Do not and I mean do not bank with this company. Their customer service is worse than horrible. I attempted to withdraw money from the one of the ATMs they suggest using and the Atm debited my account and did not provide the money. I called for file a dispute and it’s been over one month still no resolution. I provided the receipt from the atm saying the atm could not provide the money at the time and still no resolution. A provisional credit you ask, no, I have not even received one of those. I was instructed that IF the dispute took longer than 10 business days and I mail a letter to their P.O. Box that I could receive a provisional credit. I mailed the letter and during holiday season in a pandemic, they informed me they did not receive my letter within 10 business days. I was not made aware the letter had to be received within 10 business days. During holiday season of a pandemic, they received the letter on the 11 business day. I later found out that the letter could have been emailed which I would have done because who wouldn’t have. I called and called only to be received with long holds and empty promises. Christmas Eve I goto withdraw 300 and almost a month later (1-20-21) during a pandemic, I still don’t have my money. They have no locations or no banks I can goto so instead I can only hope and pray. Do not bank with them please!!

Miss Lo ,

AVOID THIS ILLEGITIMATE BANK!! They are a SCAM! Someone stole my card and emptied my account. Gobank gave me the run around as far as getting my money back only To tell me a month later (today) that THEY DENIED MY DISPUTE CLAIM. I was told I would Have to find the merchant and have them give me a refund. I was on the phone with GOBANk when the second transaction came put of my account. They said my money was still In my account but that was a lie! I told them I needed my Money to feed my kids (this was December 11, 2020) yet they did not care or file a dispute. I had to wait 11 days before they filed and then another 7-10 days for a refund. I was just told via email this morning that they denied my claim. I was also told they CANNOT STOP PAYMENTS SO THE LARGE SUM I HAD COMING INTO MY ACCOUNT WAS IS AT RISK! They are a total scam and I am reporting them everywhere I can!!! Avoid the headache and do not put yourself in the position to be out of money like me. I am so pissed off!!

I have no accounts with GOBank but received a card I never requested. Fearing some of my personal information may be compromised called the 888 number on the card. Was hung up on twice but with persistence, eventually got transferred to their "fraud division" where "Jen" a somewhat English speaking representative tried to assist. After 5 attempts she was able to correctly get the card number. Although I could hear her (her kids and dog) easily she would frequently say "so sorry, you breaking up, too much static". I requested a supervisor but.... "high call volume, no supervisor available", Through continued broken English I was advised to cut the card and call back later to try for a supervisor. This has already taken 30 minutes to get this far ! I have zero confidence in this organization and fear I may be caught in a scam. I will never do business with Go Bank and would advise others no too also.

This is the worst move I've ever made. The 15th I had to report my card stolen, received an email saying that it would arrive on the 25th. That day I checked with the post office and then called, the woman informed me that I would be receiving it on the 28th. That day I called and the woman tells me it would be 2 more business day. I call again today and the automated system tells me that my card arrived on the 23rd. If my card arrived on the 23rd, why did 3 different employees tell me otherwise. Why are they giving me estimated dates of arrival, but can't provide me with a tracking number? I now have to be issued another card and am told it's 7 business days. My unemployment money is going to that card, I'm without a job and yet the little money I have is being held hostage. I then am told I can have the card expedited, but will have to pay $15. Are you serious? And the woman wouldn't even let me speak to a manager. I've never been so upset and at a complete loss, because there's nothing that they can or will do. It'd be really nice to know what I'm supposed to do with another week of having no money... thank you gobank, you've treated me so well

They don’t deserve even 1 Star! I’ve had this card for over 3 years and the things they’ve done have been unconscionable. First they said this ATM in my neighborhood was free. The first time I used it it was free. The second time it was not. So no more ATM. Now this -I’ve used the card for gas at this one has station hundreds of times. It’s a debit card so I punch in my passcode and I can only use what’s on my card. I transferred money from a gig job onto the card tonight. Exactly $96.01. Some for gas and some for groceries. I get $8 in gas and go grocery shopping. It declines my $65 purchase! I call them and I have a Zero balance. I talk to an agent and she tells me there is a $75 preauthorization fee and it will be back on my card on September 17! What?!!! She insists it’s a vendor charge. The vendor tells me it’s GoBank! And I know it is. They are holding onto my money and they know when they’ll release it. Supervisor was zero help! And now I have no food! GoBank sucks! I guess I’ll have to find a food bank tomorrow. I’m in tears. Mad, sad, hungry! No. I’m furious!

If I could give them zero I would. There thieves! They take the little credits going back into your account and make them disappear. I've had go bank for almost 5 years and had a deposit going in every 2 weeks. I'm not much of a money saver do I really never looked at my transactions or monthly statements, but the coronavirus got me laid of and the checks dwindled. At that time I became frugal and watched every dollar. What I saw shocked me. I rented a room at Springhill suites paid online with Priceline, but at hotel they wanted 20 incidentals deposit. Ok I have them my go bank card and when I checked out they said 20 will be credited within 2-3 business days. Ok right. That was on 5 of July. July 28 I looked at my transactions and it said credit for 20 from sSpringhill. Later that afternoon it was gone. I called and they said it was a pending credit I should get it August ,6. When August ,6 came no credit. They tell me oh you got that credit on July 16. I said no I didn't They said yes check your statement. I hung up and checked and what no saw shocked me.i became speechless. I saw a statement that had been completely redone . The 20 credit was gone. Nothing never existed July 4 I never stayed there according to go bank. The 25 credit from Radisson gone. Target credit gone Walmart credit gone. Basically what they did was keep my small credits and redo my statement like it never existed. Wow to have that much power is scary .

