The Bad

  • Undisclosed Information
  • Services Not Available in All States

Undisclosed Information

For its general pest control program, Insight Pest Solutions offers little information about the plan. The website says the pest control plan covers common ants, spiders, wasps, roaches, termite inspection, and rodents, but does not mention bed bugs, sugar ants, or carpenter ants. And while the company does offer crawl space inspection, it's unclear whether Insight offers lawn treatment or attic service and restoration, and whether its products are pet-safe.

Customers with pest issues can expect an initial treatment followed by quarterly services and a quote can be estimated in as little as two minutes over the phone. While the information is there, it is vaguely described. The site advises customers to call for further details.

Services Not Available in All States

Insight Pest Solutions only offers its pest solutions to 14 states and to ensure customers are getting the right pest control for their area the company advises potential customers to visit the page for the branch nearest their home:

The Bottom Line

Insight Pest Solutions is a growing pest control provider that offers a variety of pest services and add-on products. The company focuses on customer service and aims to control pest problems in an effective and timely manner all while keeping families and pets safe from potential health threats and diseases.

However, Insight Pest Solutions could provide a little more information about its general pest control plan. This will help customers decide if Insight Pest Solutions is right for them.

Terrible customer service. People came by our house that we rent at and said if we sign up we are able to cancel at any time due to renting. Once we decided to cancel then there was an 100 charge to cancel service (which we were never told about upon signing up). Once I tried to address this with customer service and told them we was not make aware of this, they said sorry nothing we can do, you have to pay it . Not willing to work with customers at all! Just terrible! Would not recommend.

Waste of money. Salesman lied and said I could cancel at any time if the service wasn’t working. I purchased the service to get rid of carpenter bees and after calling the company out twice to tell them it wasn’t working, I was told I’m unable to cancel all together, only for the quarter. Will be cancelling in April as soon as I hit the year mark and do not have a penalty fee and will be spreading the news that the company’s product / service does not work.

Dallas Wiatrzyk 19 reviews·7 photos 4 weeks ago If I could give zero stars I would. The customer service department is sorely lacking. We received a fairly good price from the sales person who promised us our price would never ever increase. Fast forward a year and they wanted to TRIPLE our price. We said no. They then sent someone out to spray the yard etc and then sent us a bill ..after we said NO MORE SERVICES. We ended up giving a cheque for that one service (which ended up being $166, it's noted in the email that the tech received the cheque) and now we are being threatened with court if we don't pay. We've sent screen shots of the tech recorded he received the cheque and still we received threats. Do NOT use this company. We've never dealt with a more scammy company. My goodness stay away. We later received a call from a gentleman from the company who wanted to make things right so that we would remove our review. He promised that he would speak to all those involved, he promised this would not happen again, and he promised they would not cash our check. Fast forward a month, ... They cashed the cheque. STAY AWAY!

Stay away. They sold me the annual contract with a promise that they would go around the house and cover every hole and entry points. They also told me the service covers numerous pests and also rats/mice. On first visit, the technician went around the building for a few minutes and sprayed poison on the walls and left. Same thing on the second visit (three months later). Six months into the contract, I started hearing noises from the attic. I called them. They came and set a trap (2 min) and left. They said it cannot be rats because the noise comes during the day and rats are active at night. They did not bother coming in and looking into the attic. I called a different company, they came and looked in the attic for free, and showed me pictures of fresh rats feces. Now I am looking at extra charges for extraction since entry points were not covered in time. The excuses I was given is that insight pest solutions covers entry points only during winter, so trapped animals don't smell. The other company however, told me they can do this any time of year, because the covers they install can be opened from the inside and not from the outside. Essentially, I paid for a service I did not receive. Now I have to pay for extraction. On top of that, they charged me a season's fee as the cancellation penalty. Look elsewhere. For the same money, you can get much better service (including vent covering on ground level and monthly visit instead of seasonally), and you can stop when you want with no penalty. Thanks

Door salesman came to sell the service to my neighborhood and offered a “deal” for quarterly service and said I could cancel at anytime but to sign up now while there was still a spot. What they did not tell me was that there would be a $200 closing cost for canceling. The service was okay. the specialist was super nice and professional but all they do is lay ant traps and spray their pesticides. I can do that myself. Only reason I signed up was because we were having a bad ant and hornet problem with all the rain. it was the worst we’ve seen it in the years we have lived here so thought the timing was right to try. I was planning to cancel after first service but then found out about closing cost. Not happy. We just had a baby and my wife is not working so we cant afford to pay either the closing cost or the service and they said there is nothing they can do.

Ever since I started using their service, I have noticed a significant increase in spider webs around my house and a concerning influx of spiders and other bugs inside. This is unusual as I have lived in this house for seven years without any such problems. Their service has not delivered the promised results. Multiple times, their technicians have neglected to go to the back of my property as our side gate was closed. However, they could have easily knocked on our front door as my wife was always home. They never even bothered to check and see if we needed new traps inside the home. Despite charging a $60 monthly fee, their service is far from satisfactory. I only used them for a year because I signed a contract stating that they would not charge me the initial $300+ if I stayed for a year. However, it would have been more cost-effective to pay the fee and cancel my services. I am incredibly dissatisfied with the low-quality service provided by this company. They are overcharging customers for a service that does not meet expectations.

