My first experience with this company was a nightmare! My fridge broke down and so I called them. Two days later they never called back to tell me when someone was coming out so I called them. They said they couldn’t find anyone to come until 1 week later but I could call someone out, have the repair comoany call Choice with the diagnoses and they would approve it. I would then pay them the full amount but Choice would reimburse me. So that’s what I did. I got someone out the very next day. I called choice for the approval and was on hold for 45 mi utes! The charge was approved and the total bill was $1174 to fix it. I paid the repair company and then later got an email from choice saying they would reimburse me only $440 and it would take a month to get the check. Ridiculous! I had to do all the work and pay for the far majority of the work myself. When they sold me the program they said I just needed to call them and someone would repair it in 48 hours and I would only have to pay $45 each time I needed something repaired. Choice is a rip off!!!! I did finally talk to a supervisor that was helpful and offered to send me a check for the full amount for the repairs so I’m upgrading their review to 3 stars.

Our repairman (After 5 Plumbing) has an issue with keeping the customer updated on what is going on; missing his appointment days and only giving updates when I call him and ask what is going on. It took a few extra weeks to get our dishwasher repaired; however, one week was caused by us contracting Covid when he finally did schedule us. Overall, he does a great job; eventually.

It was with great ease I made my first claim through Choice Home Warranty. The process was easy and straightforward, the very next day a repair man was at my house and all I had to worry about was the deductible, So far it has been a good decision.

Your representative was very knowledgeable and offered multiple enticing cost saving plans. However, I did not realize when I provided my Discover Credit Card, that I was paying for an entire year. I needed more time to make that decision and asked your representative to cancel that payment. I would contact you once I have decided what plan I would accept. I trust that cancellation was done.

I'm reserving a 5 star rating once I get reimbursed for having to call my own repairman after sweltering while waiting for someone to be sent by the company. The promised coverage will reimburse in full, minus the required $45 service fee, which is a fair cost. My only desire would be more companies Choice could find to send out but the recommendation I received from friends to call was fantastic (Carolina Cool in Surfside Beach)!!!

Brittany our agent was great. I talked she listened and gave me exactly what I needed to cover my new home. I had used another company AHS years ago and they were good but Brittany and Choice blew them out of the water on what I got covered...the price....and the monthly payment. This company is serious when they say they put your needs first.

I called on my dryer on 5/20/18, it was working Finely a service was called in Garland Tx some 90 miles away. Service man came cam 3 times over2 weeks. Claimed the dryer could not be fixed on Saturday I believe. . Was contacting Choice. Man from Garland tore uo=p my my exhaust tube. Choice contacted me about sending another service out from Texarkana, Tx some 110 miles away. Man called gave him the no.s off the machine told the problem with it. He came tore it up. Put it back. Said what he needed . Called this morning, said parts be ib next Wednesday, would make appt then. Be over a month wash and dry.

On 4/25/2018 at 9 PM, food waste disposal leaked water from the bottom. Within 2 hours after new claim was filed online, I was notified by email that a technician will be dispatched on 4/27/2018. JR Maintenance Tech Services came to diagnosed and replaced the disposal on 4/27/2018 as scheduled. The technician Mr. Junior M. was skilled and courteous. He did a wonderful job! I am giving Choice Home Warranty only 4-star because the company recently refused to authorize repair on a defective gas valve of my heating system.

My stove needed repair. The repairman came when he said he would come. He fixed the stove in about 10 minutes and left. He was friendly. I was very happy to have my stove in good working order again. Choice Home Warranty is really nice to have.

I completed the claim online which was very easy to do and later that day, I received a phone call stating the company that will be doing the repair. The repair was completed in 3 days from the original date of claim. This was not an emergency repair. Very happy with this repair.

So far both times we filed a repair the people you have sent out are average Joe not professional repair people and are not very knowledgeable in repairs one telling us. "I'll have to look online to see how to repair your washer agitator"?? Then with the bathroom faucet repair, they did a messy job. The gasket sticks out from under a new $80 Moen dual handle swivel neck faucet (that does not match any other faucet in our other 3 bathrooms we had no choice in style which was a single hot/cold arm) and the drain plug pull lever was bent by installer kid. If we have a paid in full upfront Gold membership, why don't you at least let your customer choose between a repair company OR if we don't like them let us get a trustworthy repair company we know and trust to do the job. Not keep sending the same shotty repairman back? This last repair guy was trying to scam us saying it was $45 for both the washer and dryer when your claims Dept told us $45 total. That did not go over well not did the tech get paid another $45. These last two service techs have driven beat up old rust filled vehicles and were dirty clothed people. The sink repair guy not only left his mess behind but then criticized us because we have a large beautiful home and only pay them $45 for service fee, then said its a ripoff basically to him as a plumber. I'm sorry but after our washer and dryer are repaired we will be going back to American Home Shield. That 30$ more per svc visit and having a reputable business is more important and worth the extra dollars. The repairmen they send are polite, clean, and have company vehicles. I'm not really happy as a "gold" top line customer. We paid for 5 years up front not too happy w the only two services thankfully we have a fairly new demo home and repairs were minimal. My girlfriend was glad the first plumber was gone he belittled the two of us because we had nice vehicles and upscale home and told us your warranty is a joke. Who hires these idiots to do your service calls? Maybe you should find more companies that are reputable and clean to do your repairs. We are in Franklin Oh would love to have Miamisburg appliance service our washer and dryer but you won't retain them. If we are "Gold" members then shouldnt we have some say in who we want in our home servicing our repairs? Especially since we paid you over $1200 upfront? We will be switching back like said to AHS soon and getting a refund on the remaining 4 years of warranty.