This company is awful. I was an Uber driver and decided to get their card. I then decided I would use that card for a play money and had my full time jibe deposit 100 per pay period. The initial card I was given did not have a chip and scammers were able to steal the card info. They then used the card at an atm. There was a transaction for checking the balance, transaction for withdrawing the money, and a fee for using an out of network bank. I saw the same day it was done and called immediately. As everyone else has mentioned, their hold times are terrible but I stuck it out. I was told that I had to wait for the charges to process. Called back a couple days later once they processed and filed the dispute. Received a letter stating it was denied. Called again to find out why. I was told they needed additional information. I filed a police report as they suggested and MAILED everything to them. Received an email today that the dispute was rejected. I’m pissed. I will be waiting on hold with them again today but expect they will do nothing. I’m cancelling my direct deposit today, filing a complaint with the BBB and never using them again. If nothing else happens, I’m just hopeful this review will persuade someone else NOT TO USE THIS CARD!!!

I like that direct deposit of my earnings from Uber. I don't like that transfering money out of the account takes several days. I don't like that Zelle isn't supported. I HATE THAT I CAN'T EXPORT MY TRANSACTIONS TO QUICKBOOKS. I HATE THAT IT TOOK EXTENSIVE RESEARCH JUST TO FIND A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL AND WHEN I CALLED THE GUY I SPOKE WITH DID NOT KNOW WHAT DOWNLOAD MEANT! I HATE THAT WHEN I OPEN A CHAT ON THE GOBANK WEBSITE I AM TAKEN TO A LINK FOR PAID TECHNICAL SUPPORT. THIS IS BS.

This is not a bank, it is a scam. An institution designed to rob customers money. I am surprised how bank regulators allowed this bank to operate. They sent me a Debit Card which I didn't request on a bank account which I didn't open, and are advising me to activate it. The letter that came with the Debit Card had a bank account number and a routing number. There is no phone number I can call to talk to a live human being at the bank. Finally when I was able to talk to someone from the Fraud dept of GO Bank with the help of my Identity Theft company, the person from the bank was not willing to give me information regarding my "own" account claiming that the date of birth I provided didn't match the information the Bank has, even though she confirmed that the SS# and other details I provided were correct. When I asked her a question, how the bank opened an account in my name with a wrong date of birth , she didn't have an answer. I am going to report this bank to the regulatory agencies. Stay far away from this bank. They do't do the due diligence before opening an account and do't take any responsibility when fraud is committed. I am beginning to wonder if the Bank is complicit in the Fraud.

I recently purchased a go bank card at Rite Aid in order to have automotive part repaired in Florida. I was Informed that part couldn't be repaired and they would refund my money. That was 3 weeks ago. Go bank is telling me about some investigation about some dispute that doesn't exist. I just want my refund. I was informed today 3 weeks later that I need to write a detailed letter describing the so called dispute and wait 2 more weeks for a decision on the dispute that doesn't exist. I'm a senior citizen who just wants to repair my vehicle. Now I need to write a letter determine which post offices are currently operating and Mail a letter to get MY OWN money back. In over 70 years of living this is one of the most slimy scams I've ever encountered.

This is by far the WORST bank I have ever signed on to. PLEASE BE AWARE!!!! When you call the number on the back of the card it routes you to philippines which can only verify your infos. That's it! I've had my card for two weeks and now account has been locked. I sent over my paystubs, copy of my id, verified my social security # but still can't get into my account because at the time I registered my card online I might have hit a wrong digit. THATS IT! COULD HAVE BEEN A HUMAN MISTAKE but with all the other verification done they still won't let me into my account which has now been locked along with my two checks. Now I'm beginning to think they just want my money. My experience calling for support help has been draining me!! This is the worst experience I've ever had!! imagine having to pay a car payment or rent!! I was late on both because of this experience. I WILL SPREAD THE WORD THAT GOBANK IS HORRIBLE AS MUCH AS I CAN. PLEASE INFORM EVERYONE YOU KNOW. SAVE THEM THE TROUBLE

Uber drivers need to be aware that starting 7/20/2020 GoBank will require a deposit of 1,000 dollars a month to be able to qualify for the backup balance so you can overdraft your card to 100 dollars. Also GoBank is not even taking into account that during Covid-19 Uber drivers in rural areas can't make the 80 trips during a 30 day period to use the backup balance. Drivers are better off just sticking to their banks debit cards or direct deposit and closing their GoBank cards. In this time of crisis you would think that the company you work for would allow drivers to skip the 80 trip requirement until the crisis and all of the bans in each state has been lifted. This is just another step in corporate greed on both GoBank's part as well as Uber's. It's just a sad state of affairs that these 2 companies can't work together to allow drivers to utilize the Go card to it's fullest potential.