I am writing this out of frustration and shock. After a year of service, the treatment proved to be ineffective. My property has gone from minor infestation to major infestation of ants (according to their reports). Of course I requested a refund. My interactions with one specific staff member, Lacy P, Director of Customer Service has been extremely unpleasant. Lacey P was entitled and the information she provided me was false and untrustworthy. She lied about the price of a service call when it came to issuing my a refund. After she agreed that I absolutely deserved a refund. I do not think this is acceptable especially from a director of Customer Care. Lacey P should be held to higher standards of conduct since she is the Director of Customer Care. Ms. P should be leading by an example and not be allowed to provide false information. She is lacking integrity, honesty and diplomacy. Insight Pest Solution do better at selecting your employees !

The tech that came to my house came one time and never came back 5 months later I get a bill that says I owe about $600 dollars so I called the company and explained to them that the tech only came one time and I paid for that explained to them that I had security cameras and that I could pull any date up to year and show them they did not come to my home so I was told that it would be taken care of then I get paperwork from a collection agency telling me that they are going to ruin my credit if I don't pay for services I did not receive this company is a scam they get you to agree to services you will never get then when you don't pay because they never came they lie and say they did then turn you over to collections. Collections buys the accounts from insight so insight gets a portion of the money they say you owed and the collection agency gets the rest or they ruin your credit

Tried to cancel my services about a year ago. They restarted my services without asking me. They are now charging for services at address where I no longer live. Their spider treatment was ineffective and acted more like spider food. Originally, I was getting treatment for spiders and ants which somehow changed to fleas and ticks which I never requested and they tried to charge me for it. I tried to call and cancel again today and they were incredibly rude and want another $400 to maybe or maybe not cancel at an address someone is living in. Would not recommend to anyone unless you enjoy throwing money away.

Please think twice about signing a contract with these guys. The entire thing is a scam. Do not sign a contract with Insight solution. What the salesman says and what they actually do too different things. The salesman does a great job selling, the technician on the other hand refuses to do the things the salesman said they would do. Then when you Cancel the contract, they will charge you for bogus cancellation fees and the Discount fee they gave you. And the chemicals they use are ineffective. Ants killers don't work. Spray around the house didn't do anything- Horrible customer service and all they want is to charge you

I wish that I could rate this lower however it will not allow me. I was totally swindled by Insight Pest Solutions, and I was fraudulently charged both as a one time transaction without my consent and by monthly fees after I had cancelled my account. I was approached by a very kind well spoken young man at my home who assured me that his pest control service was the best in the industry and could not only manage my current concerns but better the company I was using and had been using for a year. I was told that they guarantee their services, meaning if the product or service did not work we simply had to alert them and they would make it right. I was then told that if we had to contact them more than twice then I would be eligible to close my account and get a full refund of my costs. I agreed and provided him my debit card to start service. After he did the first treatment I allowed the product over 14 days to "work" as instructed. I then contacted the salesman which I was told to do directly and showed him pictures of my family literally eaten alive along with pictures of the bugs my home was invaded worse than ever and I needed help. My main driver for starting service was my family coming for a month to stay, my neice is highly allergic to wasps and I needed to ensure our problem was well taken care of before she got here. He sent a field manager for the retreat and I was assured if I needed anything else to contact them directly. Well once again I complained as we are now over a month into service, I have paid the initial service, one month AND requested the additional mosquito treatment which was a $70 one time add on. They came out again to do a second retreat and the 1st service for mosquitos and again I was promised that pest control is sometimes variables that need to be figured out before getting total control of the problem but not to worry they were on it. My worst nightmare came true my neice was attacked by a swarm of wasps on my property causing us to rush her to the ER. That day my nephew was eaten alive by some sort of yard bug similar to mosquito bites however the bites looked different. I sent photos and frantic messages for assistance. This was exactly what I feared and what I explained to them was going to be my issue. I at this time told them I was no longer interested in their services and wanted my money back. Without consent they sent yet another tech out to retreat for all services. He did so, and left (they also never even alerted me he was coming again without my permission) At this point I had requested to speak to a supervisor and was directed to a woman named Kayla. She was quite literally the opposite of helpful. She contined to tell me that my HUSBAND told the tech the bugs were coming from the neighbors not our house and that we only had one retreat and needed to allow them to come back I then corrected her explaining that we have had four services over the course of three months, and we got double charged for the mosquito service. Once again she continued to state that we only had one service and had to have another to allow them to correct it. I told her at this time that I no longer wished to speak to her and if her supervisor did not contact me I would take all available actions again Insight. Well shocker, no one called or responded. And when I woke up I found that ANOTHER charge was added to my account. I contacted my bank to stop the auto draft and was informed by Navy Federal that this was not an auto draft that a human was entering in the request for payment each time. THEY ARE STEALING MONEY and getting away with it. I have never in my life been more offended and out right livid that they continue to scam people with out providing any service to exterminate bugs. I have provided documented evidence of every conversation with every employee, picture proof of the damages the bugs are doing and even pictures of the many many bugs I have managed to kill and save to prove my point. It is redicilous that i have to resort to this when I was very clear when I agreed, I am willing to not only pay for service but pay double as long as the damn bugs were gone and my family was safe. They refuse to cancel my account or give me my money back so now I am left with devestation of harmful bugs and less almost $300 for services I never got. I then spoke with my neighbors, who I referred and found out that BOTH of them are being charged for services they are not getting and no one is doing anything about it!!!! I will now on prinicpal continue to fight for the honorable thing. People should not be charged for service they dont get. These people are lying, stealing and simply not good at what they do. BEWARE do not let the salesman convince you as he did me its a trap.

