Scam company. Look at the number of lawsuits against this company. Agents lie on the phone and tell you everything is covered. But when you get your contract you find many items that are not covered. Perfect bait and switch. Now I want to cancel and they want to change me a fee etc. Even though the agents tell you that you can cancel for free anytime etc.

Customer representatives mislead as to the offer and cost of service. I was told that the cost would be split up into 4 payments but the full amount was charged to my card. Also the policy that was emailed to me did not match what I was quoted. I would advise potential customers to steer clear of Choice Home Warranty. I am going to report your company to the Better Business Bureau.

Microwave starts and stops. We are now on the FIFTH call. Order was lost once, cancelled by Choice once (?) we’ve held on the phone TWICE for over 20 min and then been disconnected. FINALLY Fed Up we told idiot rep to cancel our policy. He quickly transferred us to the “Retention” dept. Here, the friendly salesman sweet talks you. They basically won’t let you cancel. He baits you with promises of 2 months free—nope. That didn’t happen. Microwave still broken. No one at a Choice cares, good luck to you.

I just purchase the total plan from them, the policy they sent to me only mention the coverage is for platinum and gold plans. There is no mention for Total plan. I asked the agent who sold me the policy and he doesn't even know about different plans exist. I don't know whether it is a scam or not. They also sell you database to other companies. They keep on calling me with different products to buy, even I told them I don't want it, she still keep on talking wasting my time and my cell minutes.

I had a warranty that included the pool and hot tub option. When my hot tub stopped working in the winter I filed a claim. They denied the claim on the basis that my hot tub was an above ground hot tub and that was not covered. My argument was that the majority of hor tub owners would have above ground hot tubs. They said businesses such as hotels have in ground hot tubs. So why offer hot tub coverage to consumers? I was not informed when opting for the coverage that my hot tub would not be covered because it was above ground

I like Choice but don't like their assessment of costs to replace appliances. my micro wave oven combo is $2500, Choice offered me 700 to replace it, based on their assessment that the average costs for replacing a micro wave oven combo is 599. I don't agree with their cost assessment. I think it should be higher. I couldn't find the same costs, don't know where they came up with that estimate.

We called to have someone out to look at our washer. The man that came out was great, told us what was wrong, gave us a repair estimate and said he would submit to Choice to see if they planned to repair or replace it. We got a response from Choice stating there were no mechanical issues found and no repairs were needed. I responded thinking they had made a mistake and they responded with the same exact verbiage as the first email. I am very disappointed!

I have been a customer for 3 years with CHW. On Jan 8, 2020, I called to report a hot water heater leaking. I finally had a service co come on Jan 13, 2020. The tech said the hot water heater needed replacing. He sent his report in and it was denied because they don't cover, "water holding tanks." I had to pay the service fee. Why didn't CHW tell me on the 8th that the heater wasn't covered? No hot water for a week is terrible! The service fee added insult to injury.

Just had Choice out to repair second refrigerator, which I pay extra for coverage, had a leak in the cooling line, when repairman person called Choice the claim was denied because leaks are not covered, when I purchased the warranty I was told all repairs are covered, if not repairable it would be replace, The repair person said this is the only company that he has dealt with that denied a claim for this problem. I will be writing reviews on any site plus contacting the BBB.

Horrible service. Furnace went belly up the day after our policy went into effect and CHW denied the claim saying, "it was a preexisting condition". It was the middle of winter and so according to CHW, we lived in a home that was not heated prior to our policy. When we bought the policy the representive pressured us hard to buy a five year policy...sure glad we declined...I wouldn't want to be tied to CHW any longer than the year we signed up for. There are better Home Warranty companies out there folks.

I took off work to open a beach house to repair a refrig. icemaker. A time was scheduled and I took off work to travel to the coast to open the beach house to meet the repairman at the appointed time. He did not call to say he was not coming, I wasted a day. Poor service. will cancel after repairs since I have already paid the $60 deductible. Be aware.

Very difficult to get the to replace stuff that equivalent to the one that went bad! I don’t like arguing with the adjuster from New Jersey when they low ball the replacement item. It took several calls before we finally got a replacement equal to the item we have.this has happened every time we call in to repair or replace something!

Our claim for our leaking plumbing and damaged dry wall was denied. They went out of their way to make excuses for why they wouldn’t cover it. Even the repair technician they hired and sent out didn’t understand why they wouldn’t cover it. Terrible customer service, terrible experience. Zero faith in this company ever actually honoring their warranty. If we ever have another claim, I can’t wait to hear their excuses as to why they won’t cover it either. So far it’s been a waste of money.

They refused pay for my repair. I called back and they sold me an extended warranty and asked me to wait 30 days to use it. After all they refused pay anyway saying that my problem is not on the covered. But they have the Plumber report since the first day! Choice Home Warranty is not an honesty company. They are tricky, racist, and no respect for costumers. Don’t do business with CHW.

I was mislead by 2 different agents who led me to believe that my recent claim would be covered. I paid a service fee & then the claim was denied. No work was done & I wasted more than a week for a vendor to diagnose my issue. I was hoping to at least be reimbursed the service fee. After I appealed, I was assigned a case manager who basically denied me on the spot. I asked to speak to a supervisor & was told that nothing further could be done after the case manager denied my appeal- extremely disappointing!

They didn't disclose pertinent info and do NOT cover what they claim. Took 14 days to dispatch a company for a water heater. The company came 4 times to do more damage than was original claim. Busted walls, sewer backed up in to house and misdiagnosed water heater. 30 DAYS without hot water. Replaced, at their recommendation to find out it was a $12 part. Called in new claim this am, talked to a manager and specifically named Mounts Plumbing to never be sent to my home again. Guess who they dispatched this afternoon!!! 😡

Too many exclusions included and the coverage is not great! Had a water heater problem with the house I bought a year and half ago, and they would not cover the cost/expense of repairing or replacing the water heater. Have been a loyal customer with Choice Home Warranty for 7+ years with 2 claims! Make my premium payments on-time every month. Not fair!

Getting ready to cancel 3 policies. Choice will always find a way to deny a claim. I've been a client since 2015. I put in a claim for a shower leak (they said there wasn't one); a claim for a stove/gas leak (they said there wasn't one, and yet UGI had to come in, cap it off; and I had to buy a new stove) and a water heater venting issue (they don't cover vents). In each case, they charged $45 to tell me they couldn't do anything. That plus the annual fee .... not worth it. A ripoff.

Choice is a ripoff and a waste of money. They always try to find a way to NOT cover a claim. The door springs on my dishwasher broke and I was told that it was excluded from coverage. The customer service rep who took my phone call didn't tell me it wasn't covered so i had to pay the service charge and then be told. I appealed and it was denied. In my opinion it is a waste of money.
