290+ TV Channels: America’s Top 250
Depending on the package, subscribers can enjoy upwards of 290 channels to choose from. Although subscribers should be aware that all offers require credit qualification, 2-year commitment with an early termination fee, and eAutoPay.
With select packages, customers will receive a free 3 month trial of premium channels from SHOWTIME, STARZ, and Disney Movie Pack.

One of the advantages of investing in DISH TV is the additional discounts that you will receive when you bundle your service with other services offered by DISH. For those that add high-speed internet to their DISH TV plans, pricing can start as low as $20 per month. This high-speed internet service will provide speed for surfing, streaming, and gaming.

The Hopper 3, DISH’s award-winning Whole-Home HD DVR and secondary receivers allow customers to watch TV in any room in the house. Users can start watching a show in the living room and when they get tired can pause and resume the show once they’re in bed. Customers can also say goodbye to recording conflicts as DISH lets customers record 16 programs at once. Perhaps one of the most unique features from the Hopper 3 is the ability to watch four channels at once.
For customers with more than 2-3 TV’s in their home, DISH offers a small but powerful complimentary receiver, Joey. A Joey connects multiple TV’s in the home with the Hopper to help create what DISH calls a “whole-home entertainment experience.” The Joey has all the same benefits as the Hopper and can either be wired or wireless.
*All offers require credit qualification, 24-month commitment with early termination fee and eAutoPay. Prices include Hopper Duo for qualifying customers. The Hopper, Hopper with Sling or Hopper 3 is $5 per month or more. Upfront fees may apply based on your credit qualification
Unlike most service providers, DISH will mount the satellite dish and install the Whole-Home DVR system for free. The company is extremely transparent about what customers can expect on their installation day and what the installation includes.
Customers can expect their DISH technician to:
Because of the company’s focus on customer satisfaction, DISH has technical support agents standing by 24/7 to help troubleshoot, resolve issues, and get customers back to watching their favorite show. DISH has nine call centers located throughout the United States filled with customer service agents who are ready to help answer and resolve any questions.
DISH offers a voice remote that is compatible with the Google Assistant. This has been done by integrating the smart assistant directly into each DISH set-top box. Users can change channels, open apps, search for specific actors or shows, ask questions, and even manage daily tasks like adding food items to the shopping list. Other features include a remote locator, backlit keys, and the ability to personalize specific hotkeys.

With all that DISH has to offer, customers may find themselves signing up for better equipment, more channels, and longer contracts. Although fees are standard throughout the industry, customers should be aware of what’s being added to their bill. Here’s a list of some of the current DISH Network fees that customers may come across:
Billing Transaction Fees

While DISH does not offer NFL Sunday Ticket, customers/sports fans can get the Multi-Sports Pack which includes the NFL Network and the NFL RedZone.
As many customers have noticed, a satellite dish is affected by the weather. Storms, clouds, and snow will all mess with the TV signal. While this isn’t a problem for cable TV, DISH customers should be prepared to deal with this. However, customers can still watch their DVR recordings during short-term outages.

