In August 2021, Terminix came to inspect a suspected mouse problem and we ended up having them replace our insulation and add termite traps around the house. They didn’t finish the job and they also damaged our home while they were working on our insulation. While they were in our attic, they somehow pushed a bolt from one of the cross beams through our ceiling. After they left, we called to let them know that the house was damaged and that they hadn’t done the quoted work on our basement stairs but we got the runaround from both the service technician and his supervisor. I understand many places are short staffed and supplies aren’t easy to come by so I’ve been giving them some time to get back to us but it is now January 2022, 5 months after they started this job, and we’ve waited long enough. They continue to ignore our calls and bounce us back and forth between the technician and his supervisor, never leading anywhere. It is unacceptable and unethical to not finish a contracted job much less damage a home and then ghost the client. I would expect better from a company if it was involving a $100 service and ours was unfortunately in the thousands. I would never recommend this business to anyone under any circumstances and unfortunately, after reading a bunch of other quotes, I’m not the first person this company has done this to. I highly suggest you take your business to any other company so you don’t get caught in the same situation we are in. This has been a very disappointing transaction and I truly hope this review helps other people avoid such a situation.

Well here we go. Had a slummy looking sales guy come out from Terminix and told me we had termites. He showed me a couple spots that were supposed termite "hot spots". He sold me a package of service care and told me that if I wasn't happy with the service provided that I could get a refund with no cancelation fee (all lies). He handed me a tablet with a signature line and did not go over any details with me other than treatment for termites and amount. Then I had a friend come into town that owns a pest control company. My friend said that the spots the Slum Lord Terminix guy showed me had 0 termite signs. My friend also looked at my property and said there is 0 proof of termites. I called to cancel my service agreement because the service was not needed. The manager Kevin, then told me sorry but there is nothing anyone can do and I am just screwed and have to ride the service agreement out. So here we are. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY WILL LIE TO YOUR FACE AND THEN TELL YOU TO DEAL WITH IT. These people are on a whole different level of scam artists. The funny part is, I don't want my money back! I just want to be done paying a monthly premium for a service that has no value to me. Kevin I hope that the $500 I will pay you over the next 9 months for 0 product is worth a bad review on every social media. Save your time and money and call a different pest control company, these people are scam artists.

Initially they were very nice and I was impressed. However, as the years and months went by I started realizing that I was dealing with scoundrels. I've contracted Terminix to address a termite issue. After the initial treatment, I waited a few months before doing any repairs to make sure that there was no more termites in my house. When I started the repairs (replace some base boards and painting), I discover a new area where the termites had done some additional damage. Please note that I had checked the entire house before hiring contractors to do the repairs. I called Terminix immediately. They came back and they told me that they were going to re-treat the area. I am not sure they did anything, because 6 months AFTER they came back a second time, I found again new termite damage. I called Terminix to let them know that a 3rd time the termites had gone back, which was adjacent to the area that had been treated twice before. Terminix is now refusing to retreat the area, even though I'm on their maintenance contract. Terminix is an awful company. I can't cancel my contract. I keep calling them to cancel, but the main office seems to agree with me that they need to come back and retreat the area, but the local office refuses it.

COMPANY LIES! Don't believe anything they say on the phone. Had my niece sign me up for a 'free inspection'. Then my realtor and I verified everything as I was out of state and was told the same thing. Low and behold I got charged when I immediately didn't buy into their sales pitch. The truth was I didn't get the house. Then some rude lady said when I called about, it that they told me they were going to transfer service from the current owners to me with or without signing anything and charge me. Thank goodness my bank wouldn't approve my loan on that place because clearly, this company is a trap. Feel bad for whoever gets the house and gets Terminix trying to hoodwink them. I feel like their tactics are scammy so good luck if any of you want a 'free inspection'. The crappy thing was on the house we did end up getting, we were going to have it added until we got a bill from our realtor on a property we don't own. Please stay away and don't be tempted into a 'free' anything. Oh and the best part, the original scam bill emailed was $25, then it changed to $125 and when I called they said I was lucky as it wasn't $250. Funny how it was "free" then the bill kept changing. Send me to collections because I don live there. What a scam. But If by some miracle they make it right I will delete this review. If this is up, they are still scamming people with 'free inspections'. This was in Trade, TN.

I have been having Terminix service my house for the past year. Not a single time was I ever told that they were not able to get into the house when we had it rented out. My tenant moved out two weeks early and left their dog in the upstairs bedroom for two weeks with no food or water. I was called by the police about a complaint about a dog being in my house barking standing outside an open window on the second floor. I got there, and the house was INFESTED with bugs, and the dog was locked up stairs in a room. I ran up stairs and saved the dog, but called Terminix to come and bug bomb my house. I scheduled a tech to come out on that Thursday. The Supervisor called me back, and said that the tech was new and he wanted to be with the tech when he did the initial treatment. So, we scheduled it for the next coming Monday. When the tech arrived no one was with him. He walked into the house, and walked back out. TOLD MY NEIGHBOR. "I aint touching that" And never contacted me to tell me they couldn't treat it. They charged me for that visit. I tried calling the Customer Service, and they told me they would escalate this incident, and someone would get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. I did not hear ANYTHING... I called back, and they told me the same thing. No one still got back to me. NOW I got a notification they were going to charge me for the monthly service. I CANCELLED my account. I will NEVER use Terminix EVER again. And you can NEVER get a person on the phone. I had to talk to someone online each time. This is a very bad place to get bug service from.