This is by far the worst card that I have ever used. A representative from GoBank itself called my phone and stated that they received a red flag in their system showing where someone in Miami was trying to use my card information and did I authorize it. I immediately said No! He then stated that they needed to verify my information so they could put a block on my card so it wouldn't be any future fraudulent activity. He then said once they put a block on my card I would be unable to use it or have access to the remaining funds on my card. I told him that I needed that money and did not need my card blocked. He then said he would send me a one time email with a code where I could access my card to get the funds off I needed. I said, ok. He said he was going to have a new replacement card sent to me the next day by Fedx. Im thinking everything cool. He then said he was going to send me a text message for me to verify the code. I verified the code and then he text me another to verify. While we doing this my phone number was changed on my account and then I was locked out and couldn't even access any information. After looking through my emails for the email he was suppose to send I seen where 5 transactions had been made where money was sent to someone by the name of Leroy S. I had no idea who that was but all I know they had stolen $2300.00 of my money total. I called Gobank back on the same number they called from and told them what happened to dispute it which was on the 3rd of May, it is now the 13th of May and I haven't received one cent of my money back and nothing about what is happening or what is going to take place. All they keep telling me is that it is a process and it could be about 4 weeks before the dispute is settled and a decision is made. It is sad that it can only take minutes for someone to take your money and months to find out if you're going to get it back. Im hurt and just upset because Im a single parent and need my money to take care of my kids. My thing is, if you have sent in all the documents proving who you are and they have seen the transaction, then why in the world would I have to wait so long to get something back that was taken from me!!! WORST CARD EVER !! Asked to speak to a supervisor and no one was available to take my call or did they call back!!

I would like to give GoBank 0 stars because of terrible customer service, getting the runaround, and completely disappearing funds. I used billpay for two bills and transferred them to a recipient, and it told me it would take approximately 7 full days to transfer. It has been well over two weeks with no funds being transferred to the recipient. The money has completely vanished and when I try to file a dispute on the website it says I need to call a number, but when I call the number it says I have the wrong number and need to call the number on the back of the card. When I call the number on the back of the card it does not give me an option to talk to a representative or give me an option for "other" because none of the prompts apply to me! Completely rediculous.

Even with proof I believe they do not actually do any investigations on disputed charges. Maybe it costs too much money to look into it, plus to refund you. This is the only bank that has denied me on the charges I disputed. The representative suck, English isn't their first language and they just repeat themselves, get an attitude, make you go in circles, put you on hold, won't get an important email until they hang up "they say". Takes weeks to get a replacement card and they don't have a way of freezing your account and there's no option to through the app. They never want to help you through the phone, they want you to write an email no matter how serious it is. Takes at least 2 days, a lot of times way longer to respond. Even then they dismiss what you emailed about. Its a joke and they are very untrustworthy. Once something bad happens to you and you're vulnerable is when you get to see how scandalous this company really is.

I went on my app and looked for where a phone number could be and I found it. Why couldn't he have said it was On the website. Instead of just hanging up. Worse bank I ever used. I’ll start with saying that I have been evicted due to their carelessness. I started using GoBank last year and I never got my original card and had to use the temp card for months. Well since it’s a temp card...it faded, and I called several times for them to give me my stuff and they sent. So by end of last year, I throw out. I filed my 2019 taxes, and despite me updating to a new account, they still deposited my tax refund and stimulus on the GoBank account from last year. Can’t get in contact with customer service, they LIE and say they r busy when really we know there is nobody there working due to the covid. What burns me up is they have shit open that is not essential...such as marijuana dispensaries, but don’t have a customer service rep available At any call center...and it’s the WHOLE green dot network, GoBank is tied with them. I just want to tell them to cancel account and return money to the irs. They never gave us the update your payment portal either...first it was supposed to be on the 15th, where they deposited several millions of ppl money into wrong account. Now it’s 17th...I’m like they done already deposited that money and unfortunately not In my hands. These jobs are needed...they have no contact with customers. Than they said they can’t deliver to P.O. Box when it is NOT a P.O. Box address...and even if it was, why can’t you send? All my other banks had zero problems, even other prepaid cards. Than charge a steep $8.95 a month for no $500 deposits...so I guess I gotta sit and wait until they take the $1200. Worse bank I ever used and I will be with the FDIC and better business bureau to sue them

It's too bad that there is nothing lower than one star. I bought a card at Wal-Mart for $2.98 and added $100. I didn't realize I wouldn't be able to use my money right away. When I tried to register the card, I wasn't able to. Years ago, I had opened a Green Dot account, and the card they were sending me never arrived, and I didn't really need it so did nothing about it. So when I tried to register this new GoBank card, they wouldn't let me. And I was unable to get through the phone system to talk to someone. There is no email so you have to write a letter to California to try to clear up problems. There is a $9.95 monthly fee. So they have my $100, I spent $2.98 on the card, and can't do anything but write a letter . What a BIG mistake it was to ever get involved with them. No phone support? I see there has been some fraud. Sounds like its coming from inside, so they can't let employees help you over the phone. SCAM!

This service is by far the worst I've ever received from any type of business in my life. The agents never have a clue about what it is that they are talking about and will just guess around to try and get you off the phone. Out of many my latest issue with them is because I need to make a withdrawal greater than $500.00 which can't be made they an ATM. I was advised to do it thru a bank even tho their would be charges. The transaction keeps being declined from their end and I have been on hold for almost 2 hours now. After 48 minutes I finally had an agent answer my call, told me to hold while they pulled up my account and instead of doing so disconnected the call and I had to go through the automated service again and was put on hold. It's been now an hour and sixteen minutes without being assisted. I am currently trying to figure out how to submit a report with the better business bureau which is also difficult since their is no specific address or information provided by them. Please do not use this service if you don't want to risk a heart attack experiencing such horrible service.