I switch from Direct TV to DISH just about a year ago because of bad customer service. When I called Dish, they said they could come out the next morning (saturday) they had it installed in a few hours and the Rep was really nice and considerate of everything. We moved to our new address and was given the best day and time for us. We were really inpressed with the young man that came out and did the work. I was not an easy job either, but proceeded and got it done to our satisfaction. Again this young man was very good his name was Josh. Ask for him if your in Spokane
I am no longer a customer with DISH but I was for over 17 years and they were good to me and had great service. I only changed service providers because of the times and technology with live streaming and cost effectiveness. I was able to go to Hulu and sling and other live streams for less money with more choices. DIsh was great for the years I had them and since I have good wifi i am able to steam for less. If i did not have good wifi I would stay with dish or if i would move and not have good internet service then I would go back to dish .
Have been with these cable company more then 10 yrs and still paying over $150. Even after they took my spurs games away ,and just got over covin 19 and they dont seem to care
Horrible customer service. Way too costly for amount of channels. Wish there was another provider.
They continually take stations away and do not come down on the price of our bill. Also their customer service speak terrible English and I cannot understand them.
Customer service has always been very knowledgeable concerning our technical issues and response times for repairs were always above expectation.
Dish is awesome. I especially like the mobile app. Whenever I’m not home and waiting I pull out my phone and watch whatever I want. The channels and networks are excellent.
Used to have Direct tv wasn’t satisfied. Tried Dish and love it. Works great and not as expensive
Have had Dish Network since 2015. Great customer service and selection of channels and their hoppers can store a lot of recorded shows. The only 2 problems I have is that the satellite goes down in inclement weather, and their prices are expensive.
Dish is fun, quality and great programming. We had cable and Directv and Dish blows them away.
I loved the option to stream my DVR content to my device remotely, but the rest of the service was unsatisfactory. Costs too high, programming options poor, signal quality often unreliable. Rate seemed to increase constantly. No longer using this service
I like the multitudes of channels offered and the variety of packages offered for an affordable price. I dislike the disturbance during bad weather.
If you cancel your service they will not come and get that huge dish. You own it and have to get it removed. Smh They also change the price of your service making it overly expensive.
I was never a fan of Dish. I didn't like the setup. I am now a fan and finding more and more to like about DISH. Cost, reliability, customer service, etc..
Liars and poor service
Dish is horrible!!! Do not waste your money. Find any other option. I have been with them for over 10 years on a basic plan. I just upgraded to their hopper and 200plus channels. I was told there were hundreds of free movies. LIES- maybe found maybe 25 free movies. All the others you have to pay for. Tried to record some programs and only a few recorded correctly. What a waste of money. I went from paying $32 a month to paying over $120 dollars worth of crap. You have to sign a two year contract to find out what you really get. I knew within 6 hours of having the upgrade that it was a HUGE WASTE OF MONEY!!!! But no way to cancel the plan. Be forewarned avoid Dish tv
Our family loves DISH!!! There is so much variety in the content available to watch and the possibilities seem endless. There are plenty of family-friendly viewing options and it offers interests for everyone's needs. Whether it's cooking, gardening, hunting, fishing, news, entertainment, romance or mystery that you want to watch, DISH has it covered.
The weather affected viewing otherwise they great. Their home service needs improvement.
I have had dish Network for several years now I have no complaints about the service or the customer service or the channel lineup. Good company. The customer service dept. and the sales dept. are customer friendly and ready to serve their customers to make your experience with DirecTv one that you will tell others about.
It was a good company, but they raised their prices and would not give a lot of deals. Only new customers could get deals.
Had a very pleasant experience with DISH. Used it mainly for live sports and it was great
We have enjoyed using Dish for many years. They have friendly & knowledgable technicians.
My TV filled with a lot of channels to chose from, always great service. I would like to add channels, and remove a whole lot of the channels I never use. Satified customer.
Honestly the best prices in all of cable. I remember swapping specifically because they advertised less storm outages and the prices were almost fifty percent cheaper than Direct Tv, miss having dish especially on the west coast.
I had Dish for about 3 years. I'd try to cut programming to reduce my bill. But certain items had to be paid for in order to receive others. It was not an a la carte style choice. So I had to pay for things I didn't want in order to have an HD DVR.
my neighbor and I have Dish, and he was getting his serviced, he told the Tech to make sure that I did not loose service. well my service went out and at NO point in time did the Tech ever make me aware in any way and that was at after 9 am and at 6 pm same evening TODAY I still have no service. I contact Dish customer service and they tell me I have to pay a additional 95 dollars to have a tech restore it. makes no sense because the Tech was the one that messed it it up and I work 6 days a week and on 7th I go over to take care of my 85 yr old mother, so I have no time but in the evening. they want me to Loose 466.67 of my pay and them pay a additional 95 dollars for the tech , and they will not credit me for the time I have no service BUT I still have to pay the whole Months bill 30 days for 2 days of service. when inquired about cancellation OH that's going to cost 125.16. and all this because of a Tech not providing responsible and attentive detail to what was told to him. I am liable because of the contract to pay it so I am out 782.16 dollars to Dish because of their own Techs failure to do the job right,
Dish was by far the worst satellite/cable provider I’ve used and over the years I’ve had a lot. Their product was not as comprehensive as Directv and the customer service as terrible. They repeatedly promised discounts but I had to call them each month to get them to actually deliver. Hours on hold with outsourced reps.
Sales rep promised Dish would work with my smartTV. It does not work with LG smartTVs. That in and of itself didn't make me mad, I thought, easy mistake. But when I called a couple days after installation to say "yeah, it doesn't work like you said it would, I'll need to cancel" they informed me that even though the product could not do what they said it could, they would still charge me $400+ in early termination fees to cancel. Are you kidding me? How has no one taken these guys to court yet? I'm stuck with a product I can't use for a year. If you are thinking of buying, Don't do it! It's not worth the risk, something goes wrong-even on their end-and they will stick it to you. There is no desire to be fair or make the customer happy. It's a scam protected by legal fine print.
DISH LATINO IS A FRAUD.SALEREPRES DISH LATINO YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL. I PURCHASE DISHLATINO DOS NO CNN AND NO FOX NEWS I SPECIFIC NEED THIS TWO CHANNELS NOW THEY TELL ME IT WAS ONLY FREE FOR TWO MONTH OLSO NO 100.00 MASTER CARD. DONT BELIEVE THE SALESMAN THEY WILL LIE TO YOU .
