They were recommended to me but I did run into a couple of issues. I thought my freezer was going to give me some grease and I called on that and they said we didn't have that coverage and I said yes, I did. Well, and I did have my paperwork showing that when I started with American, with Home Warranty, but somewhere along the line when they updated something they had taken that part off. So the person I talked to and I made all my notes so I have access to her was the resolution department and she went ahead and she got it taken care of for me to where it was put back on. I had actually taken it out originally to make sure I had the extra refrigerator and freezer covered. I'll stay with them for a little while. If I need them and they can get the service out here that I need, that's great. But if I run into any issues because of them, I will find another company. There are others out there.

We had to use them one time, not long after we moved in. We had a leak, that was leaking in the basement and it was coming from the bathroom, the walls inside the bath, the bathroom pipes, and they were really good, they came out when we called and they were here the next day. The guy did a good job.

They are really good on follow up. Right before COVID, the the air conditioner in the garage went out and we were just at the beginning of shutting down and they were really digital about finding somebody that could come out and get it taken care of. They're just really good, a reputable company. They're like the second, well, they're like the third one we've had. They're the best so far, so we've stayed with them.

Very responsive and have answers to all the questions, so that's helpful. Just recently we had a plumbing issue in the house about maybe a month ago and we had some leaking and whatnot, so they were able to at least fix the plumbing issue and then we had to do the restoration part, but it worked out.

My air conditioning wasn't working and I called the Home Warranty, and there was a message that I could make an appointment online, so I requested online. Within a couple hours, the person contacted me to set up an appointment and he came the next day and fixed the problem. He was very professional.

Our water pump and our well went out and that's when your company's thing was down, service was down so it took a long time and then they wanted me to have the the workmen stand there and wait till they approved this before they did the work, which was really uncalled for. And I sent them all the information on what they did and they denied the claim.

Good customer support, good service, very helpful. I used my warranty when my air conditioner failed and Home Warranty came out, their contractor assessed the situation, determined that it needed to be replaced, and together worked with Home Warranty to figure out a way to replace the system.

I've used my warranty a number of times. You know, everything always gets fixed, and it gets fixed well. Sometimes it takes a while to get a technician in, but I don't think that's something to be unexpected. I've had pretty much good experiences with them. I've used it for my air conditioner replaced recently and they did a great job. Sometimes it's difficult to get ahold of people like you have to leave messages and stuff.

Communication was not great. They were unable to get a tech to service our AC so we called our own tech to come out and went through the reimbursement process. I had to call multiple times to try and get information about the status of our claim. They would not give me specifics on what was covered and what was not covered when I was trying to work with a tech to get my air conditioning fixed. I had to wait until the tech submitted the cost breakdown to see what they would approve. They only gave me an approved dollar amount and that was a couple thousand dollars less than the amount submitted and no explanation as to what was covered and what was denied. It was very frustrating. In the end I did get a check for the dollar amount they approved. They definitely make you jump through hoops to get it.

I'm very happy with and pleasantly surprised by Home Warranty of America. I think I've had home warranties before, but I forgot I had them by the time something broke and I could have used my warranty but I never did. This time, since I had just recently bought the warranty with the house and it happened only like a month after owning it, I remembered and rather than call the dealer I called Home Warranty of America and they did fine. It was trouble free and effortless.

I’ve had a contract for nine years. I’ve used it many times. Some experiences were not the greatest, some were just ok. But my last claim was our air conditioner (again) and we had a woman tech come. She fixed it is 20 minutes. Very, very pleased with how quickly she came and how quickly it was fixed. It’s worth it for peace of mind. I bought a three year contract for a discount.

I think they're great. I've had it for over 10 years. I've used them dozens of times and never a problem. Not a single problem. We needed a plumber and he came. He was extremely knowledgeable about what to do. He he was a terrific professional, nice person. There's some things that they could have chosen not to cover, but they went the extra mile for me. Whenever something's broken, they are able to find a service repairman quickly. And then they come and they fix it.

The lady that I talked to at Home Warranty of America was very understanding, understood my problem and my concerns, and handled it very nicely, very professionally I was very pleased with that aspect of it. They they were trying their best. I had an issue and it took them until this spring to finally get a technician out here. They made several appointments for technicians to show, but the technicians were no shows until finally about a month ago. We finally had a technician come out and fixed the problem very rapidly. It wasn't really Home Warranty of America's fault as much as it was the companies that they had contacted being no shows.

One of the times that I needed the service I had to call in a second time and the second representative gave additional information that was helpful. She answered my questions and it resolved the issue. The first rep didn't even seem like she took the time to look into it because she right away said no. I called HWA and they came provided the service and it was very costly but but it was done.

I did have one professional who kept having to reschedule and it was a bit frustrating on my end, but when I called Home Warranty to follow up on it, they immediately followed up with the service provider. They confirmed what was going on and made sure that I had an appointment. So even when there was a problem, they dealt with it efficiently. Their customer service is is wonderful. The online service for booking appointments is wonderful and easy to use and when I've had to call in, the the people I've spoken to on the phone have been very knowledgeable, very helpful, very courteous, just all around, very easy and good to work with.