To describe this company: A Scam & NOT A Real Bank My reasoning: For the cash back perks by working with Uber, I have a GoBank Card (partnered with Uber). Sadly, there were 4 fraudulent charges made on my account on 2/27/2020. The four charges were made on my account within minutes of each other and at different gas stations and different areas of town. 3 Charges were made for $76 (EXXONMOBIL 48054209, EXXONMOBIL 99594467 & RICHMOND VALERO) and 1 charge for $75 from SHELL OIL 57541840500. Immediately, I called and reported my card lost/stolen & request to open disputes. The GoBank Reps said I wouldn't be able to open disputes/claims on the charges until the amounts posted to the account, that while in pending I could not dispute because the charges could drop off. Three of the charges posted on 2/28/2020 and the last one posted on 2/29/2020. As soon as they posted, I opened disputes with GoBank for the charges. While talking to support, I was told by GoBank that the process would take up to 10 business days and if it wasn't resolved by then, a provisional credit would be placed in my account until the investigation was complete. When I called back, today 3/9/2020 to check on the status, I was told the claims were closed and the Dispute Resolution Department sent me an email with the following wording. "We have concluded our investigation of your dispute referenced above. Based on our review, we are unable to grant your claim because based on our review of relevant information, including transaction and account activity, no error was found." These 4 charges were made within minutes of each other, cities apart, and at places I have never shopped. My vehicles wouldn’t even hold $75-$76 worth of gas at a time, MUCH Less $303 worth of gas in a 30 minute period. It was clearly a well planned scam and happened just two days after I made my largest to-date transfer from Uber to GoBank. We work TOO Hard to be hustled out of our own earnings by a company that is supposedly partnered with Uber. I lost $303 earned over many hours of hard work.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Customer service is a joke. They're free ATM directory isn't accurate. I was still charged even though I used an In-Network ATM. They're dishonest and misleading. I tried calling after the ATM charged me $3.50 for withdrawing money. They tried telling me that I went to an out-of-network ATM. The associate spoke broken English and was clearly reading from a script. I asked them to check the address because I have already confirmed multiple times that I did go to an in-network ATM. They refunded me the $2.50 (they said they weren't charging me for using this ATM) but they never refunded me the money from the ATM owner. I even sent them a copy of my statement with the address of the location. I never got a response. A week later I find my card was stolen and used in California. I live in Florida, I tried to dispute the charge from the app but the only transactions that appeared were the ones that I had made. I figured since the charge was still pending that I had to wait to dispute it. Once it cleared, the option for me to submit a dispute from the app was no longer available and they were forcing me to submit a paper form by mail. (Are we in the 90's?) It's funny that everything is done online, except when you have an issue with someone stealing your money. From the complaint below I am very thankful I was only out $40.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible bank! Do NOT put any of your money with these charlatans...for you stand a good chance of losing it. I lost over $1600.00 with this charade of a "bank". I used their debit card at gas stations because it was giving me a few $'s back...well my card # and pin # got hijacked, and over 2 days I almost got completely wiped out of my savings. I tried to call them as soon as I found out, but could not get anyone on the phone...I waited for over an hour before hanging up. So, I filled out their fraud paperwork, and though it was clear to a blind man that my account had been compromised, they rejected my claim and said everything looked fine. What a joke. Let my loss be a lesson to you...this "bank" is nothing but a scam.

1 month ago, over $300 fraudulently withdrawn from my account. Still not resolved. Hold time is horrendous 1 time OVER 2.5 hours until I eventually I hung up. Each time I call, they add another step I need to take to get this resolved. They originally declined my claim and closed it. I fond out for the first time they needed a police report, although they originally told me I didn't. I've submitted everything and complied with all their requests. They said by March 3rd, it will be resolved. If not i will be reporting them to the BBB,

If I could give less than one star, I would. I actually loved this bank, used this card for 2 or 3 years... until the first time I had a problem. I forgot to cancel an online bill pay, that took a significant amount of money out of my account.. money I needed to pay for a place to live for myself and my 9 year old son. I realized it mere hours after, as soon as I woke up, in fact, and called them WHILE IT WAS STILL PENDING to cancel the payment. I tried to cancel on their all and online: no option. So I called, wrestled with the phone tree while figuring out how to get a live person, only to be told repeatedly, by 3 different operators, that it was not pending, it was complete, and there was nothing I could do. I was screwed. A week later, desperate, I called again... And was told the exact opposite. That it CAN be disputed , but not until it WAS complete; which I did. I filed the dispute, was told in 10 days, the money would be replaced into my account even if they were still "investigating." 10 days?? I would JUST barely have the money back in time. Then got the email about the dispute later, which said up to TEN BUSINESS DAYS... much longer than the ten days I was told. Too long. I waited, hoping it wouldn't take the full ten days. It's fairly cut and dried: the money went to make a payment on a home I'm no longer living in because I simply forgot to cancel the payment. Waited a week... Nothing. Just called, again, and got a pre-recorded statement saying they need more information and instructing me to email it. At this point, I'm livid: why didn't the call me? Text me? Email me? To tell me they needed more info?? It's their SOP to wait for customer to call again to ask for that info?? HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Then, after 3 calls and 20 minutes (during which the operator blatantly refused to comply with FCC regulation regarding transferring to a supervisor), a supervisor literally told me the dispute transaction team will call me once they have a resolution but not until: but they can't come to a resolution until they get more information from me. So why do they not CALL FOR MORE INFORMATION?? Seems like a shady ploy to do everything in their power to keep a customers money by making it as difficult as possible to request to cancel a payment. Thanks to them, there's a very good chance my 9 year old and I will literally be on the street. I will jump through their hoops to get my money back if it takes the next year. Then I will never use gobank OR greendot for anything ever again. On the flip side, same exact situation, using AmEx bluebird prepaid account? Except I realized the payment went out TWO WEEKS AFTER THE FACT, and requested to cancel it (which was a straightforward, simple process), even though I had little hope I'd ever see those funds again. Boy was I surprised when my money was back in my account in UNDER 24 HOURS. I will be using that account from here forward. Steer clear of greendot, they are SO not worth it when something goes wrong.

