraded my receiver 9 months before it automatically renewed my contract for 2 years. I never received any type of credit for not having a major network for 6 weeks but Dish had no problem charging me an early termination fee. When I called to complain they told me that if I had called while my service was still active they would have credited my $5 for not having NBC. Steer clear of Dish...contact Directv instead.

Dish is horrible!!! Do not waste your money. Find any other option. I have been with them for over 10 years on a basic plan. I just upgraded to their hopper and 200plus channels. I was told there were hundreds of free movies. LIES- maybe found maybe 25 free movies. All the others you have to pay for. Tried to record some programs and only a few recorded correctly. What a waste of money. I went from paying $32 a month to paying over $120 dollars worth of crap. You have to sign a two year contract to find out what you really get. I knew within 6 hours of having the upgrade that it was a HUGE WASTE OF MONEY!!!! But no way to cancel the plan. Be forewarned avoid Dish tv

my neighbor and I have Dish, and he was getting his serviced, he told the Tech to make sure that I did not loose service. well my service went out and at NO point in time did the Tech ever make me aware in any way and that was at after 9 am and at 6 pm same evening TODAY I still have no service. I contact Dish customer service and they tell me I have to pay a additional 95 dollars to have a tech restore it. makes no sense because the Tech was the one that messed it it up and I work 6 days a week and on 7th I go over to take care of my 85 yr old mother, so I have no time but in the evening. they want me to Loose 466.67 of my pay and them pay a additional 95 dollars for the tech , and they will not credit me for the time I have no service BUT I still have to pay the whole Months bill 30 days for 2 days of service. when inquired about cancellation OH that's going to cost 125.16. and all this because of a Tech not providing responsible and attentive detail to what was told to him. I am liable because of the contract to pay it so I am out 782.16 dollars to Dish because of their own Techs failure to do the job right,

Sales rep promised Dish would work with my smartTV. It does not work with LG smartTVs. That in and of itself didn't make me mad, I thought, easy mistake. But when I called a couple days after installation to say "yeah, it doesn't work like you said it would, I'll need to cancel" they informed me that even though the product could not do what they said it could, they would still charge me $400+ in early termination fees to cancel. Are you kidding me? How has no one taken these guys to court yet? I'm stuck with a product I can't use for a year. If you are thinking of buying, Don't do it! It's not worth the risk, something goes wrong-even on their end-and they will stick it to you. There is no desire to be fair or make the customer happy. It's a scam protected by legal fine print.

We were customers for 20+ years. After moving from ND to SD I was trying to find the best possible program choice with DISH. I had used the chat feature and thought I had found what we wanted so I called them. On the phone call I was given more options that I wanted to discuss with our family. One week later I called back. Due to calling DISH twice in one month, a flag was placed on our account. This year my husband and I were out of the US when our bill was due. I emailed DISH and asked if the late fee could be removed from our account and I never heard back from them. So I decided to take a chance and call them. After being transferred to three different customer service reps, I was told that because of the flag on our account there would be no grace given for the late fee and no way to get this flag removed. All because I dared to call DISH twice in one month! We have never been late paying in 20+ years of being customers. So much for customer service.! Also, because our account was on hold until we settled in SD we had to start on a new contract with DISH. We have 5 months left on the 2 year contract so it will cost us $100 to get out of the contract and find another place to get our TV through. If I could give DISH a lower rating than one star, I would. Very discouraged and disappointed with all things DISH.

NEVER AGAIN. I sold my camp in northern NH in January. I called Dish in November and told them to cancel my service. The rep was rude, tried to upgrade my service, tried everything to stop me from turning it off. Unknown to me, he put on temporary hold thru Jan. at $9.95/mo. When I saw the charges, I called again in January, refused to pay and told them I had called to shut it off and the agent didn't do what I asked. This agent also did not want me to turn it off and offered to move the service to my home. I refused. In Feb, I got a bill for service, called again, same BS. Got another bill in March. This time I flipped out when I called....went up the chain a little and got some moron higher up. He also tried to get me to switch my service to my home....again I refused and demanded the service be discontinued. Jump to May, I get another bill and this time they charged a card they had on file from an earlier equipment upgrade....completely UNAUTHORIZED! My bank is refunding that money and taking it back from Dish. THEY ARE THIEVES, it's that simple. Still trying to charge me for service at a place I don't own and they have their equipment back!

I have been a paying customer of Dish network about 15 or more years. They now install Nest security cameras. Do not, do not let Dish install your Nest security camera. They do not stand behind this. I had a camera installed it was very expensive. The camera quit working on day 5 and they would not honor a service call. And Nest does not stand by the product either. They do not have tech that will come to your house and repair or replace the camera. They want you to do it with a tech o er the phone. When that didn’t work they hung up on us. We had to call another company and pay another fee. DO NOT use Dish for this product.

