They denied my claims, the policy has a LOT of exemptions, be aware before you buy. My ac had a water leak, that's one of the exemption, no covered. I hire an ac company they told me I need a new unit because this one is from 1996, (when the house was built ) we new we were going to need it that's the only reason we buy the insurance. All the parts were so old and rusted that they can't be fix, that was a $7000 quote for everything. I place another claim with all the issues were found, they send a technician, he said I need a new AC unit but the company is going to decline for sure. Company get back with me stating I need to pay $575.00 for non-covered charges and they will no replace the unit but only replace the air handler. I had the policy already for 2 years they told me if I need a new AC unit they will replace it immediately and any appliance in the house. Don't waste your money. I still have to buy new AC and installation $7000 out of pocket.

In a recent review of your claim, our records show the claim was never denied. The claim shows that Choice Home Warranty was covering for replacement of the failed part, which was replacing of the Air Handler. The diagnosis reported no additional failures.
I show that this information was told to you and you refused the replacement and requested to cancel the policy.

WORST COMPANY EVER I WOULD RATE THEM A ZERO! I work for a plumbing company and CHW called us to do a job. I told them what our hourly rates were and if it was an hour away we get a 2 hour minimum rate. They called me back and it was approved. We went out 3 times for them and did the work that was requested and when it was time for us to get paid they told us we were getting $120.00 and nothing more. Told me their people would never approve those rates everything these people said was a lie to get us out there to do the work. Then when the work is done they decline paying us. This was the worst Warranty Company we have dealt with. You will be sorry if you work for them because you will get paid a tenth of what you should be paid!

I rate choice the lowest rating for customer service. My ac went out and you refused to pay $35. For a failed wire that went from my ac unit to the thermostat. She Said it was because it went inside the house. How else will a wire go from outside unit to the thermostat. For $35. You lost a customer who pays $50. Monthly. Your representative Campbell did not care that I was going to cancel my warranty if you did not pay the $35. I asked her for contact info to her superior and she refused to give it to me. My appeal was of no use because she did not even consider it she simply denied it on the spot. I will never use choice again and have cancelled my warranty. I will go on social media to warn other people about your unfair practices. Thanks for nothing.

Choice Home Warranty is just like any other home warranty. Yes they do cover parts that wear out due to normal wear and tear. But if a major appliance like an AC unit develops a coolant leak and is not repairable then they fall back on that little line that gets them out of replacing it. A coolant leak is not due to normal wear and tear so they will not be replacing it. I have to have that done on my own. I know people in the HVAC business and very seldom does the entire unit need to be replaced due to a moving part that wears out because of normal wear and tear. So I guess it goes back buyer beware. Don't bother with Choice Home Warranty. Save the money and bank it. Pay for the repairs yourself because when something major happens you'll be paying for it anyway.

Service people in my area don't like to work with Choice since they make it so difficult to get paid and the service people have to jump thru too may hoops when they just want to get the job done asap. for my recent claim, I have to wait over a week for a service call and I'm losing food from my freezer every day.

The worst customer service ever. I've been with choice home warranty since 2017. Until this year I have not had a claim that required them to replace anything. This year I have needed two items to be replaced my dishwasher and my refrigerator both of which I have had to fight as if pulling teeth because they don't want to replace, only want to pay, but they don't allow enough money for you to purchase your replacement item. I requested a supervisor no one ever called me back. I've been dealing with the same issue with my refrigerator since December. I have requested a new case manager because Renee who is rude and a liar with horrible customer service apparently told them or put in the notes that I accepted the offer, $400 is not going to buy me a refrigerator because you choose not to fix it. I asked for a supervisor to contact me and that's been almost a month ago and guess what I have not heard from a supervisor or any one for that matter as of yet and I have called 3 times within the last 30 days. However, I looked at my claim status and as of 4/7/20 is says I accepted funds. I have not even received a call back to discuss funds, an amount or anything of the sort. They are publishing fraudulent information! I also paid for three years in advance. What a mistake that was! At this point I would advise no one, not even my worst enemy to do business with choice home warranty! At this point I don't know how much longer I'm going to be doing business with them either. I’ll take a refund on that last year!