Absolutely terrible service!A SCAM! My husband and 2 small children Received 4 go bank visa cards from my dad for Christmas who thought they were normal visa gift cards each with $50 a piece on them... 2 of them can not be registered because my kids are not 18 years or older and once you are registered, as my husband and I did, you can not register another card with your information it needs (social security number and birthday) You can not get through to speak to any human on how to fix this!! There is no customer service option that addresses this issue which is BEYOND frustrating. My husband and I went to use our cards and @Gobank had charged us BOTH $8.95 monthly account fee after registering!!!! Leaving only 41.05 on the card! A COMPLETE SCAM! Absolutely NO customer service and a company so CLEARLY TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE! So they made $20 bucks off of me just registering the card for my husband and I and I’m left With 2 $50 cards that can’t even be used and none available to help us resolve the issue. My poor dad who wasted $200 Dollars he struggled to get to get us something for Christmas. Shame On you Go Bank

I rented a car through Hertz/Uber and put down a 200 dollar deposit. Hertz/Uber states that they will return this in about 5 business days. I returned my car over 2 weeks ago and after several calls to GoBank and a different answer every time I am told it may take up to another 20 days for that money to returned to my account. I was disconnected on purpose once by a gobank representative and told there was no supervisor I could speak with another time. Also one representative was able to locate all the hertz charges on my card and the next one was only able to find one. It was literally the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. I will wait until I receive the funds I am owed and then immediately close this account.

This bank needs to be sued! Two weeks ago, someone logged into my account online and made several transactions using AppleCash. I called over five times that day to report that my account was comprised. The non- english speaking indians refused to cooperate with me unless I verified a phone number which was not my own. Apparently, someone logged into my account online, changed my phone number and transferred funds from my vault to my available cash to purchase several items using AppleCash. A week later, I was finally able to file a dispute which resulted in my claim being denied for reasons beyond my comprehension. This bank should not be allowed to conduct any financial business in USA. They do not have any means of protecting consumers personal information, nor do they have a fraud prevention department. Consumers have no idea who it is that we are banking with since everything is done online. Clearly, after reading the comments above Gobank is not an legitimate bank and needs to be put out of business IMMEDIATELY! At the moment, I am currently working on filing a lawsuit against this bank because in the end, money is money no matter how small. -ASP

This review should simply receive a no star. GoBank is a complete joke, I'm surprised a company with no moral compass like this will get a business license and continue to operate in the United States. First I had my account compromised, I had moved from Houston Texas to Sacramento California. I haven't used my Gobank card since I moved here in Jan 2019, all of a sudden, something in Sept 2019, I started receiving multiple transaction alerts from Houston, I checked and found my debit card in my wallet. I quickly called the customer service and complained about the active card compromise. To my surprise, the agent who picked my call asked me if I wanted her to put my card on hold or not. This was shocking because this was a matter of an active ongoing card compromise. I got more alerts as she was wasting time. I asked her to block the card and send me a new card. I also lodged a formal dispute for the money I lost and finally requested a change of address. 1. regarding the comprised card, Gobank blocked my account and never sent a new one. 2. Regarding the dispute, it was informed it was denied when I followed up with them over the phone a few later. 3 Regarding the address change, the asked me to send in my lease agreement, driver license and 3 months of recent bills. I sent all to [email protected], and the address was not changed. I called again after 1 week and they asked me to resend everything and they will take care of it this time. Nothing was done. Finally, I called 6 weeks later and they said they haven't changed my address because my card is still blocked. They said they couldn't unblock the card since I requested for the card to be blocked. This GOBANK or whatever they call themselves is a complete JOKE. KEEP OFF!!!!!; How was I supposed to get the new card that was to be sent if they don't update my address, now the agent is saying there is no process to update an address if my card is still blocked! I was thinking, are they suggesting I expose my already compromised account just to change address? This people need to be sued! This is an ethical issue

I’mThey wouldn’t accept the only address I have had and receive mail at for the last decade, so I have a limited use account-I can’t make a deposit. That is the whole point of having this joke of an account. Even tho it is now nothing more than a horribly expensive gift card, the lousy thieves charged me a monthly maintenance fee. They screwed up the one bill I could have paid. I tried to contact them and they don’t recognize the very email address I opened the account They are thieves, just hands down friggin thieves. Thinking about opening an account? Go anywhere else but go bank! RIP OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF TIP OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF THEY SHOULD BE IN PRISON!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Uber Driver Pomona, CA

