Choppy support. Immediately after purchasing colo space, they sold the contract to another provider. Very very shady. In addition, they promised us a dedicated internet line at a specific price. Then, they added all sorts of rental fees that pushed it way over after the contract was signed. Once again, very very shady.

Worst internet and customer service ever! Been on hold for 1 hour 10 minutes, they closed with me still being on hold! I canceled internet service which was awful and then continued to bill me for it. They said I never canceled but after I read the conformation number I was promptly put on hold and left there! Monday morning I going to cancel my landline and tell them to shove their terrible service up their tears! I HATE CENTURYLINK!!!

I was with Century Link for several years for my internet service. Each year they raised my rates for no reason. Their internet service was slow for the prices I was paying. Their customer service department was unwilling to negotiate my rates, so I left them for Xfinity.

Worst internet provider ever. Constantly had internet outages sometimes for a few days. Told them when we were moving to cancel our service and they never did. Then tried billing us for a house we no longer owned in a state we didnt live in. Then while trying to fix it they were trying to say we didnt as everything is time stamped yet we did in November. Took a supervisor and his supervisor to fix the situation about an hr later after being on hold for 30 mins.

Century Link is a despicable company right along with Sedgwick, the administrator of their property plan division. This company had a low hanging cabe attached to my house stretching to a telephone pole that was falling over. The city would not repair the pole. The cable fell on my RV and damaged my rig to the amount of 4k. Century link, 8 months later continues to refuse to respond to my property claim. WA ATG won't follow through on the consumer report and I nw have significant loss with an rv with no internet or operating rv due to damage and a custom paint job that is also damages.

Slow and what seems to be throttled internet speeds if it's working at all. Forget someone coming out to do repairs on they're own equipment, they always try to troubleshoot on the phone and make it out to be a problem in your household. Customer service is non existent, you will be talking to someone in a foreign country and keep getting transferred and put on hold only to have nothing resolved.

Closed my Centurylink account in August. It's the END OF NOVEMBER and I still have not gotten the refund they owe me of $86. Imagine if YOU didn't pay Centurylink for three months. Unfortunately, before that, it was BAD and unreliable internet service. Centurylink is an awful company, unreliable, untrustworthy. Their executives deserve to be in jail, not on the golf course.

Horrible customer service. They will never call you back and update you. They will cancel work orders with out notice. Took me 3 hours to get through to a manager and he couldn't direct me to someone with answers and wouldn't give me a direct number to follow up about my issues. told me I would have to start the whole process and no one would follow up with me about my concerns or issues with my phone line.

Perfect example of greed. This company doesn't give a darn about you or anyone else. I have no other choices but may have to be drastic and think outside the Box because I want to get rid of these guys in the worst way they are absolutely horrible. Service is always intermittent sometimes I only have .025 of MBPS. Never have had close to what they advertise. They refuse to update the infrastructure. Worst company I have ever had to deal with the owner manager should be ashamed of himself.

Do you not do business with Centry link! You will regret it! Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever seen in all my years. Instead of helping you they put you on hold and pass you to another person so you can repeat yourself once again. I’ve wasted way too much time on hold with them and I finally had it. I’ve now cancelled my service. They overcharge and bill for things that you didn’t do and they don’t care to even try to fix it. Good luck to anyone who does business with them. It will never be me again!

Terrible install: waited for 2 different technicians who told me widely different stories on what needed to be done. 6 months later internet crashed, set up repair timing, confirmed timing twice with company, then told there was. “Miscommunication” and would have to wait for a time slot another day. Have home-based business do need connectivity. I realize telecom service standards are low but recommend everyone find another option

Stay away! It's about the worst Internet provider in the area. I paid for the 100Mbps package and I routinely get less than 5Mbps download. When my 24-month contract finished, I magically stopped getting paper bills as well. I called a couple of months later and it turns out CenturyLink has been charging me over $100 per month for the worst service I've ever had. Just STAY away from this company. They don't invest in their infrastructure or people. I would put their billing practice as borderline scam as well.

Awful trash. The speeds they offer here are speeds from the early 2000's, its just a joke. Pay for 10mb down and 90% of the time we are lucky to get 4mb. Yesterday the "top speed" was 1.3mb. Anytime I call they say the same thing, just reset your router... How does the Country that invented the internet now have some of the worst speeds in the World ?? It is sad that there is no competition here (Central Texas) for them.

Just had to call in to discuss my bill and had the worst customer service I have EVER received. Had a man named Mike talk to me so condescending he should be ashamed of himself. Asking why can’t I make my own decision since I live in this house too. Asking me why I need my husbands permission to change part of my bill. By far makes me sick to my stomach to be talked to like this and will be canceling all services with them.

Stay away from CenturyLink! Dont switch! Dont believe what they say. The internet is very slow, down time a lot, you will have no internet for days. I have no internet for 2 weeks, I called every day, made appointment 4 times, no one show up to fix. Then I cancelled the service, they charge for disconnection fee, cheating fee, rip off fee, robbing fee, liar fee and I end up with the big bill, even though my bill paid up to date. We are all victims . I surprise that they still exist in the US

I transferred services out of state and the customer service rep never set up a new account for me. I received past due charges even though I was on autopay through my new address. I went one week without internet as I was constantly transferred from department to department, never receiving my refund as promised . Very incompetent customer service, STAY AWAY

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WORLD. I order to cancel my service on December 26th 2018 but somehow there system does not cancel the service till Jan 9th 2019. So I ended up with $108.00 bill which I did not think I owed. To avoid any bad credit and I went ahead made that payment anyway. Since I had setup auto payment they take money out of account as well which ended being 2 payment. To resolve this issue I had to call/chat Centurylink 5 times. Spend atleast 2 hours of time to resolve this issue. NEVER AGAIN...

