if i could give them negative 10 stars i could. i have been trying to contact them for last 10 days. each time representative picked up the phone, they hanged up on me. i have tried 4 times. i transferred the money from gobank to my chase. its been 15 days, they money has not arrived to my bank yet. as per now, i am still on the phone. i have been waiting over 2 hours and no one has answer my calls. their emails does not reply well. THEY ARE SCAMMERS, THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND MY MONEY HAS NOT ARRIVED TO MY BANK AFTER TRANSFER. i would just say, be careful. its easy to deposit money to gobank but hard to take money from gobank. i am going to file complaint to FTC, FDIC, AND POSSIBLE FILE SMALL CLAIM IN COURT AS WELL AS ALL POSSIBLE DAMAGES AND ATTORNEY COST.

I would give zero stars if possible . I've had them for a year and has been great until my IRS refund went into the account . MY account already had funds in it when the direct deposit cleared on Feb 27th2019 . I had 1 transaction which was a utility bill every month nothing unusual. I was at a restaurant when I was made aware via mobile alert that if been blocked from my funds for unusual activity. I needed to upload a valid photo ID which I did imediately and was instantly responded to that it could take 2days to verify my identity and my account was closed and could not be reopened ,my funds could be claimed from IRS and could take 120 days . ! I was in a restaurant and couldn't pay how embarrassing and humiliated. Even worse I can't get a soul on the phone at all I have called over 200 times only to have the automated system hang up on me after it's usual spill.

This is the worst bank ever. My card was STOLEN and I could not log into the app because I forgot my pin, which I could not retrieve because I didn't have the card number. I call the support and verify all of my information. SS number, DOB, telephone number, and adress. They tell me the adress isn't what they have on file so I give them my current adress AND my last two adresses. They say they cannot verify, impossible I haven't had the card long. They say they won't do anything because they can't verify the adress even though I gave them all the other information. I tell them I want to talk to a supervisor because it needs to be cancelled asap. I am told I cannot talk to a supervisor because I can't verify my adress. Are you kidding me???? What kind of customer service is this???? Terrible! I have no way to cancel my card or even get a new one and its STOLEN.

They are without a doubt the worst bank I have ever had and can’t wait to get rid of them . As soon as I get my new direct apposite set up I’ll be done with them they let a company suck $360 out of my account after six months of not having dish TV that came back in and took $360 out of my account and go bank let it happen terrible terrible business. And I even tried to fight it with the bank called them showed them were dish network was wrong and they had no rights to go in there and take money out of my account that they had to use my card without my authorization did Gobank fix it no they denied my dispute and gave it to dish net terrible terrible bank run as fast as you can away from this bank.

Terrible experience! I received a call from "GoBank" and I was asked if I needed a loan. Of course, who doesn't. They claimed that the interest rate was only 11% and I had 2 years to pay it back. The payments would be less than $250 per month. I agree borrow $5000. And the dance began: First GoBank wanted $250 on a GoBank card. I put $250 from my checking account on their GoBank MasterCard purchased at the Money Center at Walmart as per their instruction. Then they wanted another $399 as "insurance form the loan because your credit score is low." His accent was so thick, I thought he said $399.90 but after I put $399.90 on a second GoBank card, he said, that he needed the exact amount of $399.19. Claimed he couldn't refund the $399.90 but I would receive it with the loan check. So I bought a 3rd card and put the exact amount he requested, $399.19, on the card, again, from my dwindling checking account. Now, he says this 3rd card doesn't work for some reason and I need to go CVS or DOLLAR GENERAL and purchase a GOOGLEPLAY card to transfer the $399.19 from the GoBank. I presented the card to the cashier who called (someone) and was told that the GoBank card was invalid. By now, I have given them a total of $1,138.28. I know that you are saying, " How stupid could this woman be!!!" After many call-backs and holding, he comes back with--get ready: "Ma'am, you have a red flag on your account. You need to send us $500 now to remove the flag so we can deposit your loan." UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! That's when I came to my senses! You think you are too smart to be scammed. Wrong! Please stop these GoBank. Despite of all of the warnings, some of us simply too trusting! I will know better next time. I am a single parent. To lose this kind of money is by far the worse financial experience I have ever had. Please stop them!!!

If I could give a lower rating I would. Not only have they been holding my funds for over a month now, Ive been a customer for over a year without problems. Now not only can I not access my funds, but whatever number I call (try hq number if you can't get thru the 888 number) it sends me to the same dead end phone loop. So they want me to just deal with it and shut the heck up. I can no longer even contact support thru their email link they have taken it off my account page. Very very very bad customer service. The worst I would even say of any service I've used ever! Fees are high and reloading is cumbersome and takes up to 3 hours to show sometimes. If I were to say I absolutely abhor GoBank and Green Dot as a company it would be an understatement. Run away as fast as you can and do not give them a penny or you will lose it. I hope the executive team gets drawn and quartered publicy, as well as anyone who does business with this sorry bunch of greedy pigs.