Uber drivers, DO NOT bank with GoBank! My account was compromised while I still had my debit card in my possession. Lost $1,245 including my hard-earned Uber earnings! Originally I thought I lost $759.00 of my earning from Uber but then my account updated and I noticed other transactions that I did not do which totaled to $1,245. I sent a dispute form and it took the Dispute Resolution Department 1 month to respond to me only to tell me that my transactions are valid and will remain on my account and the only supporting document they sent along with this letter is a copy of all my transactions. That tells me they were lazy in that all they did was re-print all my transactions from the moment I opened the account and sent a letter of rejection. They did not attempt to analyze my transactions and it is so clear that I do not spend that much money in a day based on my previous transaction history. Most of these unauthorized were gas or atm withdrawals. The theif would spend $100 worth of gas sometimes 3 times in a day and then it would be followed by ATM Cash Advance Fees. I used to use the ATM cash advance fees when I first opened this account but then I quickly learned about the free ones that GoBank shows on the search map and I was only using the free atms which are named as "Cartronics" on the transaction list. I rarely use the ATms Cash Advance unless I can't find any Free ones that are open which usually are located in stores and the one I regularly go to is the CVS store. My theory is that one of these FREE CVS Atms was hacked because I read an article that those can be easily hacked and this GoBank card doesn't have a chip. Or someone hacked one of the Atms machines at one of the gas stations I went to. My other theory is the Gas system GoBank uses and it works like this. If you get gas that same gas station will take out money from your account and then put it back but sometimes it will be alot of money and its never a fixed amount but instead it can be random from $20 to your entire balance. In fact one time the gas station pulled out everything I had in my account that I now I couldn't put anything for gas until they put it back which can take minutes or hours. One time I put most of my money in the vault so that I only had what I needed for gas and when I then transfered everything back, the gas station was still able to pull out money but then they put it back. I asked GoBank why do they do this and they say it's because they need to check if there are sufficient funds in the card but they always return it back. Lastly GoBank never sent me a notification to freeze my account like most banks do when they notice an odd transaction. I had to call them myself to ask them and out of frustration and because I was going to be receiving new earings from that week, I asked them to close the account because I didn't want my new earnings to be stolen as well. In closing my account I was able to contact GoBank by phone a couple more times but if I try to call them now, I cannot because there is no option to select for people that closed their accounts. And like I mentioned, I closed it because I didn't want my New Uber earnings to be stolen and I no longer felt safe using their banking service. Still I should be able to contact them regarding the funds that were stolen and be able to continue disputing. Also, I tried contacting police about it but it seems that police will not do anything unless the bank deems the transactions as fraudulent. I contacted Uber about this in the app and their staff copy's and pastes the same response to with GoBanks contact info, they don't even read my message or the fact that I can't contact them yet they still post the same message with Gobank's contact info which means they either use some type of robot to answer questions in the app or their staff is lazy and don't read my entry entirely. Therefore, GoBank is able to get away with this. Uber needs to put GoBank in Check because Uber partnered with them and it's not okay to allow this to happen to your drivers who work hard only to have their hard work stolen which can potentially ruin lives. That money can be someones rent or their credit card payments that can now be closed or their car payment which for Uber drivers who rent a car, that could be the end of their work. Thankfully for me I had savings and I and have another debit card with Chase (which I can vouch that they are trustworthy, they have chip and they will return your money out of their insurance whenever your account is compromised while they continue the investigation on their end) so I could continue working and earning for my next weeks car rental but this is still not okay. Uber needs to protect its drivers and put GoBank in check.

I was a 5 star Uber driver for over a year when I opened my Uber Go Bank account and, as a driver, there are some good features (i.e. cash back rewards, Uber will cover a regular driver up to $100 or more in the red, instant pay, etc). My initial opinion, therefore, was quite positive. However, I had a dispute with a company that was supposed to rent me a car for short term use while mine was in the shop for service and GoBank sided with the company who had $450+ of my money. Mind you, the company had my money and did not provide me the rental car I paid for, I provided all paperwork requested to dispute the transaction, I spoke with multiple GoBank agents and I informed GoBank that the other company would not even respond to my many phone calls, messages, emails, etc. It took 6 months for the OTHER company to suddenly recognize their error and refund my money. GoBank did NOTHING to help the process. In addition, they REFUSE to change my billing address despite multiple requests and submission of several documents as requested by their phone system and live agents. They took an entire week (7 full days) to credit a payroll check deposited by mobile app drawn on Bank of America and issued by a major corporation. And, despite their ASAP Deposit claim, my direct deposit is taking 2 days longer than it was issued to them. They provide the WORST customer service I have ever experienced and I would give them ZERO stars if possible. I have told them this directly, asked many times for help and I am closing this account the minute I can withdraw all my money.

The worst Bank I've ever dealt with getting paid early is not even worth dealing with this bank. I deposited $2,000 at Walmart on the the card they only applied $1,500 of it and took 3 days just for them to refund my money. Than rented a car they held the deposit and weekly fees and on top took and paid the total balance out my account and never put my money back in my account which was being held, I called about 3 weeks later to see what's the hold up they act like I didn't know what I was talking about just so I screen shots my account daily they talking about they couldn't see it I'll be darn I see it the representative couldn't help so she said she was going to pass it to management which will be calling within the next 72 hours however they never called so I called back them ___ people said they will refund every transaction 60 days from the date of the transaction omg I'm done.

Run, don't walk, away from this scam organization. A couple weeks ago, I made a gas purchase with my Uber Go Bank debit card. The merchant mistakenly entered 2, instead of 1, "holds" on my account to ensure that there would be enough funds to cover the tank of gas. On the 1st hold, it was correctly released when the purchase price posted to my Go Bank account, and that hold disappeared in favor of the actual purchase amount. However, the incorrect hold that was placed (for $76) stayed, and stayed, and stayed ... thus, keeping access to these funds from me. I contacted the gas merchant and they advised that I had to go through the bank, so I called Go Bank ... 4 times!!! Finally they removed the hold, but get this, they didn't credit my account back with the $76 that was held and that they now removed. I argued until I was blue in the face with a quasi English-speaking Go Bank agent, who insisted that the $76 was already added back into my account .... it wasn't. I had her add-up all the transactions on both sides of the ledger, debits and credits, and she was able to finally see that the $76 was, indeed, missing. Now she says they cannot replenish the $76 until the 20th! I have to believe that there must be a FDIC banking violation of some kind involved in this mess. These Go Bank people are absolutely, 100% clueless, and Uber must be too to keep recommending the "Uber Go Bank Debit Card." RUN, DON'T WALK!!!!!