Worst home warranty experience, by far. (I have used 3 and had excellent results with the other 2) I switched to them for specific coverages discussed at length in sales process (on a recorded call). They could not produce the call, nor were they willing to pay the diagnostic fee for a claim on something that should have been covered. Something they deemed non coverable, my Home Insurance company thankfully covered under systems protection plan, completely the same requirements to be covered, interpreted differently by CHOICE. No supervisor would speak with me. Only the "Appeal" person, & that went nowhere. Staff was pleasant to deal with, just unable to assist.

We filed a claim on our forced air gas furnace. The problem we had was the pilot light would not light. The technician found that the circuit board, the smart gas valve & the pilot assembly were all faulty & recommended replacing all of the items. CHW denied coverage of the smart gas valve that controls the amount of gas provided to the pilot light because in their discussion of GEO THERMAL furnaces, the word 'valve/damper' was listed. And, because they denied the valve, they also denied the Pilot Assembly. The furnace we have is NOT a Geo Thermal furnace. It is a FORCED AIR GAS Furnace & the most integral part of this furnace is the Smart Valve/Pilot Assembly. CHW only paid for the Circuit Board ($172.36) and we were forced to pay out $739.76 + $65.00. Essentially, CHW denied payment for that part of our furnace without which, the furnace cannot operate. We were deeply disappointed in the service/coverage provided & will provide information on our experience to all who ask, as well as to the BBB & our states' Attorney General. Thank you.

Choice Home Warranty is the absolute worst Home Warranty company, and I would not recommend this company to anyone. In the middle of the Coronavirus Pandemic, my water heater stopped working. I opened a claim with the company two weeks ago, and I still don't have hot water. This claim has been assigned to 4 different service companies - the first service technician refused to keep the appointment; the second service technician made two trips, replaced parts and final made a recommendation that the water heater be replaced; the third technician did an analysis of the problem and finally came to the conclusion that the water heater needed to be replaced; and now, CHW is insisting that a fourth technician make a service call for what they referred to as a 2nd opinion, whereas it is actually a 3rd opinion. In the middle of the Coronavirus Pandemic, when we are supposed to be self-isolating, I have to keep allowing strangers in my house in order to get CHW to honor my contract. On their Web site, they promote the following: "If the technician comes out and cannot perform a covered repair, CHW will replace the unit." I am now about to deal with a 4th service technician, not the one technician that they promote... I am still waiting with no hot water - cannot shower with warm water, cannot wash my hands with warm water, cannot wash my clothes with warm water. Taking a cold shower is not quite as refreshing as one would like you to think!

Agree with all the other customers who had issues with Choice in reference to paying claims and replacing equipment. Instead of replacing your appliances, they will cut you a check for $499.00...then once you complain they will insult you even more by giving you an additional $100. I Immediately cancelled my contract and went back to First American Home Warranty...they will replace your equipment no strings attached. Been with them for years...but decided to use Choice after a friend of mine talked me into a special that was going on. But then within months he left because of the same issue, and my issue came around and they low balled me...then i knew it was time to go. I'm back where i belong and i'm not going nowhere. Choice HW keeps calling me to come back and all i can tell them is to kick rocks. They are out for your money and as a home owner... you need that peace of mind...Choice is totally stress for you. And just so you know....my particular issue was my washing machine. It stopped spinning and all Choice did was send out a technician....who after 3 weeks who said it couldn't be fix it. He order multiple parts, replace them, and nothing. Reported it back to Choice ...and what i assumed would be a replacement washer next, turned into them firing that technician and hired another technician from another company. This technician had similar issues...they order parts as well...and guess how long that took....3 weeks. Then they finally said we will depreciate your washing machine and give you $499. My washer was one of the new sensor washers so they shorted me $300....so when I complained they ended up offering $550...like really. To top it off you had to wait 2 weeks to get the check. That ended up being 2 months without a washer. Again they can kick rocks!!

