So far I'm very happy with them. They are very prompt. It doesn't take a long time to get them on the phone. The two occasions that I've had to call them and have them send somebody over have been wonderful. One of them was to do a rekey of the locks and the other one was the plumber coming to speed up the bathroom drain.

They've been good. It's a little slow sometimes, but it's adequate. The last time we had to use it was for the A/C. A couple of weeks ago I put in the claim online. They sent me a message back that they couldn't find a vendor. So I went to try to find my own vendor and I guess by the time I found my own vendor they had found a vendor. It just took a little longer than I would have liked.

They were here on time. Take care of the problem. We had a problem with the air conditioning, so I called and they came. They made an appointment. I waited for like five days, but it's worth it when the guy came. It's excellent.

The technician came to our home, discerned the problem with our dishwasher and said a key part needed to be ordered. While it took weeks for the part to arrive and the technician to come and install the part, the HWA system worked. The problem with our dishwasher was solved.

Even if the claim is approved, you spend hours and hours and hours on the phone between the service technicians and the warranty company and the customer service people just trying to fight to get what you need to have done. It takes way too long months I’ve gone without AC multiple times just to get something fixed and here lately, every single claim I have submitted in the last year has been denied even when it’s clearly in the documents that it’s something that should’ve been covered but it’s because the service provider wrote it up in a way that they denied it and the appeals process is a joke completely- they just listen and then say sorry not changing the outcome

I cannot honestly say. I have only had a couple of claims through the years. Fortunately, they were not for anything major and my only concern is that you never know how long it is going to take to resolve any issues you may be having. The contractors you must deal with are not top line contractors and you are sort of at their mercy as to when your repair is going to take place.

Overall, it is a good service for people who are on a tight budget and don't have a lot of time and resource to chase down their own contacts for home maintenance and repair. It can be challenging if you have an unusual requirement (my AC is on the 2nd story roof); it takes patience and some "extra" communication. But so far, all my problems have been solved.

Saved money in service calls - thousands of dollars. They arrange for quick service with respected contractors. Rarely have I had to pay more than the service fee. Great, fast service. They cover things the techs are surprised they cover. I will continue to do business with them.

First off, for some reason, I think the call center is overseas. It's very hard to understand the people that you're trying to explain these issues to with your home. Secondly, from what I've gathered with the few claims I've put in, is that they just call any random person and then whoever gets back to them and decides to take the job, takes it. I feel like if you're going to have people come, they should be reputable companies that you already work with, not just anybody who responds. I had one guy come, I paid him the $75 fee, and he said he'd be back to reinstall something. I never got a hold of him ever again, he wouldn't answer my calls, and this and that, so I had to make another appointment. Obviously, Home Warranty made it right and paid for it, but it just seems like they just call everybody in the phone book, and whoever answers it comes.

They're quick to respond with everything. I'm under cancer care right now and the downstairs toilet broke loose from the ring. I called in on Friday and there was someone out here by Monday or Tuesday to fix it because it was the weekend. So I was fine with that. It's definitely worth the money.

Water was draining through the garbage disposal and the plumber came by and he said that we needed a new one, so they replaced it. Everything's been great. Their phone representatives definitely appear to go above and beyond trying to solve the problem. The only negative that I've experienced really is that you don't seem to have enough service providers in my area to solve every situation that occurs. But I do like the fact that when they don't have someone you are allowed to choose your own provider. They're always very responsive.

When they came, they did a good job. Everything went smoothly. When they couldn't find somebody, it took me a lot of calls and a lot of time. I didn't get reimbursed the full price of the repair and I will never do that again with them. I will never find my own person. They will have to find a person for me. So that part was disappointing. It was disappointing I had to make so many calls to get my reimbursement. After three months, it was approved in December, I finally got it in March.

I needed to call to get my washer repaired and I got an immediate appointment. The tech came right away. Unfortunately, we did need to wait for a part to be ordered, but as soon as that part came in, I was able to get my service done literally within a week. As far as home warranty itself they are very responsive, very on top of things, but whoever they partner with, sometimes there's a little bit of a break, whether it be in communication or scheduling.

