With select packages, customers will receive a free 3 month trial of premium channels from SHOWTIME, STARZ, and Disney Movie Pack.

*After 3 months you will be billed $30 per month unless you call and cancel.

DISH High-Speed Internet Add-Ons

One of the advantages of investing in DISH TV is the additional discounts that you will receive when you bundle your service with other services offered by DISH. For those that add high-speed internet to their DISH TV plans, pricing can start as low as $20 per month. This high-speed internet service will provide speed for surfing, streaming, and gaming.

*Internet services and pricing are subject to availability and some restrictions apply. For more information, it would be advantageous to speak with DISH customer service representative

Whole-Home HD DVR

The Hopper 3, DISH’s award-winning Whole-Home HD DVR and secondary receivers allow customers to watch TV in any room in the house. Users can start watching a show in the living room and when they get tired can pause and resume the show once they’re in bed. Customers can also say goodbye to recording conflicts as DISH lets customers record 16 programs at once. Perhaps one of the most unique features from the Hopper 3 is the ability to watch four channels at once.

For customers with more than 2-3 TV’s in their home, DISH offers a small but powerful complimentary receiver, Joey. A Joey connects multiple TV’s in the home with the Hopper to help create what DISH calls a “whole-home entertainment experience.” The Joey has all the same benefits as the Hopper and can either be wired or wireless.

*All offers require credit qualification, 24-month commitment with early termination fee and eAutoPay. Prices include Hopper Duo for qualifying customers. The Hopper, Hopper with Sling or Hopper 3 is $5 per month or more. Upfront fees may apply based on your credit qualification

Free Professional Standard Installation

Unlike most service providers, DISH will mount the satellite dish and install the Whole-Home DVR system for free. The company is extremely transparent about what customers can expect on their installation day and what the installation includes.

Customers can expect their DISH technician to:

  • Conduct a site survey and provide recommendations to where the satellite dish should be placed
  • Assemble and mount the satellite dish
  • Install DISH receivers (Hopper, Joey, etc.) for each television included in the service, in up to 6 rooms
  • Program DISH remotes to work with the TV and DISH Receiver
  • Answer any questions
  • Provide prompt and courteous service

24/7 Customer Service

Because of the company’s focus on customer satisfaction, DISH has technical support agents standing by 24/7 to help troubleshoot, resolve issues, and get customers back to watching their favorite show. DISH has nine call centers located throughout the United States filled with customer service agents who are ready to help answer and resolve any questions.

Voice Remote with the Google Assistant

DISH offers a voice remote that is compatible with the Google Assistant. This has been done by integrating the smart assistant directly into each DISH set-top box. Users can change channels, open apps, search for specific actors or shows, ask questions, and even manage daily tasks like adding food items to the shopping list. Other features include a remote locator, backlit keys, and the ability to personalize specific hotkeys.

Does Not Offer NFL Sunday Ticket

While DISH does not offer NFL Sunday Ticket, customers/sports fans can get the Multi-Sports Pack which includes the NFL Network and the NFL RedZone.

Weather Conditions Can Affect The Signal

As many customers have noticed, a satellite dish is affected by the weather. Storms, clouds, and snow will all mess with the TV signal. While this isn’t a problem for cable TV, DISH customers should be prepared to deal with this. However, customers can still watch their DVR recordings during short-term outages.

The Bottom Line

Customers who want all the bells and whistles from their TV provider should definitely look into DISH. The company offers reasonably priced TV packages — each with a great channel lineup and a 2-year price guarantee — 24/7 live and award-winning customer service, the industry’s most advanced DVR system, and the ability to watch and record shows on a mobile device with the app. As far as getting your money’s worth with DISH there are plenty of options.

Customers should be aware of all DISH’s current network fees. However, the company is transparent about all its fees and customers can easily find them on the website.

DISH doesn't offer NFL Sunday Ticket. However, if this isn’t a deal-breaker, then DISH is an excellent choice.

We recommend customers call or visit the site to see what offers and promotions DISH has to offer.

DISH does not abide by agreement, Military suppose to receive a Free Movie certificate each month. Every month I have to chat with them and ask where is certificate? Then they require you to fill out their form to make sure it is I who is asking where is certificate even when I give account number in the beginning. Even if did it just few days ago, and their Courtesy is very lacking. Jorge G. is very lacking in this department. I asked why not use one I just did 31 Mar, he said only good for few days it's been 12 days what is few days. I will probably cancel service when contract is up or sooner since they do not abide by contract.