If I could give GoBank zero stars, I would. Here is my complaint. I wrote a letter to GoBank disputing an unauthorized and illegal charge made using my card after it had been stolen. They denied my dispute claiming I had authorized the transaction. I will be closing my account and I urge others to do likewise. When I asked them to provide me with their written policy on unauthorized transactions, they informed me they have no written policy and that they just use their discretion. I asked what would have happened if I had not canceled my card after receiving a text notification of its use (which is how I realized it was not in my possession) and they told me they could not answer the question. That leaves the possibility that I could be left liable for thousands of dollars in unauthorized and illegal transactions.

Careful with GoBank. They entice you to use direct deposits through your employer. Soon as they get a sizable deposit, they block access to your account and accuse you of suspicious activity. WTF? I didn't make the deposit. Nobody has questioned the deposit and GoBank refuses to put in writing what is suspicious about the deposit. They know both my company and I are seeing for their fraudulent activities. File a complaint with FDIC online. It's free and hopefully after enough complaints will be scrutinized by the US Gov't. It just takes up to 60 days to get any resolution regardless of what you do. These people need to be put out of business asap.

I have had my GoBank account for about 2 years and I never had any problems or issues until about 3 months ago. My online account all of sudden I could not add any payees to pay my monthly bills. My GoBank mobile app did not allow me to deposit any checks and in the past I must have deposited at least 50 checks. I called the toll-free number on the back of my card and I had to wait at least 30 minutes before someone finally got on the phone. The person on the phone could barely speak English and I had to keep repeating myself. They informed me they would open a support ticket and someone would get back to me in 2 business days. 5 business days someone called me back and the person said to me, "After reviewing your account there is nothing wrong". I replied, "If there was nothing wrong then why can't I add any payees or deposit any checks with my GoBank mobile app?". The imbecile replied, "Sorry, I will have to open another support ticket and someone will get back to you within 2 business days". That was another complete waste of time and I got so fed up with this lousy bank I went online and transferred over $10,000 I had in the account in $500.00 amounts until my account was at a $0.00 balance. I called them and closed my account and I cut the debit card in half and threw it in the garbage where it belonged. GoBank sucks all the way around...!

I was a GoBank customer for several years and recently closed my account! Over the years I have had several issues but the most recent one pushed me over the edge! My card was about to expire so I called to request my replacement. Not only did they never update my new address but they sent my card to my old address. When I informed them for the 5th time I no longer even live in that city and have no way to get my card I was told I could not do anything at that time. 4 weeks pass and I called again to request another card and was informed that I still could not request another card for a additional 3 weeks!! So basically I have no way to access my money or do anything because they sent my card to the wrong address. And they believe it’s ok for their customers to go weeks without a debit card and had zero concern about the mistakes they made and the trouble they caused. RIDICULOUS!

Gobank is completely out of line, unprofessional, incompetent and unwilling to work with their customers! I I've been using this bank for 3 to 4* years and I've never ever disputed a transaction. On May 19th of this year that all changed when my card information was skimmed and copied onto another card and used over a hundred miles away from where I live. These criminals got away with $170.35 before I was able to stop them by canceling my card. I have been denied this claim twice already although I have provided enough evidence to prove my location, my spending habits and just about anything that could determine the opposite result of their supposed investigation. Yesterday, July 8th 2019, I received a letter dated May 29th of 2019. This letter says that it is to inform me that they have made a final determination regarding the claim. The merchant has identify the error and has issued Credit in the amount of $170.35. They say the credit has been provided is considered permanent and any applicable fees have been reversed and then they apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused me. This money was never put back into my account. When I contacted them again last night and spoke to agents for nearly an hour he said this letter must have been sent by mistake. Like I said completely incompetent and unprofessional. I will not stop fighting for the money that was stolen from me. We should feel safe with our money left in the hands of these so-called Banks.

The company is a scam. I got a card through Uber, because they automatically send one. I lost my card and tried to get a new one. They told me I couldn't verify my birthday so they couldn't do anything. I had to go through 3 people and a supervisor before they told me Uber sent them my information so Uber must have it wrong (Uber have a copy of my ID and ran a background, I doubt they have it wrong). I was told the only thing I could do was cancel the account and start a new one. I asked how I would receive my money still in the account if I did that. They could not tell me because my birthday was unverified. I could verify every other piece of information on the account and offered to send a picture of my ID to prove it. Nope! They didn't allow it. They refused to let me escalate and talk to a higher up. My wife signed up for her own card (before this happened). I recently transferred money over to her account from my PayPal. The balance in the GoBank account never changed from what it was before we transferred the money. She called today, 4 days after the transfer, to figure out the issue. They told us the money transferred but we spent it. How we spent the money before we got it, is beyond me, especially since there are no transactions posted. They also told us the amount was negative $4, even though it was not showing in the account. Apparently, Shell gas station held an extra $5 for getting gas (which they sometimes do) but they just didn't post it this time (but they always do) and a week later hasn't released the hold. Normally it takes, at most, 2 days to release the hold. GoBank tried to steal money from both accounts. We will not be using them again and we highly suggest no one else does unless you want money to go missing.