A fradulent account was opened in my name at Gobank. I am unable to close the account because I cannot confirm the address and phone number associated with the account. (Of course not, I did not open it.) The debit card for the account went to the scammer. I am not allowed to speak to the Fraud Department for the same reasons. Do not use this bank if you want professional customer service. It is hard to believe it is a legitimate bank. Remember, Walmart is the parent organization. That tells you something. l only selected one star so that I could move to the next page. They deserve no stars.

I had fraudulant charges on my acct. I was on the phone with the bsnk and logged into my acct watching it get drained begging the cs rep to close my acct and stop it . all he did was hang up on me. Its been 9 days ive been told they do not have a fraud dept. Oh and it took 3 days to shut down my acct. Ive told to write a letter to explain the charges. I was told to contact the merchants were the cards were usrd and get the money from them. Then today my case is extended. So even more time before the reversal of my funds. I live paycheck to paycheck and this has devastated me. Dont do this to youtself. Its disgusting and unprofessional how they traet customers dont let it be you please

If you decide to cancel their account because you realize they do all the awful things you read on this website and find no additional benefit than a regular bank; Then If you try to reopen the account because Uber is using them for rewards, they won't reactivate it, the email you used to open the account is permanently banned from being used again. I guess the founder of this Gobank, think they are royalty that if you abandon them you don't deserve to go back with your Primary email. They make you use another email to open another account. What a ridiculous policy. It's the 21st century, things are easy made to be programmable and flexible. How hard can it be to just delete the canceled profile, its no longer usable, and restart all over again, thus getting a customer back. But they rather punish you by banning your primary contact information from being used again. The only thing that attracts new customers is the claim to not have overdrafts, which is bogus, all they do is return the payments back to the company, which in turn can trigger a "return fee" from the other company, canceled services, or delayed deliveries that you need, and if your payment got returned around the due date, in top of that you will get a "late fee", which when combined can amount to the same fee's of a traditional $35 overdraft fee from banks like Chase, Bank of America or Wells Fargo. I rather stick with Chase or Well Fargo because they actually have customer service and real human at a Branch or Over the phone that can make any changes to your account. I have canceled those accounts in the past and they easily let you used your same Email and Phone number to reopen the account.

Wow. What a headache. All I try to do was activate this card by calling the 1-800 number on the debit card. And they were trying to give me gift cards with all these subscriptions that if I didn't like, I could cancel and keep the gift cards. I was not interested as I couldn't understand what they were saying, they were speaking so fast and reading the rules that you have no clue what you're receiving and why you're receiving it. And when I asked for them to repeat why I was receiving gift cards they copped attitude and just repeated whatever they were reading. I was so frustrated one of the ladies that I started complaining to told me that just hang the phone up then. I received the car today spent 2 hours trying to activate it with these fools trying to give me gift cards and do all of the stuff before allowing me to activate the card that I cancelled the card the same day I'll go elsewhere. Shame on Uber to recommend this crappy company

BBB should have shut these scam artists down years ago. They've held 900$ of mine and my boyfriends money hostage since June. It is now october and I have sent all requested/valid information and they still havent released my money. Just get a prepaid card if you need something to pay bills with. They "supposedly" closed my account because my boyfriend started sending his direct deposits into my account, even though we have the same address. Cant get through to anyone. The corporate number expires, if they call you, within hours (somehow?!). You can only call the number on the back of the card up to 3 times and then you get sent to an automated system, and its then almost impossible to get through to a person for at least 24hrs. Record all calls, save all emails, and every correspondence with them.

If I could give 0 stars I would!!! Worst prepaid product on the market by far!!! They closed my account for no reason!!! I updated my billing info and requested a new card because the old one was damaged. They sent me a new card. When I tried to activate it, it said my account had been blocked for unusual activity. They asked for me to upload my id for verification. I promptly did so. Then this morning was advised by the automated system that my account was closed and would not be reopened. Could not even speak to a real representative!!! GoBank = trash!!! Warning to all, look elsewhere for a better prepaid debit card provider!!!

This bank is ridiculous. I used them primarily for uber. The they cancelled my account due to a check not going thru properly for direct deposit even though I spoke to an associate to have the deposite cancelled so I could cash it at another bank. I wasn't warned that this would happen and only found out my account was close after receiving an email stating it was closed ( at that point it was too late. They refuse to allow me to open another account or fix the problem. Impossible to get a real person on the phone. Honestly, thank God I wont be banking with them again. Hopefully Uber will switch to a real bank with better customer service.