The worst company to deal with!! I was approached at my door steps by door to door sales person on May 31 whom mislead me about how the company is known for doing a great work but My experience was the opposite. Once I had agreed to try the service and made sure that if I wasn’t happy with the initial first service that I will go ahead and cancel the rest of the contract. Where the sales person assured me that I would receive an excellent service and she will cancel my contract if I wasn’t happy. On the day of the appointment, I waited for the technician for two hours. When I reached out to the sales person to inform her she then told me that the technician were at my property 3 hours ahead of the appointment time we had booked ( which was a lie ) when I checked for my home security cameras footage. They didn’t show up at all. The same day I called the sales person to inform her that I was very disappointed with the company being untruthful and i would like to cancel everything and don’t charge my card. She apologized and agreed that I shouldn’t be charged. 2 days later the company charged me for the service they “supposedly “ provided. I have communicated with the office to refund me my money but they refused to do so. I am strongly suggest to avoid this company. The company isn’t trustworthy.

They should definitely had qualified people come to you house to sell you a years worth of pest control. The young man that came to our home was very nice and seemed to know what he was talking about. We agreed to get our yard, spray barrier thirty feet out from our house and the inside. We also signed up for flea treatment at an extra charge of $10. (because we have animals) When the day came we find out they wouldn't do the inside of the house, because we have animals, they won't put the granules in our backyard, because we have animals. So for the same price they dusted the outside of my house to get spider webs and sprayed the house house and 30 feet out (there was a bearded dragon on the porch in his cage) they said they put granuals in my front yard. The technician said the guy that sold us the service was from another state and didnt know what he was doing. The lady on the phone said they didn't have ad on charges. It's on my contract as a add on. You should at least train everyone with the same info and if you cant do the job how do you charge the same amount....Terminix sprays inside with animal and I treat my own yard with animals. Please hire people that know what they are talking about.

This company did a blitz in my area of Canon City, selling their pest control product. I should have stuck with my local pest control company! A household doesn't need to have multiple treatments as they propose, especially in the winter. Basically you are charged 99 dollars for the first treatment, than 99 dollars for three more treatments, done quarterly. That is over priced and is in essence selling you something you truly don't need! They charge you 33 a month to cover these few treatments. That is basically 400 dollars for the year, including the first treatment when they approached me in my yard. One treatment should kill your pest problem, trust me! This is a marketing scheme to make more money by selling you something you don't need, while getting you to commit to a monthly fee. The salesman is slick and convincing. I thought that I only paid 33 when they actually sprayed, not monthly. I thought the follow up treatments were just that, follow up. Thirty three dollars sounded reasonable, not 99! Almost 100 dollars each treatment, and after an initial spray, is just ridiculous and not necessary as they claim in their sales pitch. It was cheaper to cancel, even with early termination fee, than continuing on with a needless "bug spray" set up. Early cancelation cost me $151.00. I feel so stupid getting conned into this. Buyer beware.

I am concerned about the service we just received. My wife was home for this appointment, and shared that we had a mouse or rat underneath the house, as we could hear activity the last few days. We told them exactly where we were hearing the activity and the technician said they he had placed additional traps in that area when he did not. I went under the house this morning to check for any activity. I saw that there are traps right at the opening of the crawlspace but none in the area that we had identified, or in any other area of the crawlspace for that matter. I actually had to crawl further into the crawl space to see this and the technician probably did not have to go completely under to set the traps that he did. I don't want to get anyone in trouble as I know days of work can be very busy, and overall I tend to be happy with the service I have been provided, but if I am going to pay for a pest control service, I should not have to do it myself. Multiple areas of our soft duct work have been torn up, and I hope rats/mice are not within our duct work. I am hoping for a resolution to the problem and more traps to be set up underneath our house in multiple areas.

On April 27th, during the COVID stay at home period, a saleperson came to our door and offered us a no-risk trial for 1 year that we could cancel at any time. My wife and specifically asked him if there would be any cancellation fees if chose to cancel and he assured us there would not be. Everything was agreed to verbally to avoid any physical contact while he remained on our porch. Because our income had not been affect at that point, we decided to give it a try. After the first treatment, that cost us $99 we did not notice any discernible difference in ants but still decided not to cancel. Then, prior to the second treatment, we lost two sources of income due to the pandemic and called them to cancel. We were then passed on to three different spokespersons each saying we would have to a pay a cancellation fee of $100 plus a different in the promotional rate, which turned out to be another $170 for a total of $270. When we pointed out to them we promised this was no risk and never presented or reviewed any physical contract with the salesperson, they did not even bother to deny the salesperson would have told us this. I asked them to check with the salesperson the conversation was explicit and unambiguous, we only agreed to the trial because we could cancel at any time. They said they did not have the salesperson's name and could not do that. They also referenced a subsequent contract which was sent to us by email after the agreement and date of service staring that included the information about the cancellation fee. This was not a contract presented to us at the time of agreement and we never signed it. The salesperson said the contract would be sent later because of COVID but assured us about the no risk terms. Especially during a pandemic like this, such business practices are clearly dishonest. We have informed the company that we would post a warning about them in our public area at our subdivision and have done so.