Do NOT use this company. I would give negative stars if possible. My family and I have had a terrible experience. We discovered we had bed bugs in our house and called Terminix to treat it. The tech suggested tenting and fumigation to make sure the bed bugs were completely eliminated. We agreed and he gave us an appt 3 weeks away. The day of the tenting the crew shows up and they say due to the roof being too steep they would not be doing the tenting that day. They said they would come back the next day with a crane to finish the job. They did not show up the next day nor did anyone tell me what was going on. My family and I were staying at a hotel at this point over 20 miles away. Since they didn't do the job on either day, I've tried reaching out to them to find out what's going on and the only person that has responded to me was the tech and he didn't know what was going on either. He let me know he had put in a request for them to call me but would be fired if he gave out supervisors or managers phone numbers. On the following Monday, a full 6 days after the tenting was supposed to happen the tech said he had to talked to his supervisor and they were only going to offer me a credit for the hotel and a future date of July 1st. A full 10 days away at that time and still charge me full price for the tenting and I'd still have to pay for another hotel. I have a number of animals (goats, chickens and a cockatoo) that live outside on my property and I had to go back each day to give them food and water. They offered nothing in regards to the inconvenience of having to drive 20 miles each way (there are no hotels close to my house) to get back to my house to take care of them and basically wasted 3 nights at a hotel for nothing. No tenting or fumigation and I still have bed bugs. Terminix management has made no effort to contact me directly and have made it impossible to get ahold of them.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality Terminex called when my contract was up for renewal however I told them at the time I was not able to renew it. A few days later they had taken the money out of my account. I called multiple times and requested a refund. Two weeks later still no refund and when I called the service manager HUNTER he had promised me everything would be taken care of. That he got the OK to get a reimbursement of the money they took out of my account. Two weeks later I still haven’t received a check or credit to my checking account. I called again and I was told that there was a credit to the account for the money they took out. I told I didn’t understand why they would credit an account that was canceled. That’s when they told me the account and contract had not been canceled Then they said in order for me to get a refund I need to speak to the service manager. I told them I spoke with HUNTER extensively about the situation. Customer service said there was nothing they could do until I spoke with a service manager and that would have to wait until Monday if I could get through to somebody. With all of this happening Terminex said they would send somebody out to inspect the house for free because of all the problems and phone calls and aggravation I’ve been going through. That has not been done. I am still waiting for a credit of over 200 dollars with no guarantee of getting it. Also to add to this during the contract last year they came to ‘inspect’ and told me everything was fine however upon looking into the eaves we found a hornet’s nest. We bought long distance spray to kill them ourselves which was difficult since it was second story eave above the window I know this is a long winded review however I just want people to understand what goes on behind the scenes that when things do go wrong they don’t make any effort to make it right. I have spoken with at least seven people which is completely unnecessary. Be careful when signing up and do not have automatic payments taken out. Do not let them keep your credit card or checking account number on file. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else and hopefully this review will give people some insight on when there is something not right, that you struggle to get help.

I called Terminix because I had a squirrel infestation in my attic. The salesman showed up and assured me they would take care of the problem. He also suggested I replace the my attic insulation as a measure to cleanup the contamination left by years of rodent excrement. I agreed, and they showed up immediately to replace the attic insulation, and I assumed to take care of the primary problem.....squirrels. After@ 8 months, and numerous phone calls, followed by another visit they still have not eliminated the real reason I called them...squirrels. I have now paid @ $5000 to deal with this problem, and it still is not fixed. My new insulation more than likely contaminated again, and there is not end in sight. Save your money, and aggravation and call someone else.

Buyer's remorse. We had Terminix service our property in the Lehigh Valley area (Allentown, PA). The technicians were great and the pests were under control. Customer Service Reps on the phone were wonderful as well. However, if you need to cancel your contract and get a refund, it's brutal. It's taken 4 months to get our refund. The branch manager was nice in the beginning and then never followed up. I thought a complaint through the BBB would help things along. Nope. Terminix and the branch manager dragged their feet for two months after the complaint was filed. It wasn't until I said I was going to contact the CEO of Terminix that a check was cut the very next day. Too late. I had already left the CEO a voicemail at the corporate office. He had two very nice women call me and within 24 hours the two refund issues we were having were resolved. Moral of the story: When you've been nice and tried everything to resolve your issues, file a complaint with the BBB. If that doesn't move things along then call or write the the CEO of the company. It's unfortunate to have to do this, but it does get results.

My husband and I signed a contract with Terminix, on 2/26/20. The contract was for termite treatment, and the amount was $1,052. We were advised, by the Sales rep-Joe Hampton, that we could make installments of $99 until the balance was paid, and that we would need to pay $99 down that day to cover February's payment. We paid $99 on 02/26/20, and our credit card was charged $99 from 03/20-01/21. I called Terminix on 1/25/21 to inquire why we were still being charged, and to request a refund for the difference of $136. We made 12 payments of $99. The agent, Vanessa advised me that he wasn't sure but the payment that was drafted on 1/26/21 would be our last payment. I informed her that I would like to speak to the Service Rep for a further explanation. No one called. I called back again to request a callback. On 1/27/21, Chris called me and explained that the $99 that we paid on 2/26/20 was for materials and wasn't applied towards our balance. I explained to him that wasn't what our sales rep advised us or Vanessa. He informed me that Vanessa should've known this and that I still had 1 more month to make a $63 payment, and if I didn't pay it he would send me to the collection agency. I advised him that I disagreed and to cancel my account after January and remove my credit card information, which Vanessa stated that she removed on 1/26. On 1/28/21, I was scheduled to have my rent house treated. Instead, I received ab email stating that my Terminix account was canceled. I called in and got Vanessa who informed me that my account shouldn’t have been billed again for the $63.25, and that if I was charged for January, I should’ve received my treatment on 1/28/2021. My point, exactly. Not only was I charged for January, but I also didn’t receive service, and my credit card was charged $63.25 by the jerk, Chris. He was rude and sounded like an abusive person and a racist. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and disputed the charges with my credit card company. My advice to you, if you do business with this entity tape all conversations and watch your credit card. They illegally charged my card for what would’ve been a February payment, per Chris, on 1/28/21. Even though my service was canceled in January. And, they still wanted to charge me $29 per month for a warranty that I already paid $1052 for service for.