We were customers for 20+ years. After moving from ND to SD I was trying to find the best possible program choice with DISH. I had used the chat feature and thought I had found what we wanted so I called them. On the phone call I was given more options that I wanted to discuss with our family. One week later I called back. Due to calling DISH twice in one month, a flag was placed on our account. This year my husband and I were out of the US when our bill was due. I emailed DISH and asked if the late fee could be removed from our account and I never heard back from them. So I decided to take a chance and call them. After being transferred to three different customer service reps, I was told that because of the flag on our account there would be no grace given for the late fee and no way to get this flag removed. All because I dared to call DISH twice in one month! We have never been late paying in 20+ years of being customers. So much for customer service.! Also, because our account was on hold until we settled in SD we had to start on a new contract with DISH. We have 5 months left on the 2 year contract so it will cost us $100 to get out of the contract and find another place to get our TV through. If I could give DISH a lower rating than one star, I would. Very discouraged and disappointed with all things DISH.
NEVER AGAIN. I sold my camp in northern NH in January. I called Dish in November and told them to cancel my service. The rep was rude, tried to upgrade my service, tried everything to stop me from turning it off. Unknown to me, he put on temporary hold thru Jan. at $9.95/mo. When I saw the charges, I called again in January, refused to pay and told them I had called to shut it off and the agent didn't do what I asked. This agent also did not want me to turn it off and offered to move the service to my home. I refused. In Feb, I got a bill for service, called again, same BS. Got another bill in March. This time I flipped out when I called....went up the chain a little and got some moron higher up. He also tried to get me to switch my service to my home....again I refused and demanded the service be discontinued. Jump to May, I get another bill and this time they charged a card they had on file from an earlier equipment upgrade....completely UNAUTHORIZED! My bank is refunding that money and taking it back from Dish. THEY ARE THIEVES, it's that simple. Still trying to charge me for service at a place I don't own and they have their equipment back!
We have been with Dish for several years. I was furloughed two weeks ago and felt we needed to cancel our dish service, because a lack of income. This past Friday I was asked to report back to work (4/24/2020). I understood my Dish account was paid up until today 4/28/2020. My wife & I called Dished today and were told we could not resume the service we had and there would be additional costs. It obviously did not pay to be a loyal Dish customer for all those years.
Don’t waste your money any service would be much better than Dish network losing signal All the time need to reset a few times a week
Excellent phone service. The old menu was intuitive and required no explanation. The new menu is pure chaos and requires frequent calls to Dish. The font in the menu is extremely small. The manual for the remote is a picture brochure, like for a new car. Tells you all the features but explains nothing. It is frustrating to use.
Well they started out ok. High price but didn't have many options in the country. Once other options started becoming available the state raising there price and then dropping the channels that makes a person take the higher packages. Then when you want to cancel after 10 years plus being with them they tell you you're ok with forgetting over$200 of loyalty or costumer credits that you never had any idea you had accrued. Not to mention the customer service reps are mostly very rude when things aren't going there way.
Don't believe the good about dish. Real customers will tell you how crappy it really is. I have been in the regional fox sports blackout since July. No credits on the bill for it AND they just increased the bill 6 bucks. If you call them you better have at least an hour or more because you will be on hold for at least 30 minutes just to start. They don't deserve any stars.
If I could give them a 0 I would. I will be blasting DISH all over social media and I’m going to corporate about this. My mom was on the phone with a dish supervisor and the supervisor was using condescending tones and laughed at my mother. She was saying I can close your account right now. This is not how members should be treated. Everyone please pick a different provider, it’s not worth paying money to these idiots.
Was fairly pleased with service, after 1 year the cost of service more than doubled, when I called customer service I was informed they would not work on price. I felt Dish was not up front with the cost of service, will not be using them again.
Dish Network is great. Great quality of shows and entertainment, and dependable equipment. LOVE the hopper feature. The only issue I have is the loss of picture during heavy storms, but that's few and far between.
Pretty much done with DISH TV! Have been a customer since 2005, and have been usually OK with service . NOT NOW......looking for other alternatives, No Super Bowl, No NASCAR, ...OK maybe we can try to ride this out, but low and behold they decide to raise our rates ANOTHER $6 a month. Seriously looking for other alternatives. Please note that the survey is taken from today's perspective, very displeased with what is happening with this company.
We used Dish for several years but there always seemed to to be Unexpected price increases and fees we didn’t anticipate. We ended up switching providers because of this.
I love dish quality and their option to jump over advertisements. The choice of having prime time all recorded helps when you want to watch a new series.
Dish has great service and all the channels you could want at a fair price. The customer service is excellent.
DISH may have better prices than other satellite providers, but the connection get lost quite easily during storms.
Dish has great rates for what you want. Not to pricy and gives me access to all my shows.
Overall good service. Just had some issues with box connectivity. But customer service was excellent so I reccomend!
We have been a Dish customer for the last 15 years. We haven't really had any issues and have been happy with the service and channels. I did appreciate them sending new remotes recently without asking.
We had dish for years. They are definitely the best priced for what you get. I have found another company that has more options and more user friendly. Dish is a great value for the money though.
I have been a paying customer of Dish network about 15 or more years. They now install Nest security cameras. Do not, do not let Dish install your Nest security camera. They do not stand behind this. I had a camera installed it was very expensive. The camera quit working on day 5 and they would not honor a service call. And Nest does not stand by the product either. They do not have tech that will come to your house and repair or replace the camera. They want you to do it with a tech o er the phone. When that didn’t work they hung up on us. We had to call another company and pay another fee. DO NOT use Dish for this product.
Dish and the hopper we loved. We switched to have the PAC 12 network. Offers good deals but needs to have more competitive prices.
Garbage lies long time customer double my bill stay away from the worst satellite provider in us period this company along with there lying employees are not worth my time nor money