Sales person knocked on my door, said that all my neighbors used them (mentioned their names), told me that I could cancel the service at any time. I signed. The same sale person sprayed some parts of my home, 10 minutes total, and left. Told me some ants would appear for 10 days and then I wouldn't have more problems. The ants never went away. I called to cancel the service, like I was offered, and was told I cannot cancel my service and need to pay the 12 month contract I had signed. So I'm stuck with this service that doesn't work. Recommendation to users: stay away from this company. Pay only for one service/spray one day if really needed.

We have had services with Insight since earlier this summer and was excited to get rid of spiders and other bugs having 2 little ones. Unfortunately we have been very unhappy with these services. The first time they billed us for services but didn’t actually spray our house but our neighbors instead. They did come out to correct the problem afterwards but since them actually treating the house there has been no decline in bugs. Each time I call or email my concern and I’m given an excuse as to why what they are spraying isn’t working. We have had people come out twice in between services because we still see bugs. Tonight alone I’ve killed 2 bugs, one upstairs and one downstairs. I sent a message today stating I no longer wanted service but rather was told I’m in contract which I wasn’t aware of. I literally had this young guy on my porch telling me about specials they had but not once did I hear mention that I was in a contract. That wouldn’t have necessarily been an issue except when I tell them that it literally seems like they are spraying water around my house as nothing has helped with spiders and other random bugs they give me excuses and essentially want me to keep paying money for this subpar service. I feel cheated and frankly pissed off. I don’t even want to see an insight truck in front of my house let alone have another technician walking around in here “treating” my home. It’s clear based off the response I got from Cory they are more concerned about money than actually providing a quality service. I want nothing else to deal with this terrible company in any way.

I agree with the dishonesty. We had a sales guy come to our home. We just stopped spraying with another company because I became a stay at home mom. The day the guy came we noticed our mouse problem was coming back. This guy gave us a "discounted price" because he had customers already on our street. I told him right off the bat that I cant be held in a contract because I do not work and not sure income each month. He promised me there was no contract or any fee canceling, I could cancel any time after the first 99 dollar fee. He pulled out an Ipad and went right to a line to sign, NO contract was seen because he said, "this is to sign that we agree what we just talked about." On my end my bad for falling to sign something I couldn't even see. We talked about de webbing siding, mouse problem and yard spraying. When the first technician and only came to our house he had NO mouse traps and told me to wait until the next month tech to bring them..... WHAT???? That was the MAIN reason we had gone with this company with addition to NO fees and could cancel. He also said they don't de webb, I followed him around the whole house and inside the house so I know he didn't and he said sometime the sales rep just rambles and states they do stuff but they really don't... THEN, we go to the basement where I already know is where the mouse problem comes from. He finds a dead mouse, laughs and states, "well there is a mummified mouse here" He leaves it there and I ask you aren't going to take is down from the wood beam. He laughs and keeps moving around with his spray for spiders. My husband ended up coming home to take the mouse down. So is Insight not a pest control company? I called because this was horrible service he was not even ready for my home. I was calling to stop my service where then we find out there is a 250 dollar canceling fee if you don't reach an amount of times for them to come. They say this is what I signed. I looked at my email and this is what I signed. So the sales rep that came to my house LIED!!!!! When calling they said that I cant cancel and they want to send out another tech. I do not trust this company AT ALL. They just kept saying they'll lower the price of my cancelation because there is no way in there system to cancel, BULL! The "manager" wouldn't let me speak to anyone higher or more stated there was no on higher than him!!!!!! I had to give one star for this website, I wish I could have given a ZERO!!!!!!!

Horribly dishonest and scary! We were having a problem with boxwood bugs or elder bugs. So we called these folks out and had them treat it. After which we signed what we thought was the bill but was actually a contract for a year. We were unaware that we signed a year-long contract until we kept seeing these folks pull up to our house and then we got more bills. They would not let us out of it. Okay we thought we should have looked at whatever it was we signed which we thought was the bill. So we paid these people for about a year. When we could finally cancel the contract after the year, they would not answer their phone. Over the course of 2 months all we could get was a voicemail and they would never call us back. We had to have our lawyer call them and threaten to sue them, and even then it took a week and a half to two weeks to call us back to confirm that the service was cancelled. About a month after we got final confirmation that the contract was cancelled, we started noticing funnel webs in our front yard. At least 10 of them. We have never had a problem with funnel-web spiders before. Although we cannot prove that this company came out and purposely infested our front lawn, it is an interesting coincidence. We personally treated the funnel web spiders which killed some of them but made a lot of them promptly move to our back yard and to our neighbors. In the last 2 weeks each neighbor has hired a pest control service. So while we no longer have a funnel web spider problem because we personally took care of it, it appears that they spread to both Neighbors. Our view of this company is that they are completely crooked and we would not touch them with a ten-foot pole. I have since installed cameras on my property, so if Insight is reading this know that you will be caught and punished via the law if you come to this house and step one foot on our property again.