I want everyone to know that the only way you'll get paid up to 2 days early it's if your job/HE give them the notification that you're getting paid. Otherwise, if they don't get the notification, you're more than likely not going to get paid until Friday. Secondly I want everyone to know that if you stash your money in the vault ( so-called trying to save your money as they say) you may or may not be able to get your money out when you need it! Which is what happened to me on tonight trying to transfer money before I got ready to check out in the store and the system was down. I tried over 15 minutes before giving them a call because I kind of figured they weren't going to do anything or be of any help. Which is exactly what I got when I called NOTHING! So gobank before you even ask me again where I recommend anybody to get this card heck no! Banks and prepaid debit cards all a hassle! From now on I'm going to start carrying a little cash at a time, and keep my money in a safe spot somewhere, other than someone's financial institution.

When I called to file a dispute on my card he told me they would have to close my card. I didn’t want it closed so I asked him to forget the dispute and he said ok. After hanging up two days later he filed the dispute anyway and closed my card right after my check hit Saturday against my wishes and my knowledge (other banks just block the merchant but GoBank completely closed your card) 😡. When I discovered my card closed they said they done it for my protection even though I had asked them not to so it basically didn’t matter to them what I wanted to do with my account and my money. Had they told me they was gonna do this anyway I could of got money out of the bank before they did this. So they tell me we will send a new one you will get in five to seven days. They wait til Thursday..... five whole days after closing my card.... to even put a new one in the mail. That’s ridiculous. I can’t pay my bills I have two full checks in the bank and by time the card finally arrives (ya it’s still not here yet and they said it probably won’t be until the 23rd even though they closed it on the 11th) I will have three full checks in there. Guess what bill collectors don’t care if I can’t access my acct they still want their money. So GoBank tells me their sorry for the inconvenience but will not be punishing the worker who decided to close my card because it was for my protection. They even told me that I could pay some bills online using my checking acct number and routing number but can I go to Walmart and buy groceries and tell them to just key in my routing number and checking acct number......NO I can not. I will close my account after I get my card and my money out and speak I’ll of GoBank to anyone they will listen and all over social media. GOBANK SUCKS!!!!!!

On Tuesday, August 7th I was advised of a piece of mail received at a former residence addressed to my maiden name for a new bank account opened. I have been a victim of identity theft since 2015 and have filed multiple police reports in regard to it. I do not know who stole my identity. GoBank approved the opening of a GoBank Debit Card account through their online platform and mailed said card to my former residence--all without my consent or knowing. I searched through an old email inbox I no longer utilize and discovered emails dated 7/29/18 and 7/30/18 acknowledging a new account opened as well as a credit card application pending. The information obtained was my maiden name, former address, and Social Security Number. The date of birth on file was incorrect. I attempted contacting GoBank through their provided phone number found online, but it was fully automated, and did not have an option to select for fraud victims. It would not allow to proceed to report fraud or speak to a human without providing the 16-digit card number of the fraudulent card that was mailed out -- I did not have the card in my possession, as it was mailed to a former address. I notified Green Dot Support via their Facebook page of my dilemma on 8/7/18, and they promised to call me between 6pm and 9pm CST on 8/8/18. I did not receive a call. I requested they call me again on 8/9/18 and they responded they would call. They did not call. I drove 2 hours to my former residence to obtain the card, found an entirely different phone number on the card, called it, provided the card number along with the last four digits of my Social Security Number, and only then was provided the option to speak to an assistant. The assistant was able to flag the account as fraudulent and closed it, but could not close the credit card. I had to call a separate number to a different branch of the bank (Green Dot Bank) to cancel that application. There is no easy or quick method for victims of fraud to contact this bank and close fake accounts. Additionally, I have freezes on ChexSystems, all three credit bureaus, and more--a quick search of these following a new account request would have immediately shown this as a fraud attempt. The identity thief was able to open this account without even providing a Driver's License. Terrible business model and practice. Did not perform any due diligence before approving the opening of the account. Luckily I caught it before the fraudster changed the address on the account in order to transact business for their own greedy plans. This bank was of little help.

Had the card for about two years no real problems. However, had a fraudulent charge or my account no fault of mine because my card was in my wallet. The merchant Domino's Pizza in Houston, TX failed to ask for identification, a copy of the card or get authorization. I have an alert on the Go Bank account I am to be alerted if a charge over $1.00 appears on my account. No alert was sent. Both Domino Pizza and Go Bank were negligent. However, Go Bank has ceased my bank account during their investigation. I have no access to my own money. I have no money to pay my bill, grocery or gas. Today I had to consult an attorney to get my almost $1000 back. They are unscrupulous and I would be leery of doing business with them.