Negative 5 stars... I cannot say if their treatment plans work because I cancelled mine before they came back to start the treatment. The cost was higher than our bank allows per day. So we called the bank and requested that they increase the daily limit. They said no because haven't had the account long enough (4 months ish).. so we decided we would transfer the money half and half over two days to a PayPal card. However, the terminix rep told us they don't accept paypal cards (they must be the only place on the planet that don't) so this morning I called the local office to see what other options we may have. After I explained to the lady, and I say that loosely, what happened with the bank she replied "well maybe you should try putting some money into your account" offended by her assumption that I was trying to use money I don't have and her obvious lack of listening skills, I said there IS money in the account and she snapped then why won't it go through.? So again I explained the daily limit issue. Then she says we'll can't you just get a credit card? I said no that's not an option. And she snapped "then I don't know what to tell you. " Then she proceeded to tell me how her bank operates with her account and said "so I know they can increase that limit.. " i finally asked to speak to a manager and she says "there are no managers here. And they will tell you the same thing!" I said that's not what I want to talk to a manager about. It's about how rude youre being.. and she says "why because I didn't tell you what you wanted to hear?" At this point I was pretty upset with terminix so I told her to keep her treatment plan and I'll call orkin... This was the single rudest person I've ever encountered in a business... And I'd learn to live with the pests before id hire this company!!!!!

I have been a Terminix customer for years. In April 2020 I bought a pest exclusion for my house for around $1,000 and as of December 21, I still have pest in the house waking me up at night and running in the ceiling. I have a one-way trap installed 2 months ago that Terminix never came to remove (Needless to say that it didn't help) and never followed up on. I have been calling several times a week for the past month to get: 1. reimbursement since they cannot get the pest problem resolved for the past 9 months after coming at least 5 times to my house. 2. I have asked this issue to be escalated several times and nobody has called me back although I get promises that someone will within a day 3. someone to come remove this one-way door. Also the work has been poorly done from the beginning with Terminix employees leaving tools under my deck and spraying foams and letting it overflow all over the walls. Overall inadmissible

DO NOT TRUST!!! I paid them for a termite service as that is what they told me my problem was. The tech that came out told me he 'didn't even think I had termites', but did the traps anyway. I continued to have wood damage from ANTS. They charged me in advance for the renewal (which I didn't agree to). I had to cancel my credit card so that they would stop trying to charge me additional fees. I have been trying to cancel and get my money back from the renewal charge for 18months! They even came and got the traps when my year was up. They tell me every time that they will have someone from the 'local office' get back to me. I have not had one return call.. EVER!

Horrible. My first service was scheduled 9/11 from 10am-12pm. 12pm comes and goes and I had to reach out to customer service about 7 times. Technician finally shows up around 4pm after my entire day I took off work was wasted. I was scheduled a follow up service 10/1 with the same tech from 3pm-5pm. He never showed. Never called, nothing. I contact customer service again requesting a different technician all together who contacts the local manager and says they have scheduled me with someone else for 10/3, only for me to find out they lied and scheduled the same guy. After being more than patient I got fed up and cancelled. Their policy is to issue a refund after 30 days if you are not satisfied but the “manager” refuses to refund me. I’ll be exploring my legal options and making sure everyone knows never to hire this company.

Good: they were quick to set me up with a technician (and take my money) Bad: Everything else Worst customer service, long with times, no call back. After first visit and another repeat visit, was told same as other reviewers that i have to be patient i should expect to see more dead bugs than alive, use over the counter products, etc... When I found out they had 30 day money back guarantee I canceled the service but they never gave me my money back!!! I've been using my own products, I have Raid bottles all over my house and periodically apply ORTHO products with equal results. Services way overrated!!!