Ac was not working and they denied my claim because a “refrigerant leak would have been prevented by routine maintenance “. When I had a tech out at the end of last year it was working just fine. How often are you supposed to have routine maintenance done? I have never had any issues with my previous warranty company but choice was cheaper each month. Well cheaper is not always better. I will be going back to my previous warranty company. The tech they sent was great though. Also they tried to get me to take advantage of a deal for a home alarm system which I do not need because I already have one and the agent became very upset that I was not interested. All around have not had a good experience with them.

Your response time was excellent but every time I use the warranty the tech say you guys don’t cover what I need done. I am on a fixed income and my wife has lost her job due to the Covid-19 and this last claim cost me over $800. If this was the first claim like this I wouldn’t think much about it but it is every claim that has cost me more or they said it wasn’t covered. Time to start shopping around.

In Nov I opened a claim on my Kenmore refrigerator due to it not working properly. Repair man came and figured out what part was broken and submitted the information. The tech attempted to order the part but was given the run around by the suppliers. Then was told the part is not available. According to the tech this information was passed to choice. The stop gap measure the tech put into place finally stopped working and the fridge was useless.. Contacted Choice again and they finally processed the fridge as needing to be replaced. Choice then offers 499.99 to replace the single door refrigerator. Only problem is this is not what i have. i have a french door refrigerator that cost 4 times that amount. the contract states that Choice can offer what ever they feel is acceptable for replacement of my appliance. when i complained they stated that the first offer was just a form letter that goes out in all cases and after consideration they could offer 699.99. Still not even half the cost of a decent french door refrigerator on sale. Also funds are sent via usps and can take up to two weeks to be received during a time when going out the house for anything puts ones health at risk. So if you have Choice then don't expect them to replace your appliance. Even keeping up with repairs seems to be difficult for them. From my first claim till now it's been six months. Even other claims are hit or miss. they do not verify the techs they use. ive had to request different techs on multiple occasions due to incompetence. i give choice zero stars and i would not refer them to anyone.

When I was searching for home warranty companies I called Home Choice Warranty and their product was sold to me by a very enthusiastic sales person. I was told that all of the major home systems were completely covered including hot water heaters. Our hot water heater went out recently and our claim to replace the water heater was denied. We were told that our water heater tank exceeded their size limit of 75 gallons. At no point did the sales person tell us that there was a size limit. I wonder what other loopholes they have for other home systems such as HVAC? When we told the appeals representative that we were willing to replace our 80 gallon tank heater with a 50 gallon tank, the company found a LOOPHOLE and again denied our claim. They did offer to pay $350 dollars toward a $975 dollar bill but that is not what I paid for. I was told that they would cover 100% of the replacement cost minus a $75 dollar service fee, which we have already paid. The technician that Home Choice Warranty sent to my home told me that in his experience Home Choice has consistently denied claims to replace hot water heaters. He told me that AMERICAN HOME SHIELD seemed to be more reliable when it came to paying to replace hot water heaters. My father has used American Home Shield for years and has made multiple claims with satisfactory results. I will be going with American Home Shield since I have canceled my policy with Choice Home Warranty. By the way they charged be $50 to cancel.

Although i see alot of reviews with great experience's it amazes me because this company is the worst every claim has been a problem and I mean every claim I have put in has been horrible but this last claim has me levit with all we are going through right know this company has no compassion no nothing my stove went out sunday my parts cost 300.00 so they choose to replace it and send me 299.00 that may take 30days what Iam suposed to do without a stove for thirty days Iam so disappointed ive had home shield warranty and never had a problem with them I wish I would have went back to them cause choice home warranty could take some notes from them and not to mention there is no way I will find a stove 299.00 so theres more money that I dont have to be spent on a stove that this company claims on the website if they cant fix they will replace dont believe it cause thats not the case. So disapointed so many complaints 1, ceiling fan never mind iam not even going to get started with that compliant i hope some one really reads this and makes some changes cause this is not good for your business

