My husband called to cancel services in May and the person on their end didn't even out notes in the system to cancel us out. Just to be informed that we are being charge because they said they sent someone out to our home without our consent and trespassed into our backyard. Some called today asking for a cc expiration number and for payment. In the end after my husband explained everything the lady whom stated she was a manager said she couldn't wave the fee. Not only could she not help us, but she sounded loopy like she was on drugs. She was slurring her speech and stated that she would send the bill to collection and hung up on my husband. I will never recommend this company. The guys don't spray all over and they don't clean the webs like they are supposed too. We are calling BBB.

We signed on with them for almost 9 months. We gave them a fair chance to get rid of our pet problems. They sold a good deal, but did not wear proper face masks or social distancing (I signed on in March of 2020). They billed the amount they quoted us, and during the times they said. No issues on billing so far, but that might change as I am on the phone with them to cancel right now. We know they showed up once to our house during the 4 times scheduled. This was during the pandemic so our house had someone at it 24/7 and no one showed up but when we complained we were seeing ant mounds (we did not see those with ABC pest control). The did not treat the property saying they do not cover mice, snakes, or chiggers. I was told they did when we signed on to the contract. I had planned to tough it out for the year to try them out. HOWEVER, I cannot deal with inaction and lies from a company charging me money.

I am very upset with Aptive again. I am paying for service that is only done half way. This is the second time the technician didn't do what was asked. I called and asked to be given a 30 min heads up, didn't happen. I asked to have the webbing cleared out in the garage, not done. I asked to have the traps replaced in the garage, not done. I asked the service department to put it in the notes so that the tech would know what to do. I am considering canceling this service because I do not enjoy paying for half the work. The tech didn't even let us know that he was done with the servicing. This is very frustrating and this isn't the first time. I am close to giving 1 star on Google reviews next.

ALERT/WARNING to anyone: I had my last service last week and unfortunately the technician who performed the service stole my watch from my night stand. Is is very unfortunate that you cannot trust a person from a company for 10 minutes while they walk around your house (I was not able to follow him all the time). Stealing is not fun for anyone specially when you call in more than 5 times to ask to set a record and talk to a manager and you get various set of answers. The manager finally (very professional) called me 3 business days later to ask me about the incident. Still up until today no clear answer on what will happen or how are they going to respond to this incident. I can go on an on.

recent technician did very poor job. I request to take a look into crawl space . at first he hesitate to go into crawl space to check rodent activity. I have told him there is rodent activity and prior all technician went to crawl space plus they put trap as well this guy did go down in crawl space and he did not look closely .i told him there few trap place to catch rodent did you see anything. he replied there is no trap the after he gone I took a look and i see trap is there I also told him to check any potential in and out way of rodent around house and he replied he have to cover another 20 house so he have to go after this. he did not for check any tunnel or possible hole around house. very very dissatisfied this time

Notified Aptive regarding the situation, and said since it wasn’t noted by Tanner they sent whom ever, bad business practice. Pls send the requested preferred tech as discussed during signing up or will cancel.

Seemed fine, the only thing I would ask is that next time he closes the gates as he walks around the property. Those gates are closed for a reason, to keep the dogs in the yard. If they were closed to start, they should be the same way when he exits.

What my responsibility is, if I want to get rid of fleas especially. Was thorough and quick while doing an excellent job. I will stay with Aptive as long as Dan is my tech.

The people that come out to service the house are great. The people in the call center could not care less. The website never lets me review the technician to give them the $5 bonus which is annoying, but it will let me review the main business. That's suspicious and takes off another star. On 2020-09-25 at 12:06 PM PDT I received an email with the subject "Completed Service" from the technician. I have full surveillance on my property and I can assure that my property was not serviced. Shortly after around I received another email at 3:24 PM PDT with a charge for the quarterly service. This was very disappointing to be lied to about a service I did not receive but also being charged for it. I have already called and lodged a complaint but wanted to also wanted to share my experience of my 1st quarterly service as a new first time 2 year contract Aptive customer. I am very disappointed and will require any tech who services my address to request permission before any work is performed so that I can be certain I'm getting the service I am paying for.