The 5 star reviews are clearly paid for reviews-- to off set the majority of 1-star reviews where people are clearly very upset by their experience with this company. In my 63 years, I have NEVER come across such dishonest business tactics. You will NEVER BE ABLE TO GET RID OF THEM. For over a year I have written emails and endured lengthy phone calls with people who can only say I 'signed a 1-year contract'-- thou the initial rep said what is stated in the contract's fine print: you can end services at any time by contacting them. Well, I have a 20+ email trail saying to 'end the services', but only making a claim at the bank stopped the credit card deductions (amounting to $400 at that point). And now it's been put in the hands of a CREDIT COLLECTOR saying I 'owe the balance of 1 year of services'. The thing is, when the service guy came the first time, I saw the services were nothing like what had been promised: he hardly sprayed anywhere, said there were no mice infestations (thou they 'just set mouse traps'!), promised that an expert would come back & check an infestation (still haven't seen one)and left out the attic and most the basement. So I asked him to have the rep call me. Never heard from her, but when another service warning came- I emailed not come until I've spoken to the rep. But a service guy came anyway-- I turned the guy away asking him to tell the rep that I needed to talk to her about the disparity between what had been promised before continuing with the services'. I heard nothing, but a full 'service' was deducted! This happened 3 more times until I made the bank claim mentioned above. One of the 'service appts' was Christmas EVE-! I was out of town, so my renter said she did not authorize him doing anything, so he left, but you guessed it, a payment was automatically deducted from my account. I have turned away every service guy since the first, and for the 2 this spring that I supposedly owe, I was here and NO ONE came to the house Believe NOTHING this company promises-- except that they will automatically deduct charges for services that are nothing like what they originally promise. Now that they've involved a CREDIT collector, I have no choice except to hire for a lawyer to sue them. Considering all the other reviews like mine, I'm afraid mine will just be one of many

SCAM!!! I would give them a negative 5 stars if I could. The sales people hook you by undercutting your existing service providers price, in addition to telling you all of the "standard" extras their services provides. You'll never get those services! The person who actually came out to do the work was extremely condescending and told us we didn't need half the things the sales people who "don't know what they're talking about" (his quote). I had to push him to get him to put down ant control! The second service call wasn't any better. This service person was only here for 15 minutes total, for services in and outside the house, didn't even cover the basics. Oh and the reminder calls you are guaranteed you'll get in advance of a service call don't exist. We never got one, even after I stopped service they still sent someone, which I ended up having to pay for! Trying to quit their services is expensive, I ended up paying $400 to get them to stop.

If you are considering this company, DON"T! They will scam you into a contract, lie repeatedly, even when you have video of their actions, and threaten collections when you refuse to pay for service they "added" because you didn't sign a contract! They also enter neighborhoods where there are CLEAR, POSTED, no soliciting signs and then pretend they were servicing your neighbor and thought they'd "ask neighbors if they wanted a reduced rate since they're in the area." Our neighborhood of 33 homes is currently beginning a law suit regarding all of the afforementioned issues. DO NOT USE INSIGHT PEST SOLUTIONS. And their treatments? They had to be called out numerous times to get meager results.

After being solicited at our home, my husband was sold a quarterly package. The tech said to wait a couple of weeks an if we still saw bugs to call for a free re-treatment. When I called after seeing bugs, they refused the free retreatment and said I would have to pay again for something that did not work the first time. I then cancelled the service and have been continually harassed for another $300 for supposedly the first useless treatment that was discounted. A rep from the company also tried to convince me that seeing more bugs than before meant that the treatment worked. That all of the bugs fleeing the foundation of our home to inside our home meant they were escaping the poison and coming inside instead and I needed to pay for the free retreatment I was promised. *UPDATE* After FAKING concern and asking for my service address, they did NOT try to contact me to remedy the situation instead they sent me to a collection agency for $300. I cannot believe this is how a company operates. Shameful. I will be contacting the BBB as well as an attorney for advice on this matter. It is really sad that they would not just do the free retreatment as promised by 2 different employees of the company. This could have been avoided. I feel like I have been defrauded as well as now being harassed. I would highly recommend that if this company solicits you at your home to politely say NO THANK YOU and shut the door.

BEWARE, this company is dishonest!! I had a door-to-door salesman come to my home and offer a discounted quarterly package. He said I could cancel at any time and there wouldn't be a cancelation fee. A few months later we sold the house and moved. Their customer service agents are now telling me there is $100 cancelation fee??? Total CRAP!! It looks like I'm not the only one this has happened to with this company. They hold you hostage over $100 and try and ruin your credit by sending a collection agency after you. This policy is the WORST customer service policy I've ever seen. A slick salesman who was completely dishonest about the fees. They can continue to do this because they have enough positive reviews on google the bad ones drown out. Take your business somewhere else!!

We signed four times service contract in June 2018. After the 1st service in less a month, we found a big (football size) paper wasp nest under our patio stair. We had request the team back to remove it. Then we found the 3rd and 4th service will be in Dec and March of next year. Since we are living New England area, the ground is covered by snow during the Winter. We ask if they move the next two services to Spring and Summer. The customer service girl rejected this request and we did make couple couple calls trying to convince her there is no value added to visit our house during Winter. We decided to terminate the contract by paying $200+ termination fee because it is no value for both parties to have two visits in Winter; and overall quality and service of this company is very poor.