If it were possible to award negative stars, I would do it in a heartbeat. Also, -5 stars would not be enough to adequately document their poor customer service. Under no circumstances should you use this service. I have been lied to and jerked around by this company for a considerable amount of time. Every time I call, I get a different answer. I am in the middle of selling my home. My realtor called Terminix and found out the termite bond I had with them is not transferable. This was a shock to me. I called them and they told me that they do transfer the termite bonds. While in the process of getting this straightened out, they will not call me back. Over and over they fail to perform any sort of customer service. On another note, I also had the Sentricon system for the house. They jacked up the price considerably year after year stating some unknown study that the termite activity was increasing. I now see it for what it is. It is a money grabbing operation. They inflate their prices to get more money out of you. They also will not transfer the termite bond which causes the new house owners to spend more money to get the same bond. On top of all that, when you call their customer service, they transfer you directly to a voicemail system asking you to leave a message and they will call you back in 24 hours. Guess what, they do not. Save yourself the heartache. Utilize a reputable local company or a better national brand. If that is not possible, go to Home Depot or Lowes and get pest control solutions there and do it yourself. It would be much better in the long run.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the service provided by this company. We are 11 months into living in our newly-purchased home and we noticed we had an ant problem inside the house and mice in the attic. After doing some research, we decided to go with Terminix. I spoke with a rep on the phone and decided to go with the pest control plan with the rodent add-on, with the service being scheduled for the next day between 3pm and 5pm. The next day we had gotten to 6pm and still hadn't heard a word from the gentleman who was performing the service. I called Terminix and got nothing but automated messages. Finally just after 6, the pest control guy called, saying he would be here in 15 minutes-late without a courtesy call, but no big deal. When he shows up, he asks what he could do for us, I told him the services we requested. He then told me that he didn't do the rodent extermination, and that someone else would be calling me about that. Ok, so the rep never told me there would be two people coming. We continue to move forward with the service, a bit irritated at the lack of communication. Once he finishes with outside area, he comes back to the door and asks where I want him to spray in the house. Maybe this is a wiff on my part, but if you're exterminating pests, shouldn't the ENTIRE house be sprayed? I told him the key areas where we noticed the pests and he ONLY sprays in those areas. When he finished, he gave me his number and told me if I need him to come back just call him directly. The next morning, my wife notices that we have ants now invading our bedroom. I called the pest control guy directly and left a voice mail, then I called Terminix and got the same automated messages. I left voice mail here, expecting a return call within 24 hours, according to the automated message. This is now DAY 4. I haven't heard from the pest control guy, and I haven't heard from Terminix returning my message OR about the rodent issue that they charged me for. I am beyond upset with the poor level of service, but more so that they've charged me for a service they didn't complete and don't even have a live person I can speak to about it. At this point, I will write a review on every website I can find until they return my call and refund my money! I will not be doing business with them again.

They charged me $1500 for a service they couldn't provide, I requested my money back and they kept hanging up the phone on me. I called Terminix because I have some issues with pest and I needed a professional company for pest control. They sent a salesperson over (Troy) to give me a quote on Monday (August 10th) and I agreed and paid $1377 for pest control and $119 for anti-insects spraying all around the house. The salesperson guaranteed that I won't have any insects for 3 months and that the pest control team will service me attic and block all entrances and clean all the dead rats from there, they will block all entrances around my house to prevent rodents and animals from entering the bottom of my home and he said they will make sure every single entrance to this house will be blocked. On Thursday (August 13th) the anti-insect team showed up at my house and left within 3 minutes, I have cameras all over my house and I can easily prove my statement if needed. The same day I already had spiders and insects all over my walls, he didn't do anything! You can see that he simply walks quickly around the house pretends to spray the chemical but he actually just walks and sprays it wherever and leaves, all that in less than 3 minutes and no results what so ever. Later that day the pest-control team arrived to block all entrances and set traps for animals and rodents. That guy went to the attic and said that theres no issues there (I wen't right after and saw a dead rat and planty of rat poop everywhere), he got on the roof and said that theres nothing there either (the rodents enter the attic through the roof there is a hole there that is pretty obvious). About 25 mins later that guy left the property saying that he's done, without blocking any of the entrances around the house! I had to point them out to him and at that point I told him that it's clear that they just collect money and don't do as they promise and I requested him to leave and said that I will be asking for my money back. This company has a 30 day money back guarantee if a client isn't satisfied with the service. Well I wasn't satisfied the same day they showed up becuase both teams did nothing and basically charged me $1500 for absolutely nothing! I called terminix and spent hours over the phone they kept telling me they are providing a refund and hanging up on me eventually. I spent 30 minutes on hold then they hung up, 1.5 hours on hold then they hang up, another 20 mins and another 45 mins. I also contacted the salesperson Troy and he said he's sorry for what's happening both verbally and through text messages which I'm going to attach to this complaint. I am not satisfied with the service because this company didn't provide what they promised, and they also promised full satisfaction or money back which is another promise that they don't back up. As a brother of a lawyer, it is easy for me to file a lawsuit against this company, which I will do if I won't get my money back.

Horrible customer service. They put you on hold for 30 to 45 minutes. I used their service a couple of years ago and they were great. I recently restarted using them again and made the worst mistake ever. They were supposed to remove a wasp nests on my roof and had to schedule 5 times and they keep sending Technicians out with no ladder to get the nest. I told them to cancel my contract immediately. How can you not make notes on a service call to inform the Technician of what they need and what they need to do on the appointment. They have wasted so much of my time. I also went online to view my account and I can’t even access. HORRIBLE. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!! THEY ARE A WASTE OF TIME.

Thw worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. I notice a carpenter ant problem on a Friday while doing some home construction and immediately started calling pest control services in the area. It seemed that everyone that I called connected me with Terminix. I've used Terminix in the past so I know how poor there service is, but it seemed like I didn't have a choice. The earliest appointment available was on Monday, which I scheduled. (even though most websites advertised 24 hour service) I wasn't happy that i had to stop working on my project, but I felt that it was important have the problem resolved before proceeding. On Monday morning I received a call that they couldn't make the scheduled appointment, and they might be able to fit me in within the next few days. I went back online to search for other pest control services. I tried Home Advisor and was able to find a company that was very responsive. I called and someone was at my house within two hours. He explained what he would be doing, where the problems could be coming from,and exterminted the ants with extreme prejudice. The price was literally half that of Terminix and the warranty was far longer than the 30 days Terminix offered. If you're in Vermont, and have carpenter ants, try Mangan PI. I don't work for them and have nothing to gain by referring them. Read the reviews on Terminix and know there are other companies out there that don't charge the exorbitant prices and will provide far better customer service.