For a month I constantly had to reset the hopper. It was recording shows at different times than scheduled and/or shows different from the scheduled recordings. Last week I called four times. Each time they reset but by the next day it was doing the same thing. I finally asked for a tech to check the system. He showed up and this is when I found out that this was a recurring problem. That it was a software glitch that wasn't going to be fixed till April 20th. This interfered with numerous recordings. The staff was very nice but it wasn't until the tech showed up that I found out the problem. The tech was great but I was a little irritated that it was an on going problem and wouldn't be fixed until April 20th. Next time please let us know. I wasted a lot of time and effort.

When I signed up for service I was told I had 14 days from installation to cancel if I was unhappy with the service. They installed on Saturday 7/31 and today 8/4 we had a rain and I lost signal, not a thunderstorm just a just a normal rain. I called Dish to confirm I had 14 days from install to cancel in case I continued to have the problem (I'm in FL & it rains a lot here) and was informed I only had 24 hours from install to cancel. I asked for the name of the person that signed me up and no one could tell me their name or get me to a supervisor for assistance. I was placed on hold for too long & finally hung up.

BUYER BEWARE. Dish likes to promote JD Power, when you need exactly what they Paid JD Power to rate. When the service works, it works well, except they have it programmed to try and have you purchase / rent movie that you did not order, at least weekly. IF you live in an area that has Moderate cloud cover at times, rain, (light, moderate or heavy), any Thunderstorm or wind event, you will lose the signal anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours. We live on east coast, have all the above, plus hurricanes - naturally services goes out when local station issues tornado warning. We elected to go back to FIOS as we never had an outage. The six dollar difference in price, well, we get a signal 24/7/365, not just when it is sunny with no rain or wind.

I contacted DISH to get more information about them. We have DirectTv and are not totally satisfied. The bottom line is the DISH representative was more interested in giving me the hard sell and collecting my financial information than answering my concerns and questions. After many attempts to sign me up and I said that I needed to talk to my wife and also Direct TV to see if I still had contract obligations. I was told rather rudely that I should have done that before I called them. Common sense says that until I had the information about DISH that I was lacking, why bother to call DTV. I ended that call with somewhat of a lecture of if I called back I'd have to start over etc. I bit my tounge but immediately called back to speak to a Supervisor. After being on hold, transferred, dropped and cutoff, l was told that a Supervisor would listen to my conversation and email me. I asked how can they address my issues when I haven't told them why I was calling. I stated that if this is how DISH handles customer concerns, then I really don't want the aggravation. I'm still waiting for a Supervisor to contact me.

I am a long time customer of Dish and love it. But I recently upgraded my whole home theatre system around a 4K TV. When I went to watch the Super Bowl in 4K on Dish I tuned to the 4K channel and found out I need a different receiver. Besides not telling customers that they need different equipment if they want to receive 4K I was even more upset when I called to get the new receiver and was told I would have to pay a $100 upgrade fee to get a new receiver that I would still be leasing. They said I was being given a break from their regular upgrade fee of $350. I told them it was a total ripoff to be charging for something that they should be providing to their customers as soon as it is available. It has really soured me on Dish.

I have been a Dish customer not by choice but a man wandering in my neighborhood showed up at my door after walking the neighborhood scanning each home’s rooftops. We bought the sales pitch and began with a $75.00 programming package after years and years with DirectTV. Well the first few years was great, then began contract problems with HBO, then the rooms with Joeys would disconnect at the climax of any good movie, show, or sports event. I get more 1303 error messages than television. I ignorantly attempted to try out the Multi-sport package and for one month it was a dismal failure of blackouts for my area, “tune to your SD” channel” messages, and absolutely no real sports programming AT ALL. All of the lost channels, broken promises, and increased prices everyone writes on this forum IS the ABSOLUTE TRUTH. One thing is certain: DISH NETWORK will debit your checking account without fail. As for delivering what they advertise, well you might as well buy The Brooklyn bridge because you don’t get what you pay for. Every time a channel is lost they create the CEO video and website stating they’re working on negotiations. Ha ha, been there and done that same ole’ same ole’. The FCC has got us all in a chokehold with these TV and satellite providers. I don’t even want to address customer service because life is too short to deal with incompetent people. Just read the fine print!! And watch your checking account to avoid the ripoff. Give me rabbit ears and an old TV any day.

