Only 2 stars because the technician came as promised and on time, and he was friendly. Everything else was down hill a m washer was left in pieces, completely unusable. I paid $85 to have a leaky washer fixed that worked fine otherwise, and now I have no washer.

I bought a plan with Choice because I just bought a home and know how things can break especially when the home is old. My air condition unit and handler need to be replaced (mind you from wear and tear) not anything that I did or can control and Choice will not replace it or even help replace it. This is after I had to file several claims to get to this conclusion. So they are basically telling me that I got ripped off using their company. I plan on getting a prorated amount back from them and never using choice again.

Right now I'm trying to use it. They said they can't fix my appliance and they said they'll replace it and then they offered me an insulting amount and then I had to appeal it and they still gave you an amount towards a new one that doesn't even compare. I have a three thousand dollar microwave speed oven and they gave me nine hundred dollars. The oven was only three years old so there wasn't any wear and tear and I had to go buy a new one out of my own pocket.

You basically can't ever talk to someone, it's always through email. And I think with a home warranty you should be able to talk on the phone about your home to make sure you're getting the right technician out.

They denied coverage on a part we needed replacing on our dishwasher basing the decision on “not normal wear and tear.” After I explained that it was not subject to beyond “normal wear & tear”, they changed the reason as being “not covered” in our contract. If they told me that in the beginning, I would have ordered the part and not wasted time dealing with them on the phone. Crystal never understood nor apologized for that discrepancy!

Refusal to pay for a broken thermostat to make my system work. No call to me, just from the repair company, not even a call to give me options of what you would pay for to make my system work. Left me out there hanging to pursue other alternatives. If I don’t get a call to find out why this all happened, I will have to look elsewhere for warranty service.