If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD. 🛑 Warning all about a new pest control company in our area called INSIGHT PEST SOLUTIONS . 😡 RUN! DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I just hung up the phone with their high pressure “customer service” department after registering complaints since August both by phone and in writing. These people did not deliver what they promised and now expect me to pay anyway. On the first and only visit they left a “bug catcher” with the equivalent quality of a 1960’s paper doll in the corners of our garage and called it a day. Charged $219. Also stood me up for TWO set appointments which I set later trying to give them a second chance. They were supposed to block potential access areas for rodents. Never done. Where else do you get the privilege of paying for something you didn’t receive? I will not do it. I’m a business owner myself and would never treat a customer this way. I’m disgusted and don’t want anyone else to get stuck. Now they threaten putting a black mark on my credit And demand a $100 cancellation fee?? In the beginning they said a no worries cancellation if not satisfied. What? Charged extra For not paying because I did not get what they promised? No. Stay away! They’re charmers at the door and horrible after that. Calling my lawyer. Maybe small claims court. If you know me, you know this is not my M.O. but I am infuriated. Don’t want any one else to fall for this SCAM!

Around late July, 2018, a young guy Darrell H, from Insight walked around my neighborhood, knocking on doors to pitch sales. I did not want/need Insight service and he was nearly begging me to get the service. So, he and I haggled back and forth for the price of each Insight treatment(quarterly) and after a few calls to his supervisor, we agreed on $80.00 per treatment. At the time of signing the contract, I saw the $80.00 for the first treatment and ignored the remaining three quarters, which is $100.00. My bad, I know, but at the time, after spending 15 mins haggling with the rep, I trusted that I was getting what we were negotiated. Will not open the door to talk to these guys again after my service agreement ends.

Is there a zero star for rating this Insight Pest Solutions? I just got scammed by these guys. On 6/28/2018, lovely young woman named Holli Harris at my door explained to me about this scammed company's services. She said she could not find enough people around my neighbors for tomorrow service and offered a one-time discount rate $129. Lied TO MY FACE, she got my credit card and completed the transaction for that verbal one-time service. I was asked to sign it and believed it was just a one-time service agreement. I signed it and did not either bother to check the paperwork later when receiving via email. I got the the service on the day after and did not think of anything else as I always thought it was a one-time service. In September 2018, they sent someone to my place and asked us to do 2nd service. I was so surprised and asked him to go away as we had nothing to do with this scammed company. He told me you had signed the YEAR LONG SERVICE, which Holli never mentioned. I went back and check the old email I never read after signing and found out I was lied by her. I signed it and I was stuck. I called to cancel the service and received a bill of $240 ($100 early termination fee and $140 from discount rate if you keep full year service agreement). I wished I would ever open the email right after signing so I could cancel the service right away. Too bad I did not read it and it was too late to read it in September (more than 30 days passed after 1st service so $140 is unavoidable). Well it was a big lesson for me to learn and worthy to share with social media. Social media will bury you. Woburn, MA

if there is a zero rating, I will give it a zero. A guy came around our neighborhood and explain the one year service and never explained the prepayment penalty that they will charge if you are not HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE, he basically told me to sign (my bad, I know , but who charge prepayment penalty - especially if their service sucks) the primary reason I avail of their service is for the ants that are going through our patio door and they are still there. I treated the ants with over the counter insect spray and worked better. I was charged $150 prepayment penalty. I hope no one ever sign up for this service.

This company is a thief they came to my neighbors house tell her that they can killing the flying ants . She referred them to me. The salesmen told me it was a 1 time agreement of $69. I wrote him a check for that amount. They came out in May 2018 and gave me the treatment for the ants. The told me to allow 14 days to see the difference. I waited 14 days and called the office to inform them it was no difference; I still had the flying ants after 2 weeks. The came back out in June and gave me another treat supposedly at now charge. I continued to have the ants. Trying to trust the company i still had the ants. They came back for a 3rd treatment in July 2018 at that time I told the guy that it still wasn’t any change in the flying ants. They fly late evening & at night. He then said he would spray the garage. I never had the ants in my garage just outside only. I received a bill for that than Service for $109.00. They called to notify me of a service that was due 9/6/2018. I advised them that I was discontinuing the service because I still have the ants and don’t come out. As of today 9/14/2018 I still have the flying ants. I got my mail out of the box today and I received a bill from Insight Pest Solutions in the amount of $300.00 I called to inquire about it and the rep by the name of Gabe told me what I already knew that my treatment was a one time agreement charge of $69. So I shouldn’t have a bill. He also told me that Insight do not kill the flying ants we just prevent them. When I ask what do he mean by that he couldn’t explain it. So why am I being bill for service not rendered. I’m customer #905641

We returned from our walk to find a card hanging from our door knob that outlined a summer treatment summary. The name and address on the card was hand written, the address was correct, the name was wrong. The card indicated that our house and lawn had been treated with various chemicals for fleas ticks, ants spiders etc. I was furious because we do not use or permit any insecticides on our property. I called the phone number provided on the card. A woman answered," Customer Service". Shortly after explaining that we received a service that we did not want, I realized she was some type of answering service masquerading as the company's office. She said she would send an email to the company. This was three days ago. No call back, no nothing. After reading the other reviews I realize this is some fly by night outfit designed to take your money. Besides, what are they to do, remove the poison from our property? A very sorry would have finished it. Im debating whether or not to go further with this complaint. On the other hand from the reviews it sounds like what they sprayed my have not contained poison after all because there were many complaints of ineffective treatments.