GoBank has my account limited for failing my identity questions. I knew where I lived previously and which hospital was closest to my address. However, I didn't know any of the people whom the question inquired about in the last of the three questions. So, I answered "none of the above". Just like that my account is now a one use limited card. I know who I know...not your search engine questionnaire! My name is the most common first and last name, literally hundreds of us in the US. My social security number is the only factor that separates me from the other John's with the same last name. First month after turning 18 and already having issues with my identity. I told the representative I would be willing to send verification to verify my identity. She told me it can only be verified by the three questions asked. Which one question having nothing to do with my identity at all. Taking my money off this card and getting a Bluebird or Walmart card right now.

Well, if I’m trying to report FRAUD, I surely don’t want go give my SSN. The person that answered was located in the Philippines! So they expect me to give my SSN to someone I don’t know in a foreign country. Also, Carlo (the one I spoke with) said he was the ultimate authority to resolve my matter. When I first purchased this card I fell in love with it because of the free ATM withdrawals and the free cash upload but months later I’m ready to just find a new card altogether. I disputed a transaction a few months ago and my card was canceled I had to wait a week for them to send a new card & to be able to access my funds. On top of that I had my tax refund set up to be deposited on my Go card that was the worst decision ever they rejected my refund says the information didn’t match and sent it back that was 6mnths ago and I still haven’t received it because of this I been going back & forth between them & the IRS but the funny thing is a month ago my state refund posted but not my federal. When I called to talk to a representative they couldn’t explain to me how this was possible all they kept saying was the info wasn’t right but I prepared my own taxes they act like they don’t comprehend what’s going on and then they will go back and forth with you but still don’t solve your problems I’m fed up with Go Bank at this point I just want my money 💰

My debit card was cancelled without warning and I was left without access to my direct deposit. I was traveling and this was a major inconvenience. It took 2 days before I could actually get someone live on the phone. The CSR explained to me that my debit card was cancelled due to the fact that I had initiated a dispute regarding an authorized charge. I asked if it was their policy to just cancel a debit card without notifying the cardholder and he stated yes it was their policy. This happened on June 28th and a new card will not be mailed out until July 2nd, and I cannot access my money on the card until it arrives and I activate it. I would not recommend this card nor will I ever use it again once I am able to withdraw my funds from this account. I took a chance with this card after the massive Bluebird card lock out that happened several months ago where the majority of the cardholders were locked out of their accounts without access to the funds. I will never use another Green Dot product. Walmart needs to do better and supply its consumers with more reliable products.

If I could give a score less than zero, I would. I have have terrible experiences with Go Bank (and its security of my funds), fraud and customer service knowledge. I made a dispute about a transaction 40 days ago, and to date was never refunded, given a credit or accomodated in any way. When I began to call in response to the lack of concern regqrding the fraud, the automated system recognized I had called several times, but the representatives was so unaware and had no clue on how to address the situation. I WOULD NOT recommend anyone use this card; and especially if you are planning to use it for transactions involving substantial amounts. Go Bank is HORRIBLE! I only used thr card because I drove for Uber, and this is the card they sent out. I didnt trust Uber with my bank account information after they were hacked, so I used the Go Bank card. DONT DO IT! Do not use the Go Bank card. They will allow fradulent activity on your account and give many excuses as to why a refund is taking a month and a half. I am going to be joining the class action suit against them as well. HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!

GoBank by Uber is a joke. Uber up your game and cancel this partnership (unless you own the bank). On May 21, 2018 my visa debit card was compromised to the tune of over $2588. and used at a Pinnacle Bank for ATM withdraw all in the same day. No alert from the bank for suspicious activity. I found out when I went to purchase gas at the Shell Station near the airport in Nashville. This was 3 transactions of $503.50, 1 transaction at $243.50 and 4 transactions at $203.50. plus 8 transactions fees of $2.50. I have sent in the proper documentation including a police report and took the same information to a local Pinnacle Bank in Brentwood; I was promised this would be resolved by June 5th., 2018. Every time I call I get someone offshore telling me they are still investigating. By the way I still have my card...so, I am assuming it was skimmed by one of those hitch skimmers. I have also called Uber Customer Service and get the same answers and what I assume is some more offshore customer service people who read from a script and tell you they are talking to a Team Specialist via email...no resolution.. I am so disappointed and broke. Uber up your game!