Been with CHW for 2 years, I have 3 homes with them ( 2 are rentals). I have not much of claims but a few. Two subcontractors being sent are very professional and prompt but 2 are the worst ever. One was sent to repair garbage disposer, I had issues with communication with the subcontractor's scheduler. But it that person had so many issues with other customer as well because he was new as I was told by the technician. Now that subcontractor had supposedly replaced my disposer but broke same night. The new technician said that he doesn't even know the brand or the supposedly new disposer that was installed. Needles to say CHW gives the subcontractors the funds to replace it but the subcontractors make more money from the work done by installing/replacing it with cheap kind. If there's better screening process of the subcontractors working for CHW then it could be better. Second , the repair person/company for my Dishwasher (C&D) came checked my dishwater and said that the problem was the thermostat. My husband had looked at it the night before and saw that the heating element was burnt. I mentioned it to him, looked at it and said oh yeah. That's the problem! OMG! Does he even know what he is doing? Took 5 weeks to order the heating element, charged CHW for $150 but I saw the heating element in Amazon for $26. Called CHW and complained. That person never rescheduled the repair until I asked CHW for another repair person to come after 5 weeks. I was surprised I had the patience. All this time, I was calling CHW for updates. Until I got tired of it!

Representative was very on cue when explaining the many options being offered by Choice Warranty, one year versus life time costs. The options in payment and utilities that are covered aby service fee on each call for service. I hope never having to call for service, but it is a good umbrella to have when it rains.

awesome service I asked for service on line yesterday,got a reply in less than 30 min. the service provider was contacted and an appointment made . the provider arrived before the appointed time called to alert us. replacing the garbage disposal took less than 45 min in the door to out the door. Very veruy pleased.

I just signed up today so I cannot speak for the actual product but they DO have probably the very best prices you will find on a month to month home warranty. BUT......visit Choice Home Warranty once for a simple quote and you will end up being blown up by emails and constant phone calls for WEEKS. If Choice did not have pretty much the best (best I have found) deal then I would not even have considered it. There is a fine line of "too much" and Choice goes well past that in its attempts to get your business. And the guy I spoke to when I finally chose to answer what was probably the 30th call or so since I looked for a quote.....he was a pushy salesman, I almost want to say I sensed a bit of rudeness.....certainly when I asked that I wanted to think about it a few hours, please call me back later....and he simply pressed me to choose NOW....yeah that irritated me a bit but I went ahead and signed up, probably in part to end the constant emails and phone calls.

I'm a returning customer from a few years ago. This morning I called to start new services on my two properties. I had to call customer service back less than 3 minutes from my initial phone call. Mr Damont B. was OUTSTANDING with additional follow up question that I had. Mr Damont did not put me on hold and didn't speak to me as though he was trying to sell anything. Mr Damont is very PROFESSIONAL and in my opinion deserves a pay raise or a promotion. More Choice Home Warranty representatives could learn from Mr Damont's professionalism.

I have called twice to get more information about the program and while I did elect to purchase a warranty, it was only due to the product and NOT the folks on the phone. Both gentlemen were extremely pushy and frankly were rude to me once they realized I was 1- still trying to make a decision and 2- not interested in the multiple year plan option. I realize that these men may be paid on commissions, but you will never make a loyal customer of me if you don't respect my need to first gather information and second respect my answer of no. If I weren't sold on the product itself there is no way I would have purchased it based on my experience with your emplyees. One even commented that he didn't understand why I was calling and wasting his time if I wasn't ready to purchase right then. If you are trying g to improve the face and image of your company, I would start with the folks answering the phone. Super obnoxious.

It was very easy to go online and sign up. Although I did get a call from Wayne just after I signed up and he was trying to get me to buy the warranty and told me it was $420.00 after I had just paid $450.00 and he told me he would get with his supervisor to get me a refund and that a supervisor would be calling me and I should get an email. I still haven't received either.

Today January 8th around 8 10 a.m. I went into my kitchen and water was flowing from my bathroom into the basement so I called Choice Home Warranty. The woman said after quite a while said that someone would be coming Thursday the 11th to fix a plumbing problem. That would be 4 days for me without water.! But I accepted it. But then I got an email saying that someone would be out to fix the problem at the wrong address. So I called Choice Home Warranty again and told them that the problem is at 550 Highway 79 North Foley Missouri. Not 1457 South Lake Sherwood Dr. Then the woman told me the plumbing company and their telephone number but she got the number wrong she left out the number 5 then I looked up the company and call them. He said he would try and make it here before January 11th. So with the woman getting the phone number wrong and the late service I give you guys three stars not five.

The person I spoke to when reporting my claim was nice, but seemed a little unsure of himself on the phone. I was specific that I would only be available Thursday or Sat due to my job, but 2 hours later received an email and recorded phone message saying someone was scheduled for the next day (Wed) between 11 and 3pm??? Why, when I was specific to my availability, would he have scheduled the appt at a time not convuenent for me? Also- why is Choice warranty now setting my appt when you clearly do not know my availability? Most people work and can’t be available on demand. Very frustrating on top of the fact I’m already stressed it’s cold outside and I have no hot water. Choice warranty’s process is just adding additional stress as now I have to leave a meeting tomorrow to call the company assigned to ensure they don’t show up tomorrow when I’m not here.

This is my first experience using choice home warranty, first time I had to use it they worked fast to get someone out to us on our heating unit. (we Live in a rural area) so it took a couple of days for someone to get to us, the person they sent was and is great. the blower motor went out he replaced and the choice rep was great. still having issues and to wind up paying for an issue that wasn't covered. but it could have been so much worse. I still would recommend choice home warranty.

I chose them because they had the highest customer rating. Whether Choice Home Warranty remains a good choice remains to be seen when the people I obtained the warranty for has to call in to have something fixed.