I switched from Direct TV to Dish due to the constant increases in price for Direct TV. I thought Dish's DVR system would be at least similar to Direct TV since I hadn't read any negative reviews about Dish. Boy, was I wrong! Dish's DVR system has to be the worst I've ever had to deal with which is something that nobody has written about and is not something a person would know until they actually have it installed. Their DVR system is not only quite confusing to use, but if you pause a recording, when you go to replay it, it has already moved forward several minutes so you have to figure out where you left off and rewind to that place (good luck with remembering that!). That happens all the time, and the remote control automatically also fast forwards a show no matter if it's a recording or a live one. Extremely frustrating and time-consuming!!! Also, the fast forward and rewind is terrible. You hardly have any control and have to go back and forth to actually get to where you want to be. I have complained for months and Dish just says they're working on it, but I don't believe them. These software issues should have never been programmed that way and I believe they have known for many years about these problems with their DVR system. They either don't know how to fix them or they just don't care to fix them. Just want the public to be aware of what they're getting when they switch to Dish. Wish someone had written a review with this info before I signed a 2 yr. contract with Dish!!!

There are many channels to choose from & the equipment functions well and quality of picture and sound is good. DISH seems to be suffering from their pain success...equipment fees borderline suspect in that they APPEAR to look for every opportunity to grab some cash. Recently one of my Joey's went bad (after 4 yrs), but instead of sending a replacement, the tech people argued with me for 30 minutes about going through a check system. I finally threatened to cancel and ONLY then would they send me a replacement part. Their stiff-necked approach to dealing with competition is why I cancelled. Streaming services & competitors are adapting to consumer demand, but DISH insists on the customer accepting (& renting) a "channel package". Among all members of our household, we watch ~25 channels. We had to purchase their most expensive plan for those 25 channels. 10 years ago they could do that.... but not any more with HULU, Roku, NEFLIX, Firesticks, etc. Due to their packaging & equipment charges, my bill WITHOUT LOSING CHANNELS was ~$70 higher than I now pay. Buy DISH!

One would think that when signing up for a membership or service you can cancel anytime with only having to pay the amount up until the the next cycle. Well, Dish makes you pay early termination fees for all the months you would have had their service. Not only that, they dont include a warranty for the equipment outside (which for some reason they literally sell to you) in the original price. It has to be added on. What civilian is going to want to keep a satellite dish? What am i gonna do with it? Eat my dinner on it? So, to get it checked out by a tech you either need to pay the $9 fee a month or a $95 fee for the service just to see if the equipment is falty. Im not certain but i have a feeling they'd charge you to replace it or fix it as well. I was with comcast for years and never had anything like this come up, and my mother has had DirectTV for years and no problems like this. In conclusion, the company DISH are thieves! like a lot of other big companies they try to milk you for all you have.

While the channel selection is great, their customer service is awful. It says it has a 24 hour customer service line. Once you call it is says call back when they are open, Mountain Time. I tried the local office, which redirected me to another number, which redirected me to another number, which you guess it... Said call back when they are open Mountain Time. :(

Looks like the pandemic really caused a lot of changes at Dish. If you look at the reviews, you’ll notice most of the good reviews were given 2+ years ago. I also am a long term customer and just talked to Dish about their dropped channels and asked for some type of credit or perk they could give out. They said there was nothing they could do. In the prepandemic era, they would give you movie rentals or free hbo or showtime for 3 months or something, but not now. Keep raising their prices though. Sorry to say that when our contract comes due, we will likely cancel Dish.

They take away channels with no warning and no compensation for loosing them. They say it’s because the local contract has expired. How can a company not anticipate the contract expiration date and have ducks in a row to renew when the time comes. During our 18 months with dish we’ve lost NBC, ESPN (during football season!), and now ABC- for months. Unacceptable! Very poor management. Can’t wait until contract ends.

this service does an update every night around 1 am while you're watching televison. It just shuts down. Its absolutely ridiculous that this occurs every night. Also, CMT channel - is it possible for us customers to NOT have to be forced to watch the Trevor N commercial during each commercial break of EVERY SINGLE SHOW on this channel? its a bit overkill, boring and we're not interested in seeing it repetitively daily. Its irrelevant, and useless.