I lost my debit card and reported it. Because I was not able to access my funds I transferred money to my significant other on 05/18/18. He received a notification from GoBank saying I sent the money. He never received the funds and Gobank insist the transfer was complete but they cannot offer a transaction number so paypal can trace it. I filed a dispute on 05/20/18. I call today (06/04/18) and they tell me the dispute was denied because they confirmed the money was received. When I informed them I have the transaction history from paypal and there is no way they could have confirmed that they tell me I have to file another dispute which takes an additional 10 business days. So we are talking about a MONTH for my funds to be located, and that's if the dispute goes in my favor. FURTHERMORE, they sent me some email full of crap about suspicious activity and I needed to verify my account, catch is you need your debit card which I didn't have and had to wait 7 business days for. I've already canceled my direct deposit with them but I want my $430 so I can close this account. I've already filed a complaint with BBB and will be filing with FDIC. The icing on the cake is when I asked to speak to corporate they tell me they don't have a number but can transfer me, okay fine. Lady then comes back to the phone and says they have higher than usual call volume and she signed me up for a call back -_- THEE WORSE LOOK ELSEWHERE.

This company does not care about families and will be exposed for their wrong doing. They blocked my card sent in verifications and still have to wait 2 business days to hear the result. I have a disabled child including other children, bills due, no where to access account. They dont care. Can't even speak to anyone until its resolved. I will bill them if i get late fees for unpaid bills and fees. They mess with peoples lives and do not care. What a horrible company the CEO STEVE STREIT should be ashamed. Their supposed to better but this is what having an online acct will do. Lessoned learned. The worst part they didn't even give me a courtesy the card was blocked. Had to deal with the embarrassment of card declined when paying a bill.

I switched to this card after using account now for the past two years. I can see that was a mistake. On the go bank website it claims that you can get your monthly benefits up to 4 days early. And as of yet, I get it exactly on the day I would get it if I had say a normal bank account versus four days early or even two days early. For example, I get my SSI on the 3rd of the month. Since Sunday is the 3rd, I would get it on the first. Therefore, I should have received my deposit today which is two days early. With account now, I received my money two days early for years and by 6 am. Therefore, I bet my life that go bank has received word that I have a deposit coming on the first of the month and I should have it by now. Long story short, if I do not get it today, I am switching back to account now.

Until now I would have rated gobank as a 3 star but i would give it a zero now if I could. First, although my account was hacked and $600 was stolen from it over 3 weeks ago, the stolen finds have still not been returned to my account!!!! This, despite the fact that my letter of dispute and ALL supporting documentarion (police reports, video of the thief picking up purchase made w/my card, names of store managers/employess as witnesses to both the theft and the identity of the thief & her name, address, the whole she-bang!!!), were provided to gobank ASAP. With 3 different LE officers to contact, they contacted NO ONE and DENIED MY CLAIM with ths claim that the purchase “had been authorized.” If they weren’t stealing my money, their incompetance and sheer stupidity would be laughable. But instead, I am jist fumong and furious. They are either stealing my momey themselves, or they are just trying to make this process unnecessarily difficult so that I will jist give up amd give up on my funds being returned to my account. (First I was told my funds would be returned, than they were “confused”, then i was told my funds wld be returmed w/in 24 hours (for 5-6 days in a row!), then I received a letter that I was denied & jad to start from scratch. Now they’re telling me I’ll have to wait another two weeks (5/29th) b4 they’ll ha e another decision. I reported thos theft on April 25th!!!!’ THIEVES!!!!!

I started working with Uber and they recommended me this bank called GOBANK biem of course this the name GOBANK bank goes behind to keep your earnings and not solve a problem I had a gas purchase for the car of $ 20.00 and when I look the tracsaciones in my mobile I realize ke they are charging me $ 40.00 dollars I communicate with the customer service and they tell me that they can not eat anything, they gave me to understand that they wanted to steal my money and it is not all before that situation I found myself that is a purchase of $ 37.00 I CALL AND I NOTIFY I get the card for safety reasons we are talking about $ 77.00 I feel that I have stolen and the other deficiency understanding me an act of discrimination have no person to help people ispanas speak only the language english my personal opinion is that this bank is a intitucion not biem.preparada and stay with the money of the people as if they were owners of the same friends of Uber not reco looking at this bank.

I had mistakenly transferred funds to a closed account at a different bank. The funds were returned to GoBank within 2 days of the transfer. This money was NEVER put back into my account. I have spent 5+ weeks now trying to get this money back that they claim they can not locate and was never sent back. Even after a letter from the other bank stating the money was sent back and a trace # for tracking it. Gobank has closed my dispute multiple times without reason or conclusion. Customer service is horrendous they will say whatever just to get you off the phone and claim there are no supervisors or anyone higher up to help. The only reason I use this is so I can get paid by Uber. I would NOT recommend this bank to anyone for any reason. They do not keep your money safe or even care if you get your money back from a dispute. If i could put 0 stars I would have.