Wasnt the best experience. Upon making the phone call and letting the lady know our issue, she instantly focused on us renewing our warranty, which doesn't expire until June. Once we were able to get off the phone, we recieved an email stating we couldnt get service for 6 days. WHERE SHOULD I START. THIS COMPANY IS THE BIGGEST SCAMMER THAT I EVER CAME ACROSS. I DID A CLAIM ON MY REFRIGERATOR. THEY END UP SENDING A THIRD PARTY COMPANY TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE AND THEY COLLECTED $85 + $50 MONTHLY CHARGES THEY BEEN CHARGING ME EVERY MONTH. THE TECHNICIAN MENTIONED THEY ICE MAKER IS BAD AND HE NEED TO ORDER THE PART AND HE WILL COME BACK AND INSTALL IT. VERY NEXT MORNING I GET A CALL FROM THAT THIRD PARTY VENDOR TELLING ME CHOICE WARRANTY HAS DECLINE MY CLAIM. I ASK WHY AND THEY MENTIONED I HAVE TO CONTACT CHOICE WARRANTY FOR THAT. I CALLED THE CLAIMS DEPARTMENT AGAIN AND THEY MENTION BECAUSE THERE IS LAW SUIT ON THE THAT REFRIGERATOR THEY WILL NOT COVER MY FRIDGE. AND TOLD ME I HAVE TO CALL THE MANUFACTURE. I TALK TO MANUFACTURE THEY MENTION THE THERE IS NO SUCH LAW SUIT EXISTS AND WARRANTY HAS BEEN EXPIRED ON MY FRIDGE AND THEY CAN NOT HELP ME, WHICH I UNDERSTAND I HAD THAT FRIDGE OVER 5 YEARS. CHOICE HOME WARRANTY PEOPLE SIMPLY LIED ME AND TAKEN MY MONEY. I WILL BE FILLING LAW SUIT AGAINST THEM. DONT BELIEVE ANY OF THESE OTHER REVIEWS THEY ALL ARE FAKE. THEY ARE JUST SCAMMER

Choice warranty has been the most difficult warranty company I’ve ever used. The technicians are often good, but some are well, not competent. The bigger issue is the companies strategic denial processes, often against the recommendation of their technicians. I had a great experience with American Home Shield, but can see this company is less about protecting and Servicing their customer, and more about making money. It feels shady and like a scheme. I can’t believe they haven’t been sued out of existence. Currently considering a BBB claim and have contacted the attorney generas office. I think it’s time to stand up against this immoral and possibly criminal practice or fleecing customers.

I didn't like the fact that the first amount was a low ball amount. You low ball first and play the game and you feel great if it's accepted. It's like a scam to convince you to accept the offer. If not, you have to wheel and deal with a person as if your trying to buy a car. Then I'm told the amount is the "cost" value. What consumer buys at cost from a retailer. You were $10.00 away from the price I needed for a comparable Microwave and you wouldn't budge for the $10.00 difference. Come on!!!!