I have been with Terminix for over 16 years & since moving to Ky, have had one problem after another with their Huntington office. Many no shows, no calls, no return calls, one lie after another. They have been overcharging me, they charge me for 4000 sq ft & I only have 866 sq ft. They claim to have done service & took pictures of someone else's house. I have not had a quarterly since Sept of 2020. It is the worst customer service, they could care less about their customers! They show up without an appt, but won't show up with one, after waiting all day & putting all our animals up for the day. Read the reviews, this company is going down hill fast! Buyer Beware!!!!!

Company representative by the name of German, came out to inspect home and failed to follow any safety procedures. Walk throughout my property and the inside of my home without wearing a mask . Was not clear about service and pricing ,but was quick to collect my credit card and set up an account without my knowledge. I have 3 children at home one sufers from asthma. This comopany was brought in to keep our home pest ,vermin ,and disease free . Really disappointed with Terminix for not implementing most current safety and basic guidelines. My home was the last appointment of the day. Makes me cringe when I think of how nany other properties he visited. I have surveillance footage of this man wiping his nose without gloves and continue inspection. I have contacted Terminix and canceled my unconsented agreement and explained the issue . They fixed all my issues with an apology bs.

Worst customer service experience ever. I called the call center in April and scheduled for someone to come out and spray for wasps. First they sent someone to Chicago, Illinois instead of Chicago Ave in Missouri. When someone finally made it out to our house, they had my husband sign a contract and told him it was a year long contract with someone coming to spray quarterly. In May the wasps are back so I call to have someone come spray again and the call center worker tells me there is a hold on the account because we owe $249. I told her I had already paid that amount in April. She says she will look into it and call me back. There was no call back. I called again and this time the call center worker says there's no hold on my account and schedules an appointment for June 17th. On the 17th no one shows up. I call again and I'm told no appointment was made and I only have a 1 time spray with 30 day guarantee on my account. They transfer me to sales and that worker says she will call me back the next day with her manager. No call back. I call again and I'm told they don't have access to my contract and I can try calling someone from the local branch, but they can't give me the phone number. Luckily I was able to find the number for the inspector who came out after our house was sprayed. He says he'll call his manager and look into it. When he calls back he says the contract was for a one time spray and he can see if we can get it converted to a one year contract, but I'll still be out $249. We still have wasps and I can't even schedule another appointment until I hear back about if they can convert the contact.

I was a long-standing customer of this company, until I requested a return service because the first visit didn't appear to work. A disgruntled employee showed up and sprayed my plant beds with something that seemed to kill most of the plants within 3 weeks of that application. I called to ask what was going on. All I got was denial and more attitude. I terminated my service with this company last year. A few months later, someone from Terminix allegedly showed up unannounced, never saw anyone, and allegedly sprayed an exterior pest control application. I found out when the bill arrived by mail Since that day, I have been pestered by Terminix through the mail and telephone calls to pay this bill. Each call ends with; OK we have cancelled your service. That's at least 5 times so far. Last call was nasty and the person suddenly acted as if they could not hear me. Held on to the line for 10 minutes listening to this person typing. I had been on hold for 16 minutes prior to that. My opinion is not very good. BTW; the few plants that managed to survive look very sick this spring.

One of the more expensive services I researched. I called for an estimate of their services and informed the woman on the phone that I had other places to call and research, and that I would call back if I chose to use them. Next day I have a gentleman show up at my door unannounced scheduled to expect my house to give me a quote. I explained to him that I did not schedule it and apologized for the inconvenience because he had no knowledge of the situation. He provided his card and left without issue. It appeared as though Terminix does sneaky things to get business. Because of this, I immediately scratched them from my list. I found a local, small business instead, which is better business anyway.

Recently paid Terminix almost $2000.00 to treat my house for flying termites. The inspector did not properly inspect the complete house and did not even inspect the attic or the other rooms in the house. They did not show up for the first appointment, after we called them repeatedly they sent a guy to start the job. He started to drill holes in the yard, then it started to rain. He stopped, no one showed up the next day, again with repeatedly calling and demanding to speak to the boss, they told me they send someone to complete the job monday, today is friday. Don't ever use this company, once you sign the contract and pay them, you are screwed, they will no complete the job.

DO NOT use Terminix! Our experience with them caused months of time & trouble. They used our personal information to charge our personal bank account WITHOUT permission. We ordered a ONE TIME eradication of mosquitoes. They kept trying to sell us on a monthly service, but we didn't need it or want it. They asked two or three times and we said no thank you. Six months later we find an automatic debit on our bank account. We tried and tried to reason with them to no avail. We finally had to deal with our bank to reverse the charge. Now, we're keeping a lookout to see if they try again. They use DISHONEST & MANIPULATIVE practices. They should be liable and sued

I requested service for a rat that got into my house. 1rat (which is covered). On March 6th, 2020, David from Terminix came out and diagnosed my home as having an "infestation" (which of course is not covered) and quoted me over $1700 to fix the problem. He did not set traps or bait stations as he is supposed to and is covered by my policy. I told him I needed to think about it and didn't want to move forward with setting that up right now. He called me a few days later and left a message. I didn't return the call because I had since set my own trap, caught the rat and have heard and seen no other evidence of. I got a call this morning (March 12, 2020) to confirm the service for extermination that had been set up for tomorrow morning. When I said that I did not set up service and asked why and who had done so, I was hung up on. This is not only dishonest but fraudulent and I have filed a formal complaint.