My husband and I were recently victims of identity theft. In all of the fallout, we discovered that the criminals opened accounts with go bank under our identities. It was horrific and infuriating trying to deal with their so-called customer service representatives to get the accounts closed. They apparently have lax security for opening accounts and then have no compassion for the people who have been harmed. I can (sort of) understand how fraudulent accounts can be set up, but to then make it difficult to actually close the accounts and fix the problem is unacceptable. Plus, when the CSRs where of NO HELP and I requested to speak to their supervisors, I was told there were no supervisors. I doubt this is true since I have worked in customer service and call centers. However, if it is true, that means these unhelpful people who do nothing but repeat the script they've been given are in charge. No wonder the criminals turned to this company and not a real bank.

I opened a Go Bank account a few weeks back was given temp. debit card # and bank account info. Started depositing money with waiting issues and account being verified as closed to direct deposit funds were finally released into account...waited for new card activated it and all seemed well. Then 1 week after doing banking they sent a email to prove identity after several accepted attempts I was sent a email and my login was alerts my account had been closed do to unable to prove my identity with a passport picture and DL picture front and back clear as day. I have a lump sum of $7828.12 have received emails but have had NO LUCK speaking to a customer service agent nor have they answered any of my questions how and when will my money get returned to me. I am set up for my tax refund to be direct deposited and I am just sick to my stomach as I have a large mortgage payment coming up that I was saving for. Does anyone have a direct # to green dot or go bank that will verify your info not via phone service that keeps saying my account does not exist. I will contact FDIC tomorrow and will file against the BBB immediately but I have fear that this is all bad news and will put my personal life in jeopardy. I now have 3 cases # and no resolve.

This is the worst flippin bank I’ve ever dealt with. Their customer service is absolutely horrific. So if you ever need help, don’t bother. They don’t get back to you, they don’t help you, and their agent(s) doesn’t know anything. I get the same lady every time and she can hardly speak English and never understands what you’re saying. I went over the same thing 3 times and she still has no clue what I’m talking about. I ask to speak to somebody else she says there is nobody else. Come the flip on. So I email, and they say they’ll get back to you in 2 business days, nope probably not at all. I’ve been a customer for 4 years and they change things and now I can’t use mobile deposit or anything because of certain terms that I need to agree to which I’ve tried and the app or website doesn’t allow me. And still no help no matter how many times I’ve contacted them! So I have to upload my ID again even though I did that 4 years ago when I joined! My ID is holding me back from mobile uploading a check and not one idiot at this place can figure it out. Take your money elsewhere and save yourself the hassle.

Scam, scam, and scam. I have been using Go bank for over a year. Then all of sudden my account was blocked for no good reason. Called and was asked for ID. No problem. emailed, 2 weeks later, nothing changed. Called in again, ask for ID again, saying the first case was closed for no reason. OK, send in ID again, was told wait 24-48 hours, called in after that, another 24-48 hours, and since then it has been like that again and again and again. Each and every time, they promised the case was escalated through the highest level and promised to call me back. Neither never happened. I cannot access my money inside the account, but they still charge me membership fee. This has been going on for a month, I have talked to the customer service, the loss protection department, the corporate office. Nothing changed. I was not even able to close my account due to the block. Filed CFPB and BBB complaints yesterday, and let's see. Absolutely scam, never, ever deal with this company again. Please remember, just don't use their productr.

I was recently informed that my account has a ten daily transfers limit between my main checking and vault balance accounts win Uber GoBank. The representative over the phone offered no help nor sympathy as they repeatedly told me that I couldn’t access my OWN MONEY until 12pm the next day which was 8 hours away at that time. Thank God I wasn’t stranded somewhere and needed gas money because GoBank would not have had my back in those dire situations. I looked over the terms and conditions for new account and there is no mentioning of a daily transfer limit between accounts and they clearly advertised their vault account to be a convenient way to stash away money and “transfer it back over to your main checking account whenever you need it”. That false advertisement is nothing but bull crap and now I’m somehow “blocked”/flagged from getting a hold of an actual representative when I call the Uber GoBank customer service support line. Awesome! 1. Have to wait to use my own money that should already be available if it wasn’t stuck in their vault savings feature that they should be able to bypass to grant customers access to their funds. 2. How do you expect people to keep banking with your company when the apparent core values that your company foster are lies, deceit, and avoidance of accountability for your piss poor, below-average customer service and care. If it wasn’t for Uber Instant Pay, I would never bank with them in a million years. SMH Please avoid if you can!!