I HAVE TWO CHOICE WARRANTY CONTRACTS. ONE FOR MY RENTAL HOUSE AND ONE FOR MY HOME. MY EXPERIENCE WITH CHOICE HAS BEEN VERY BAD. UNFORTUNATELY I GOT THE 5 YR PLAN TO SAVE MONEY AND YES YOU CAN GET OUT OF THE CONTACT BUT IT WAS NOT TOLD TO YOU IF YOU DO YOU HAVE TO PAY BACK ANY REPAIRS MADE PLUS ANOTHER LARGE FEE CHOICE HAVE. I'VE MADE NUMEROUS CLAIMS TO CHOICE BOTH AT MY RENTAL HOUSE AND MY HOUSE. ALMOST 90% OF THE TIME I'VE HAD TO APEAL THE DECLINE AND TREATEN TO CANCEL AND THEN THEY MIGHT OVER HALF THE COST. MY TWO MOST RECENT CLAIMS WAS FOR THE HOT WATER HEATER WHICH CHOICE REFUSE TO PAY FOR AND THE REFRIGERATOR WHICH THEY REFUSE TO PAY FOR. SAYING ITS A LEAK IN THE SEAL SYSTEM WHICH REPAIRMAN WOULD SAY THE COMPRESSOR IS OUT BUT CHOICE HAS AN EXCLUSION THAT SAYS ANY LEAKS THEY WILL NOT REPAIR. ALL REASONS WAS ALL THE EXCLUSIONS CHOICE HAVE FOR NOT REPAIRING APPLIANCES WHICH IS BASICALLY EVERYTHING. IN MY OPINION THEY HIRE THESE SHADY REPAIRMEN AND TELL THEM TO GO OVER ALL THE EXCLUSIONS AND CHOOSE ONE OF THOSE FOR NOT REPAIRING THE APPLIANCE. I THINK IT'S A TOTAL RIP OFF. YES ALL OF THIS IS IN THE CONTRACT FOR ALL THE EXCLUSIONS. I KNOW NOW TO READ EVERYTHING. MY PROPERTY MANAGER TOLD ME NOT TO GET CHOICE BUT I JUST LOOKED AT CHEAP PRICE. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Do not get a warranty. There is so much fine print they barely cover anything. If they do cover an appliance they only give you their wholesale price, not what it actually is worth when you have to go buy it yourself. Roof coverage is a joke. Anything on a dryer that would break besides the motor is not covered. Their people are nice, i feel bad for them constantly having to give denials. SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT USE THIS.

This company is a scam. , I am disappointed to say that Choice Home Warranty (CHW) has not provided me with the positive customer experience and the seriousness with feedback that is promised in their mission statement. The company claims to do everything they can to help their customers get back on track. However, since September of 2019 my family has been deprived of a functional AC unit due to the lack of promised repair as per my contract. I believe that this company uses false marketing claims to attract customers but does not adhere to said promises. The promise of the contract is to either fix or replace, but now that an issue has arisen I am only being offered a fraction of the total cost. I should have bolted after my first experience with them two and half years ago when they denied my claim for my AC unit repair under flimsy loopholes. In my experience, I am noticing a trend with the tactics of this company. Every time a high-end unit or part breaks down CHW has denied the claim. In 2017, my first AC unit broke down and choice home warranty denied that claim as well. The excuse for denying that claim was neither corrosion or rust. During that time, I went ahead and personally funded the purchase of the new unit. In that case, it appeared that the CHW contractor came with the goal to sell new products rather than fix the existing one. This methodology again conflicts with the aims of the company and does not have the consumer interest prioritized. If I’m constantly responsible for majority of the costs on top of my monthly premium with CHW I am not sure what service I am actually being provided.

Everyone should very carefully review the coverage. DO NOT think that for example if your HVAC system is covered - and it breaks down you will automatically get helped. I have just been told by Bred/Brett a supervisor at CHW on the 17th March 2020 that my range hood is NOT COVERED although it was as I understood looking at the policy. The HVAC compressor, if that is broken and even if their technician (an extra $60 charge) confirms it - it is up to the "authorization department" to deny or accept the charge to fix it. So you may have no coverage at all although you thought you did have coverage after having paid in access of $400 for the home warranty. This is indeed a practice that needs to get to the State and it will.

I just signed with CHW, so have no experience with their services. However, the price I paid was excellent compared to my current home warranty company , and the money back guarantee is a welcome feature.

The worst warranty ever...in my 2 years of having this warranty they denied to pay for anything even a leaking toilet... when my furnace started to blow carbon monoxide through my house they denied to replace it too. Choice home warranty is the biggest crook of all. They will assure you that they cover everything meaning absolutely nothing. You are better off saving your monthly payment for repairs. Personally I would give them 0 stars but the 2 are for being really good at lying. I advise everyone to please look for this company on YouTube before choosing them.