My experience with terminix does not deserve any Stars. I signed up for services in October 2019. Initial payment to start was not supposed to be submitted for payment until after the 1st initial visit. They submitted payment prior to the 1st visit causing an overdraft to my account. Then I called them in November and December for follow up service. They never showed up or call to reschedule. I cancelled terminix in January 2020 after they took yet another payment from my account. I never signed up for auto pay. I received an email from terminix January 23rd, 2020 confirming my request to cancel a service they were not providing. Needless to say on February 7th they took yet another payment from my account that was never authorized. They're not providing a service to me but they are taking money from a senior citizen living in a once a month fixed income. They have already gotten $877 from me since October and only provided service in October. Terminix STOP taking my money for services not rendered and that have been cancelled.

Simply the worst. They could not decide what type of infestation I had that was eating holes in my clothes rugs etc. I even gave them samples of the bugs that I had found myself and placed in a jar for their analysis on 2 separate occasions. They recommended that I wash or dry clean ALL of our clothes($700 dryclean bill). We followed all the advise they gave us. The treatment did not work. We called them back and a different technician said they treated for the wrong bug . After paying several hundreds of dollars for terminex , year contract, and much more for professional cleaning of all rugs and furniture in our house, the problem was not even close to fixed. We called to complain many times. They wanted us to renew our contract and we declined. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to us a technician came to our house and sprayed only the outside without our knowledge, now Terminex wants to be paid $100. I refused to pay them. Now they sent me to collections. I had to have someone else fix the issue but they want “their” money.

If I could’ve rated a zero, I would have. My fiancé and I bought a home back in August . We went into a frenzy when we heard what we thought were rodents in our attic. So we rushed and hired Terminix. However, our services weren’t rendered as the contract stated. We only had one initial visit. Whereas someone was to follow up in 14 days , no one came. We attempted to make two appointments to no avail . After we called regarding a refund the service manager David K finally paid us a visit. We were told that the matter would be followed up. No one ever called and instead stated no refund was necessary per a customer service rep, despite the lack of services being rendered. Now I have left several calls for the branch manager Adrian B to no avail. I WOULD NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES.

Overall Terminex was a fraudulent company. The services that were promised were never received. The company promotes 100% money back guarantee and this is a lie. The dissatisfaction of the customer does not matter it is based off the management teams decision. We were scammed out of $1600, only to receive some bug spray around our home. When I attempted to talk to the management team it took weeks of calls and lack of responses. No resolution was given for the dissatisfaction. Even after speaking to management the six month follow up was still not performed. We had multiple appointments in which no representative came to our home. What a lack of consideration for our time and money? We still never received a refund. I WOULD NEVER PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!

Still waiting to hear from a manager. It's been 7 business days. I've spoken to customer service three separate occasions but no one will call me back to address my issue. I canceled my service in writing 4 days prior to a technician coming out to my residence. No warning, no text notification. Tech just showed up.I was shocked to see a bill in my inbox. I always request an indoor treatment for spiders. But tech never called me. Additionally, I am not sure what the technician did as one of the services is to sweep up cobwebs around the front and rear doors. Charged $150, no one will call me back and I am super frustrated. I emailed the company PRIOR to them coming out and now I can't get in touch with anyone. Ironically, 1 hour after I waste 20 mins on hold at the call center, an automated call comes through asking about their customer service. What a joke. Beware, what used to be a great company, SUCKS now.

Had termite inspection appointment for Friday, 1/10/20 between 3:00-5:00 PM; Calib, the inspector called at 4:00 PM on Friday, 1/10/20 to say he wasn't going to be able to make our appointment, claiming office "over-scheduled" him; I was frustrated because I had left work early for this appointment (loss of pay); when I contacted customer service, the rep could only reschedule me. I said that I would try once more but if they didn't keep the next appointment, I would be sure to write a review to let others know; 2nd appointment set for Monday, 1/13/20 between 3:00 - 5:00 PM; Vincent, the inspector called at 4:30 PM on Monday, 1/13/20 and asked me if I still wanted him to come, as he was 30 minutes from my home; I told him it would be dark in 30 minutes, and asked if he would still be able to look outside of the home? He said "no" but said he could do the inside. I said that would only be a "halfway job" and again, I had left work unpaid for this appointment. I said never mind and that I'd be sure to let others know of their HORRIBLE customer service. Not impressed with such a supposed "reputable" company. Potential customers beware!

Horrible experience! Be smart and look for other reputable companies! Paid close to $5,ooo cash for services after being told I would not be charged finance services if paid by certain date. Paid sum prior to this date. However, finance company sent past due notices for the finance charges. Met with Andrew, Branch Manager and Raul, tech on Dec. 16, 2019 and was told issue would be cleared up and I would be contacted by Dec. 20th. I was never contacted, so today Dec. 27th I called Andrew, Branch Manager to voice my concerns and ask for documentation that issue had been cleared up. Instead of addressing this request, he actually had the nerve to hang up on me and would not respond to my calls! I am OUTRAGED! Called the Corporate Office only to be given the run around by a call service attendant named Andres who also hung up on me! I finally got a young lady McHayle to take my concern seriously and forward it to Regional Manager Russ. He is to contact me within the next couple of days. We will see. I do not recommend this company! I am now stuck with them with a 5 year contract and out close to $5,000.