Switched to Dish only because of the dish anywhere app, which we would use on firestick. We used other tv apps (hulu, youtube tv, sling) and the quality was great but lack of favorite channels and restrictions on watching on vacation made us think dish was the way to go. DISH ANYWHERE quality of resolution/constant buffering is AWFUL and UNWATCHABLE. We signed up on Wednesday and Saturday went to our 2nd home. We have high internet speeds there (100 download, 5.5 upload) and all other services we tried (see above) worked fine so I know the problem is wish dish anywhere. Called on Sunday and they wouldn't let us cancel. Dish anywhere was the ONLY reason we switched to Dish and they do not stand behind their product. I'm not paying for something I can't use (constantly stopping and buffering, sports unwatchable, has circle in middle all the time) so I'm going to probably have my credit hit hard. Never not paid before but this is stupid crazy. If watching away from home is important, stay away!

After being a Dish Customer for almost 10 years, we decided to go with Roku to lower our costs(1/3 price of Dish). Boxes were sent to wrong state. The third time I called, they resent the boxes. At that time, the Rep was asked if I was going to be charged and was told the answer was not until 30 days after I get the boxes(first lie). Seven days later I got the boxes, next day I got charged 398 dollars for the equipment. I called and spoke to a rude rep, and after no luck I asked to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor wasn't any help either. Nothing they can done until equipment is returned. If I would have known that the first time, I would have paid to have the equipment returned. I then contacted the chat line through Dish, and the rep said yes, she would reverse the charge and they would be removed in 24 hours ( lie number 2). I called 24 hours later, and was told that is not correct, the charges would be reversed 7 to 10 business days after they recieved the equipment. Having been such a loyal customer for such a long time, it would have been nice to be treated better. I was left with such a bad experience, that I would never go back to Dish. So long Dish, nothing but bad comments from now on.

If it were possible to not give any stars I would. I HATE Dish! My husband is the only reason we still have this service...it’s only been 3 months. I would gladly pay another company more money just to not have to deal with Dish and their crappy equipment. If you do decide to get Dish, don’t get the wireless Joey boxes. They are TERRIBLE! If you are watching a show series, you can’t just easily go to the next show. My box will either take me back to live tv or go through a series of updates. I have to go back into OnDemand just to watch the next show. Of course you don’t have this issue with the wired box. I wish I had opted to have holes drilled into my house just so I didn’t have to deal with this inconvenience. I also read on the site how they say their satellite almost never goes out. WRONG! Every time it rains or the wind blows the wrong way it goes out. I really don’t know how this company is ranked #1. I can’t say anything about customer service, bc I have never wanted to call them, but I will say the tech that came out to install the equipment was extremely nice...maybe that’s why they rank so highly. They hire people with great customer service skills instead of having quality equipment that works like it’s supposed to.

This company rips people off! After talking to the agent and a manager, no one was of any help! I paused my service because I couldnt afford it and wasnt using it and was divorcing and moved out. The best that could be offered was to put it on hold for 9 months. After my account is off hold, now all the sudden my monthly service cost is double?! $495 to cancel my satellite tv at a house I dont live in?!! Terrible customer service. After choosing Dish 4 1/2 years ago and being a loyal customer, I expected much better. I will NEVER use Dish again and will let my friends, family, BBB and online reviews know the disappointment in the company.

DISH TV is an inferior product. They lie went selling their product. They do not stand behind their product. They sent a service Tech., the Tech agrees the picture quality is poor to your face then writes in note picture good equipment set-up correctly. Along with other lies, like offer to move satellite location, however customer refused. Corporate will not let you out of contract, stating picture quality is not a reason to terminate contract. They claim the service Tech. Has no reason to lie in his notes. Bad people working for a bad company. They are scamming the public. Government needs to investigate. Steer clear!

I used to prefer Dish. Not anymore. These last couple years since we went back to Dish, has been beyond frustrating. A few weeks ago, Dish contacted me and said they saw how it goes out quite often. YOU sent technician to my home and he found whomever installed it had used the original cables, and didn't bother putting in new ones for Dish service. So the technician ran all new cables. NOW, it STILL goes out 3 to 4 times a week. I am stuck in bed, yet these "technicianover the phone want me to go to the livingroom and restart this or unplug this HOPPER, because my "JOEY" keeps losing connectivity. 4:30 in the orning, and of course you're not open, and the people who are there, want me to keep running around my house. Without a doubt, the WORST service and equipment ever. I blew up at the poor guy tonight, who once again wants me to go to the Hopper, and to him I apologize, I realize it isn't his fault he works for such a crummy company. I would like to cancel my Dish service, AFTER someone who knows something about this Hopper and Joey calls me back. I will gladly bring the Hopper and Joeys and throw them through someones window. Maybe then, they might actually work.