They have denied my last two claims. 1st claim was for a sticking latch on my dishwasher. They pointed out that hinges are not covered by my policy. Umm, isn't the hinge at the other end of the door, sort of a picot point. Today they denied my sump pump repair / replacement because it wasn't a permanent sump pump. What is a permanent sump pump? It's been there for 5+ years, that seems about as permanent as a sump pump is going to get. On top of that I'm out $45 for the plumbers visit. Seems like typical shady insurance tactic of deny first and hope no one questions it.

This company is available for a claim at anytime, however, I researched and purchased a 3 year warranty, paid in full up front. I have filed 5 claims over a 3 year period and exactly 1 was covered. I paid a service fee for each person that came out and 4 claims were "not covered by the plan". Today a leak in my bathroom was considered to fix the leak of the toilet but not the damage to the subfloor, tile or sheetrock! I had them come out a year ago when I saw water damage to the sheetrock and their expert technician/plumber said there were no issues, probably just old stain! There was also an offer to repair the damage off the record since it wouldn't be covered anyway. Seems like a bait and switch deal to me. I know it was new and now I have a huge hole in my ceiling and damage to the entire bathroom floor. Do not sign with this company! Everything about this just works like a scam. The final straw was when my A/C went out the claim was denied because the housing on the outdoor unit (15 years old) had rust on it. The denied saying it was not properly maintained. Absolutely ridiculous! Biggest financial mistake in a long time just trying to be careful! Couldn't be more disappointed, just wish there was a negative star rating I could give.

These shysters called me right as my previous home warranty expired and sold me a contract for 3 years, which I paid off in 4 months. I feel like a complete fool. Now I'm only a year into this, and come to find out they don't even cover water heaters. What's the point of having a homeowners warranty that doesn't cover water heaters? Stay FAR away. Edited to add: You can see what I mean from their reply. Pure shysters. They don't even attempt to address their shady sales practices. There is no way anyone would sign on with a home warranty company knowing that home warranty company doesn't cover the very things you get a home warranty for: water heaters and air conditioners. They know they pull a fast one on their customers and have no intention of being a company anyone should want to do business with. Stay FAR away.

Horrible warranty company, if you even want to call it one!!! They send out repair technicians who clearly evaluated my AC in person stating the repairs needed were caused by normal wear and tear. Choice home denied the 710.00 claim despite their hired technicians evaluation. I appealed the claim and choice appeal representative said their master technicians reviewed my claim along with pictures in New Jersey ( my residence is FL) and felt it was not normal wear and tear so it was denied. She further stated that the technicians always consider everything normal wear and tear when its not so they always deny normal wear and tear claims???? WTF? You can google the issue my AC had and main #1 cause is normal wear and tear???

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????? SCAM!!! The water heater began leaking.. we waited more than a week !!! for a person who could fix the problem .. the water on the floor in the bathroom constantly ..... we finally got a visit, BUT they did not change the water heater, because these scammers do not insure the appliances but just some parts of them .. and our water heater was broken an uninsured one ... Well to talk to the manager, I had to wait for a message with his phone number for 24 h... and then I have to myself (!!!! ) call him. Wow what the amasing customer service!! and do you call them the best insurens company? my advice is - please read independent reviews, NOTHING GOOD, just the truth is about these scammers and a lot of unhappy people, who lost money like we are .. Stay away from them. Should be ZERO stars.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with CHW. They sent an electrician to repair my gas hot water heating system. They sent the same company SIX times over THREE weeks, each time stating my system was repaired, only to have it fail again within minutes or, at the most, days. They never left any paperwork or receipts. This was in the winter, in New England. When they finally dispatched an actual heating system technician he declared my system was 'irreparable' and CHW took no responsibility. In addition the technician would not return calls, I actually resorted to calling from my daughters phone, and then my work phone, as it was clear they were avoiding me. The one positive thing I will say about CHW is that their customer service staff are VERY WELL TRAINED. Each time I got off the phone I was convinced that my situation would be resolved, but it was not. They are trained to tell you what you want to hear and to get you off the phone, and that they do well. It was one of the most frustrating experiences that I have ever had as a consumer. I have cancelled my service and would warn anyone against this company.