My family and I had just moved into a new home. We had an unfinished basement that had all kinds of pests crawling around. Also, the house had wasp nest in the eves and corners of the roof. I debated between Orkin and Terminix and let me tell you, I picked the wrong one. We were told that we would get a detailed report on the inside and outside of our home, that didn’t happen. We were told we would be explained a plan of action, that didn’t happen. No cobwebs were removed and no major cracks were taken care of. The gentleman that sprayed our house said maybe 12 words the whole time. When I opened the door he just walked in and started at the basement. Didn’t examine or explain anything. Weeks later, the ants (carpenter with wings) were way worse than before he got there, so I called to have him come back. I explained how the ants were coming out of all the vents, getting in our beds, and flying around mostly by windows. He nodded but didn’t say anything. Just sprayed again and, surprise, it didn’t work. I bought my own spray and pump and actually had way better results. So noticeable that my wife even noticed and said something! I signed up to have the house done quarterly and I wanted to cancel because it was a waste of money. The job was never done right or effectively! But they said I can’t cancel my plan and now I have to pay over $300 during the next year. What a waste of money. I am being forced to pay for something that is not effective and I do not want! Do not go with Terminix. Please explore all options.

I have had so many issues with Terminix. I gave them so many chances to resolve to stay with them but had to leave after two years. Starting with: being overcharged, requesting to be called so I can be at my rental property on time. With no phone calls at all. Not doing everything that was asked. And when requesting phone calls back from a supervisor never receiving those callbacks. I will never use them again had told them on the phone and they continue to harass me on the phone calling every other week to get me back. LOL, like that would happen. Their customer service does not communicate with the techs. However there tachs seem to be very nice and kind but that’s all Terminix has going for them.

Don’t use Terminix. Called for an appointment and they told me a needed to take everything out of my kitchen cabinets. The guy came and said I didn’t need to do that and he didn’t know why they told people to do that. He put some gel stuff out of a tube on the hinges of my cabinets, which fell off the next day. He left some sticky traps sprayed around the house and outside and left. Almost 2 months later he called and set up an appointment and he never showed up. I called and they said they didn’t show he had an appointment. The manger called me and said he would come out the next day. I told him I didn’t get off work till 2:30 and he said ok . He called me the next morning and said I’m at your house and been looking around and you have some problems in your crawl space. I told him I could’ve leave work so he said he would come the next day at 3. He never showed up. I haven’t heard a work from them in over a month and they called today. I told them not to call me again. I have heard more complaints from different people about them. My parents used them for years.

Terminix is not only very unreliable, they make bedbug problem worse. They rescheduled appointments at will. They don't show up, they don't return calls. Because they don't show up the bed bugs spread and now it's more difficult to treat. They are also very unprofessional with the choice of treatment also causing more problems than treatment. Their customer service can drive any person crazy. They try to be polite and promise you everything and do nothing. Once they get your money they just do nothing. Unfortunately I prepaid the service, so getting my money back will be an adventure. Will have to do it through credit card. If you are thinking about Terminix, just run away. Terrible customer service, terrible treatment, and they make the problem worse, not better.

The Terminix rep knocked my door on Aug 21 2019 and presented a discounted service for 199+tax. The way he presented was one time deal not a year contract. On Aug 27, 2019 when their tech provided the service and called the customer service to get my credit card#, they told me that this is a year contract means 4 X 199 plus tax which is very different than what their rep presented to me! I asked for cancellation and they said the cancellation fee is 199+tax!!! I am very unhappy with their service. I think this is a scam. I called and cancelled on Aug 28 and I am going to fight to get my cancellation fee back :( Please be very careful with this company.

Would not recommend terminix. I experienced extremely poor customer service. On 8/8/19, I was scheduled a appt for 8/24/19 8am -12pm. Called the facility on 8/24/19 @ 9:36am to confirm appt which terminix did. At 1:16pm contacted terminix who stated that my home was still scheduled. At 2:51pm contacted terminix again since the technician had not arrived. During my call @2:51pm I talked to Fred , who eventually indicated that the the staff who made my appt scheduled the appt wrong. Fred then stated that I did not have a appt. I requested to tak to a manager , which Fred refused to allow me to do, and stated that he did not have a manager. As a result of the poor customer service, I would not recommend terminix . Would give the agency 0 stars if I could

Horrible - The company claims 100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back this is a LIE!! The company does not stand by their work, and gives you the run around all the way from the initial inspection appointment to every extermination appointment .We selected Terminix for our bug problem. After our first treatment it was impossible to make additional appointments the New castle Delaware office was horrible never returning calls. After several bug treatments we did not see an improvement, it seemed to be getting  worse which we brought to the technicians attention and eventually calling corporate about the job. We went to make an appointment and again could not get a call back so went higher which was the division service coordinator and was told our 90 days was up for the treatment, I told her that the bugs were not gone and she said we would have to set up a new inspection and they will give me a new quote, after initially paying over 1,000 for the first contract I had with Terminix. I feel this corporation is irresponsible and don’t stand by there jobs, now we are stuck with a worse case of bugs , after searching my furniture,  I found an infestation of bugs in my $3,000 couch, which we threw away , after a 90day extermination job that didn't work. This company takes your money and doesn't do the job that you pay for.

If I could give them ZERO stars, I would! My daughter-in-law had them come out and treat for fleas. They spent a total of 20 minutes there. This was a month ago. THE FLEAS ARE STILL HORRIBLE! She has called over and over, and asked for a refund. One was promised by the 19th AT THE LATEST. Here we are, the 19th, and still no refund. She has a 3 year old daughter and is 8 months pregnant. She has not been able to stay in her home for over a month! And, what does Terminix do? They make excuses and pass the buck! It is inexcusable! They basically stole $249 from a pregnant woman, who trusted them to help her make her home safe for her children. Shame on you, Terminix!