January 5, 2020 I decided to try Dish because it was suppose to be more economical I was told by the rep. I wish I would have read other reviews because it would have helped. They do not make you aware that there is no trial period. I'm convinced that this is how they are staying in business. No 14 day trial period for cancelling the service if they don't meet their claims. I did not like the service at all. It was very unorganized and not user friendly in any way. I do not like having such a hard time finding shows in clusters of blocks that made no sense. And not knowing clearly what I'm being charged for as far as movies, and what I'm not. The only thing cheap about it is the format, programming, and service. I went back to DirecTV. My bill wasn't as much and the service is excellent in comparison, and actually way more affordable. I'll never switch again. I've never had problems with DirecTV's service and it's so much more user friendly and organized. The equipment also is like night and day. DirecTV's equipment is top notch quality, while Dish's looks like cheap plastic. Dish looses signal the first sight of rain or bad weather. I've never had that problem with Direct TV unless a major storm that has the lights out as well. When I called to cancel Dish, I was treated badly and told I would be charged over $500 for having the service less than a month. Then they claimed I had it over a month, which was not true. They withheld $480 from my account unauthorized and not informed, though I had tried to comply by calling 2 times to request boxes for equipment that I had not received. I've disputed charges with my bank and feel the privacy of my account information has been compromised with no warning they were taking it from my account. I will never use this service again and would not recommend that anyone else does. Very low quality equipment, very low customer service to get answers and help, and conditions that very much take advantage of their customers. I'm writing this review on the DirecTV reviews as well. Russellville, AR. Very Unsatisfied Customer.

I left direct tv because they were more expensive.  I have had dish less then 2 hrs. First dish told me I got the best deal for the 120 (190) channels however I just seen on the internet 59.99 for 2yrs, my best deal is 81.00 a mo. So that was a lie.  The big thing for me is that I also was told that I could add my cabin once dish was installed at my house.  It was installed this morning.  I call several dish numbers to only get the runaround.  I was transferred 4 times on the chat, the first call 4 times and this last time I just gave up after 3 time and on hold for the 4th transfer.  They want me to have a second account for our cabin.  I was not told that and I will not do that.  I was told to call to have dish installed at the cabin once it was installed at my home.  I can not get anyone to help me.  I do not know how you say your customer service is rated the top.  Direct TV is much easier to deal with.  I am so very disappointed at the misleading of your sales people and your customer service.  No one should ever be transferred 10 times and still not have any results. I wish I would have stayed with direct!

I have had the most unsatisfactory experience with Dish Network. I have been a Dish customer for many years. 13 months ago, Dish contacted me and offered to upgrade the equipment. The new equipment was comprised of a hopper and 2 joeys to serve 3 TVs. The sales rep offered a discounted service at $34.01/mo for a period of 12 months and said that his system would not allow him to offer the promotion for a longer period. He also suggested that I call back in 12 months to get an automatic extension for an additional 12 months. After 12 months, the monthly subscription suddenly jumped to $69.01. I called Dish and asked the customer service rep to honor the sales rep's promise. He flatly refused stating that there was no such note in the system and that he would train that sales rep to not repeat such a mistake. Customer service rep made no effort to help me. So, I told him to cancel the service at which point he said that I must pay a termination fee of $220. This is egregious and I find this to be a very customer unfriendly organization. I have refused to pay the termination fee on the basis that they failed to keep their promise. Stay away from Dish. They are not nice people.

This network completely has a mind of its own and it gets very frustrating. When i call anyone on phone they barley speak English and are rude and misguiding. . Im trapped because they won't let me cancel without taking as much money as they can from me. I had Dish services in South Carolina my family had to move to New Mexico for medical reasons and we searched for a place to live and the only affordable apartment complex didn’t accept any satellite dishes anymore. So I’m stuck paying their ridiculous cancellation fee they won’t agree on a payment plan which I have tried on numerous occasions to arrange payment plans they of course refuse to accept. Threatening me every day with collections either way I will pay the fee in installments so I’ll just pay collections since Dish doesn’t want their money. This company is the worst to come to an agreement plus this whole situation wasn’t my fault. I have never once told them I wasn’t going to pay! I hate these people!