Do NOT use this “bank”!! I bought an activation kit in OCTOBER to open an acct. I have yet to have a working personalized card. They have tried to send me a card so many times now. First getting my address wrong then who knows what else?? 3 or 4 attempts later I still don’t have a working debit card!! I wasn’t too worried at first because I had a working temp card. I find out 2 days before Christmas they reported my temp card lost or stolen. How did I find out? In the check out line at a store trying to buys gifts for my kids. Now I have NOT ONE way to access my money!! They sent a perm card that doesn’t work!! Their system doesn’t find it. 2 times now they say it’ll work “the next business day”. Nope. This sorry excuse for a “bank” ruined my kids Christmas because I couldn’t buy them gifts with MY MONEY!! My money my employer direct deposits into the acct. Get another acct elsewhere you say? Sure but they still have MY MONEY!! Money I don’t have a way to get. They can’t transfer it! Can’t overnight a working card nothing. DO NOT do BUSINESS here!! They steal your money!!

I recently received my official card in the mail. I called the number on the card to activate it. I added funds on my card at Wal-Mart. I tried to use the app to get into my account. There was an error with my password I guess. I chose the forgot password option. It kept saying that my info was wrong when asking me for my ssn and card number. It locked my funds and I could not use my acc for 24 hrs. It has now been 2 days my acc is still locked. I tried calling to speak to customer service about my issues. But there isn't a option to speak to a live person. Turns out there is no customer service nor a option on the automatic system that will assist me with this issue.

We have been using GoBank for several months now and it's been ok until recently. We never received our personalised card in the mail. We've been using the temporary card this whole time. My husband gets direct deposit on the card. They had the wrong apartment number so we changed it on the app so they would send out a new card. No one told us they would then cancel the card we had on us in order to issue the new one. I was unable to pick up my kids at Christmas from a different town, we are sitting here with no groceries, no gas, can't pay rent which is due today, and Christmas and New Years has now been ruined. I feel horrible that I ever recommended my husband to get this card in the first place. We have until the 4th to pay rent or they start the eviction notice and a bit pay check is now floating around where I can't access it. Worst experience ever. Oh ya.. They never even gave me a call back and said they don't have supervisors to talk to and we can just wait until around the 11th of January for a new card. We will be homeless by then. Thanks GoBank.

Horrible account, my identity was stolen and money was constantly taken out of my account even after I reported it. They have no security to protect your account there customer service is horrible. They have nothing but a bunch of non English speaking people who you cant even understand when they say Hello. And after all the paperwork and disputes of my account being stolen I still have to wait one to two months to get my money back. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!! I wouldn't recommend this to anyone in the world! GO BANK needs to GO OUT OF BUSINESS!! I would give them ZERO stars if it was allowed.

This company is so unprofessional it's baffling! They just closed my account without my permission. I made a dispute on a charge and instead of returning my money into my account, they closed the entire account. I drive with Uber and this account is the way I get paid instantly. Now I won't be able to enjoy this instant pay feature. If I get another account, there will be no Uber perks. It will be just a normal account. I'm so upset! They tried to discourage me from speaking to someone by putting me on hold numerous times. When I finally got a hold of someone they told me there was absolutely nothing they could do for me. They had no sympathy. They had no professionalism. The supervisor refused to give me his full name. It felt like no one cared and it was THEIR FAULT!!! Do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere!!! Oh and I still had money in my account when they closed it. They said they'll send me a check but I needed that money now and now I have to wait ten days. It's just ridiculous!

Was able to reload temporary card. Waited the 2 weeks for my permanent card but never received. On the app when it asks to Activate card I said I never received it said another 2 weeks. Immideatly that deactivated my temporary card after I just reloaded it with a couple hundred. When I called the customer service they said I wouldn't be able to get cash or use my card, just to wait for my permanent one to come and activate it. They said they could not reactivate my temporary. I called 3 times speaking with 4 different people, one a supervisor. All give the same answers. I even went to the Wal-Mart money center, they could see I had money but were unable to move. I do not recommend this company if you want access to your money.

Listen to my words carefully, DO NOT USE GO BANK. I had a merchant charge my account on accident and the merchant admitted it was a mistake. I called go bank and they basically said nothing they can do, they wouldn't stop the charge from going through. On top of that since I called customer service multiple times about the issue, the 3rd time I called the automated system wouldn't put me through to a rep. Bottom line is if this would have been a large amount of money I would have just been out that money for 14 days which is how long it takes to resolve a disputed charge, so imagine living without your entire pay check for that long.

