Since 8/20 I have had 18 calls for service-7 on my refrigerator-5 of these calls because it quit working. The other 2 for noise. Choice has replaced 5 compressors, 2 condensers, an ice maker plus numerous other parts since 3/21. They keep replacing the same parts, with the same results-a refrigerator that stops working 5 to 10 mouths after it is fixed. Each time it is fixed, we are without a refrigerator/freezer 3 to 4 weeks-because parts need to be ordered and the serve technician needs to be rescheduled. Choice refuses to replace the unit, even though the last two service technicians have recommended replacement. (7/23 and 2/23 ) I could have bought 2 new units for the money they have wasted on repair. The current call was made on 7/23 and it is scheduled to be fixed on 8/18.

You have definitely improved your ability to interact with your customers but it is difficult to interact with your vendors. We were without our washer for weeks while they tried to fix it. I had to go to the laundromat several times at my expense. Could have been better.

I am truly disappointed with the overall experience that I've had. I have had a few claims and there have been many hurdles along the way and little communication that would make the whole process go smoother. I have had a couple of claims handled, but I am currently going round and round over what I thought would be an easy one with a broken microwave. Nope, CHW seems to think my part is available but upon speaking with the Sears technician, that's not the case. I'm still waiting to get a resolution and several phone calls to both parties have led to no answers. Meanwhile, I've been without a microwave for a month now. That's enough. Thanks.

My ceiling fan was replaced with a lot cheaper version that doesn’t hang even on ceiling and makes grrrrr sound ever so often. I feel bad as they are getting veterans like myself to join not telling that you get cheaper replacements. My washer was handled good but the ceiling fan is horrible and they pass you to different people and no one will fix it until it falls off ceiling.

Impossible to contact a human to discuss any concerns. They do reply via email, but most replies are not on target of the subject, and the english grammer basically sucks. They do not perform well at managing claims. So far they take too long to provide service or are not able to provide the service and either cancel my claim or put the responsibility to locate a provider on me. This is terrible service. I purchased this warranty expecting much better quality service.

I am a new customer, I bought my warranty with Choice when I bought my new home 2 years ago. I've had 4 claims in that time. 2 were minor and worked out fine, the other 2 have been difficult and I am in the midst of A3 month long ordeal. So my opinion is still being formed and don't want to be discouraged yet. We'll see. If I could give 2.5 stars, I would.

Your response is fast however the area I live in must be difficult to locate service providers. I pay what I think is a lot of money for your warranty service only to be offered to find someone myself, take photos, copy receipts then submit for approval. That’s why I pay Choice. Then you (Choice) haggle with the contractor over their price for service. Maybe if your only concern wasn’t to shortchange the contractors and clients your business would flourish!

The claim was easy to file and I got a very quick response. Within a few days a technician came to house to address our Sharp drawer microwave which was not working. Upon his evaluation, he determined that the control panel was dead and that the manufacturer no longer made or repaired the item. Hence it would require a complete replacement. Conveniently I was able to follow the developments at Choice's website After being very efficient, this is where things went very bad. After a few days I received an offer of $191 to cover the cost of a replacement which is $1400!!! When I rejected that I was assigned a case worker and spoke with her. That was a complete waste of time. She said $191 was the amount and no amount of common sense on my part made any difference. Basically she said "take it or leave it". So I under this so called "warranty" program, I receive $191 to replace an item that cost me $1400!!!!!!

Prompt response. The last last time I used it was for the washer and dryer. The drum was not making noise. They were able to send the technician within a day and if he was able to fix it on the same day when he came in. They always send qualified technicians.

I'm legally blind and sometimes it's a little bit of a hassle to file a claim. When my dishwasher died someone came in, he looked at it, he did what he could and it still wasn't working. So they said they were going to replace it and they said okay, we'll give you the price of what we can get the unit for. Which meant for a $500 dishwasher, they gave me $129.

I use my warranty for my furnace all the time because it breaks all the time and no one's saying that I need a new one and it's over 20 years old. So until they do, I can't get a new one. I've had probably 20 people come for the furnace in about 3 years. I had a complaint about a certain person coming to fix something. They still send the same guy back.

It's not horrible, but it's not the best either. I think it can definitely improve. I called for my my hot tub recently and they didn't cover the hot tub. Meanwhile I purchased the extra coverage for that. I called this last week for my air ducts. I had a leak in my air ducts and the technician came and he found that the damper motor was hanging and they rejected that claim. You should be compensated for something that you're paying for.