I've had several issues and had to submit claims and never had one issue with them. Every single claim was processed and and dealt with promptly. I had a very faulty A/C so for the last three years I had to submit claims every every year, about twice in the summer. I live in Arizona and they dealt with it very swiftly. The companies that they work with are very professional and good at what they do, so they didn't have a problem at all.

I would LOVE to be able to give them 0 stars. I've been paying for "well pump coverage" for over 2 years now. I had a well issue and put a claim in on 2/17/24. They emailed me on 2/19 that I'd have to find my own plumber because they couldn't find one. I got on Yelp and had a plumber booked in under 3 minutes. Plumber found that the pump check valve had failed, and that the pump itself had failed as well. They gave me a quote for replacement, and this home warranty company rejected the entire claim. Not just a replacement, but the diagnosis and it is repair fee as well. I appealed the denial and the case manager sent me a calendar invite for three days later. Never mind my homes of that water. I then called her this morning and immediately getting on the phone. She basically told me that there's nothing I can say or do that would get them to change their mind. She told me that I was supposed to have done maintenance on my check valve (which is hard plumbed into the pump and cannot be accessed or removed) and that that caused the pump failure. I asked her if I'm paying for well pump service, and that doesn't include the replacement of well pump, what is covered by the service. She had no good answer. And then asked to whom I should speak about getting a refund for this. She told me that no refund is possible because I already used the service. She further informed me that there was nobody else, not a boss, supervisor, or anyone else, whom I can speak to about this issue.

They unfortunately take a really long time to find a technician to make it out to your home. They make good on their word to only charge you for the $100 service fee, but you just have to be prepared to wait 7-10 days after your appliance or whatever breaks until it gets fixed if you go through them.

My wife and I was not satisfied with the electricians sent to repair our light. They were unable to Fully able and troubleshoot the problem with the light switch. We ultimately contacted another electrician who was on time and repaired the light switch in 30 minutes. The electricians from “Doctors “ we fill is not competent nor reliable.. That is how we feel about the job being done, ok. It was not Amazing.

I had one experience that was good and one that was not. I had a stove/microwave combo and the microwave just quit and they couldn't get it fixed. So they paid me to get a new stove. They paid me the money to go get it myself, which I thought was great. Although, they made it in gift cards, which was kind of tough, but we made it work. But then when I had an air conditioner go out, they offered to pay for just a super tiny piece of it. And I'm actually in the air conditioning business and I wasn't able to really invoke the warranty the same way to try to utilize my own people or anybody. And I realized the price that they were giving me for that was not what I could get it for.

This home warranty policy is supposed to cover appliances in the home that break or fail. We've had two appliance repair companies make several trips to our home to figure out why the dishwasher leaks all over the floor during cycles, and no one has been able to figure it out. HWA refused to replace the machine. I'm now out $300 for service calls and the dishwasher still leaks. This is sub-standard service, far below what I expected. I will not be renewing the policy with this company, they don't stand behind their contract.

I was disappointed with the the length of time it took to have intervention from a plumber. Our appointments set up by the warranty company were changed twice. Our plumbing issues got worse. We had no functioning bathroom for about 5-6 days. The plumber that came out could not do the work needed, so we were desperate and hired someone on our own. We had to also get restoration services since there was damage to dry wall, carpets and flooring. Nit happy at all!!

This year my HVAC unit went out and I filed the claim and have not been been able to have anybody come out and fix or replace my HVAC unit. And it's going on 90 days that I was without a HVAC unit. Their customer service went down. You're not able to talk to departments that you were able to previously. They continue to drag their feet on that HVAC claim. I've had multiple HVAC companies come out and write their diagnostics, which I've uploaded to their system and I have yet to hear anything from management on what they're going to do. So I am planning on leaving Home Warranty of America. At the time that I chose it back in 2017, they were a good company.

I've had it for like 5 years. I just got through using it on an air conditioner and then the tech came out and said I needed a new outside unit. Then it was like 3 1/2 weeks getting on. They never would give me a straight answer.