I have a no soliciting sign on my door and a door to door salesman from insight knocked on my door tonight at 7:30 pm and started out with how sorry he was to bother me but he was going to be in the neighborhood tomorrow spraying and... I sttopped him told him to leave immediately. This company breaks the law and doesn't care, I wouldn't hire them for anything! This is a clear sign of their integrity! I've attached two photos, 1 of my no soliciting sign that's been up since I bought the house and another is a screenshot from a previous review (a year ago) complaining about this very issue and the company responded saying they'll address it! Lies to cover lies, I warn any potential customer to stay clear!

We signed up for their quarterly service with the initial treatment being $69, however, they quickly performed the quarterly service at $99 just 30 days after the initial treatment. The sales lady said the 30 day service was a follow up to the initial service NOT an additional $99 service. Not happy with the bate and switch. Very deceptive. I just heard back from the sales person. They stated their quarterly service is 5x a year. Again, very deceptive. Not sure how they get away with this. From reading other reviews here, it appears this is a recurring theme. I would stay away from them. 8/23/18 UPDATE - After many calls with customer service reps for the last week or so, a manager named Bill called me. He offered me the quarterly service, which I was deceived about, at no cost if I continued with the service going forward as I expected. I explained to him that the relationship had been soured and that home pest control should not require this much work, debate, calls and confusion. My previous pest guy showed up, did the work, and got paid. No confusing contracts or deceptions about quarterly service occurring 5 times year with follow ups costing me more - with no indication of additional cost from Insight Pest Solutions. The fact that I was deceived from the start convinced me that this was not going to work going forward. He apologized and agreed with my frustration and said he would cancel my account. I did not ask about cancellation fees and he did not mention it either. As soon as Bill hung up, I received an email with $300 is fees. Please note, that this was a very deceptive, approximately $470 contract for 1 year. I already paid about $69 and they are charging me $300 to cancel the contract. This is text book corporate bullying. I am pretty sure they will send this to collections but I am ready and will spend what is needed to prevent this company from doing this to other people. This company is out there to deceive people. I will be filing a complaint with local and state consumer agencies as well as the BBB.

I signed up during a promo with the first application for $1.00 and a contract for four additional applications at $125 each within the year. I agreed but had to give them my credit card number to initiate service. However, I clearly stated that I would prefer to be billed by mail since I have had my credit card hacked three times. I did not want automatic payments place on my card. The rep agreed. I booked my first appointment and all went well until they automatically billed my credit card. After a call and discussion with a supervisor, it was agreed that I would place a call to schedule my next appointment (I wanted to be present during service to assure that the areas that needed to be treated were done) and that I would receive a paper bill in the mail. My second contracted service date was without incident. I received a phone call to schedule my next appointment for December. I explained that there would be no reason for service to my New England property in December since my property would be covered in snow. I was told that their product looses it’s efficacy in 90 days. I again explained that I have no insects to treat and the snow didn’t need to be treated . Long story short the spring application went as well as could be expected. I monitored the treatment, was able to point out problem areas of ants in the yard and was billed by mail. This last treatment was again a nightmare. They showed up without an appointment. My neighbor called me at work and he stopped the treatment at my request. I called Insight and scheduled an appointment but they never showed up. I woke this morning to a card in my door listing the details of the treatment they did at 8:30 this morning. I am so glad that this now ends my contracted service. I don’t recommend this company. They are only about the bottom line dollar and no customer service. And in the end, my ant problem in the yard remains.

i have had a private contractor provide pest control for me for the last 5 years and I was very satisfied but one day i had a representative from Insight Pest Control come to my door and he pitched his company's pest solutions. He told me that i could sign up today i could get a trial first service done for $59 and if i wasn't satisfied i could just call him and cancel the service. Well of course that is not how it works the service was pathetic they just sprayed some solution in front of my doors and it just ran onto my floor, the same with my bathroom. They just barely dusted my gutters with some powder that seem to just blow away in the breeze and the sprayed a little something on some sugar ants i had in my driveway that "I" had to point out to them. I should have taken the bad reviews about Insight to heart and this would not have happened to me. Bottom line is the are the worst pest company out there and i ended up have to still pay in full for one service even though i never got that one service. Steer clear of Insight Pest Control!!

The worst, most unethical business I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. It is nothing more than a money making scam. The salesman came to the door cold calling. Trying to be polite, I listened to his pitch and after much clarification on my part, agreed to the terms we discussed. All the terms were lies. He stated the first treatment was to be a discounted rate of about $50, "Cancell at anytime". He also said there would be a free follow-up treatment in 30 days, to just see how things were doing. After the "free" 30 day follow-up, I recieved a bill for $116. I called to inquire why I recieved a bill for the free follow up. The lady on the phone couldn't answer and promised a manager would call me by the end of the following day...right, of course, no one called me. So I called them back and got a hold of a manager. He said the follow-up was never free and that it was stated in the contract of fine print. Shame on me for not verifying the word of the saleman. I asked him to cancel my contract imediately. He said sure, but I owed the $116 plus $189 for the remaining value of the first "discounted" treatment and $100 cancellation fee for a total of $405.00. Also, if I didn't pay, he would send my case off to the collection department. After much arguing, (and claiming he'd probably have to take the money from his own pocket...ya, right again), he agreed to cancell my contract for $266 of which I'm waiting for the bill to arrive. The ONLY reason I'm going to pay it is because it is a lesser hassel and expense than trying to restore my credit. Please stay clear of these scam artists. P.S. The bugs are as bad as ever.