# 05758607 After the hurricane in Texas I filed Identity theft to check my back up card ...Green Dot for my extra funds. Any company that I have contacted since the concern has did what they can do to expedite the Texas customers. I explained to the these funds depended on me being homeless no one expressed any sympathy or went out of the way to assist me due to the circumstance. I was told I needed to send another form in because it was denied because of information that I filled out wrong. After submitting again they told me to wait another 2 weeks in which I was never called back since the initial time that I filed dispute. I was never questioned by a supervisor or representative by return of call. I had to call them they canceled my card so I was not able to talk to the customer service line without a card number it took me a couple of days to find another number for assistance to again receive customer service. It would be different if I disputed large amounts all the time. That would be a red flag for them to deny it, not only do I have to pay for new card they are telling me I'm denied in getting my funds reversed. Know one was given my pin number that information was filled out incorrectly. I sent it the corrected form with more supportive information and they stated that I will still need to wait 2 weeks. The fault is at customer service assistance because if I was guided correctly or ever called back by someone to discuss I would have fixed the issue along time ago. I don't accept having to wait another 2 weeks when I am homeless and they know the conditions with Texas inclement weather. They give you company Terms and conditions as if I dont work in customer service. I go out my way to resolve issues for mistakes caused by the customer service agents I work with. Not matter the compromise I find away to resolve the customer issue with one call resolution not 2 weeks. I'm able to verify payments and refund within 24 hours, if a customer has a problem with a charge. Even if It takes me an hour to complete and I have to call the customer back I as a agent take responsibility at the end of the day no matter how good a product can be if there is poor customer service it is not worth it

My husband and I are both gobank account holders. We do it this way because he is out of town alot for work and he can send me money anytime and i get it instantly. Well now, the last few weeks, but account has been locked from sending or receiving money. I sent gobank a message and we went back and forth. First lie they told me was that sending was down for maintenance...Well i message them and let them know that they were being dishonest because my husband and myself got onto his account to check and he still had the receive and send option. I then get a message back asking for all of my details, account information and personal information. I send them all of this. They come back and ask me again to send the same information so i let them know i have already done so. Then they proceed to tell me that send and receiving of funds is something they dont do anymore...thats funny, check my husbands account again and there it is, he can still send and receive! So then he goes to send me money through facebook messenger and now im going rounds with facebook because now my card has been flagged for fraud. Worst company i have ever dealt with. The dishonesty is what has done me in.

A fraudulent purchase in the amount of $429.84 was made on my account on July 24, I filed a police report submitted a transaction dispute was told I would receive my money in 10 days... Well that didn't happen, Aug 7 I tried to check the status of my dispute and could not get in touch with customer service because GOBank closed my account. I had to send an email and received a call on Aug 10 from Michael who told me they denied my dispute and that I needed to submit another one along with the hard copy police report and that I may get my money in 10 days. August 17 I called Green Dot corporate dispute line to check the status and was told they had no update as of yet but if they cannot arrive at a decision by Aug 24 they will push the date to Sept 24 to make a decision. I asked if there was anything else they needed from me they said no what I submitted was enough and since my account is closed they will not be issuing any provisional credits to me. I have contacted an attorney and am waiting for a response. Moral of the story: If you are temporarily unable to get a traditional bank account DO NOT use any card issued by Green Dot Corporation!!! Use NetSpend instead, this week I am going to open an account with Bank of America they have an excellent fraud division.

Consumers beware if your looking for a competent online banking company this is not it. The customer service representatives are lousy at listening can't follow along to resolve issues. Example, I am an Uber driver and when I got my Go Bank Uber debit card in the mail and was activating it I guess I didn't fully go through the email verification link and forgot to write down what password I used. You would think it would be a simple fix as sending another email verification links is done all the time. Nope not with Go Bank, they insisted on saying that there is a link on Uber's website under the banking tab. No there isn't so after a month of calling, so many times on hold, having to repeat myself multiple times, getting redundent questions I got online access today because I put the Uber representative on the phone. Save yourself the grief and time in avoiding opening an account with these guys they are plain dumb.

I had GoBank for about a year and I can say that I didn't have many issues. I had a few friends with other banks who lost their debit cards and were able to access their money immediately at local branches. My biggest concern was that if I lost my card i'd have to wait a long time before I received my replacement to access my money. The biggest downfall was the time it took for funds to be available after making deposits. Also, the customer service is foreign and doesn't run like a financial institution. I opened an SafeBalance acct with Bank Of America and feel much more at ease with this acct. It has a $4.95/mo charge but it never overdrafts/or has insufficient fees. When I've had issues i just go to a branch in person. I'm glad I left GoBank.

I don't give much advice on products but some just need light shined on negative, dark business practices. GoBank debit card connected to UberDriver App continues to fail good hard working people. I've been locked out of my account "vault" separate savings option that was the reason for signing up. Don't do it!! Seems like they're always "updating" which means no access. Excessive is word that comes to mind. The App is always having log in issues and few times of log in no good 24 hour lock out unless reset with device other then cell. Well, PC and laptop, tablet, most times nothing resets account!! Don't even think your money is your money. GoBank finds it "not my problem" Run!!!!
