In one instance I needed to finance an emergency roof repair. Thankfully, I was approved in minutes and my loan was I. My bank within 48 hours. After a year of on time payments, the next year my ceiling caved in from a/c condensation. Again Upgrade financed my home repair. Affordable payments helped me save my home. I currently have an Upgrade card with a $4k balance. When I received a preapproval for a loan (cs 643) and credit card balances that exceeded $20k, I was really hesitant because I didn’t want a hit on my credit then receive a denial. After a couple of weeks, I applied and was immediately approved for $20k loan. Had I know it was that easy, I would’ve applied for slightly more, but I paid off 4 of my high interest cc and my Upgrade card. With such a low repay amount for the loan, I can double up & pay if off faster. Thank you Upgrade!

Overall very good experience. The one strange thing is that I didn't know that the loan was being funded by the Pennsylvania Credit Union. So, the funding could have occurred much earlier than it did. I kept checking the website, and it kept asking me IF I wanted to join the Pennsylvania Credit Union, and since I don't live in PA, I have no need of that. I even called Upgrade, and was told "everything was in order and the loan should be funded very soon. Only later did I call back again, and find out that in order to get this loan, I needed to join that credit union. And it had a $20 fee to start, but the rep said that Upgrade would cover it. So, my recommendation is that when you have an institution funding a loan, that you clearly state that the consumer MUST join in order to get the loan. And note that any joining fees will be waived. That would speed the process up; cut down on customer service phone calls, and the consumer would appreciate it.

My interactions with their employees have been positive but their loan sign up system seems a little clunky. I applied for the loan and signed up for PenFed on December 21st. I received a call from Upgrade around December 30th thru January 2nd who advised my sign up for PenFed sign up didn't register and the person I spoke to said they would update their system. I received another call on January 5th about the same issue and was advised that this time it was noted. The funds finally cleared on January 8th. The calls weren't unpleasant and their employees were helpful, but it appears there could be some issues with capturing all the relevant information at the time of sign up.

I like upgrade because it gives me a chance when nobody will a chance to consolidate my credit cards that was killing me . The process is easy and fast , And it gives me a completely Lay out about my loan and how the payment Is going to be .and it’s affordable . They saw that My payments history was excellent despite the fact that my credit cards were high and they give me that chance to run with it. I can’t say that there’s anything that I don’t like about them

Once I applied the approval followed thru quickly and in a matter of a couple of days; my credit cards were paid off and now I have consolidated my bills with no hassle. Easy, clear and concise. So it wasn’t as quick and easy as I hoped - I had to provide several different paystubs and W2s to verify my income, due to weird stuff with my company last year - but honestly it was still waaaaay easier than getting a loan from most lenders. Got a good rate from an established credit union, auttomatic payments, and had the funds within a couple days of approval. Would definitely recommend for personal loans.

My experience with Upgrade was super great. The first processes were done in less than 30 minutes. Then I went to bed and by the morning when I went to check I was approved. I got approved for an amount that I asked for. It took less than 4 days to received my money... I was very thankful I was able to pay off some bills. Upgrade is a very good company and I would recommend them to anyone.

The process was essentially seamless meaning I submitted my information and I was told I have a matching lender who could do the loan based on my credit file. Once the remaining identifiable parts were addressed the funds were immediately deposited into my checking account and before I knew it the loan process had been finalized. I received an email offer pre approval for a personal loan applied quickly to see what my money offer and terms would be they offered several $1000 more and $1000 less than I applied for with 36 month and 60 month repay options so the flexibility and decision was easy for me . The rates are great, but a lot of work needs to be done on the document submission portal. Each time I would login, it would say I needed to submit different documents I had already submitted, even though I had received an e-mail confirming everything was received. I was given the impression documents were rejected, but after contacting customer service, they confirmed everything was okay.

I like that Upgrade will give you an opportunity for credit, but what I don’t like is the FEES that they charge you to loan you money, I understand that they wanna make a profit, but don’t do it at the expense of customers trying to make ends meet in these trying times with what is going on today with our economy! The reason for my 4 star review is that I think that they should try to lower the FEES on the money they lend you and they are charging a HIGH interest rate as well!