The company seems to be well advertised for but the bottom line their service is not really effective. The salesman cried at my door to give the company a chance, and he offered different levels of protections and guarantees. Since I got the first service which was not effective at all, I contacted them few times at the hope they come back again and re-spray as they promise, they never responded back to me so I gave up I took the money as a loss. All of the sudden, they automatically scheduled a second service without my consent, and they came to spray in two days ignoring all my complaints! The company is not up to my standards, and the chemicals I used from the local hardware store are much more effective.

We tried them for a year and they had to come back at least once after every service because there was no decrease in bugs. They said the return visits were free of charge, well apparently not if they have to come back a 3rd time within a certain period. Right before there last visit i called to cancel there service. They told me i had a credit on my account and would do this annual spraying for free and cancel my account. I called a week later to confirm my account was cancelled and noticed I was charged $77. So i asked them why i was charged if the service was supposed to be free and they said incase they needed to come back out... for 1 my account it closed so why would you keep my money and 2 i cancelled my account because it doesnt work i saw absolutely no difference between when i had the service and didnt so why would i call you back? I am still trying to get my money back!!! I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy.

Horrible company to deal with. Like many other reviews say, their door to door salesmen lie and they use dishonest sales tactics. I paid in full for the first service call then cancelled because I still had bug issues and their competitors were much cheaper. Was hounded by the company that I owed them $130 for the discounted service for the 3 additional treatments. They reduced the amount to $70 but they kept changing their stories after they told my husband there will no longer be balance. They have an issue dealing with woman too. I paid more than adequate compensation for the one treatment I received $130 but they still wanted the total to be $200 for one treatment. Reported them to the BBB after the lies and harassment and finally made an offer to pay them $35 which was 1/4 of the discounted amount which they refused to accept. This company must be desperate to come after me for an additional $70 and threatened to take it to collections agency. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!

I am absolutely disappointed in the way Massey Services and Insight Pest Control handled a mistake on our bill. My wife has tried to rectify the issue since April (3 months) and that is unacceptable and highly disappointing. We liked the service they provided when we started and due to the in actions of their customer service department, it has ruined their customer service reputation. My wife had proven time and time again with emails and documentation that the $102.00 was a mistake and it took them until 6/30/2017 to remove it. That's not customer service, that's disrespecting your clients who have been a loyal customer. Why did it take so long? Was it because we decided to cancel the account that you decided to take action … bad on you! WE will take our business elsewhere. Thank you! Highly disappointed, Jesse John Herrera

I just got scammed by these guys not even an hour ago. Lovely young man at my door selling services. He talked it up, made small talk in between, made my appointment. Lied TO MY FACE. He said I'd be getting a service for $129. Gave him my credit card and his story was "can you just read it to me, it's easier for me" so I did. See, they never actually touch your card so you can't say they possessed it. La dee dah, I signed and he said he'd email me my receipt. Look at the receipt and it says I just signed up for a YEAR LONG SERVICE, which "Taylor" never mentioned. I signed it. I'm stuck. The receipt says specifically "this is not a one time service. It's a year long service." It also says that if I cancel before the year, they have a right to keep that first payment of $129. Yeah I'm stupid. Oh and I called immediately to cancel and surprise surprise, has to leave a message. And boy, did I. Chalking this up to a $129 lesson but they messed with the wrong person. Social media will bury you.

I entered a contract with them about 1 year ago. I'm writing this about 5 months after canceling my contract. They send college students door to door for sales, promise total control with no cost re treatments if needed. However, their service is much less than desired, their re treatment in my case (for ant control) made no impact. I suppose I could have kept recalling them, but truthfully it was more efficient to exit their contract and get a real pest control company to come out.Their contract works annually and is payable in quarters. The salesman told me I could cancel anytime after the second quarter if I was not happy without penalty. Since they don't disclose their contract cancellation policy at signing, it cost me $150 to end my contract after the second quarter. I signed for the contract on an tablet the salesman carries, it provided no information on contract policy cancellation. When I canceled they sent me a copy of my contract with large box next to my signature detailing the penalty for early cancellation (that detail was not there when I signed, clearly it was added after I signed). I give them a 1/10 rating because I did notice a decrease in ants (though not to extent promised), but in my opinion they use false advertising techniques, don't disclose their contract in order to mislead customers and so I think it's just short of scam. Beware of this company. I would recommend staying away.

only giving a one because they customer service act like they was very helpful. the first time i called customer service told me i can get someone to treat my apartment the same day. micheal luisa told me he couldnt treat it because he had other appointments and that i would need to reschedule a treatment. when scheduling a treatment i spoke to queene and she told me she would have someone come out that saturday. i called friday the customer service person told me i didnt have and appointment saturday and that she would set it on the 15th of march. on the 15th of march i got an called from oneday saying that they would have to reschedule because the tech quit that day. i fuss then they send out micheal luisa who first did the inspection. micheal treated my room, the living room, the kitchen and the launry room charging the laundry the kitchen and the living room as one room which was the total of 400.00 and stated to me that he would be back in 2 weeks to check. i called 3 weeks later and they told me that they stated in my inspection paper saying they are not coming back out. what company treat a place and not check on their work. dont go to them if you have bed bugs. micheal didnt even know anything about bedbugs dogs being apart of inspections. they did not tell me that they would not come back out

The last technician placed the mice traps in locations that are easily of reach to my child. Their solution/spray do not get rid of spiders. I just gave up.