The price is great but I guess you get what you pay for. This claim has been dragging on for over 3 weeks. Beginning problem was Choice Home Warranty lack of vendors in our area. Next problem is getting our claims manager to communicate with us. Our itemized invoice sat in her inbox all week and now when we call the voicemail says she is pretty much no longer with the company. Oh and no one has communicated that detail with us so really our claim approval just hangs in suspense. I have had multiple emails supposedly sent up to managers and still nothing. From my experience with this one claim I will most likely not be renewing and will advise other military friends against this company.

My claim was denied for a reason that is not even true. I tried to tell them that and give them proof that the reason they cited was incorrect. I was told to submit a formal review to try to get it covered. I did this and was assigned a case manager. After the initial response from the case manager, I have not been able to get any response from her for a week. It has been terrible service and it seems like they build in as many conditions as possible to be able to not cover your claim. It is frustrating that they cited a section of the terms that is not even correct for my situation and now won’t even respond to me, despite my case manager’s voicemail answering machine stating that she would specifically be in the office this week. I would never choose this company.

If I could rate the company less I would. They can't be trusted. I had a crack in a cast iron pipe going to my furnace in winter causing me not to have heat. First off they said it would take 3 days to get someone here. You could clearly see a crack in the cast iron pipe which I took pictures of. The technician agreed with this and I have text messages from the technician stating this. They then don't approve the claim saying the leak was coming from the teflon tape and the pipe wasn't properly installed. The installation was done over 10 years ago and they are trying to claim the leak is from that and not the crack clearly above that area. They also say the technician told them that. I explain I have text messages from the technician telling the opposite. They say it was in his report. I ask for the report from him and then they say it was in verbal conversations with the technician. They say the phones are recorded so I ask for proof. They say they are unable to provide it. I explained the technician is saying opposite of that to me in writing in text. The technician also went on to text me that Choice Warranty has changed what he has submitted before. He actually texted me: "they lie on me all of the time to cover themselves." If you need any proof of what I am stating feel free to contact me and I will provide it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Horrible company just stay away, ask yourself why you can't find their Google reviews. No sense of urgency when you need them, our covered claim taken 3+ technician visits over 2 weeks, they send unqualified low cost techs who don't know what they are doing and your responsible for dealing with them, not the warranty co. Also existing claims ARE NOT 24 /7

First thing the wait time is way to long ...I can call local work people, and have them out the next day . My frig and freezer went out , and I’ve been scheduled for next Monday , so much for trying to save some of my frozen foods. Hope yours never goes out and you loose a couple hundred dollars worth of meat and items. By having to wait six days, your rating as of today is one because you answered your phone call. And then he is going to come out to see what parts he needs to order...what happens if he thinks it needs to be replaced....the answer below is misleading , I paid a lot of money for this coverage, so I answered yes. So I put 1star because I don’t know yet...

I have attempted to use the service for a simple ice maker repair. CHW calls a local company and then sends me an email that the repair person is coming at such and such date and time and if this time isn't convenient, they give the number of the company for you to call. The problem is one company I called, the business owner was very upset and said CHW hadn't paid him for work he had done for over 3 months, so he refused to come to my home unless I paid for a service call and hired him outright. The price was ridiculously high. So I contacted CHW and filled out the form that the work hadn't been done (my only option). Weeks later, I get another "appointment" from another local repair person. Again, I had to call the repair person to get a different time. The business owner was dumbfounded and said they had not agreed to any work for CHW, and that I definitely was NOT on their schedule for the date and time that was quoted to me by CHW. He made it sound as if they were in the beginning stages of possibly signing up, but the owner was hesitant because they service appliances that people buy from him and didn't know if they could take on much more. Almost a year later, still no ice maker. We are now having major issues with our mini-split heating/cooling system. But I'm reluctant to contact them and go through this all over again. We live in a small town that is approximately 30 miles from the next largest size city. I wonder if this type of service would be better in more populated areas that had more service technicians. Our contract expires this coming October. At this point, we definitely won't be renewing. I wonder if any other home warranty companies are better.