I had an issue with one of the servicers and as soon as I got in touch with the customer service department at Home Warranty, they got in touch with the company and it magically got dealt with. I had such a good experience with Home Warranty that I had my sister switch her company over to Home Warranty of America.

Whenever I call them the customer service is good. They always send somebody out within a reasonable time to deal with my issues and the service is excellent. If they can't fix it they they replace it. The service is good. Very recently I had to have a washing machine fixed and it was a minor problem. The person was in and out and they fixed it and I haven't had trouble with it since.

They sent out service rep just 2 days after reporting the A/C was broken. The technician repaired the outside unit and has us back to cool air within 45 minutes after arrival. We are very satisfied with the quick repair time, the professionalism of the technician, and that we only had to pay the deductible for repairs that would have been hundreds more.

I called, I explained the problem, I got an email from a plumbing company within an hour scheduling an appointment. The plumber showed up, was very courteous, attempted to clear the problem and could not. He made a call and told me when the next person with the needed equipment would be here. The next plumber arrived as scheduled, fixed the problem and said thank you to me. This all was Dad’s Plumbing.

Home Warranty of America gives us peace of mind. We know if we have a high-dollar problem in our home, they will work with us to solve the problem. For example, we began having dishwasher trouble recently. A repairman came out and installed a part that subsequently did not solve the problem. HWA is sending us a check for a new dishwasher. I have been very pleased. I had to use it very recently for a refrigerator repair. If I need a repair person locally, sometime it's very, very hard. But to have them as a backup to find somebody and get them here in a timely manner, get them to your home, it's just this is very beneficial. It saves me a lot of money. They're very prompt. They answer within 24 hours. The times that we've called them for service they they've been providing service within 24 hours. When we first bought our home, within about 90 days the compressor on our refrigerator went out and I called them. They came out the next day and repairman fixed the compressor and the refrigerator and we didn't have to do a total replacement and I was very pleased with their work and how fast it was.

Each time I've had to use them over the last couple of years, they just took one phone call and they took care of everything. I just had to pay my $100 deposit or not deposit. My dryer quit working after we moved here and it was about three months and they replaced it for us. I also had a garage door spring break and they sent someone out and took care of it right away and my ice maker in my refrigerator quit working and they sent somebody out and took care of that. Each time it only took one phone call. It's been well worth having the warranty service for the price that we paid for it.

The men who came out to work on my appliances were very, very nice and very competent. Two weeks ago my refrigerator that stopped working. People came out, they fixed one part of it, then another part of it went and they had to come out two more times to fix it and now it is fixed. It was sometimes very difficult to communicate with the people on the phone.

Most of the time when I've talked to them, the person on the phone that I talked to knew exactly what they were doing and was able to handle my problem. One time the air conditioner went out. I called them two days later they were here, fixed it, and went about their business. Another time the dishwasher didn't work they got that fixed in one day. Another time the toilet upstairs kept running they came and fixed that. Everything's been fixed within 48 hours.

And it worked out well for us because we were actually out of town and had the service guy come out and checked it all out. We just had to have a friend come and open the door for him. I needed to call to get my washer repaired and I got an immediate appointment. The tech came right away. Unfortunately, we did need to wait for a part to be ordered, but as soon as that part came in, I was able to get my service done literally within a week. As far as home warranty itself they are very responsive, very on top of things, but whoever they partner with, sometimes there's a little bit of a break, whether it be in communication or scheduling.

I've had several issues and had to submit claims and never had one issue with them. Every single claim was processed and and dealt with promptly. I had a very faulty A/C so for the last three years I had to submit claims every every year, about twice in the summer. I live in Arizona and they dealt with it very swiftly. The companies that they work with are very professional and good at what they do, so they didn't have a problem at all.

I am 82 years old. The temperature outside was below zero and my heat went out. It took 7 days for hwa to get someone out to fix it. It took them less than 3o minutes but I had no heat the entire week. Terrible customer service also! It will not let me delete the word amazing - should be amazingly bad!

terrible. they schedule appointments that is not consistent with the appointments that the 3rd party service provider had scheduled (multiple times). Appointments then get cancelled without me knowing about it and have to reschedule all over again. They also wont get me a technician for several days after an incident has occurred (on multiple claims) The level of communication just really sucks

Home Warranty of America service is very slow. They do not accept priority or emergency calls. I had a hot water heater that went out and it was out for more than a week. I ended up having to purchase my own hot water heater and have it installed myself I will not be renewing, my service with Home Warranty of America when it expires.

Contacting HWA to request and arrange the policy-covered repair in my case ended up nessitating both online and telephone means. It was more difficult and more time-consuming than I could have imagined. (The actual repair person used was excellent. BUT... the HWA administration process required to get to that point was frustrating!)

Recently had a kitchen faucet problem. It needed a hose replacement. Couldn't find the part. Paid $100 for the service call and another $100 to install a new faucet and another $180 for a new faucet. I thought if the part is unavailable then the insurance would install a new faucet at no extra cost. I believe all those costs were not necessary. What good is having insurance???

Frustrated that I can’t log onto the website now to track my claim and that I don’t get regular communication except to renew my warranty, but not a lot of motivation to do that when it takes forever to get claims approved and I have to follow-up.