They are terrible. They never give me a price, only a "promotion." They do not alert me when the "promition" is over and instead just increase my rate. When I notice and complain I am offered a new "promotion." The internet speed is slow and they always have some nonsense reason for it. Service often drops for a moment, so connectivity can be very spotty. The phone reps speak only from a script, and are often difficult to understand. I would switch but Century Link is the only service available at my address.

When its worked, its been fine, and was the only option for a while. However, talking to customer service is annoying...they do not understand the idea that their company's errors cause major inconveniences that go beyond the dollar amount of the service. On multiple occasions in the past year was my wife's work at home jeopardized because of the inability to correctly provide service. I had to escalate to management, who did nothing, and finally to corporate, who agreed with me and FINALLY fixed the problem. This is a company who refuses to accept accountability and responsibility.

I have had CenturyLink, formerly known as CenturyTel, for a very long time. Never had any problems whatsoever until they became CenturyLink. Service became unreliable and when a service call was needed it was at least a 2 week wait. Now that I have closed my account, I can't get my refund check due to being told something different each time I call. Thank goodness they don't service the area I am in now!

I have quest as now century link since 2001. As September 2018 I'm not coming back to them. Reasons is the company have a lot hidden fees. Get to read the fine prints. My bill went up twice amount s without notice. Very bad . Long wait on the phone comstomer service. They suppose refund my money but the no body leave any notes on the computer now they Robb me lol. Good bye centreylink and now join xinfinty.

I switched over from a cable provider and was very disappointed. The sales people were a third party that over stated what was offered and once I became a customer, the third party was no where to be found. The internet was definitely slower, so I ended up switching back.

Worst i internet out there always disconnecting its disconnected over 70 times today thats 1 day 6-14-2018 so imagine a month if i had a choice between centurylink and no internet it would be better to have no internet how are u supposed to enjoy a movie on netflix when a 1hr43min movie it disconnecting 4 times unbelievable if i could rate them a negative 5 star ow i would save ur $ worst investment ever i will be switching plz steer clear avoid centurylink there speeds are a lie and when it does work ur cut off at the worst possible time thx for nothing Centurylink!!!!!!

The only thing good about CenturyLink is that their price is low and you get plenty of GBs of data. Otherwise, they are horrible to work with, customer service will tell you one thing, and then when it doesn't happen they say that they can't really do what they said they could do.

Stay clear of these criminals. I shut off my service (which was a HUGE pain in itself), paid my final bill, and due to a mistake on their representative's part, they charged me for another month of service that I didn't even use. I called to have this mistake removed from my closed account 3 different times, where they said it would be removed, and to let it go through a few payment cycles. The last straw was receiving a notice that they were sending the balance to collections if I didn't pay. Please stop giving your business to this company, they need to be shut down ASAP.

Do not get centurylink. This is absolutely the worst company on our planet. Their customer service is at best pathetic. If you have a question, you will get transferred so many times until you give up. If you have a complaint, they will just just hang up on you. Their service is slow, the equipment is sub-standard and cheap. When you return equipment, months later they will sent your account to collections as punishment. The one star rating is because there is nothing lower on here!

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. They don't care to solve your problems and will lie just to get you off the phone. My internet service was supposed to be activated three days ago and I have been told multiple times each day that "the technician is almost there" or I'm "next in line." It's unbelievable. Worst of all- they're the only provider where I live, so they have the monopoly. If I had ANY other option I would switch in a heartbeat. To be honest, I've never heard of anyone having a good experience with CenturyLink.

We had to wait a week to get a install date. The day comes and goes. No call no show. When we call the nice rep said “Sorry” She could reschedule for 10 days out. They own a PHONE company and they can’t call to say they are not coming? Right now still looking for a company that is working for the customer and not profit. Haven't upgraded in over 12 years, stuck at 1.5mbps at the same price as they offer for 40mbps. Rarely if ever do we actually get full 1.5mbps. They lie to keep us in contract claiming each year its planned to roll out soon. Few contracts ago guaranteeing by end of year or contract year we'd see 1gbps roll out. The next contract they said its delayed. Before signing up with this recent contract the story changed to 10mbps. Although better then what we have if thats all they plan to do after claims of 1gbps then its dangerously close to false advertising to sign contracts.

It is hard to believe CenturyLink is still in business. Their customer service is horrible, they don't speak English, and they read from a script that isn't helpful. They have been down for as long as 4 days and refused to give me a credit. They NEVER provide the transfer rate I purchase and they don't care because I don't have any other competitive options.

Century Link is a blatantly dishonest company that I will never do business with again. In a nutshell, i was lured in by promises of cheap internet, only to discover they had changed the terms on me after 12 months. When I tried to get an explanation, navigating their customer service was a living hell. After weeks of frustration and clueless employees, I finally just quit the service. The whole situation was unprofessional and I felt like I had been deceived multiple times by their sales team, customer service, and advertisements.