Quality of service is great. If something can't be fixed, I have to replace it and because of depreciation I get a certain amount, but at the same time some has got to come out of my pocket. My air conditioner went out, I called it in and they got somebody here in a timely fashion and they got it fixed within that week.

Reply time is too long via the app. I send a message and it takes a day to get a response. I have only had to actually use the service once and the service provider was good. But I don’t think chw monitors messages in a timely manner. My first service request was very confusing and chw sent two different providers for something I had sent a message to cancel the call completely

Does Choice Home Warranty have a plan that allows an insured to just renew at the same price as the initial plan? Our plan is $1,000 for 3 years but what Choice is offering us is considerably more expensive. Our service cost fee is $45 but that fee is much higher with the new plan policy. Please check the numbers for a renewal & let me know what the cost to renew is. I have had my policy for 5+ years & when I renewed after 3 years the initial cost did not increase. Thank you

I've had multiple incidents. It's all been with one product, the A/C unit, and when I talked to them about a replacement they said the issue was due to preexisting things. I provided them with all the information that shows when they did the initial inspection, there was nothing shown as as preexisting. I've had two separate companies look at this that said, you know it's in fine working order and I provided them with that documentation saying there's nothing wrong with this unit. I feel like Choice Home Warranty will avoid actually replacing something at all costs, whether or not they've got the right to do that. So not real happy with that and I certainly and very hesitant to renew my home warranty with them as a result of that.

They're very they're very good when I speak to them on the phone, but when I do online, it's not as easy. I just recently used my warranty as a matter of fact and I tried to do it online but that didn't work out for us. So I called them up and told them what the problem was and filed the claim that way and they sent someone out very quickly thereafter. I think it was like a couple of days. I had a plumbing issue and the guy they sent was a great plumber. He came and he helped me. It was just an all around good experience.

They've been very responsive and even when we had to reschedule an appointment it was done pretty easily. We've used it a few times for the dishwasher, washer, dryer, refrigerator and the refrigerator item was fixed once. Washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher had to be replaced.

Not always the quickest to get a technician to respond and when using the option to choose own provider, very difficult for my clients to get the technician to understand what is needed to provide Choice Home for diagnosis. Client and technician are both often irritated with amount of requests for further or repeat information.

What I do not like is that you have your reps calling and making different offers to entice me to renew my coverage. Why am I not receiving just your "best" offer and why am I continuing to receive ongoing offers via email when I have already signed up? I also do not like the fact that certain services have limitations with respect to dollar amounts, particularly with costs continuing to escalate.

Had a stopped up drain could not us toilets or bath and shower. Was leaving town in two days on 18 so needed it done quickly. Company they got could not do job till 23 rd. I called and was told if I change I would go back to beginning of line they had no sense of helping me out. I wound up hiring a plumber and paid for repair. So have been with choice for a long time and seems they have no sense of urgency.

Well, I’ve had four technicians come over to my home and I still do not have a fixed refrigerator and my first appointment was April 4 and today is May 16 and they have to still come back for fifth time, so am I happy no!!! And when I scheduled an appointment for the fifth technician to come over on Saturday the 13th they say to come on Friday the 12th when I was not home so now I have to wait till the 20th because I’m not there during the week. So I’ll let you know on May 20 and see if my refrigerator gets fixed.

What I liked about the company at first is that it was affordable for me. And they gave prompt service. then after I was with the company a year they automatically went up on the price for services they just automatically want to give you and . didn't ask me if I wanted them. Next they cheated me out of my reimbursement for work done on my house even when I called and asked was there a deadline because they couldn't get anyone for me. Lastly they didn't inform me that they were going up on the deductible until I called in for service. Just poor service when it comes to notifying customers of changes in cost for service.

I’ve been a customer of Choice Warranty for two years and so has our son’s family. In my opinion here are the “good & bad” points: Good- they respond very quickly and I’ve found the service companies they contract with to be very polite and competent. If it’s a small claim they approve it in 2-3 days. Bad- If they can’t repair an item, they take weeks to approve the claim, then low ball the replacement cost and will only give you a gift card at Lowe’s compared to my previous company that sent me a check. We recently had an AC coil become defective and in 3 hours ( compared to 2 weeks for our son’s washing machine) they denied the claim .saying that air quality had caused it develop a leak. That’s why I bought a home warranty.,

When we first move into our house, we were having problems with the air conditioner. Choice Home Warranty came out here and basically explained to us that it wasn't covered, even though it probably should have been, and we ended up having to pay, I don't know, between $500 or $800 to have it fixed out of pocket. I think they should be more transparent in what's covered and what isn't covered.