I would leave negative 100 stars if I could. The absolutely worst customer service in the world. I had my Uber go bank card fraudulently used 400 miles away ten minutes after I used it in my home town and it is been over a month and I have not got any of my money back. The first rep told me that the money would be back in my account within a week. Never happened. I gave them another week, still didn't happen. I called them back only to discover the original rep did not file my claim. I had to file a claim at that point, two weeks later still no progress. All they say is im sorry and I understand, and we need more time, but no answers. It just shows they do not care about their customers. I do not recommend this b.s. organization to anyone ever.

They created a double charge on a large bill payment transaction. They said it was a bank error due to technical issues they are having. However, they say they can't release the funds they are holding of mine, nor do they know when this will be resolved. Customer service gives the run-around. Asked for a supervisor, same! They said don't deposit any more because this might happen again. Simply, insane. Against all banking rules and laws, I've ever known of. This is not a real bank, but a scam. I would give it 0 stars if I could. I have an email from GoBank support prior to the start of our vacation which clearly states I can use my GoBank card in all of North America and it will work flawlessly just as if I were in my hometown in the US. It was not until AFTER we disembarked off the cruise ship in Vancouver Canada with very little cash in pocket we found that GoBank cards in fact do NOT work outside the US. We had very little cash and no instrument to pay for our extra nights in Vancouver, our checked baggage fees, our sightseeing during our extra days or any food we wanted to eat. GoBank was useless on the phone saying "we are sorry but our cards have never and can't be authorized to work in Canada so you will have to find an alternative source of payment." Had we been told that originally we would have moved our funds to a credit card and brought that instead. We ended up missing some of our planned touring, and had to walk quite a distance to a Western Union office and pay to wire money to ourselves in Canada. So all told, spending hours on the phone with GoBank, then spending hours walking to / from and waiting at the Western Union, then having to pay out of pocket to access our own money which GoBank had told us we would be able to use, what did GoBank do for customer loyalty? Basically a big F! U!. Nothing! We have not been reimbursed for even the expenses we had receipts for such as the Western Union transfer fee or the purchase of a prepaid card at the airport so we could pay for our checked luggage (they don't take cash). Let alone the headache of GoBank support misleading us. As soon as I can find an alternate bank, we are dumping GoBank and suggest you avoid it if at all possible too. Another issue I have is that transactions that have moved from 'posted' to 'cleared' in my GoBank online transaction record regularly disappear off the record but are still calculated in the available balance. They are still valid transactions which 'should' appear, but for some reason they are hidden. This causes problems when trying to make sure my own register matches GoBanks register.

My experience STARTED OUT to be a wonderful one! I had this go bank account for approx. 5 years with ONE issue that was quickly resolved by a simple phone call - I made a purchase while I was out of state. They blocked the purchase, but called me to confirm it was me, and that issue was resolved within 30 minutes, where they unblocked my account. That happened about halfway thru my 5 year tenure with the bank. Then, on year 5, the real BS reared it's ugly head. A family member gave me a money order for large amount of money (less than $3,000) to assist with expenses needed after my father passed away. I attempted to deposit the money order via the phone/app option. A week went by, and the money still wasn't available. After approximately 3 months of going back and forth with what seemed to be their rudest and most unhelpful representatives, the money was finally made available to me. During the time, I had to re-send them photos of the money order 4 times, I had to resend them my ID 2 times, I had to write VOID on the money order 2 times, I had to call the bank the money order came from MYSELF to help verify they were a valid bank ... It was the most horrifying and embarrassing experience I'd ever had! They practically accused me of fraud before doing the research themselves to verify the bank it came from and that the account they came from was legitimate! I WAS LIVID!!! The hold stayed on my account for 3 months. 3 MONTHS!!! Approximately 3 months after this, I scheduled for my tax refund to be direct deposited into my gobank account, thinking I'd give them another shot since I'd had a good relationship with the bank prior to the last issue. The bank rejected it for no reason, causing me to have to wait an additional 6 weeks to receive my refund! I won't bank with them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. I loved this company until these incidents turned into the absolute worst banking experiences I've ever had.

My GoBank account was closed without warning due to a Direct Deposit I authorized Uder to make into my account, meaning I gave Uber My GoBank account number and routing number for this deposit to be made. GoBank decided to block that deposit along with the founds I had there already. I call the bank and they tell me that the reason they closed my account was because they did not recognized the Deposit and saw this as a fraudulent transaction. I said ok, I explained that Uber made the deposit with my authorization and by me providing them with the account and routing number. They still asked me for documentations which I provided to release the block. I been on the phone with them for 5 days and they are still working on it. I have no money to pay bills, to feed my family, go to work because I have no gas. I have used every recourse I have to make ends meet. I life has been turned upside down, I have to pay late charges on most of my bills, my phone will be cut off if payment is not made and they are talking about calling me. yeah ok, call me on a disconnected phone. This by far the worst experience in my life. I will be contacting Uber and I'm sure I'm not the only one who is going through this, I'm pretty sure to fight this to the end and along with others let the entire world know what this banks do to people and their lives, God forbid one of my children needs medical attention, medicine, asthmas medication and me with money in the bank I can not use.

First upon speaking with Uber, I was informed that I could re-open my GoBank account so that I could apply for a replacement Debit Card. I called over 20 times to speak with a GoBank Specialist and was finally able to speak with one and the only answer I received was "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" And then when I requested to speak with a Supervisor, I received the same answer, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!". They can re-open previous accounts and they don't provide an answer as to why it was closed. Now I am unable to reep the benefits of using my Uber DebitCard and am very disappointed.