My wife and I have had Dish for well over a year. How in the WORLD is it possible to have ALL those channels with NOTHING to watch? It is absolutely amazing to me that so much of the content is "commercialized" crap, i.e., advertisements to buy things; then a definite lack of "meat and potatoes" things people really want to watch. Movies are played and repeated over and over. Overall, good reception with little, if any, issues getting the signal, BUT again, what is the use of having all these channels available is most of it is GARBAGE?

1) 75 minute installation window is false advertising. Mine was supposed to be an A.M. installation but they changed it all day, the guys ended up showing up around 5pm. 2) Signed a 2 year contract, then just a couple weeks later, they removed Fox and FS1, 2 MAJOR channels with sports fans in the house. 3) 45 minute wait on hold for customer service in off peak hours. Good service otherwise and decent price. I would try DirectTV instead if I could do it again.

Dish has become a total clown show. I've been with them for 20 years and in my 70's I hate to learn a new system but I'm embarrassed to be their customer. It has been a never ending steam of less channels to watch and more to pay for them. There are fewer HD channels every month and right now they have lost Fox and FS1. Before that it was HBO and the NFL Channel. It never ends with Dish and don't expect to talk to a human if you call up unless you want to pay to add channels. Save yourself a spike in your bloodpressure and look elsewhere.

We were not a customer of DISH for very long. The main reason was that any time there was any kind of wind or rain or snow, our programming would go out. I felt like it was hard to get people to come out when there was a problem. We switched from DISH and didn't seem to have the same problems with the other company. Also, after we cancelled our service, they contacted us non-stop, trying to get us to come back.

Just a warning if you own a Surface Pro. You will not be able to watch dishanywhere on it. It took me about three weeks worth of calls and chats and emails before I was finally able to get this information from them. They do not support and have no intention of adjusting the software to support a Surface Pro. If you travel a lot and want access to your service I highly recommend that you look elsewhere. Very frustrating.

The good: Cheap introductory rates, ease of use. Good DVR service.Good picture when not storming. No COX commercials! The Bad: Storms / weather interfere with picture. No bundled Internet service that works well. Poor customer service. Pushy sales people signing you up for "Free" services which then cost an arm and a leg. Prices that increase rapidly and are almost identical with cable.

When it rains/snows or whatever....DISH DOES go out....coming back 20+ minutes later...missing endings of stories! Also...$5 raise per year with nothing new added... Advertisement for NEW customers is very cheap compared to what I pay monthly.... new customer come-on price with us longer term patrons paying more each year and getting nothing new...this sucks!

I had Dish Net for 11 years. A few months ago Dish sent me a letter informing me that my Receiver was outdated. They also informed me that it would be no cost to me to get a nes receiver supplied by Dish. I call Dish---and they informed me it would cost me 100 dollars for a new receiver after stating in the letter that it would not cost me anything. They lied.

I've been happy with Dish's service however they claim Direct tv raises their prices on customers. So do you! When I signed up I knew about the introductory pricing however, I also went over the regular pricing it would be after the intro pricing was over and it was NOT what it turned into. It's about $30 more than the rep told me it would be. I've spoken to customer service and they stand firm on the price. Don't put other companies down for doing the same thing you do.

Had this company a few years back. Our promotional bill was $30/mo for something like 24 mos. We were 3 months in. They took our automatic payment but we had no service. When I called, they immediately stated the dish had a blocked signal, cords could be loose, etc. I finally got to speak to a higher up who said I hadn't paid my bill. I said I can email you my bank statement right now which shows the PROCESSED payment. Was told it took time on their side to process. So I lose service because you can't process instant funds from my debit card (not e-check, not credit, not mailed check)?? Cancel, please. Then they said early termination fees, etc., but cancelled anyway. When they sent it to collections, I asked the collection agency if they had proof that I physically signed a 2 year contract with Dish. They did not. Collection dropped and I was able to get rid of service that only worked on technicalities.

Dish has the best DVR in the business but if I had it to do over I’d never get the Dish service. We get it primarily for local network channels but every year Dish has a contract dispute with somebody. Now it’s NBC, so we are missing all of our favorite shows and lots of sports. DirectTV is a better satellite service.

