They try hard, but they're not succeeding. Had three different instances where I've needed warranty, garage door opener, fireplace and microwave and they've paid one, denied another one and I'm still pending on the third one.

We were out of town. Came home to discover that the air conditioner had gone out while we were out. The temperature in the house was in the upper 80s. I started calling Home Warranty of America right off the bat. They solicited somebody to repair it. Never got any response while the temperatures in the area were well over 100 degrees. I eventually just had to give up on Home Warranty of America. I tried to get pre-approval from them to have somebody else do the repair. I thought that process was underway. I had to repair done at a cost of about $1300. I then went back to Home Warranty of America and they said that I had not obtained approval to have somebody else do the work there, but they would not pay for it.