0 stars was not an option! Their sales representative showed up at at my home offering a "special'l neighborhood plan. He seemed quite knowledgeable explained to me the course of action that would be taken. He assured me all my pest problems would be addressed and resolved. the price seemed very reasonable for all that was promised. Foolishly I agreed sighed his contract.Then the technician showed a week later. No issues with the guy personally however.He didn't seem to know at all what he was doing.He even admitted to me he had no idea about the pests in my area because he was from another part of the country! He ended up leaving without tending to the main reason he was there in the first place! I did not receive anything close to what I was promised. I called customer service and was told they could not give me a local branch phone number so that I could speak to a manager because it was against their policy! I was told they could e-mail them and I would receive a call within 48 hours .I did not, I called again ,still have not! They processed my credit card payment promptly though! please beware. I am writing this review to save others from being taken advantage of by these crooks the way I have been.

If I could give a negative star I would!!! I should’ve read the reviews before I scheduled them. Just like everyone else’s stories on here I called to schedule a technician to come and look at my place. I left our back door open by mistake and a baby possum ran inside the kitchen and made its way to our attic. The soonest they could come was 3 days so we scheduled the appt and tried to get it out ourselves and after no success we were ready for the technician to come. They said between 8a-12p. I called at 10a to see if they were running on time. I have 4 kids (6 years and under) so I was checking to see if we had time to play outside for a bit since everyone was getting cabin fever. They told me just finished up his last job and was on his way to me as we spoke. 2.5 hrs later no one came!!! I called and they now said he was in a crawl space at another job because it was closer than me. We had got bumped!!!! Called to complain and the branch manager Jessie aichale was no where to be found. Mike the service call had to leave a message on his voicemail. And when I asked what happened and where did the communication breakdown. Mike let me know if was the technician Marvin J job to contact me to let me know he would be running not only past the time the caller said but also waaaay past the time they had given me. Judging by some of the reviews, apparently they do this quite often to their customers, who they claim to value so much. I called on Wed 7/31 to schedule an appointment for today, Friday 8/2. They informed me they would come between 8am and noon to render their services. In the mean time, my 3 children and I obtain a hotel room, to avoid the pest who were biting my kids terribly,for the past 3 nights, after being told my problem would be taken care of on 8/2. As it was approaching 12, I called to see if they were close to being there. Come to find out, without informing me, they had scheduled it for 8/21 instead, because it is more convenient for them to come based on location. Long story short, I'm out of $300 on hotel costs and still left with pest. They basically told me sorry about your luck they couldn't do anything for me. The branch manager was very rude and lacked any compassion or customer service.

I hired Terminix based mainly by there advertising. After four visits to my home the first three said Termites which I already new, They come out of the woodwork weekly or after they spray a big 2 OZ. They do not treat inside as far as I am concerned. The last visit to my home I was spoken to so loudly and with Disrespect, I cancelled within 30 days and said I want a full refund there is always an excuse my boss is out of town. He was not the week I sent Reg mail return receipt and the next day I sent the same notice signed again regular mail. I signed it 7-24-19 My calendar had flipped down to June so it was really 7-22-19.So they would have received by 7-24-19. I told the manager and two others and still no call to discuss refund they are just taking advantage I am 63 disabled with chronic pain among other spine bad problems I would not trust them I was yelled at by a young man in my home who said. " Do you know how old those ads are. I replied there is a word for that false advertising. They put traps outdoors that can take a year. If I knew that was all they were going to do I would do it with my husband who he instructed them to call him on his cell. Which they did not. He has POA. for me which is legal by our atty and aa judge.

I scheduled 2 months in advance to make sure there was no problems when the time came to get the house tented. I was informed by their "inspector" that the tent would be ON for 3 days then cleared. The tent was put on by a sub-contractor, not Terminix, on Monday at 1:30 PM, Then they come back the next morning at 8:30 AM and remove the tent. They left all my windows open, the light inside on and the alarm was off. OK, I called to get someone out to clear the house by 1 or 2 on the second day. The "inspector" says they will be there in the morning, I'm thinking, cool, before 12 noon. But at 1:00 I called the goofball back, still waiting, and he tell me it's going to be tomorrow morning. But wait, The tent came off at 8:30 AM , it was only on for 19 hours.... and then at 10:30 AM on the third day, the guy shows up to clear the house, 25 HOURS LATER.... ! 19 hours to tent the house and 25 hours waiting for some goofball contractor to let me back in my house...? My house was left unsecured, with the windows open, the alarm off and the back room light on all night so security was the last thing on their mind after customer consideration. Terminix could have cleared the house on the second day, but they just ignored me. I will never call Terminix again, their attitude about the customer is just inconsiderate. I have to tent a Duplex next and I will NOT be using Terminix.

I had an appointment for a Terminix employee to come out and assess my wasp/yellow jacket situation. I had sustained a very severe sting and it was recommended by my doctor to have a pest company remove the wasps and yellow jackets from my property as if I was stung again, I could die! Terminix never showed up for the appointment that had been confirmed twice and never called. I spent 4 hours on the phone with Terminix was on hold twice for almost 2 hours and 2 other times the representative never came back on the line. Absolutley deplorable service ! To make matters worse my elderly Mother was in the ER and very sick and I could not go see her as I was waiting for the Terminix representative all day with hopes he/she show up as promised. We have a large neighborhood blog and I will definitly caution my neighbors to never use Terminix. A horrid experience!!