If you have a problem with your equipment look out. At the end of 2 year contract my bill went from $96 to $138. Tough times and a 40% increase. I do auto pay. I had no idea it was coming. When I signed up they said at end of contract maybe a $5 increase. Well you lost a customer by being greedy. I was warned about this company.

I paused my DISH service and I was looking to see if they would offer me a better deal to come back and they didn't. 10 dollars off the most expensive package and no guarantee there would be no installation fee was the best they would do. The cable company is a bunch of crooks, but at least I'm getting more bang for my buck with them.

I know you may get this a lot but I literally can not afford the service anymore but they threaten me with a $280 cancellation fee so it's difficult. I can't afford to keep the service nor pay to get rid of it. I know they easily can afford to waive this fee, but will they? Of course not, because it's not money made.

They are not cheap in price despite what the add say. I have been a Dish customer for almost 20 yrs and if someone would give us a deal I'd switch in a minute. They are all about them making $$$. I know that's all companies goal but all communications companies just want to pad the HIP.

I am disappointed that I cannot get unlimited high speed internet. I pay for the larges speed that I can get, but due to usage, I run out of high speed well before the month ends(at least 11/2 or 2 weeks). I'd be glad to pay extra for unlimited but Dish says that it's not available!

I would not recommend dish network to my friends or family because I wasn’t very pleased with my experience. Whenever there was a storm/rain, our connection would go out and we wouldn’t be able to fix it and the customer service wasn’t very helpful. We also didn’t have access to certain shows that we enjoyed so we switched. I will not be purchasing a service from this company again.

I was a customer of dish, terrible service in the winter time.. when the dish got cover by snow it dies out, they installed the dish on the roof, which i told them we get alot of snow, but the tech said it wont be any problems with how he was installing it... well sure enough, winter comes around and i had to get up there during every snow storm and clean it off for it to work... JUNK!!

My experience with Dish was negative from the beginning. I didn't feel that I got the service that they had advertised/promised. Everything felt like an up-sale to get what I originally thought was part of the advertised package. I ended the service immediately once my contract was up. Returning equipment only made my experience worse. I would not recommend Dish to prospective customers.

The Hopper is nice to record shows, but the signal is terrible. Bad weather will prevent you from recording or watching anything live. Too expensive for how slow the service is and how limited the channels are.

We continue to have technical disruptions from our dish...on a MONTHLY. basis. It takes about 45 minutes to fix the problem....when we call for help we are ALWAYS put on hold for 30 minutes or more

Dish was pretty good until they got rid of FS North, Channel 9 and all the sports channels with our teams. We just cancelled them and went with Xfinity, what an awesome decision this was!!❤️

Dish has chosen to charge a 10.00 fee for any package that includes Fox News. While the Liberal news channels are unencumbered. A clear violation of the 1st Amendment. A class action lawsuit would fix that overnight.

I have used them several times in the past. Each Time I've moved on to someone else. Channel line up is constantly changing, and not always for the best. The prices kept going up and it was off air more than on air. Customer Service was marginal. you've got better choices today.

Honestly, it got too expensive. We gave it up and just pay for the programs we want. The trapped my grandparents into a very expensive plan, they had no idea what it was or what came with it and didn’t utilize it... and never would! Do not appreciate they elderly being taken advantage of like that.

Too much money for the actual service you're getting because most of these channels are already free through HD channels on your regular over-the-air programming and why you were going to outrageously charge for that I don't know

I loved the option to stream my DVR content to my device remotely, but the rest of the service was unsatisfactory. Costs too high, programming options poor, signal quality often unreliable. Rate seemed to increase constantly. No longer using this service

Dish was by far the worst satellite/cable provider I’ve used and over the years I’ve had a lot. Their product was not as comprehensive as Directv and the customer service as terrible. They repeatedly promised discounts but I had to call them each month to get them to actually deliver. Hours on hold with outsourced reps.

I was not a fan of Dish. I made the switch from directv years ago and the boxes were so hard to use. I could never figure them out. I think I had them for about a week and couldn’t stand it anymore and paid the disconnection fees, so worth it, to go back to directv.

Not happy with Dish. Ready to quit them. Always seems to be searching for a signal, have had trouble with our equipment and have had all our DVR’s deleted at least twice and when you have trouble with the remote not working (even though we rent the equipment) they want to charge $20 for a replacement