Quick, easy, convenient sign up process. However, the technician that arrived today did not seem knowledgeable or was very forthcoming about exactly what he was doing or how it was going to help. A big spider remains in plain sight outside on the sliding door I sit next to, so I question how thorough he was during the service.

Having major issue getting any servicing between major servicing...was supposed to get a follow up major service within a month of the first service...nope. Scheduled multiple follow ups to have bait traps checked and refilled - got one of those since July. Not once have there been any communication as to why I am not getting the follow up service that I was told I would get.

I was convinced to move to Aptive from Terminex with the promise that their product would do at least as good of a job and was better for the environment. I had been with Terminex for three years and never had any spider issues - I was always pleased with the outcome. Immediately after switching, not only do I have spiders inside, but I have webs everywhere outside, which I never had before. I have had two full services with them, and still awful. They claim they do an even better job due to sweeping eves, however, this is not the case. I have been emailing them via their app for weeks, with not one response. I have sent five emails including two to the branch manager listed. Not a peep, which is why I have moved on to submit reviews. I am furious that I am stuck with this company for a year. DO NOT SWITCH - it is not worth saving $15 per quarter.

Disappointed so far. We had issues with a prior technician not doing a good job, then the last guy was great but this guy wouldn't come in the house. As long as he/she is wearing a mask we should we receive the service we were told we would get and have paid for, otherwise the costs needs to be discounted. When the sale guy came to our home we were moving in and he just kept badgering us until we signed up. In hindsight, we are very disappointed and I should have just told him to leave and walked away.

I wish I could give zero star on here. I search google for best local pest control company, Aptive showed up. I called while checking yelp review, seeing some bad review on here but the sale rep. insisted that Yelp reviews were filtered and asked me to check bestcompany.com, which showed a lot of good reviews. I clearly stated that my 3 stories house is sitting on an upslope, the tech. has to come inside my house to spray the side (bugs) and backyard (rats) which is 40 feet above the street level. I set up for initial service on a Monday 10am to 12 noon, follow up service in a month and then quarterly thereafter. When I provided with my credit card info., she said the $50 discount only apply to bank account debit so I have to provide my bank routing and account number. Big mistake here as it’s much more difficult to dispute a payment, don’t fall for that trap. I was told the tech. will call or text me 30 mins. prior to service. I got a email confirmation the day after my order. On Monday, I called around 11:15 just to make sure, only to be told they have already showed up earlier and sprayed the front of my house. I was furious and insisted they come back for the service. After putting me on hold for 30 mins. the rep. told me that the branch manager Taylor will call me as soon as we hang up. He never call me, only got the same old text for my service and a email that I was billed for the service. I was so confused until those techs. showed up again after 12 noon. David was holding a mop pole and Omar did all the talking with serious attitude problem. Informed me that they showed up at 9am, rang door bell with no answer, did the front and left. They only go by the route provided from 8am to 8pm and blamed the scheduler for my 10-12 app. and I should be happy that they showed up at 9am. I told them they need to treat the rats at my backyard and Omar just brushed it off by telling me they don’t have the supplies in their van to treat rats. I just told them to leave. I checked my security camera, it showed that they pulled up around 8:50am, Omar pressed my doorbell only once which I didn’t hear. David just stood there with the mop pole and his phone, cleaned a little around my garage and front door. Omar sprayed a little at the front. This was 5 mins. and they sat in the van for 5 mins. and left at 9am. The way this company conducts their business and the way they treat customers is a disgrace. Now I know why they are getting so many bad reviews on here and should have trusted Yelp. It could be just the Los Angeles location but you are taking a big chance dealing with this company. This is a long statement but I need to get my points across to help prevent more victims falling for this scam.

My salesman promised my entire yard, front and back, would be treated every time they would come out after I explained to him that I have a big issue with ants in my entire yard. Our service man told us he would only spot treat. I still have a huge ant problem in my front and back yard, and I was completely mislead. I would have never entered a contract if I was informed that my entire yard would not be treated during each of my services. What exactly am I paying for if product is not being used in my yard, where I have the biggest issue? The salesman was completely misleading, and the service man did not help when we asked him about treating our yard. As of now, I feel so uneasy about your company and about the fact that I am in a contract based on misleading information I was provided. I spoke to Jarrod, a very helpful man in customer service, and he set up a free service on Wednesday with notes asking them to treat my yard as promised.
